This week, we thought it would be fun for you too see a few of the weddings that made our hearts flutter over the past year… a few that we just can’t get out of our heads. I loved seeing everyone’s picks and the reasons they loved each wedding so much. Eddye fell hard for this Illinois winery wedding from Jeffrey and Julia Woods for it’s emotional, beautiful photos, but also for the sweet-as-can-be family, Anna, Ryan and baby, Madeline.

From Little Black Book Blog Editor, Eddye…
When Jeffrey and Julia Woods send us a wedding, we know it’s going to be brimming with beauty and emotion! Today is no exception.

Ryan and Anna met in shop class during high school, the rest was destiny …
from Anna …
We met in high school, during shop class! I was the senior girl who wanted to learn something different (or take an easy class…) and Ryan was a junior taking a class with the rest of his buddies. Being the only girl in the class, I got a lot of attention … mainly from Ryan. We dated for a few months, but thought we were better as friends. We remained close friends throughout high school and college, always there for each other, whether with a problem or just for support and encouragement.

I started my own photography studio in the summer of 2004. Ryan was there to support me in my adventure {unforgettable photography by anna}. Our friendship soon blossomed into a serious relationship. On a Monday evening in September 2007, Ryan came home from guitar lessons, woke me up from a nap and asked me to take our dog out. To my great surprise, an engagement ring was attached to the leash! Since my work schedule was booked solid for the following year, we planned for a May 2009 wedding! So many people thought we were crazy for waiting over a year and a half … In December of the same year, we found out we were expecting!!!

On August 4, 2008, I gave birth to our daughter, Madeline. Good thing we planned for a long engagement!!! Crazy how that worked out… Ryan walked Madeline down the aisle the day of our wedding. For us, we know that we not only have a partner for life, but a best friend. I think deep down, even when we were not an “item”, we always saw ourselves together forever!

The picture of Anna in the field is breathtaking!!! Beautiful Wedding!
This is so sweet!!!! I love the photography...especially the last picture...
Do you know where the bridesmaid's dresses are from?
Aww... the picture of her and her dad (?) is sooo sweet. And the last with the baby, lol – too cute! What a creative shot.
I love the color choice. It is almost as beautiful as that baby's face that keeps popping up in the pics! How gorgeous!
Beautiful photographs. That has to be "Daddy" with daughter in that photo--it moved me to tears, and I don't even know them!
hi it's anna, the bride, to answer a few questions...
my dress was a Sottero Midgley (which is another label under Maggie Sottero)...LOVED IT! comfortable, beautiful, and affordable!
and yes, that photo is my dad.
i am an only child and my father and i have been each others best friend since the day i was born. although my father was very happy for me, it was a super hard day for him. the build up to our father daughter dance was emotional and i don't think there was a dry eye in the house when he walked up to me with tears in his eyes and his hands shaking. i still tear up when i think about it or even see the photos.
thanks again jeff and julia for capturing such wonderful images of my day!
and thank you style me pretty for showcasing our day again!
I love the emotion in all of the pictures. And, the baby's face in that last picture is absolutely priceless!
Love & Soul Always, Kay
I love pink so of course I love this wedding! Beautiful.
Who did the bridesmaids dresses??
I like the two shades of pink of the bridesmaid dresses!
our bridesmaid dresses were Jim Hjelms
Stunning! And the baby picture at the end was too much!
I love the picture of the bride dancing with her dad. I literally got teary-eyed -- especially because my dad may be like that when I get married in 3 months! And I also love the baby, but your father made me cry. Congrats. Beautiful wedding. Best wishes!
Such a beautiful day. Everything seemed so perfect for this bride. From her dress, to the floral, to the bridesmaids dress, to little baby Madeline this definitely looks like a day that they will treasure forever. Not to mention that have FANTASTIC pictures to recapture the day!!!
Oh my goodness what an incredibly romantic looking wedding! It looks like something out of a movie! And the pictures of them in the field of flowers...WOW!
Thank you all for the kind words. Julia and I were pretty honored to shot this wonderful wedding. Anna is a photographer herself and a good one. So its always a honor when a fellow photographer has that much faith in us. Wedding was all about relationships and we hope your able to see that through the images.
I LOVEEEEE the last picture with the baby !!!! too cute
I love all the pictures. I would love to do something like they did down the aisle with my new initial. What is their V made out of?
Did the wedding party walk from the sides to the front or did the bridal party walk over the V before the bride.
I would love to replicate that look for my wedding.
Hi Jamie. I think the V is moss then with white pedals (roses?) on it. I may be over simplifying it, but that's what it looks like...
