Santa Fe Wedding by Twin Lens Photography II

So, sorry for the scramble with the previous post… I’ve had a chance to compose myself and now I feel like I can give this wedding a proper introduction. LBB members, Kitty and Craig from Twin Lens, sent us this amazing New Mexico wedding and I have to admit, I’m kind of obsessed. The couple is beautiful, the photographs are extraordinary, the location is breathtaking… it’s a pretty perfect package.

From the bride, Lauren…

Santa Fe holds a special place in my heart as I grew up visiting there. It was also the destination of one of our first trips together, so the location was an easy answer for us. Overall, we wanted to create an event that was natural, laid-back, was understatedly elegant, and most importantly, was a fun celebration for all! With the help of some fabulous vendors, we were able to do just that… The very first thing I did was research photographers. I have always been drawn to photojournalistic-style photography as I love seeing background moments and candid shots that might otherwise be missed. I fortuitously stumbled upon Kitty and Craig and instantly fell in love with their amazing talent. They also just so happened to be locally based to Santa Fe, so the partnership could not have been more perfect! They were such a joy to work with during our engagement photo session and the wedding weekend, not to mention extremely easy-going and just plain cool as a couple.

Coming up next, some stunning photographs from the ceremony…

I love the hair piece where is it from? Also my dress (also a vera) looks very similar at the bottom how did she do the bustle its fabulous and i'm having problems trying to figure it out!?!?! Did she do 2 different ones?? Help please =)

My hubby got a ridiculous deal on a Tom Ford suit for the wedding. It really is quite a stunning outfit. Unfortunately I do not know the maker of the tie; we found it at Bergdorf Goodman (we live in NYC), so it very well may be the BG brand.

Oh, the hair piece! It was probably my favorite thing I wore, besides my dress. I worked with Leah C. Couture Millinery to create a custom piece for me. Leah is an absolute delight and true talent! Her work has been featured in most all fashion magazines, and will work with you to make most anything you want. http://www.leahc.com/

Lauren how did you do your bustle? Its beautiful and I need help with my own!

  12. Lauren says:

Jazinskm: I just had one bustle on my dress, with two parts. The train hooked unto one of the outside buttons, and the inside was tied in one spot. Despite appearances the dress was of a pretty substantial weight, so the way the button and ties worked together created the "folded" look of the bustle.

    Hi Lauren-

I am in awe over the gorgeousness of your wedding! We are also planning our wedding in Santa Fe (lots of my family lives there now and it is very near and dear to me!). I'm so curious to know who did your hair/makeup...I don't live in Santa Fe and am looking for recommendations!! Any help would be so much appreciated :)

  14. Lauren says:

Hi Sarah - Monica Stark did my make up - she is AMAZING! Her info is 505-412-5125, http://makeupsantafe.com . Lori Whitmire of Adorn Salon did my hair - she was so relaxed and calm, just what I needed for the day. Her number is 505-670-0416, http://www.adornhairstudio.com/index.html . Let me know if you need any other recommendations! Living in NYC and planning a wedding in NM was no small feat.

  15. Sarah says:

    Lauren,

Thank you SO much for the info! That is incredibly helpful! I hear you-we live in DC so I'm sure it's not going to exactly be easy to plan, but we are having both the ceremony and reception at my aunt & uncle's house, so hopefully that will make things a tad easier! We are heading out there in Dec. for the holidays and will hopefully be meeting Kitty & Craig when we're there. Thanks again, and I'll let you know if I think of any other questions :) Congrats again on your marriage!
