Today has kind of turned into a do-it-yourself day… and you can see why. The wedding we featured earlier today was loaded with colorful hand-crafted details and this afternoon’s feature is no exception. Sent to us by Bella Flora Creative, Libby and Matt’s wedding at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, was a charming affair with lots of sweet little touches… in other words, right up our alley!

I love, love, love this color palette. It’s modern but still very natural… and the soft afternoon light with the pop of bright yellows and bold grays, is just divine. Now… about those little fabric flowers?!?! The mix match patterns add a ton of character to the color scheme. Seriously adorable!

From the wedding coordinator, Harper Ferguson…
The bride and her mother made the cute fabric flowers that were dotted around the reception including at each place setting. All of the wish cards for the bride and groom were kept in vintage library card catalog boxes and the escort cards each featured fabric buttons that corresponded to the fabric flower favors at each place setting. Each guest received a personal blank journal from Libby and Matt with their favorite Latin phrase.

Congratulations to Libby and Matt and a big thank you to Harper Ferguson from Bella Flora Creative for sending this wedding our way. The details have put a smile on my face for the rest of the day.
Thanks so much for featuring this lovely wedding! Harper was wonderful to work with and greatly contributed in making the day so visually rich.
Could you please update the photography link, to my new wedding website:

/> Thanks!
Brett
really pretty. love the colors!
Beautiful wedding! I love the colors... I don't suppose someone could tell me where the couple found those table numbers?
Love this wedding. Very creative with fabric flowers and I might steal the escort card idea... :)
{Swoon} Love these!
is it possible to see a DIY tuturioal on the fabric flowers?
Thank you, everyone!
Kay, we got the wooden table numbers from www.sjawoodesign.com and spray-painted them grey ourselves. It was a cinch and much more affordable than metal house numbers.
FYI to lis,
The escort cards are not actually buttons. Instead, we made a 3/4" hole punch on a piece of linen cardstock and sandwiched a bit of fabric between two cards so that it would show through. Names and tables were printed on the cardstock beforehand (though calligraphy would be a great option too). We rounded the corners to finish it off!
awesome job!!! love the cake and everything else, thanks!
Ohhh, the dress...who is that from?!?
Really, really love the colors!!!
Thanks for sharing how to make the flowers. They are a great idea and look fabulous on the table/at the event. Very creative.
Where did the couple order those journals from!? that is SUCH an awesome idea for any literary couple!!
Martha,
We got the blank journals from Hobby Lobby and designed the covers using Photoshop. We had them printed at the local copy store for better quality.
@Marguerite, the dress is Watters from Serendipity Bridal in Austin.
We're getting married there next year! So exciting to see how you set everything up. What time did this wedding start? It looks much brighter than the time at which we were told we could start the ceremony. So pretty!
I LOVE your headband!! Where did you get it from???
love the woodsy, vintage feel. thanks for sharing!
Where did you find your card file box? Great idea. The colors are sooooo awesome and love the flowers
The bride's wedding dress is of exquisite taste! She looked so beautiful in it.Perfect choice!
I absolutely love this wedding. It looks like it was relaxing and enjoyable. The mini flowers are perfect.
Chloe,
We started at 6:30pm but the August sun is long-lasting, so it was still fairly bright at that time of day.
Sarah Phillips,
I got my headband at Serendipity bridal in Austin, TX (http://www.serendipitybridal.com/index.htm ).
Jayne,
Actually the box is homemade! My uncle is very skilled in carpentry, so he created this beautiful box for us and inlayed the "G" which is our last initial. He built it with two rods in the bottom of the box so that the cards (with two slits on the bottom) would stand upright, but these are removable, so we can use the box as a keepsake for anything for the rest of our lives! It was a wonderful present.
Amazing Details. Love it.
This wedding has so many thoughtful details! Great job Libby, Bravo!!
Thanks for featuring this lovely detailed wedding. Everything looks so wonderful.
Libby and Matt were dream clients and the vendors we worked with were top notch! I loved all the details of this wedding and am honored to have been a part of it!
Harper, you are an outstanding talent! And what a lovely couple to do business for! :)
Love these tabletops, especially the cute cute out table numbers! :)
The wedding was beautiful, and so were the precious couple! Family and friends helped celebrate the
union of two super-stars who have, and will make this world a better place.

Libby - I love your dress!!! Who is the designer?
Absolutely beautiful! Every inch of it! We were so proud to see it in real life! Love you Lib!
