Lisa included so many personal details that made the wedding especially unique to the couple. She wore Will’s mother’s veil, a ring that belonged to her great grandmother and on her bouquet, she held a hanky that was a part of her bonnet from when she was christened as a child.

Yes, please some information on the amazing veil, and please, maybe more information on veils generally. It is near impossible to shop for veils if you want something beyond a simple netting blusher.

Fabulous colors and venue! I love the re-occuring aspen leaf theme--from the program, leaves sprinkled on the pathway, to the placecards.! --I love Lilywillow too!

My brother in-law had a wedding very similar to this in Aspen, CO last Fall.
They used the Aspen leaves a inspiration too. They picked up Aspen branches and cut slits in them to hold the place cards. They tied branches together and hung them around the tent instead of flowers, and they used the Aspen leaves to line the aisle. The ceremony was in the middle of a field, so it marked the brides path into the clearing. I think they did a spiral pattern up to the altar after getting past the front row of chairs. At the end of the ceremony, we all threw Aspen leaves. It was neat, and cheap.

Love the details! What about the centerpieces?? Some of them look like the flowers are in a bark or white birch type vase....where did you get those?? I also love the lanterns and would love to hear where she got those as well! Photos are amazing!

Thank you for the sweet comments! The veil is actually my mother-in-law's. She traveled to Belgium in the 1960s about a year before her wedding. While there she noticed lots of elderly ladies handmaking lace along the streets. She got to chatting with one of the ladies and decided that she'd like a handmade lace veil to wear for her wedding. She picked out the lace pattern and it took about year for the veil to be made. My sister-in-law wore it for her wedding as well, so we've kind of started a tradition in our family!
The centerpieces are birch bark wrapped vases, tied with raffia. Bloom provided these, along with the rustic lanterns.
I'm so happy with the way everything turned out - the little details really made all the difference!
