From Inspiration to Reality #2: The Design

November 25th. 2009 by Abby Larson | Filed Under | 46 comments

You are going to need to sit down for this one. We’re debuting our second From Inspiration to Reality feature and although I knew that it was going to be good…I’m not sure that could have ever anticipated this much gorgeousness. The team was headed up by Little Black Book member Agnes Lopez and she just happened to recruit some of our favorite vendors to help out (see full list below) including Etiquette of Chocolate, CollabCreation Films and Designer Liza Chung.

And thus the wait is over. Feast your eyes on this incredibly delicious spread…

I MEAN, COME ON! Crazy beautiful and the style just happens to be spot on with the inspiration board. I am in total awe of this shoot and kind of wish that I could jump right into the fairytale. The dress above is by Vera Wang and just might be my new favorite gown.

Before we discuss the inspiration and the amazing details that went into the affair, I just wanted to give you a few minutes to digest the gorgeous photographs that the clearly insanely talented Agnes Lopez shot. They nailed this shoot and beautifully translated Mariah’s inspiration board into a reality that is sure to inspire wedding, after wedding, after wedding.

Here is a list of vendors who participated…

  24. Agnes says:

    Hi Everyone,

I am still working on getting the info on the bridesmaid dresses.

I know everyone is asking about the headpiece. It is actually just a piece of french netting that the hairstylist strategically pinned to her hair. I bought it online at judithm.com. I think it was like $12.00. The flowers were handmade from wires and beading that we borrowed from Bleu Belle Bridal. It was a display at their store and we decided to put it in her hair. I think they said a local artist made them in Savannah. I am sure you could find something similar on etsy.

The Vera Wang gown's style # is VWB-11417

  25. Pictures are awesome! All three of the bridesmaid dresses are from Priscilla of Boston and can be found at my store:). The one in the middle is from their Vineyard Collection (Gallery 3 and style 1422), and the other two is from their Melissa Sweet (MS324 and MS326) collection.

  26. WOW!!!!!!!! Such a gorgeous concept! This gorgeous wintry setting in a dessert landscape is breathtaking!

    Ring info please????????

  31. Libby says:

Where is the ring from?? I lovvvvvve it!

  32. Agnes says:

Believe it or not, the ring is a beautiful costume piece purchased at a local Stein Mart! Though it looks like a million dollars, it cost only $29. And to top that, the leather riding gloves are from Target currently on sale for $15.00!

  33. Who is the song by, I loved everything.

  34. LJ says:

Another dream realized! Fairytales can come true with the help of some fairy godmothers. Ladies, YOU ROCK! And Eric Torres, your cinematography is genius...so so cool!! Each and every element of the set is totally vintage chic...timeless, classic, fabulouso...just like it's designer...the one and only, LIZA! My dear, you are beyond brilliant! Grazyna, love love love the do! Jackie, each gal's beauty enhanced by your brush...each a gem! Agnes, once again you have captured the magic! I could look at this shoot over and over again...every single shot is delish! OPA!!!

  35. Love the bridesmaid dresses. Very glamorous shoots.

  36. This weblog appears to get a large ammount of visitors. How do you promote it? It gives a nice individual twist on things. I guess having something useful or substantial to talk about is the most important factor.

  37. Unbelievably beautiful! snow looks so real.

  38. Dvor Pink says:

You made certain good points there. I did a search on the subject matter and found a good number of persons will go along with with your blog.
