You’re engaged! Whoo Hoooo! You’ve sooooo many plans to get going on … sooooo many ideas. Lots of time! Not enough time? Where on earth do you start? Well, I suppose defining the “who what when & where” is uppermost on your list. But you DO know what they say about wedding invitations, right?
Your wedding paper suite will tangibly document the beginning, the middle and the culmination of your once-in-a-lifetime day. It’s really tempting to let the world know asap (announcements, save-the-dates, etc.), but might we urge you to get with a stationer first? It’s honestly incredible what design ideas are out there and how your wedding inspiration can be tied into the overall picture from the get-go.
Case in point … the ideas that Tifany at Gourmet Invitations has will blow you away! Yesterday, we featured Elizabeth and Andy’s Las Vegas … Un-Vegas-Styled Wedding sent to us by Tracey, another of our LBB members who is Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge. The inspiration behind Elizabeth & Andy’s entire paper suite began with the table linen design! They ended up carrying it throughout the whole design of the wedding. It REALLY worked!

The more you get into the invitation and wedding paper search, you may find that you are one of those brides that falls in love with paper! There are so many cool things you can do at your wedding. One of the things that we’ve enjoyed featuring in past posts {here} are Gourmet Invitations’ gorgeous Seating Charts. Here’s Elizabeth and Andy’s:

You can see more of Tifany’s Seating Chart Gallery on her website: Seating Charts From Gourmet Invitations
And just quickly, a little bit more from Elizabeth and Andy’s paper suite …

Once you get onto Tifany’s newly designed website (or blog) … it’s super hard to tear yourself away. Here are some incredible invitations from one of her New Year’s Eve Weddings …

… and then the fun, fun, fun pieces from the actual wedding! You can read more of the specifics on Tifany’s blog {Shannon’s New Year’s Eve Wedding} and {Shannon+Steve’s New Year’s Gala Wedding Invitations}

If you’re just getting started in this whole process, take a peak at Tifany’s website. She has some really good invitation information … plus tons of examples and a wide array of styles, formats, ideas, colors … totally worth a visit. Just to get you started!

Asking Tifany from Gourmet Invitations to create my invitation suite and reception stationary was one of the best wedding decisions I made and I HIGHLY recommend her! When I was planning my wedding, I wasn't excited about invitations or stationary at all. I had never seen anything that was memorable and quickly became frustrated looking through books of boring invitations.
Tifany is fantastic to work with and will create beautiful inviations to coordinate with any theme! I cannot say enough good things about her and the experience I had working with her.
Tifany is in the process of creating our invitation suite for our May 2010 wedding. I'm so excited! It's great to see another happy bride!
I am having the toughest time choosing wedding invitations. I just clicked on the Gourmet invitations and can't wait to check them out. What is on the blog is gorgeous.
What a joyful invitation!
I couldn't agree more with getting with a good provider of stationary when selecting your invitations. This is something you definitely don't want to go cheap on. This is a reflection of you and your husband to be.
These are beautiful! My good friend is getting married next July and she'll love this. Thanks so much for posting, can't wait to forward her this post.
Take care!
Christine :-)
More awesomeness from JMC - his work is top notch.
