There really is no way to give Monique Lhullier a proper introduction. Her designs are complete and total perfection. They are girly and feminine, they are traditional and yet unbelievably fresh and innovative. Each gown is a little work of art with lace overlays, perfect detailing and fabrics that are unabashedly luxurious. I love, love, love Monique and if I were putting my money on it…I’d say you do too.
Although Monique kept the same romantic vibe that her other collections feature, her Fall 2010 Collection had a few fabulous surprises. Traditional bodices were updated with fresh, new shapes. Fabric choices ran the gamut from tactile and incredibly traditional to a more sleek, sophisticated style. The detailing on each gown was as impeccable as usual, but this time around, the gowns were even more intricate…even more interesting.
Personal fav for the day was definitely the dress just above with the asymmetrical bodice paired with the classic lace overlay and gorgeous ballgown silhouette. Total me. It’s actually a little reminiscent of the gown I wore for my own wedding which is basically why I love it so very much.
I am also a little bit in love with the gown above, third row. It’s a silhouette that is traditional while still being incredibly sexy. The layers and layers of fabric are a complete dream and make the entire look incredibly innovative. Love it.
As usual, Monique completely hit it out of the park and is making me feel a little bit desperate to pretend I am a bride again and try on every single one. Coming up next, Priscilla of Boston.
