From Inspiration to Reality: The Design
Every now and then I am at a loss for words. It happens rarely and is usually brought on by something so pretty that I simply can’t find a way to properly describe just how much I love it. Thus is the case with today’s photo shoot. What I can say is that this shoot is the reason that I love what I do so very much. It’s the reason that I feel so incredibly lucky to work in an industry with people that create, people that inspire. It’s the reason that I walk around with a smile on my face every day.
It’s time to debut our next installment of From Inspiration to Reality. This one headed up by the FABULOUS Millie Holloman and Jennifer from Salt Harbor Designs is basically straight out my imagination’s version of a picture perfect wedding. It’s the wedding that I always wanted, the wedding that my poor husband is going to have to give me whether he likes it or not. Inspired by this inspiration board, this shoot is perfection. And it all starts with this cake…
Yes, the cake. I’m not sure I could ever eat a cake that pretty, but I could certainly buy one! Designed by Nicki’s Cakes it really set the tone for the entire shoot. Simple, tailored, girly. And I am madly, madly in love.
And even the cake had its own inspiration…the dress. Nicki made the cake to match the dress, using anemones from the inspiration board. Millie and Jennifer stumbled across the dress online and approached JoyNoelle, the designer, about using it for the photoshoot. Joy is based in Minneapolis and actually shipped the perfect gown to them just for this shoot!
We have all of the behind the scenes goodness coming up next, with detailed notes from the lovely Millie Holloman and Jennifer of Salt Harbor Designs. It’s a full day of beauty…beauty that is SO doable on any budget. And we are going to make sure that you guys walk away feeling inspired, excited and totally in love.
