There is just something about a traditional, ballroom wedding that is so timelessly beautiful. And yet, they are rarely shown off on the blogs these days. Well, I thought that it was about time we featured a ball room wedding that was ALL style, ALL gorgeousness. Photographed by London based photographer, Polly Alexandre, this wedding is pure luxury. Oh and the bride behind the affair just might be the most drop dead gorgeous bride I’ve ever seen.

The wedding was held at Hylands Hall in Essex, UK. The ridiculously lovely bride wore a Stuart Parvin gown (The Way We Were) and shoes by Emmy, along with a necklace by Stephanie Browne that just might be the most amazing accessory EVER. The bridesmaids wore bespokie gowns by Naomi Neoh. It’s funny…even though the style behind this wedding is utterly luxurious and traditional, there are little touches of personality, of real style…sprinkled throughout the entire affair. LOVE that.

A little bit of background from the fabulous photographer, Polly…
Liz is an interior designer and drew together her contacts and skills to create a stunning, glamorous wedding with a timeless elegance. This wedding has quite a vintage feel – a kind of 40′s or 50′s glamour to it. Check out the gorgeous individual favours of vintage brooches for each female guest, whilst Jim, the Groom’s reflected his musical background in the mini The Who badges as favours for the men. The ushers were all presented with vintage The Who signed LP’s as a gift from the Groom and he later got up and joined in with the band.

Thank you so very much to Polly Alexandre for sending this beautiful affair our way. Make sure to check out Polly’s blog for even more eye candy. Oh and a huge thank you to the lovely bride and groom for giving us a little window of inspiration into your day. We are obviously in love.

LOVE her necklace!!
I'm having a ballroom wedding too, and I was happy to see this wedding! Thanks for posting!
And YES! I looove the vintage look! It actually looks like a Carol Tannenbaum piece. Those classic vintage pieces are priceless! Ladies- if you ever find a rare piece like that, grab it and make it yours! They are beautiful and so unique!
Love, Love, Love the necklace!
I love how this bride managed to let her personality shine through in this ballroom wedding. The Who buttons on the napkins are priceless.
Beautiful international wedding!! Glorious pretty touches with a vintage splash. Elegant and timeless! Love it. xx
cool photo of the guys holding the who records.
This wedding is so inspiring! Where did the shoes come from? They are EXACTLY what I've been looking for! Thanks for sharing !
I so rarely get excited about traditional ballroom weddings, but I think I fell in love a little bit with this affair! That might be the most beautiful building and most beautiful wedding dress I've ever seen. Thanks Abbey!
Absolutely gorgeous! Where are the shoes from?
how amazing is that necklace! love, love.
Hooray for ballroom weddings! I love love love all the outdoor weddings featured on SMP but it would definitely be great to see more of those stylish ballroom weddings because there are certain locations that just don't lend themselves to outdoor venue selections and I would love to see what those stylush brides are up to! :O)
Wow. The bride's gown and styling are really lovely. Love the jeweled table names too.
I live near here!!!! I am so excited to see an English wedding and such a beautiful one at that. How unbelievably cool are their favours!!?
The shoes are from a company called "Emmy" in the UK, I believe, and I am pretty certain that they customize shoes. I've been on their site, and they're gorgeous, and unfortunately, out of my budget!
I am melting at these photos!!! This is the most perfect, timelessly beautiful wedding. The bride is simply glowing, and the entire affair oozes an Audrey-Hepburn-esque elegance. Congrats you two!
Seeing from pictures it is just perfect wedding; pretty bride, sparkling wine, white flowers, smiling faces
I love the bridesmaid dresses. Where did you get them from?
Hi everyone! I'm Polly, the photographer behind this wedding. Thanks for all your kind words...I absoltely love this wedding too and I'm delighted Liz agreed to share it. I can also answer your questions: the shoes were by Emmy (www.emmyshoes.co.uk) and the necklace is by an Australian designer (available worldwide). It's called the Dior Miss Pearl' necklace and it's by Stehpanie Browne (www.stephaniebrowne.com.au). The bridesmaids dresses are Naomi Neoh.
I love the dresses and the cards on the table. Can't ever go wrong with white as the primary color scheme.
Wow, the bride looked absolutely stunning. What a gorgeous wedding. Thanks for sharing this UK wedding.
Hi I have just stumbled on this wedding album. This is one of our brides from The Bespoke Wardrobe in Danbury Essex. The brides wedding dress is a gown by Stewart Parvin, 'The Way We Were. The necklace is available to hire from us. The Brides maid dresses are made by Naomi Neoh, we have her full collection at the boutique. We also stock the wedding shoes by Emmy. X
