We switched things around a bit today and started with Rachel and Nathan’s fantastically fun wedding celebration at the Peoria Country Club. But now, it’s time to get take a few steps back to earlier in the day … because seriously … their ceremony and portraits are unbelievably gorgeous!
And we have to start by thanking their awesome photographers, Jeffrey and Julia Woods for sharing these photos with us. Their artistic flair is pure and simple genius!

Isn’t Rachel just the epitome of the radiant bride???

Here’s a bit of their story ~ from Rachel …
We have both known each other since childhood … we grew apart and decided to meet up again 6 years ago. We immediately hit it off and dated for 5 years until Nathan proposed on September 13, 2008, which happened to be the wettest day in Chicago’s history! It seems that the rain followed us throughout our entire engagement — a snow storm hit the night of our engagement party and a storm came through during my (outdoor) wedding shower. But on August 22, 2009 when we married, the weather was absolutely perfect. Not a cloud in the sky.

Congratulations Rachel and Nathan from all of us here at Style Me Pretty!

And as always, a huge thank you to the tremendously talented Jeffrey & Julia Woods!!

what a gorgeous dress!!! is that amsale? these photos are beautiful!!
Do you know where the flower girls dresses are from? They are adorable!
This wedding is perfectly elegant. Who makes the bridesmaids dresses? They're gorgeous!
I love the blue dresses. We do not see enough blue used in weddings and it's a great color that can compliment many others.
What a classy bride! I'm so touched by the sepia toned photo of the older couple sharing the program, what a terrific shot! Bravo!!
Thanks all for the kind words. It was truly an amazing wedding. Rachel and Nathan (the Bride and Groom) travel several times a year with Nathan's business. So they must be out of town but I will find out about the dresses. Angel as for your comment about the older couple that happens to be the brides grandparents and it was a moment that lasted just for a second. I am grateful that I was in the right place at the right time. Some would call it luck but I call it anticipating a moment.
Thank you all for the fabulous comments! My dress was by Amsale and was purchased at Belle Vie, Chicago. Our bridesmaids and flower girl dresses were purchased by Belle Vie's sister store in Chicago, Vera Wang. The staff and Belle Vie and Vera Wang are all superb!
Our invitations, ceremony programs, menu cards and thank you cards were all made by Arabella Paper Company. They customize each item to fit your every need and are also amazing to work with! Arabella is a paper company that everyone should look into!
The Bronze Frog, Peoria, Illinois, handled all of our paper items as well as many other jobs that a bride needs help with! Jane, owner of Bronze Frog, has a wonderful staff and works with brides from all over. I can honestly say that when you have such great people working with you, it makes being a bride SO much easier. Thank you all!!!
I love the emotion and happiness in the shot with the bride and her ladies. What a beautiful departing shot - the perfect ending!
Wow! The bride looks simply beautiful in her elegant Amsale wedding gown. The flower girl dresses looked very nice. Great photos.....great shots! My favorite shot was the part where the bride and the groom were kissing each other, in front of the church, with the doves coming out of the silver chest.
Incredible images, this looks like true love indeed!
