We are nodding our heads in total agreement at all of the comments from yesterday’s From Inspiration to Reality Feature…totally blown away, completely inspired, feeling VERY proud of our Little Black Book members. Well, the fun didn’t end yet. Meg Simone actually caught the whole thing on film and has shared her gorgeous vignette with us today. So that you can re-live the loveliness for just a bit longer.
From Meg Simone…I captured the shoot with 100% natural light from the barn. I knew going into the shoot this would probably be the most elaborate table settings I’ve ever filmed so I wanted to try to make sure I captured the textures and layers of elements in the design, but not overwhelm the senses by making each shot so encompassing that you don’t fully see the beauty in each design element. I tried to use depth of field to bring out elements of each piece and then alternate those close up shots with wide angles so you could see how it related to the overall setting.

I am floored! Truly a group of talented folks. You can really see in this video the comraderie this team had with bringing the inspiration board to life. They did such a superb job! I loved the vintage place settings, the simple glass jars, the bird's nests, the bustled look of the linen on the cake table, and the garland of lights overhead. The barn setting was genius and was the perfect setting to bring this fantasy to life. Thanks for sharing the video! It was a pleasure to watch!
Wow! This team is truly talented. This by far is my favorite , Inspiration from Reality! Are they available for my Hollywood Glam affair? LOL....I love the video and how they explain there concepts for the finished design!
So beautiful Meg, loved seeing you on my favorite site, can't wait till you cover my wedding this summer! (really really can't wait!) Cheers, Elizabeth
...And you shall be known as, "Runs with Roosters." Seriously guys, GREAT effort here. Everyone was definitely firing on all cylinders. Taylor and I were married in a barn complete with bluegrass bands, so this project really strikes a chord with Birch Blaze.
I love the whole rustic theme and I adore the color palette - but I have never understood roosters in design. Maybe it's just a quirk of mine; I just don't find them an appealing bird at all.
