I kind of think that it’s awesome that we are able to say, “We met Amy Atlas way back when…” Since she first hit the wedding scene, Amy has been kicking butt and taking names and I am so thrilled that we’ve been able to brag about all of her successes along the way. She is all talent, all style and just happens to be one of the sweetest girls around.
So if you aren’t already… now’s the time to get really jealous of her. Amy had the sheer pleasure of designing the holiday table for Gayle King at O Magazine! Of giving the gift of gorgeousness to Oprah’s right hand girl. How freaking cool is that.

Amy went with a fun, totally unexpected color palette of cherry red and lavender and filled the table with whimsical but totally gorgeous details. She used a modern snowflake pattern as her inspiration and brought that element into all of the different pieces. She used a tailored white table cloth but then added texture and pattern by draping red grosgrain ribbon across it. Mel Barlow snapped the pictures….and voila, the most beautiful dessert table EVER.

Some of the super sweet vendors who cooked up the treats…a gorgeous banana-flavored cake from Eat Cake Be Merry, banana-flavored chocolates from Norman Love Confections, and mini cupcakes from Love Street Cakes, Baked by Melissa, and Chikalicious.

Amy is amazing! Don't know how she does it - each concept she does is unique and unlike the ones she's designed in the past. Love the little popcorn boxes and iced cookies and tiered cake. Would've loved to attend that holiday party!
No fair!My mouth is watering...too early in the mornig for all of this!lol....she is amazing!Beautiful!
As beautiful as these are, I find Ms. Atlas' pricing on these extremely ludicrous. I got in touch with her last year regarding a dessert buffet for my wedding (which I ended up making myself and with great success) and was quoted a price of $2000 for 125 people for popcorn and mini cupcakes and a $5000 minimum on creations like the ones above. Are you kidding me?!?!? And she doesn't even make most of these items herself. It's highway robbery but I guess there are a lot of people out there with money to burn...
I always debate whether or not to pull comments that might hurt the vendors feelings, so I just wanted to quickly speak to cass's comment. TOTALLY get that it's a huge cost. And these buffets definitely aren't for everyone. They are geared more at the luxury bride. But if you've ever seen one in person. HOLY COW. They are so gorgeous. Every little detail has been thought of, every little touch is total perfection.
So while many of us can't afford it, it's a little piece of inspiration for our own dessert buffets. Our own color palettes and details, styling ideas and wedding designs. More than anything...it's fun!
This is totally gorgeous. I love the color combo...She is BRILLIANT!
Looks amazing and delicious!
Those are amazing... I love looking at beautiful things - especially those that are wedding related. She does an amazing job and Eat Cake Be Merry is one great cake designer!
