We have a totally awesome day for you on the Little Black Book Blog, thanks to the amazing talents of Stacy Reeves! She may call the Fort Worth-Dallas area home, but as you’ll see ~ as Abby & Zach’s photographer … she and her camera are totally international. It’s a GREAT story. So grab a cup o’ your fave and be prepared!
Abby and Zach were married at Piazza In The Village. This chapel is totally amazing!
Don’t forget, you can see the entire photo gallery from this post in the SMP photo gallery.
Zach is a VP for a line of gorgeous men’s attire ~ D Jones Tailored Collection. So in addition to some pretty snazzy guys, some fantastic maids, Abby’s love of purple and the ever-popular peacock feathers, the palette was borne!
If you’ll take a look throughout this post, you’ll see that Abby opted for several looks! She found a super-cute bolero on from Bonzie Designs on Etsy to wear for their first look before the ceremony, donned a birdcage veil for the ceremony, removed it to reveal the gorgeous silk flower in her hair, and then changed it up a bit during the reception! Gone are the days of hair up vs. hair down!
And her gown? Great story! She found it online at a resale site, flew to California to try it on and voilá!
After a stunning reception they departed for their honeymoon!

And this is where the Stacy Reeves story gets even better. Abby and Zach asked Stacy to accompany them for a ‘day-after-shoot’. Not just any day-after-shoot, though … they asked her to accompany them on their honeymoon to Europe.
We wandered around the Louvre, the Tuileries Palace, the Champ de Mars, and finally finished up our photo spree at the Eiffel Tower.

Wow?!?!?!?!
… more from Stacy …
There’s an Italian tradition where lovers write their initials on locks, lock them to bridges or fences in their city, and toss the keys into the river. Abby and Zach had given heart-shaped locks to their wedding guests as souvenirs. They also brought their own locks with them to each city they visited on their honeymoon. They tossed their keys into the canal in Venice.

Pretty darned romantic. Lots more photos from this fantastic European-day-after-shoot on Stacy’s site {here}!!
However ……… the story doesn’t even end here.
Abby and Zach were in cahoots with Stacy’s boyfriend. The night they were shooting at the Eiffel tower … he had a little something up his sleeve …

ohhhhhhh! soooooooo perfect!

What’s a better way to say Congratulations???? Yay!!!!!!

Does anyone know which store the bolero came from? :) It's gorgeous!
I love the colors!
Abby's bolero was purchased from bonzie on Etsy
How amazing! Two fabulous love stories in one. It makes me all warm and fuzzy! We're honeymooning in Italy - I wonder if I could find a local photog to do a honeymoon shoot? I love the idea.
Wow! Love this...thanks so much for sharing! Amazing work.
wow!! great images and what a super cute cute proposal story!! thank you so much for sharing!! congrats abby and zach! but even more so to stacy and and jason!!
What gorgeous pictures and a beautiful story! I saw on the photographers site that this was a morning wedding. I'm also planning a morning wedding and wondered if you or the bride have any tips or advice about this. It seems morning weddings are few and far between so I was so excited to see one feautured and wonder if there might be anythign I can learn from it.
The photography is amazing...especially the shots from the day after session...what a beautiful tradition - the locks and the keys!
Hey Katie - from a photographer's perspective, the one downside was that it was difficult to do photos because it was pretty dark up until about an hour before the ceremony. Also most people didn't really drink due to the early hour, which unfortunately meant not as many people on the dance floor as normal. The couples' slow dances were popular but not as much with the group dancing. However more people stayed until the end of the reception as this wedding than at most weddings I've shot, which was really nice! At Abby's wedding, the Piazza served a delicious egg quiche and had fruits and juices, which was delicious but not too heavy for the early hour. Abby's ceremony started at 9 AM and the reception ended around 1 PM.
so adorable!!! this is also my wedding color, purple and green :) just wonderin' where did the bride got her gorgeous peacock headpiece?
OMG, that was seriously an amazing story!!! I totally was not expecting the proposal at the end... I was just thinking how fabulous it was that they had a HONEYMOON shoot. Amazing! And that picture in front of the Eiffel Tower... that has GOT to best my favorite picture. Ever. (I got engaged under the Eiffel Tower, so I am very fond of it! :)
Love the colours! But I'm biased... purple and green were my wedding colours too. ;) And perhaps I'm just partial to Europe, but I think the post-wedding shots in Paris and Venice are better than the wedding! Maybe because bride & groom look so relaxed? Or that it's two of the most romantic cities in the world, maybe!
I am beyond honored that y'all chose to feature us on your blog! Thank you allfor your sweet words!
@nina r. I got my fascinator from etsy-- viemoderne. Actually, all of my bridesmaids wore the same fascinator I have because I loved it so much I wanted to share! My MOH wore an all peacock feather fascinator, also from viemoderne.
Fabulous work. Cant tell you how beautiful your wedding looks. Stacy & Abby you have just made me even more excited. My colors are the same also and I tried on what seems to be the same wedding dress this past week. Is it an anjolique couture?
Thanks so much for sharing!
@vernc66 Thank you! It's an Anjolique 930. They aren't too common in stores these days because it's not a new design, but they can still be found new! I loooooved it. Hope you love yours!
Hi !
I admire the pictures as well as the theme deco. Could someone please tell me more about the Kissing balls ( 1st picture - hanging in the tree branches ) ? Were they homemade ? If so I 'd be interested to know more about their actual size and where I could get the flowers that were attached to the balls?
Thanks for sharing your experience thru these pictures.
A huge congrats to Abby and Zach on a magical wedding journey. Stacey's work on capturing the events are incredible and what a lovely story of the adventure by all in Paris. Congrats to both happy couples. :)

@Sylvie, sorry, I don't have any more information about the kissing balls on the manzanita trees in the 1st photo. Ed at Signature Productions came up with those to add to the trees, they were a nice surprise. :-)
