Vintage Inspired Wedding
I thought that this Mad Men inspired wedding was totally adorable, totally fun. Photographed by Tara Kneiser of Dixie Pixel Photography, this wedding is vintage inspired goodness and for me, it’s the definition of a really whimsical wedding. One that you will find so many steal-worthy details. Super, SUPER cute stuff here people.
The cute, cute couple was married in a backyard affair this past October in Tennessee. Blush Weddings and Events did the coordination, flowers by The Flower Pot and Catering by Luxe Catering. That adorable dress was made by Colleen Moore of White Orchid Bridal in Knoxville and the bridesmaids dresses were found on Etsy.

This wedding was a DREAM. Dianna worked over a year to make it the perfect backyard affair. Her beautiful dress was custom made by Colleen Moore of White Orchid Bridal (local to Knoxville, Tn). They were very inspired by the TV show “Mad Men” for their wedding. There were so many delicious details, it’s best to just have a look! I have not yet blogged this wedding on my blog, and the images haven’t been posted anywhere.
SO. STINKING. CUTE. Thank you so much to Tara Kneiser of Dixie Pixel Photogaphy for sending us such a treat. It’s the icing on the already really yummy cake.

Cute wedding but aside from the groom's hat, I'm not really seeing how it was inspired by Mad Men?
I love love love this wedding! I totally see the inspiration and I think they did it beautifully! Love the all the personal details the bride and groom put into everything. Also the images are stunning!

This wedding is really similar to our taste and inspiration for our own outdoor, kinda vintage, kinda rustic wedding. Do you by any chance have any pictures of their seating placement display or name cards?
Thanks all for the kind words. To clarify, the whole wedding wasn't MadMen inspired, really just our style - my dress with jacket and the bridal parties attire. Most everything else was DIY with a vintage flair.
Katie Jo - we didn't do name cards, but I did make fabric napkins for each place setting and had a lavender note in memory of our grandparents with the honey pot favor at each seat too.

I have been collecting blue mason jars and chalkboards also. I have found some cute chalkboards (not as cute as yours) at Save on Crafts.com. ( Hope that helps a little Vaneesha)

Beautiful wedding! Do you know what the width was on the table rentals? Im trying to rent family style tables for our wedding and Im not sure the ones being offered to me are wide enough. Woule be a HUGE help! :) Thanks and congrats

So let's see here:
For the chalkboards I found a variety of sizes and shapes of old picture frames or mirrors at antique stores and in my parents attic. I taped off the frame and painted the glass with chalkboard paint [ask for it at home depot]. It is such an easy and inexpensive way to make unique signage.
I got the fabric for the napkins from fabric.com, and the majority of the patterns came from the anna's drawing room collection http://www.fabric.com/SearchResults2.aspx?Source=Header&SearchText=anna%27s+drawing+room&CategoryID=1d5f47dc-9991-4088-93f3-26a376046a5e
The fabric was torn into 1' square pieces [this is so easy and leaves a frayed edge, if that is the look you are going for]. The scraps were then used for the tops of the honey jars.
Sarads - Im not sure about the width of the tables, I know they length was 8' long and I assume the width was standard - but I can try to find out and get back to you.
As for the printed material, my favorite part, was designed by me. I do free lance graphic design and adore working on invitations and other sorts of printed tidbits! I had the best time working on this part of the wedding, and it is a little bittersweet to me that it is over.
