I am constantly falling head over heels for anything shiny and happy and this wedding is no exception. Not only is it oozing with charm and DIY goodness but every single person looks like they are having the time of their lives.
Chelsea and Greg were married at The Tiber Canyon Olive Ranch, a gorgeous olive farm nestled atop a hill in the Central Coast Wine Country. It was truly a labor of love filled to the brim with vintage details and hand crafted style. This lovely day was captured by the equally lovely Chloe Murdoch of Mike Larson photography and man oh man did she bring it. The shoe pics alone are of immense drool worthy proportions. Oh and we have lots more images tucked into our galleries right here.

Chelsea and Greg knew they wanted the day to reflect their casual, warm personalities so they decided to throw a summer party complete with bright colors and vintage detailing. The wedding was all about friends and family and everyone pitched in to make it happen.
Throughout the year, Chelsea and her mother and sister scoured thrift stores, flea markets and antique stores for decor details including vintage plates, old tea tins to hold flowers, doilies for table runners and birdcages. Chelsea enjoyed the hunt for vintage treasures so much that she began to sell her finds on her Etsy shop, Yellow Magnolia. The flowers were ordered from Costco and Fifty Flowers, and were assembled by family friends the day of the event. Each tablescape was different and included an assortment of flowers, tins, birds and nests.
Paper flowers and birds hung from the oak trees that scattered the property as well as birdcages filled with nests. The seating cards were placed on a vintage door with crackling yellow and blue paint.
Chelsea’s sister, Lauren, the designer behind Lo Boheme, designed on of a kind hair pieces for he bride, bridesmaids and flower girl, as well as custom shoe clips using feathers, vintage costume jewelry and veiling from the 1940′s. Lauren also crafted a large chandelier made from raw silk flowers to be hung as the focal point in the dining area. Chelsea’s mother Jane, the master mind behind Tux and Tulle, crafted the groomsmen and ring bearers’ neck and bow ties as well as the ring bearer pillow.

The fun is just jumping off the page!!! How perfect is that? I love the colors... the cake... the candid camering!!! So inspiring!
Chloe did such a great job on these photos! She really captued the characters and feelings of this wedding well. And I am such a HUGE fan of Mike Larson Photography--they photographed my brother's wedding (and all of his friends' weddings as well!) and the photos are absolutely breathtaking. Chelsea and Greg made an EXCELLENT decision--these pictures are really worth a thousand words! Congrats!!
Where did the bride find these wonderful shoes???
I LOVE Chloe! She is just fabulous and I got to know her when she photographed my wedding in 2008. She always does such an amazing job and I think she really has a way with putting the bride and groom at ease in front of the camera so what you end up with are naturally wonderful snapshots of the perfect day. Congrats on the feature, Chloe!
Stunning! Love how the colours just pop and all the little attention to details. That chandelier is something! The Bride, just a completely natural beauty...LOVE the whole vibe of this wedding :)
One of my new fav wedings here!!
absolutely gorgeous! i love the hairpieces and the bridesmaids are all gorgeous!
I love the jewelry, her bracelet and the bridesmaid's necklace, anyone know where I can find them??
LOVE LOVE LOVE the paper birds...is there a pattern out there...or somewhere I can get them????!!??
This is such a charming wedding. Not to mention all the DIY which of course I heart :O) Bravo with the hair pieces and shoe clips, so stunning!
So pretty! One of my new favs, too.
We just adore MIke Larson and his team!! Gorgeous photos!
I absoulutely love following your site on Facebook. I'm not getting married anytime soon but I've always loved shower and event planning. I'm wondering ifl, for some of your posts, you could include the number of people and number of tables at the various events. It would help us understand how "doable" some of the DIY details are. For example, in the above wedding, did they need thirty antique placettings, or 300? It would be really helpful also to know how many people each venue holds. Thanks!
oooh man, my dream cake!
Where did the bridesmaid find all of their different shoes? i love the color and the different styles and would love that for my bridesmaids. Beautiful Wedding!
Abby and Erin, you ladies rock! My sister's wedding was a true labor of love, thank you so much for showcasing it on your beautiful site! Below are some of the answers to the above questions:
Shoes: Chelsea's shoes are actually from Payless Shoe Source! We then added some of my custom shoe clips to them for color and texture.
Jewelry: The brides bracelet is vintage from the 1950's, its actually from the Anheiser Busch estate, found at the Santa Monica Vintage Fashion Expo, the most fabulous place for vintage finds! My jewelry (the girl in the gray dress) is also vintage Italian Art glass and thermal plastic, from some of my favorite vendors at the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena, Ca.
Paper Birds: My mother found a bird silhouette online and used it as a pattern and then sewed them together
Number of People: There were about 180 people at the wedding, so finding all of the vintage place settings did take time, but the money spent was equivalent to renting china, a lot more fun and unique, and a great favor for guests to take home at the end of the night if they pleased.
I would also love to know where the bride's shoes are from. I am looking for shoes like this!!
Ooops - see the shoe credit. Never mind. Thanks Lauren!
Fabulous wedding! Anyone know who makes the fantastic t-strap heels in one of the pictures? They'd be perfect with my short 50's style wedding dress!
are those vintage vendors available online, I live in NC :(
The fabulous Donna of Donnaland does sell on ebay, although there are limited things in her shop. Her facebook page is here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/DONNALAND-VINTAGE-VARIETY/75430056076?ref=ts she travels the country with her goods so you might try there to see if she's going to be in you neck of the woods. You might also try any swapmeets of flea markets in your area, or etsy is a great online spot of vintage jewelry!
Heather-I think the shoes are max studio, but I'm not positive
I love all the details, but you know what I love most? The yellow. The fact that they went with yellow -- tons of it, everywhere, all different shades. I've been to many weddings, and I've only seen yellow used once...as an accent for black. (Meh.) Yellow is such a great color (especially for a fun outdoor wedding like this one!) but people seem to be afraid of it. They really shouldn't be.
Does anyone know where I can find the parasols that are featured in this wedding?
Stunning! Stunning Stunning! Hands down, my favorite wedding cake to date (besides mine)!
The shoe clips (what a fabulous idea)! The cake! The dancing! The birds! Oh this is such a gorgeous, happy wedding. I LOVE it :)
So pretty!! photos, location, dress and the shoes!!
i love how cheerful this color palette is. the brightness of the yellow just makes me want to smile.
Gorgeous photos and a beautifully done DIY wedding! I love the yellow JCrew dresses. So classy!
Jane will be making our groomsmen ties this spring for our summer wedding! I'm so happy I get to see all of the details of her daughter's wedding! What a gorgeous event!!
So perfect with all the yellow touches! Love it all and the bridesmaids rocked it with their dresses and hair accessories!
gorgeous, so happy and fun. The colours just make you smile!
Are the bridesmaid dresses from J Crew in light chartreuse? If so, I just ordered that same color for my girls .
I was unsure how how everything would tie together, and happened to run across this post and now I am really excited. Thank you for sharing!
Shaina - Yes the dresses are light chartreuse! It's such a fun color, enjoy!
The paper parasols are from lunabazaar.com - affordable too!
I Love the lace on he dress, very sophsticated yet casual. Do you know who designed the wedding gown?
Chloe is a very close friend of mine from college, so proud to see her featured! such amazing work and the yellow is so lovely.
Can anyone tell me where the bridesmaids shoes are from? I love the closed toe heels and would love those for my bridesmaids!!!!!!!
OMG! I love this wedding! The shoes are to die for...I would have guesses that they were $500 or something....love the paper birds and the yellow...fabulous.
I really love the style of your wedding- it's so beautiful. I'm looking to do the same idea with the vintage plates- would you be willing to sell or rent the ones you used to me? I live in Santa Cruz, CA, so I could drive to meet you... Thanks! -Kim

I am interested in the mens ties. Does Jane sell those or make those. We have same bridesmaids dresses and love love them.
Hi Kaye - Jane (my mom) sells the mens neckties on Etsy.com. Her seller name is tuxandtulle, or you can email her at tuxandtulle@gmail.com.
Kim - I wish I could give/rent the plates to you but we don't have them, we let the guests take them home from the event, sorry! I have several thrift store ideas, you can email me if your interested. chelsea.hazelhofer@gmail.com - I live in Livermore and there are tons in the Bay Area!
Great post! I loved all the pictures and got some GREAT ideas for my own wedding. Thanks so much, I love your whole blog!
I love the bridesmaids hair pieces and how they are the same as the bride's shoe clips. My wedding was in June and I also chose a hair piece of feathers in the same color with my wedding dress, even thought it is a kind of new trend, or a trend to come, in Greece, where I live.
great choice of color for this wedding. it looks wonderful and love all the DIY pieces too. and if those pictures are from a picture booth- i love that idea for a wedding!
