I happen to be a die-hard fan of poufy veils. Long, short, pink – doesn’t matter. I love them all the same. So I literally began drooling when this San Antonio wedding crossed my path as it involves quite an assortment of frothy head gear.
Melissa and Patrick, the adorable couple, wanted to create an evening garden party topped off with lots and lots of dancing and festivities. I think they hit the nail on its pretty, pretty head, don’t you? Anne Marie was the woman behind the lens and the result is magical to say the least.

A bit about the day from the bride:
The concept for our wedding was a vintage inspired evening garden party. My grandmother, Anne Slevin, and my mom are the upmost women I know. I looked at pictures from my mom’s wedding and wanted ours to have a similar feeling. I remember my grandmother as soft and pastel, and very 50’s and wanted to incorporate this into the day as well. My grandparents loved dancing and would go once a week in their younger years. They are no longer with us so I wanted to celebrate them at our wedding….Dancing and fun! My parents drove off in a station wagon that my dad’s parents had given them the night of their wedding. About five months before the wedding my parents were driving back to Fort Worth and my dad saw the Woody Wagoneer on the side of the road and bought it for our wedding gift.

Thanks for this, Erin! What a gorgeous wedding! That pouffy veil ROCKS! Also, I love the typewriter guest book idea (which has been done a lot, but I never get tired of it). The first birthday gift my fiance ever gave me was a vintage typewriter. I still have it, of course, but it is not in working condition. Does anybody know how to repair one? Or does anybody have any tips for finding someone who can repair/restore one? Thanks everybody!
Love the soft femininity and retro touches. Truly beautiful wedding!
Absolutely dreamy. The details are so beautiful and well thought out - and I love the cake!
What a fantastic feature for a Monday morning!
Each time I see it I'm an even bigger fan of the dove gray bridesmaid dress, oh swoon! And the lanterns on the ladders, what a stunning touch! Any tips on where to pick up the flower girl sweaters? They're adorable!
Great wedding Erin!! Muah.
What a different looking wedding cake! Nice! The reception hall is also beautiful.

Hi, my name is Kevin. I’m 24 years old and I am planning to ask my girlfriend to marry me. The only problem is I work at a tire shop making 8 dollars an hour and I don’t have any savings to spend on a ring. Instead of buying a hundred dollar ring I’m hoping that a thousand people will read this and each send a dollar.
Oh and if your curious as to how I’m going to pop the question, I’m planning on asking her at a Houston Rockets basketball game while we’re on that big screen above the court. So please I’m counting on YOU! Send a dollar to:

P.S. I’m writing personal hand written thank you letters to everybody who contributes. Thank you in advance for your kindness and help.
Also please don’t overlook this. I need EVERYBODY who reads this to send just a dollar. And it’s no big deal. Its only a dollar, this will truly change my life.
I love the white flowers with the pink accents. Very unexpected and so pretty. Also LOVE the teapots and other vases and china holding the flowers. awesome wedding!
Does anyone know whether the flower girls' sequin sweaters are also from Crew Cuts? If not, where are they from? Thanks!

Those pink flowers almost look too good to be true!! So beautiful!!!!
Please, oh please tell me where the bride got her shoes! I'm looking for some really cute flats as I am taller than my groom and the gold would match everything perfectly. :) Thank you!
