Okay, so I have a little confession. We actually featured a little peek of this wedding that the fabulous Jose Villa sent our way… a year and a half ago. And for that feature, we included a great look for less. But, seeing that I am doing a photo shoot and blogging simultaneously (not an easy task), I thought you might give me a little leeway and let me post it again! It’s really great information and for any of you that...
We’re sharing Melissa & Brett’s DIY wedding from Jessamyn Harris today! According to Jessamyn, these are just some of the highlights of the day …
“… vintage velvet bowties for the groom and groomsmen … homemade jam favors … homebrewed beer … vintage photo booth with fun props … beautiful handmade boutonnieres and headpieces...
As clean and tailored as the ceremony was, the reception was a bit more swank. It had that “we’re throwing a serious party” feel to it that just makes a girl really happy. Giddy even. Ummm. Yep. Layer, upon layer, upon layer of...

Lucky for us, Jose is sticking around for a while and is going to be sharing lots of his picture perfect weddings with us in the...

We’re going to switch things around a bit this morning and START with a note from today’s DIY bride, Melissa. Give you a little heads-up to what you’re in store for ~
My friends and I cut out over three hundred fabric napkins and my mom made our ring pillow out of felt wool and antique lace. Brett cut all the stumps for the children’s table, cake stand and boutonniere holder. My MOH and I made all of the boutonnieres from found objects from many places. Most of...
We are so excited…albeit a little bit nervous…to launch our newest SMP adventure! A behind the scenes look at all things Style Me Pretty.
When I was a little girl, I thought that being back stage before my dance recital was perhaps the most exciting place. It’s where you really got a feel for the blood, sweat and tears that went into each and every perfect performance. It’s where the dancers...
