Boston Wedding by Tangorra Wedding Planning

Being a Boston girl, I love to feature local vendors. We’ve had the chance to work with a lot of them and let me just say that if you are lucky enough to tie the knot in Bean Town, you are going to be well taken care of. I chose this particular wedding to feature that the fabulous Linnea Tangorra planned, not only because it’s absolutely lovely…but also because it’s indoors! That makes two indoor weddings today, something that I know a lot of you girls are anxious to see!

From the amazing staff at Tangorra Wedding Planning

The took place at the Crane Estate at Castle Hill…during a hurricane!! Luckily for all of us, the inside of the Estate is gorgeous, so even though we went to their “plan B”, no one was disappointed. The rain cleared for just a few minutes before dinner, when Erica and Don were able to sneak outside for some awesome, windy photos!

Erica chose a soft palette of pinks, cream and greens, which complimented the space so well. As it is with every wedding, it was the little touches that really tied everything together. Early on, Erica knew that she wanted to incorporate pears into the day. Guests found their seating cards, shaped as leaves pinned to green pears, which added a nice pop of color to the tables against the pink flowers and metallic cream linens. Their wonderful florist, J. Wrobel included pears into the centerpieces, and they had a pear inspired signature drink!

Ooh, really love all those pretty pink flowers! Thanks for sharing this wedding -- I hope to see more inspiration from indoor venues as the seasons are changing... not all of us can (or want to be) be summer brides! I've realized in planning my winter wedding that there's a lot less eye-candy out there for the likes of us.

Thank you for all the beautiful weddings and great advice! One thing I don't understand, which keeps coming up in weddings featured- what is it with guys and Converse? It seems to appear in every third wedding and it just seems so weird to me that you have the bride all gussied up in diamonds and pearls and lace and the man can't even put on proper shoes even to the ceremony. Maybe this is a cultural reference (I'm not from the US) but I don't get why American girls would stand for it. I understand sandals at a beach wedding but there are these at least semi-formal frilly events and the groom is in shoes that look cute- on little boys.

It doesn't even, let's face it, look cool. Somebody explain it to me?

  7. what a gorgeous & soft wedding palette.

  8. love the delicate colors! so classic...

WL - re the Converse shoes....I think it is a trend that for many is a case of trying to portray that 'hey I may be all dressed up in a suit, but really I am a cool dude who breaks with convention and tradition.....man'

Alternatively, I guess there are some guy who genuinely to just love Converse! I did see a 14 year old boy at a wedding recently wearing Converse shoes with a linen suit and he did look very cute.

Love the color the Pears introduce. Great with the soft pinks.

    RE: Converse
I think the Converse shoes are classic. At my wedding, I pretty much FORCED my hubby to wear the traditional shoes with the traditional tux and tie... and I totally regret it. Looking back I wish I had allowed our wedding to portray more of his personality as well as mine. It should be about US.

The pears for place cards looked great. I always love seeing something so simple turn into something so elegant.

  12. Katie says:

Who makes the dress?!?? I love it!!

  13. Sarah says:

Are the shoes from Priscilla of Boston? I tried on similar shoes there while trying on a dress and they were actually comfortable. Now that i'm on the search for shoes for real (for a dress from another store), I would love an opinion on how the shoes felt during the day.

  14. Liv says:

I know we have all asked but who makes that GORGEOUS dress!?!?!

  15. Love to see a Boston wedding that looks so country! The pears are a fantastic idea. Thank you for sharing!

  16. Dina says:

such gorgeous flower arrangements! And I love the idea of mixing fruit in with the flowers!

Hi Everyone! These are photos of my husband and my wedding. Thank you all for such sweet compliments! My dress is by an Italian designer "Domo Adami" and I bought it at L'Elite Bridal Boutique on Newbury Street in Boston. The staff at L'Elite were absolutely wonderful...helpful, thoughtful, prompt, and creative. Their alterations department is fabulous because they work really hard to personalize the gown to suit each individual woman. I was thrilled with the end result and, as you can see, I couldn't stop beaming in my gown the entire wedding. Best of luck to all of you brides who are in the planning stages...I hope your weddings are as beautiful as you envision!
