Isn’t it wonderful to show a warm, breezy beach wedding in the middle of January? Oh how I long for anything but the slushy, gray, snowy roads that grace my morning drives. There is something just so delightful about this wedding. Each intimate detail, each warm color, that amazing cake! My biased favorite would have to be the letterpress printed four page program that doubled as a fan for warm guests. Yet I think my favorite part is how the wedding is such a genuine reflection of how warm Stephanie and Ken are as people. Bright and happy surrounded by elegance. Yeah, that is this wedding.

So to wrap it up, I’m Andrea, the Creative Director for Gwyneth Paige {Couture Letterpress} and the current coolest part of my repertoire is that Abby asked me to be a guest blogger! I am pretty sure I screamed like a twelve year old girl for half a day when I got Abby’s email saying that she would like me to help blog. Thank you so much Abby for this opportunity. Here’s hoping I continue to fill your readers with weddings that are sweeter than strawberries in June.

Did anyone think about how you get the messages out of the bottle? I hope they like their notes with extra broken glass.
I thought the same thing! Perhaps it's one of those time capsule things? Leave it on the mantle until a meaningful anniversary or something? I would love to do this, I just need a good idea on how to get those suckers out!
I love this wedding! The red and white linens are my favorite:)
Does anyone know where in Michigan this wedding took place? It's a gorgeous location.
Where did the groom get the orange tie? I love it. I'm looking for one.
Wowzas! That tent is amazing!
Hi Emily! The wedding was on Lake Michigan's shore. It looks so peaceful doesn't it? Almost like a dream.
This is the ultimate wedding. Love the colors and the decor of the tent.
Beautiful- so in love with the red & white tent liners!
Does anybody know where the flower girl's dress came from? I'm looking for something lightweight and simple like that.
How do you create the fans? Where did they get printed?
Kelly -- I'm checking for you on the flower girl dresses. They are so simple and so soft. I really adore them! I'll let you know as soon as I do!
Emily -- The fans are letterpress printed and them die cut with a custom made die. The four pages were grommeted together so they could fan out. My letterpress company, Gwyneth Paige, printed them. :)
You could easily DIY those fans if letterpress isn't in your budget. A template, printed programs on at least 32# paper, an exacto-knife and a stead hand could get you the fan pieces, and you can do the grommets at home. I had wedding CDs as our favors (I swear this was fresh and exciting in 2005!); I hand grommeted the spines of the CD books so I could run ribbon through.
Good luck Emily! :)
The cake looks so delicious! And the fabric treatment in the tent...GORGEOUS!
Jiuen, it took a little while but that awesome orange tie is Ralph Lauren from Bloomindale's!
Kelly, the flower girls dresses are called the Stasburg dress - style A722. You can go to strasburg children website to find them and they were wonderfully priced around $27/each. The beautiful red sashes are chiffon and were tailor-made in Florida. :)
How cute! The girls went barefoot.
love the modern texture of the buttercream icing on the cake!
Emily, the wedding took place just outside of Grand Haven, MI. There are a few small public and private beaches around there that can be rented for weddings. From the pictures it looks like it might even be the same beach one of my friends was married on this past summer.
Wow this is absolutely amazing...jaw dropping and romantic.
