Yesterday, Abby featured a Cape Cod wedding with some seriously adorable peacock cake toppers. And on Tuesday, the so-so-so precious wedding from Justin & Mary Marantz with equally impressive touches of peacock-feather accents.
I think I read the other day that peacock-inspired weddings are on the rise for this next season. If Martha Andrews has anything to say about it … it’s going to be fantastic! Take a look at these creations of hers …

Now granted, it would take a pretty exceptional bride to don a headpiece like this … but I can totally see a holiday wedding with these rich rich colors! By the way, the model in this photo shoot is Martha’s daughter, Rachel. She needed a costume and this is what her mom whipped up! And the photographer? Martha’s daughter, Anne. Pretty talented trio!
From one of Martha’s weddings, here’s some more amazing peacock-inspired designs …

Whether you use a touch or go all out, peacock-colors are amazing!
Thanks for sharing ~ ALL of you lovely ladies!!
Martha has a drop-dead gorgeous wedding at the Citizen Hotel on her blog right now … and she created flower purses for the bridesmaids. Amazing.

I really loved how these creations turned out and as proud mom, I have to let you know that Rachel is a cosmetologist/make up artist and did the gorgeous make up!
Thanks Style me Pretty!
Peacock feathers are so beautiful and elegant! It depends on culture but some believe that peacock feathers indoors can be bad luck, because of the evil "eye" at the end of their tail. But other cultures, such as for Sikhs, believe peacock feathers are good luck.
Robin, I noticed the same thing. In Eastern Europe you can't bring peacock feathers home. They are responsible for illness, quarrels, and bad luck. I like the shape and the colors, but my family would never allow me to use peacock feathers on my wedding day. The same is with heather.
Oh I never knew that!
Another local wedding professional and I were just talking about Martha yesterday and about seeing more of her work on SMP. This is a stunning example of her awesome creativity!
I'm LOVING all these peacock weddings!!!!! I'm planning on using peacock feathers in my wedding and I really appreciate all the great ideas from the past few days! Please keep them coming!!!!
The peacock feathers make for an amazing mesh of colors. I like how the colors seem to reflect into the woman's blonde hair.
Peacock feather is also a successful & magnificent wedding theme - with peacock wedding dresses or colorful peacock feather bouquets. It depends on how it's used - Martha did a splendid work here!
Beautiful and whimsical! Love the creativity. I love the rich colors of peacocks feathers and think they transcend every season. Looking forward to more peacock feathers everywhere...
Amazing design, amazing shots. Love the closeup of the bride and her headpiece, and how the peacock feathers sing against the red building. Fantastic!
Here are some peacock feather hairclips.
