If you’ve been following us on the Little Black Book Blog for any length of time, you know how we love to show-off our vendors’ own weddings. And that’s just what we get to do today! From Lucie’s Events (a.k.a. “the bride” ~ Wendee) … her own pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty wedding at Vista West Ranch!
But, before we get into all the details, I want to thank Traci at Anne Marie Photography for her patience with me and my requests for more and more and more images! I’m a born-in-the-blood lover of colored antique glassware (thanks to my dear Great-Aunt Gertrude!) … and as you’ll see in just a bit, the glassware and dinnerware plus the colorful lanterns and lovely florals just hit a soft spot in my heart!
From the bride, Wendee … I am a wedding & event planner (LBB member) and also a new bride! It was SO difficult being on the other side of wedding planning. Coming up with my own vision was really difficult! I basically just left it up to my vendors to create something fabulous. I trusted their creativity and they ran with it! In fact, I only picked out my wedding flowers the Monday before the wedding!
I had all the bridesmaids choose a gold tone dress and most of the groomsmen already owned tuxes. I am so thankful for everyone who was involved with the wedding! It was a truly amazing experience.

[...] Outside is a fire pit and rows of little bistro tables where your guests can have a quieter moment to chat with each other and enjoy the beauty of the hill country. Hammocks and adirondack chairs are set out throughout the grounds. There’s also a fantastic biergarten for pre or post ceremony cocktails and mingling. Hidden on the property is also a honeymoon cottage. Perfect for the bride and groom who want to extend their time at the venue as much as possible (and not have to spend too much time in a car at the end of the night). As you can tell, I’m quite smitten with this place. The peaceful country vibe made me want to stay and hang out with Cindy for awhile. Maybe lounge in a hammock or sip some lemonade in one of the adirondack chairs…. If my description has you wondering when you can get yourself out to see this amazing venue, I have good news. First, Vista West Ranch is hosting an open house this Sunday from 3 until 7. And, we are happy to announce we will be having TWO Weddings Unveiled shows at Vista West Ranch. The first will be on August 22 and the next will be on April 17, 2011 (yes, we’re planning that far ahead!). Mark your calendars!
