Celebrating Our Little Black Book Photographers

December 24th. 2009 by Eddye | 8 comments

For most of you, this has probably been a hectic, but hopefully happy week! It’s hard to get everything done and still enjoy the ‘reason for the season’. It’s one of those things that I have to force myself to do. Stop. Breathe. Just enjoy the moments.

And so, from me to all of you … our readers, our Little Black Book members … my wish for you this weekend is to find peace and to celebrate love!

Winter Wedding by Erin Heart’s Court, II

December 23rd. 2009 by Abby Larson | 32 comments

I’ve always said, Winter weddings are by far the most beautiful. Especially if it snows. Something about the all white backdrop, the incredible textures, the warm and cozy styling. There is just something really special about a perfect Winter wedding. And this one, shot by the forever talented Erin Hearts Court…is no exception. It’s simple, it’s romantic, it’s completely stunning.

And with...

December 23rd. 2009 by Abby Larson | 28 comments

For those of you that are stuck at work on the day before, the day before a holiday…I have just the treat for you. Courtney and Erin, two of my very favorite photographers, sent us the most blissful Winter wedding you’ve ever seen. So pretty, in fact, that upon first glance, you might even think it’s fake. But it’s not. The bride and groom are madly in love, the wedding was overflowing with joy, the day...

So. Running a pretty successful wedding blog definitely has its perks. Aside from just being a really cool job (and getting to work in my PJ’s) we also happen to get really great little gifts right around the holidays. It’s actually kind of awesome, although many of them are making me quite fat. In a good way. So, one of those treats that we loved the most were these incredible Chocolate and Caramel Covered Apples that Jessica over at...

Bald Head Island Wedding by Millie Holloman

December 22nd. 2009 by Abby Larson | 5 comments

I am kind of obsessed with Millie Holloman. And all of the genius photographers that she works with. Every time I get one of Millie’s gorgeous weddings in my email box, I get a little giddy. Millie and her team not only have a great sense of what Style Me Pretty is all about, they can each blow me away with their stunning photography. Case in point, the incredible...

Dessert Buffet by Amy Atlas

December 22nd. 2009 by Abby Larson | 12 comments

I kind of think that it’s awesome that we are able to say, “We met Amy Atlas way back when…” Since she first hit the wedding scene, Amy has been kicking butt and taking names and I am so thrilled that we’ve been able to brag about all of her successes along the way. She is all talent, all style and just...

Northern California Wedding, II

December 21st. 2009 by Abby Larson | 8 comments

Olive Route, a letterpress studio in Berkeley, California, crafted all of the paper products for the wedding. From letterpress invitations to hand drawn maps of the grounds, each paper accessory complimented the style of the day to perfection. We heart Olive Route big time at SMP so we weren’t surprised in the slightest to see Olivia’s designs take center stage.

A good dessert buffet will get me every...

Fall Inspired E-Session by Kristin Partin

December 21st. 2009 by Abby Larson | 15 comments

There is just something really awesome about this e-session that Kristin Partin shot…

Tabby and Lee were born on the very same day, in the very same hospital and 21 years later, fell in love and now are getting married October 16, 2010. The couple themed their engagement session on warm colors and some fun apples they found. Kristin, the really...

Purple Wedding by Amber Events

December 21st. 2009 by Abby Larson | 14 comments

So, despite the fact that it is freezing outside and that most of you probably have holiday shopping hangovers, I figured that if you are still religiously checking SMP…you need a little something happy. And this wedding is all about the happy. The perfectly gorgeous purple palette, the effortlessly chic style, the approachable decor, the pretty, pretty flowers. Clearly, I could go on and on. Designed by Amber Gustafson of...
