San Ysidro Ranch Wedding by Jessica Claire, II
Okay people. Put down your coffee, stop reading your emails, get nice and comfy. This is BY FAR one of the most gorgeous weddings we’ve ever featured and it really needs your full and total attention. It may seem that Jessica Claire always scores the most amazing weddings but take it from me, luck has absolutely nothing to do with it. Although the photographs certainly speak for themselves, let me just say that Jessica earns every wedding that she books…her style, her perspective, her clean and simply stunning approach to photography is just about as good as it gets.
One of our favorite Little Black Book members, Alexandra Kolendrianos (who is behind weddings like this and this), was the planner behind the big day and together with florist Kate Holt of Flower Wild, completely knocked it out of the park with her dreamy, dreamy design…
San Ysidro Ranch was the perfect intimate setting for Carrie & Jayson! About 16 guests attended to witness their vows in the gardens of the Ranch. Overlooking flowers of this season in bloom and the gorgeous Santa Barbara mountains on a clear, warm, sunny day…they were married. We chose vibrant colors for their wedding to match their personalities (fun, free spirited and vibrant): Magenta, & plum, deep oranges, accents of yellow and all shades in between.
Kate Holt, the fabulous florist, did an incredible job using different textures and colors to bring in even more romance into their special day! We brought in white Shabby chic couches for the cocktail area which were surrounded by crystal chandeliers, a burning fireplace and candles underneath the trees in front of the Wine Cellar. The candy bar in that area was definitely a focal point! All of the guests were greeted into the Wine Cellar for the reception with gifts (the women were given bottles of perfume and the men were given bottles of cologne), and guests dined on a decadent meal served with perfection from the staff at the San Ysidro Ranch. It was a magical day for Carrie & Jayson filled with romance, intimacy and dripping gorgeousness! And of course Jessica Claire captured it all on film in her beautiful way!

thanks abby!! this wedding was such a DREAM to work on. And just because I know people are going to ask, these photos are not actually "film", they were all shot on the 5d. I did shoot a few rolls of film at this wedding, but none of these shots are film.
