I have been dying to get this wedding out the door. You guys know that my love affair with all things Jose Villa is pretty huge. But at this point, I would only be able to categorize it as an obsession. And this wedding that Jose shot is total insanity. It takes everything that I love…vintage chandeliers, garden roses, organic detailing, French inspired elegance…and smashes it all together in a total piece of wedding heaven. And since I am kind of a blubbering idiot over this affair, I think that we should just jump right into the photographs that Jose shot. They tell the story to perfection.

Brandy Cabral of Bliss Event Production has been sweet enough to share a few details…
Michelle and Steven were engaged in France so naturally they wanted to infuse a lot of French inspiration into their wedding. The location was the spectacular Beaulieu Gardens in Rutherford, CA. Originally owned and created by George de la Tour founder of BV Wines and Winery, he was from France and created a multi acre property to reflect the gardens and architecture reminiscent of his homeland. The rose garden by the ceremony location was his wife’s contribution and is stunning. She collected different varieties and snippets from gardens all over the country and world and planted them in her garden. Michelle and Steven loved the property for the French feel and used the rose garden as an inspiration for the floral decor. Michelle wanted a loose and organic feel to the floral design and Kate from Flowerwild Floral was able to implement the style for her.
And Kate of the amazing, Flowerwild, on the flowers…
Beaulieu Gardens is undoubtedly one of the most romantic and naturally beautiful settings I have visited in my career as a designer. When I asked Michelle how she and Steve chose it from all the other gorgeous venues in Napa Valley, I remember her saying “we just had a feeling, like – okay, THIS is it – THIS is magical.” She wanted a bouquet that was free and wild, but still maintained a beautiful shape. So we added in some wild hebe and coral passion vine to create the triangulated shape. It had the most amazing fragrance and when paired with her amazing gown and smile….heaven! What a stunning bride…

HOLY MOLY, Jose. These are stunning. I love the color combinations. Everything looks so clean, pure, and the colors are perfect! Awe.Some.
So gorgeous! Love these details.
So pretty! Who is the dress by?
The gorgeous dress is by Priscilla of Boston. My daughter tried it on while bridal dress shopping last fall. It's absolutely beautiful! Also love the flowers for this wedding...what a creative floral designer.
Hi Everyone! It's Michelle...the bride. Thank you so much for all your kind words! Nice to know that a year of planning might have paid off ;). So it looks like Jose spilled the beans on the shoes...they are indeed Valentino. As for the bracelet (and matching earrings), it is Elizabeth Cole. I think it may still be available online.
Hi Michelle- beautiful wedding! We are looking for ties in that exact shade of blue without having much luck. Could you please let me know where you found them? Thanks so much!
Hi Cristina!
Absolutely. We got all the ties (hubbie's striped one which matched the blue of the groomsmen and the groomsmen solid ones) from Hugo Boss. They only had 1 left in NYC b/c they were amazingly 50% off. But honestly, since it was the perfect shade of blue I was willing to pay anything...ha! Anyway, they were able to find 3 more in Florida and shipped them to us. You can try to ask them to source it for you somewhere in the country. Hope that helps! Best of luck!
Thanks so much! I will try to track them down. Who knew such a pretty color blue would be so hard to find!
Hi Michelle. I absolutely love your hair and would like to do something similar for my wedding in July. Do you have a picture of the back you could send my way? Alicia.Jabbar@gmail.com. Thanks!
Hi Alicia!
I will sift through the photos and see if I can find images that show different angles. Will send them over when I locate them. :) If you are interested, Sherrie Long in Napa/Sonoma/Bay Area styled it.
Thanks Michelle. Unfortunately, I am getting married in Colorado so a Bay Area stylist is not likely. Thanks for looking. I appreciate anything you can find.
Michelle, CONGRATULATIONS! I am so happy for you and Steven. What an amazing wedding, you look absolutely stunning! Great pictures by Jose Villa and Thank you to Style Me Pretty for featuring this wedding so we can get a small glimpse into this very special day. Again Congrats, Isela
OMG! Hi Isela! I haven't seen/talked to you in ages! I hope you are doing well. Thank you for the well-wishes! I take it you are engaged? So congratulations actually goes to YOU! :) So happy for you!
I want to know where I can find umbrellas like those in the picture. I love them so much... Thank you.
Thanks Mich, I am engaged. I was hoping I could hire you as my Wedding Coordinator ;-)
You did such a good job I think you should switch careers. Don't be surprised if I steal some of your ideas. Starting with your color scheme, I just love how all the colors work together.
Hi Saioa,
Our wedding planner had suggested www.asianideas.com, but my cousin actually got the parasols from downtown L.A. b/c they were cheaper (appx. $2-3/piece). Hope that helps!
I love your Valentino shoes! I've been looking around for some great metallic ones for my wedding in November too..I only found Jimmy Choos Glitter Clue that I liked so far. But, I can't find your Valentinos online anywhere. Are the Valentinos from previous seasons?
Which store did you find them at? Thank you!
Hi Wendy,
Thanks! I got the shoes last year at this website: http://www.tenderbirmingham.com/ . Pretty sure they are not available anymore b/c they were on sale after the holidays for 70% off. Having said that, I did see a pair that were super similar (not closed on one side like mine, just pure peep-toe dorsay) at the Valentino store in Beverly Hills for full price. So they may have a version of them still available. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
Thank you Michelle for the info. I live in Barcelona (Spain) so it's a little difficult to me to go to LA :P But thanks for the link, it is just what I want. :D
