So let’s recap: a killer DIY wedding with all the warm, personalized comforts of home. Sweet, in-between-the-moments photography by the amazing Tec Petaja and playful equestrian, forest touches to boot. And for the record, I want to dye my hair EXACTLY the color of this bride’s hair!
I just can’t get enough of these photos…

More from Alicia, the bride:
The thing that still makes me catch my breath when I think back on the day, were the songs that were performed during our ceremony. My grandmother sang Ave Maria which was unbelievably special. My grandmother was the singing voice for Natalie Wood in West Side Story, Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady, Deborah Kerr in The King and I, and she was in The Sound of Music. Today, she does Broadway. Having her sing for us and our guests was something I’ll never forget. My aunt also performed a song for us (Patty Griffin’s Heavenly Day) and it brought my husband to tears during our ceremony.
I was never the little girl who pictured her wedding. No matter that I never had fantasies of the “fairy tale,” we were floating on a cloud of bliss the whole time. Our wedding was emotional. That’s the best word to describe it. Of the 145 we invited, 60 people came (it was a destination wedding) which made it so intimate–the people who wanted to be there with us to celebrate made the trip and it meant the world to us. From the start, I looked forward to our reception but, to be honest, the ceremony was my favorite part. It was such an intense experience; We didn’t have a rehearsal which made it feel very organic and sacred. Later in the night (after a few margaritas, of course), I remember looking into my brother’s video camera and saying, “Now I understand why people call this the happiest day of their life.”

Thank you so much for posting this, Chantale--so charming!
WOW! Marnie Nixon is your grandmother! I also love Patty Griffin, and will be using that song as well. Great musical taste!
Michelle - I still drool over these photos myself! And I'm not joking about the hair!
Welcome to the SMP family Chantale--great job on today's post, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this wedding!!

It's a stunning wedding. And yeah, I want that hair color, too!
I love this wedding! So lovely and authentic :)
Ohhhh Mrs. Cowboy boots I LOVE LOVE your wedding details! Hope you are going to share that video clip on the Bee!
I am in love with the hair! Any chance there's a close-up picture of the hair style from the back? Although I can't mimic the beautiful ginger shade, I'd love to have my hair styled just like that for my wedding!
Hi Cait. Yup I got one. Email me at labellebride@gmail.com
Wonderful to see Ali's wedding here! It was such a joy to work with them on their save the date and wedding invitation suite. They had such a vision for their day and it is absolutely gorgeous!
Such a beautiful wedding and I was honored to be a part of it!
Tec is doing my wedding in September - beyond excited! I have always loved this wedding and it's so appropriate as a feature! Thanks Chantale!
Also, Tec's wedding photography site is is now separate from his other work:

More pictures there too!
Ohh..love this wedding. I remember seeing it on Green Wedding Shoes and Tec's Blog awhile back. Looking forward to Chantale's posts! Love your color palette also :)
Um, those cotton bags with the horse graphic? LOVE. This whole wedding is to die for and if mine wasn't in less than 5 months I would totally re-plan everything to be EXACTLY LIKE THIS.
My absolute favorite Bee! Oh Mrs Cowboy Boots, how I heart your wedding! This is the wedding that made me want to scratch my entire plans and start over.
we love you Mrs. Cowboy Boots!!! :)
I love that there was pie at their wedding : ) That would make me SO happy if I were a guest!
Wow, i love this wedding so much i could marry it.
Oh this wedding is like my dream wedding. Would it be wrong to totally steal this entire look? It's just perfect in every way!
Hurray for copper haired brides ;-)
Beautiful wedding, love the hair style, but didn't look good on me... (or my hairdresser wasn't too good, but not a lot of choice in a small village)
I LOVE the welcome bags!! What a great idea! Any recommendations on where to get that beautiful "LOVE" stencil or one similar?
Hi Brittany. I got the Love stamp at Hobby Lobby. It's highly likely they still have it.
I am very excited to see how much attention this wedding has created. It was a great event and we at Teacup are very happy to have worked with Ali.
Thank you Ali for making our pies part of your happy day!
MARNI NIXON is your grandmother!!! Her voice is like a dream, I can certainly understand why that was the most special part of your wedding. I would walk around my house since as long as I can remember signing her songs from West Side Story and My Fair Lady. Mrs. Cowboy Boots, I thought your wedding was perfection before, but this is beyond!
This wedding is probably one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen! Alicia, would you be interested in selling a few of your Pottery Barn placecard holders?? If so, please let me know!! Thanks!
I love the graphic of the horse/border that was on the tables. I am working on a wedding on a horse farm. How did you come by this? Where can I get it? Would be very interested in learning more. Thanks!
Hi Kristen: We aren't selling the Pottery Barn placecard holders, but thanks for asking!
Hello Sally: The table cards were done by Seasonal Delights on Etsy.com. She's a stationary seller who created those for us! Thanks for the kind words.
Where did you get the table name holders on the wooden base? They are adorable and just what we are looking for.
Thanks!
Hi Terry,
The table name holders are from Pottery Barn. Unfortunately, they sold out of them really quickly! My mom is hanging on to them for my brother's wedding next year.
I was wondering if the flower belt was a part of her dress or if she bought it separately? If she bought it separately, where did she find such a beauty?
The bride wouldn't happen to still have that sash would she? I cannot find it anywhere, it looks at though it's sold out but it is just too perfect. Help!
Hi Katie. I wish I could help you. Unfortunately, I actually sold my wedding dress and the sash went right along with it. It was beautiful. Sorry I can't be of more help.
I do not even understand how I finished up here, but I assumed this post was once great. I don't know who you're however certainly you're going to a famous blogger for those who aren't already ;) Cheers!
