I did the centerpieces myself with the help of my family the day before the wedding, and hired a designer friend for the rest. Since I am a floral designer it was important for me to have gorgeous flowers, but I had to do some work to make it fit my budget. I also asked my 8 (!!) bridesmaids to choose their own black dress, and that was one of my favorite decisions: they all looked so cute and felt pretty in their own style dress. If I could do it all over again I would do some more colorful DIY projects, and let go of a few things that pushed me over the edge of insanity--like favors. There are soooo many fantastic options out there now for budget brides, ladies, good luck and enjoy every minute of it!
