Great question, Libby! Personally, I think it depends on how much control you want over your bridesmaids look. If you want to have a clear idea of what your maids will be wearing, then it is always a safe bet for the bride to buy the jewelry. It also takes some of the stress out of what to get as bridesmaids gifts. On the other hand, if you want your girls to have a more eclectic look and you want to save your bucks for a more personal gift, I would let your bridesmaids wear/buy their own jewelry.

I have been in several weddings and sometimes the bride buys the jewerly and sometimes I have to buy it, which do you think is the right way to go?
