I really have no words for today’s first featured affair. Which is weird because I usually have words for everything. And I mean everything. But this wedding, photographed by the always incredible Andrew and Katrina of Sedona Bride, simply took my breath away. The simplicity, the joy, the edited but totally romantic style. It’s beyond beautiful. To see even more images, click right here.

Kate and Norm are hotshots…they go out and fight all those crazy wildfires. They decided to have their flagstaff wedding under the san francisco peaks at their training camp. It’s so sweet that they picked a location that was so sentimental to them, and where they have spent so much time. Family and friends came from literally all over the world to attend the wedding. From Brazil, New York City, California, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and everywhere in between.
Their wedding was relaxed, beautiful, and so very personal. All the details can be credited to Kim Duncan, of KD Events…she is a must-have at weddings as she really does an amazing job creating themed details that pull together an event.
Seeing Kate+Norm in their designer wedding attire contrasts sharply to the clothing they wear in the course of their normal routine, which is the heavy fire-fighting gear. They tough people, and they dress up quite nicely
We were so lucky that this noon wedding…all photographers can tell you that midday is the *worst* time to get married because of the harsh light. But the couple had a canopy to soften the light. Kate’s sister is our good friend, Cameron (who is a fabulous photographer) and she was able to talk Kate into adding this for photos.
It was a lovely, lovely wedding.
Thank you so much to Andrew and Katrina of Sedona Bride for sending us this gorgeous bit of inspiration. Make sure to check out their blog for even more eye candy!

Gorgeous bride...beautiful wedding...!! Congratulations!!!
joyful, cozy, and artfully simplistic beauty abounding! what a cheery vision on this gray monday morning...
AHHHH! that tent! beautiful images!
Such a cozy wedding! Beautiful...
Oh, these are so beautiful. I love their expressions, the smile when kissing, and even the secret glances at each other. Absolutely stunning!
I love that a majority of pictures I can remember here are of the couple smiling and having fun.
The bride has the most beautiful blue eyes : )
I really love the photos of her and her father dancing...
So this is my SISTER, Kate!! I was 9 months pregnant for this event and I knew I didn't want to photograph it plus attending my sister's wedding was important to me. My whole family was there and I knew I didn't want to work. Good thing, Katrina and Andrew are so incredibly talented!! LOVED ALL THESE PHOTOS! The moment I walked onto the scene at this wedding, I said to myself, "Oh this is so Style Me Pretty." Kate wanted something like a backyard county fair but not cheesy and of course Kim made it classy (she styled my wedding too). Those apples are locally grown from Garlands Orchards in Oak Creek (Sedona) and that is not a tent--It's poles wrapped in fabric with more fabric pulled taught over it. Kim thought of it (actually Kim pretty much though of everything, you NEED her SMP readers)!! It provided just enough shade from the sun but not too much since October in Flagstaff can be chilly. Sadly, this venue is not available to the public - Kate and Norm got it because they have connections with the US Forest Service. There are plenty of lovely National Forest spots available for ceremonies for very inexpensive day use fees.
Pure awesomeness! Love, love, love all the sweet details and it's clear the couple were having the time of their lives. Katrina+Andrew ROCK! xoxoxo....anne&bill
It was an honor and a pleasure to work with Kate & Norm. Being out in the field the majority of the summer they gave me a few ideas of what they wanted and let me run with it! The end result was simple elegance.
Katrina & Andrew captured every moment & detail of the day and the photos are amazing! Outdoor weddings are my favorite as you have a blank slate to work with and create whatever mood or style you want. Of course they can also be challenging dependant upon the weather. Kate & Norms day was nothing less then spectacular!

Fantastic details abound. I think the desert bar is the way to go... droolll. Well done!
Sedona Bride is so fantastic. This beautiful wedding looks like it was a blast!
Cameron, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to know how Kate made this "not-tent" tent!!! I have seen things like this done before but I have never seen a diy! Have been dying to know and hers is so so lovely! Thanks again...what an adorable affair!
Megan, contact Kim Duncan (see above) and ask her!! She is the responsible creative! You can see more photos of it on Sedona Bride's blog post.
kim you did a fabulous job as always! any bride would be so lucky to have you design their wedding! seeing one of kim's is like watching the olympics .... you think wow that tripple loop looks so easy ... but really its hard to do. kim's weddings look beautifully effortless but kim works so hard to make sure *all* the details are there. she definitely puts her heart heart into every wedding. hugs to you kim and congrats on the style me pretty features! we can't say enough about hwo much we loved working with you on this wedding !! xoxo {katrina+andrew}
Great photos! My dream wedding is to go hiking in Sedona, Arizona
I love the farm tables. I am getting married in Flagstaff this year, and I have been looking for picnic tables/farm tables. Did you rent these in Flagstaff? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
