We TOTALLY love it when we are allowed to take part in a couple’s journey from their engagement story through to their wedding story. When we first saw Jen and Matt ~ told you how they met and shared their super-cute San Francisco e*shoot with the Scrabble game and on those classic beach cruisers, we knew we would soon be in for an amazing wedding to share with you!
And so, from the superbly talented Lauri Levenfeld … Jen & Matt’s October wedding celebration at the Holman Ranch!

One short week after his proposal, Matt, Jennifer and her parents drove down to Carmel Valley to check out possible wedding venues. Loving the outdoors, they knew they wanted to exchange vows outside. “The Holman Ranch was the second site we visited and after taking three steps through the gate I knew we had found our site,” recalls Jennifer.
And now … we’re going to just let you ooh and ahhhh over all the details and the beautiful images from ZOOM photography. The flowers were designed by fionna floral and paper goods found at Union Street Papery.

Jen’s beautiful gown is by Liancarlo.

from Lauri …
Set atop a hill and surrounded by vineyards, Matt and Jennifer wanted to take advantage of the numerous settings the property offered. Following the ceremony on the lawn, the guests sipped cocktails and enjoyed a selection of hors d’oeuvres. The entire evening’s menu was designed by the couple and inspired by the rustic Spanish ambiance. In fact, the caterers enjoyed their suggestion for a crab cake topping of piquillo pepper aioli so much they decided to add it as one of their staples. Jennifer and Matt wanted dinner to feel like a joyous, bountiful feast and chose to serve the meal “family style”. Lights were strung across the patio and the guests dined on long wooden tables.
Jen and Matt wanted to feature local wines from the Monterey & Central Coast regions. A family member of Jen’s owns Tantara Winery and supplied luscious, full-bodied Pinot Noir and Syrah varietals from Santa Maria. After dinner, their guests danced the night away to live music in the carriage house and chatted around a wood burning pit. During dancing, guests enjoyed espressos, cappuccinos, and lattes from the mobile coffee cart to go along with the chocolate pot de crèmes and donut holes for dessert ~ the bride and groom’s favorite treats. Guests left the ranch with bags of coffee beans reading, “Matt and Jen, the perfect blend”.

The father of the bride arranged a final surprise to the bride and groom toward the end of the evening. He hired a cherry red vintage truck to whisk the couple off!

Sensational!! Congratulations, Jen & Matt. We’ve really enjoyed your journey!
And Lauri ~ our heartfelt thanks for all the wonderful weddings you send our way!

what a gorgeous wedding! does anyone know the designer and style of her dress?
i also want to know what dress she wore - it is stunning!!
The dress is by Liancarlo. And the bridesmaid's dresses by J. Crew.
Ooo, I LOVE the wooden sign!
yes me too- the sign is awesome, where did you have it made?
I'm not a shoe person, but I NEED those boots. A source?
I'm getting married at this same venue! Beautiful photos, I love the boots! To answer the question about the sign, the Ranch actually makes those for every couple married there.
Stunning!!!
Fabulous job Lauri! It is always a blast working with you. It was so fun seeing Jen and Anita's vision come to life on that day but your pictures allow that to live on forever.
Love this wedding?? Any idea who did the invitations?? Gorgeous!
I meant to say that I love this wedding (!!!!).. no question marks at all
We, Union Street Papery, created the invitations! {We are avid viewers of SMP and love to see if any of our brides show up on here.} Mo Seder, our in-house calligrapher, designed these invitations especially for Jennifer + Matt. It looks like she had an absolutely incredible wedding!
I love the brides' wedding dress and her bridesmaids dresses as well. Plus the table setting is quite magnificent with its elegant table runners and silverware. The photos look amazing too! Great job everyone!!!
What a beautiful day! And what beautiful pictures! Great job Lauri.
So gorgeous- we are getting married at Holman in April. Did someone add the lights to the Rose court?
What a lovely wedding, I could literally feel the warmth of the ranch sun and the smiles beaming in from the photos (and here I am looking at it in the middle of cold December!). Perfectly stylish and chic for the occasion.
Just love Holman Ranch. One of our best local venues. Stunning event.

Sorry for the delayed response. At Holman Ranch, we make the wedding signs for all of our guests. It's our wedding present to the new couple.
I couldn't agree more to April. The vintage car shot is awesome.
I'm not sure who did the rentals at this wedding but I was at another wedding at Holman Ranch and Chic Events did the lighting and rentals and it looks very similar.
