A Wedding Giveaway

February 2nd. 2010 by Abby Larson | Filed Under | 44 comments

Yep, you read that right. We are bursting at the seams to announce a wedding giveaway that two insanely generous groups of New England vendors have put together for two (yep, you read that right also…TWO) very deserving couples who are planning a 2011 wedding. This is a BIG deal people and we hope that you’ll help us spread the word!

wedding giveaway

gorgeous arrangement from last year’s wedding giveaway by Jessica’s Country Flowers

The first talented group includes the fabulous Jessica’s Country Flowers, our dear friends Justin & Mary Marantz, the incredible team at Details Wedding & Party Planning and the wonderfully talented Christine at Stonington Paperie, the sweet peeps at Lovely Cake and the always great Beth at The White Dress by the Shore.

The second group of vendors participating in the second wedding will be Jessica’s Country Flowers, the super talented Steve Depino Photography, the awesome event staff at Sixpence For Your Shoe, perfect invitations by Paper Olive, a cake to die for by Toria Dolce Fine Desserts and THE gown by The Plumed Serpent.

* * *

So here’s what the two winning couples will get. An entire wedding to start. That includes invitations, flowers, photography, coordination, cakes, a gown and so much more! Plus the comfort of knowing that you are in the best hands humanly possible to help plan the biggest day ever. It’s really the chance of a lifetime and we feel pretty great about helping the amazing team of vendors announce it.

To enter, you’ll want to go over to Jessica’s Country Flowers and fill out the contact form. In the “additional comments” section, make sure to tell the team all about you (or the friend/family member you are referring) and why you feel like you need this wedding. It’s VERY important to note that the wedding will be a gift to a couple that is in financial hardship and yet is giving back to our world in one way another. Good people who deserve something special. The deadline to enter is July 1st but the sooner you enter, the better as they want to really take their time in choosing the perfect couple.

Justin & Mary, The Plumed Serpent Bridal, Sixpence For Your Shoe and Steve De Pino are members of our Little Black Book. For more information on how members are chosen, click here.

Over the last few years we felt that we had come so far... and we're really grateful to have come so very far, in such little time. This is simply our way of giving back.

We've been fortunate enough to have earned a wonderful reputation in the wedding industry and design some pretty amazing weddings! We felt it was only right to design an over-the-top wedding for someone who is a little less fortunate. It starts your life out on a positive note...and not in debt. Or not having regrets wishing you had a little more money to have the wedding you always dreamed of.

I thought the deadline for this 2011 contest wasn't until July? If you've already narrowed the contest down to 3 couples is there even any chance for anyone else to enter/possibly win?

Oh no! Now I am wondering this also. Is the contest already closed?!

  28. Jessica Robinson
    February 21, 2010 at 8:04 pm

the contest is not closed. We would like to choose a couple soon as to make sure everyone (vendors) has the date available. It takes much time to coordinate such a wonderful event.

Hi there My name is Desiree Gurule. My fiances name is Adrian Montoya. We would love to have our wedding this upcoming year. It is just so hard with him being gone. Due to the fact that he is in the United States Air Force, we have not had anytime to plan. He is currently deployed leaving me with the responsibility of planning the wedding. I would greatly appreciate winning this. Especially because of the fact that we have such big family's it is going to be so hard to plan for so many people. It would mean so much to me and my fiance! please consider us for this wonderful experience! -Desiree and Adrian

We are getting married 09/10/2011... We have been together 4 years already and have one beautiful 2 yr old little boy. We have kind of a low budget for our wedding but, we are already seeing that is cost a little more then expected, I am also already overwhelmed with people trying to help and do the whole thing themselves. I would rather get someone who knows what they are doing and let them do it all :) But, that cost lots of money I need this PLEASE!!!! Thank you! We have about 150 guests so far

My fiance and I were engaged this past february after four years of dating. Our goal was to have our wedding on 04/30/2011. I am a single Mum and on a very tight budget and cannot expect my fiance to pay for everything himself.I am believing God for a dream wedding giveaway so decided to do a search. We have alot of people flying in from Canada, Africa and London and so need to pull it off somehow.

Wow! This is an amazing giveaway! My fiance and I have been dating just about 4 years. Our first date/first kiss/first long embrace/first holding of hands....all of it was with eachother and we are SO blessed with that! God ultimately taught us how to love one another. After dating two years and spending so much time together I decided to go away to school. Granted, school is only about an hour and a half away but the time apart is very hard on the both of us. Just at the beginning of the year we started seriously talking about marriage and what a big role that was. He had been laid off so we knew it couldn't be anytime soon but we kept praying for God to move and open doors for us. After the summer I had to say "good-bye" to him and to another school year and it broke our hearts trying to work all summer to save up for us and then spend it all on bills and school and life. So I reached a point where I thought it would be years until we got engaged and I grew to be okay with that because I knew it would be in God's time. However, on Nov. 5 he suprised me and ended up asking me and telling me that everything would be ok and he couldn't wait to prepare for our marriage. A wedding has always been our dream...relatively small and simple. Our parents have had a big turn in their finances. We want to be fair with inviting all of the people who mean so much to us but the money isn't allowing it. As we are striving to save life keeps getting in the way. We are much more concerned about the marriage than the wedding but it would still be nice to have that one dream that a little girl always has to come true.
