SMP Welcomes…Our Advertisers!

February 13th. 2010 by Elaine | Filed Under | 8 comments

We’ve had quite a week around Style Me Pretty, beautiful features, talented vendors, glorious giveaways, and exciting new partnerships. We’re on a roll and we want to share the love. So, we’re taking a little time out to welcome our newest advertisers on the scene. But these aren’t just any advertisers! These are fabulous companies (big and small) that we stand behind and we couldn’t be happier to have on board. Welcome to Style Me Pretty!

So, if you read SMP this week, you know that we had a holy-cow moment. A little company called Google knocked on our proverbial door and before you know it, we partnered up with little ol’ Google to help them launch their new Google Docs Wedding Templates.

These templates are classic Google; clean, simple, and smart. They’re super easy to use and even easier to share. We even had some our friends and industry pros chat with Google to make sure that each template had the right info for you to get rolling… they even added tons of tips, everything from the right questions to ask your vendors to factors to consider when inviting guests or choosing music. You can check out all their new planning tools right here.

I am SO excited about next advertiser, the talented, the fabulous, Sarah Seven. We’re big Sarah Seven fans around here. After all, what’s not to love?!? Elegant, feminine silhouettes, flowing ruffles, vintage styling with a modern twist… her gowns are pure heaven.

Sarah Seven 1

Sarah Seven is a true artist and the queen of indie designers. Her dresses are ethereal, beautiful, and totally unique. Made with natural fabrics, such as silk, wool, linens, cotton voile and even recycled vintage fabrics… each piece is decidedly chic and undeniably romantic.

I admit it, I am a TOTAL sucker for gorgeous invitations, so not surprisingly, I’m seriously smitten for the fabulous little stationery boutique Betsy White. I honestly don’t know how they do it, every single invitation is modern, sophisticated and completely charming. But Betsy White isn’t just about gorgeous designs and pretty paper (although the there’s plenty of that to feast your eyes on). They are ALL about offering brides stylish invitations that they can actually afford (all designs are under $500 for 100 invites and response sets).

Betsy White also has the cutest “Love Logos”… stylish wedding monograms that add a personal, elegant touch to all the details of your big day. They’re a great way to pull together the entire event and will make for a truly unique keepsake. Also, make sure to stop by their beautiful blog, Flights of Fancy. We’re regular visitors. In fact, we couldn’t resist sharing some of their Valentine’s inspiration right here on Style Me Pretty earlier this week.

Our next advertising all-star is the amazing jewelry company Lella Foster Designs. Earlier this week, Della, the owner of this fabulous boutique, gifted one of our readers $4500 worth of custom jewelry. As if being an über-talented designer and a total sweetheart wasn’t enough, Della also happens to be one of the most generous people we know. We love Lella Foster. The jewelry is divine and they really are a special company with a lot of heart and soul behind their work. You can read more about this amazing little boutique right here.

If you’re looking for beautiful pieces for your wedding, a party, a gift, or a custom design you need to browse through the gorgeous work at Lella Foster. You’re going to love their jewelry and you’ll feel great about supporting such a wonderful business.

  1. I LOVE THIS GOOGLE THING. What a timesaver. Girls, you have to cilck on the video about the Google invites interface to totally GET it. I love this idea. I cut and pasted all 185 names and addresses into a spread sheet that I created so I could address everyone's invites. This is way easier. I love this concept-- you just have to have everyone's email. Most people do now-a-days. I use this same spreadsheet to this day to send out Christmas cards every year.

  5. Google docs for wedding planning?! SOOO helpful and amazing. Can't WAIT to try these out tonight. I'm regularly impressed by you and your blog. Thank you thank you THANK YOU!

  6. Katie says:

While the google doc templates are a wonderful thing, I certainly hope they aren't all as gender biased as the comment on the seating chart -

"Take care to place your family matriarchs and your fiancé’s boss at good real estate in the room. Some things you just can't take back."

Because we all must quit our jobs when we get married, so our bosses don't matter any more. Of course, what else would we do? Sigh.

I think it is good because we all must quit our jobs when we get married, so our bosses don't matter any more. Of course, what else would we do? Sigh.

  8. Heather says:

wow - great idea using google docs. i didn't know you could share those like that.
