DIY Inspired Wedding in Oregon, II

September 4th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 5 comments

There is just something about a DIY inspired wedding. Knowing that the bride, the groom, the friends, the family members all took time to craft a wedding with their own hands is well, lovely. I know that might sound cheesy, but to me, it’s the handmade touches that really make a wedding special. No matter what your budget, no matter how large your vendor list…it’s always nice to have a little bit of handmade charm.

Allie and Josh’s wedding was all about the DIY.

I got this wedding just last night…but it was SO pretty, I couldn’t wait to share it with you guys! The bride and her family basically did everything themselves and with a hint of vintage charm, this wedding is all about the lovely. You just might say that I saved the best for last this week!

First up, the insanely gorgeous bride, Allie…

“yes I said yes I will YES”

September 4th. 2009 by Eddye | 16 comments

“yes I said yes I will yes …”

These are the final words of James Joyce’s character, Molly Bloom, in the novel Ulysses. These simple words served as fascinating and romantic inspiration for Barbara and Steven’s sweetly-sophisticated wedding celebration in Philadelphia last March.

Tanja Lippert is a genius when it comes to capturing absolutely beautiful images, with each photograph being so crisp, so undeniably lovely.

Sophisticated, Chic Wedding in Calistoga

September 4th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 7 comments

I chose this wedding to feature for one, because of the blissfully gorgeous photographs that Tanja Lippert snapped. But also because I am kind of obsessed with the color palette. I la-la-love the sophisticated grays paired with the pops of green and healthy dose of whites. It’s clean, it’s elegant, it’s modern. LOVE.

It’s it beautiful! The wedding was held in Calistoga where basically...

September 3rd. 2009 by Abby Larson | 9 comments

A lot of you know that I live in the beautiful city of Boston, Massachusetts. But for me, it’s Texas that will always feel like home. And when I saw this rehearsal dinner that the fabulous Courtney Caplan designed, I instantly became homesick for the Texas style that I know so well. And really hungry for guacamole.

The rehearsal was held  at One World Theatre in Austin and...

And THIS bride just happens to be drop dead gorgeous so the whole shebang is pure awesomeness.
