We have so much wedding goodness coming up on SMP today…starting with this incredibly charming navy blue and yellow affair. This particular color palette has been a huge hit in the past (remember Laura and Brad’s amazing wedding?) so I wanted to pass along this little gem with the hopes that you would find lots of steal-worthy ideas that you could apply to your own big day.
The wedding took place at the Tapestry House in Ft. Collins, Colorado and was sent to us by Cori Cook who decked the place out in some of the most charming flowers a girl could want. Totally approachable, sweet and utterly chic. Love that.

From Cori Cook…
Jenn and Adam’s Wedding was an absolute blast to work on. Not only are they amazing people, but they just had so much fun with their wedding. Jenn’s wedding colors were navy, white, and yellow. We used lemons, billy balls, roses, hydrangea, and orchids as signature flowers for her wedding, while also incorporating a navy and white striped ribbon where ever we could. She did an amazing job of stylizing her wedding with DIY ideas!
We used her grandmother’s antique earrings as brooches on her bridal bouquet. To top it off, Jenn baked each of her vendors cookies and wrote thank you notes to each of us! How thoughtful!

The photographer behind these gorgeous images is Becky Young, who also happened to fall head over heels for this wedding. Becky’s blog is choc-a-block full of fun details that we haven’t shown here, as well as a quick behind the scenes take on the day. Lovely, all together lovely.

Thank you so much, Cori, for sending this little chunk of heaven our way. The bride and groom are literally glowing with a joy that is completely contageous. We have so much more eye candy on the way today!

I need that dress! Please someone tell me where to find it!
i've always been a fan of the dark navy and bright yellow color palette - just stunning!
Yes - where is that dress from? LOVE IT! Please share...
Oooo, I'm loving the super creative aisle decor! And the button detail on the boutonniere!!
I actually found my dress at a tiny bridal boutique in Seattle called I DO Bridal. I fell in love with the dress and it's detailing because I had never seen anything like it before. So glad people like it! : )
Is there a designer name?
This color palette is THE BEST!!
Yellow is hands down one of my favorite wedding colors, and that striped ribbon with it is so chic!
Update to all interested..the dress was a private label design that has been discontinued :(
Cori, Congrats on your feature!!! Beautiful work, as always!!!! Kerri
Jenn-
I've called the shop and they have the sample available to sell, but won't take any photos for me :( I'm scared to make that kind of commitment over email/without seeing more detail. Would you be able to send me some photos of your dress? Was it comfortable? Anything you can share would be appreciated. I LOVE it! Thank you in advance!

I love the colors! The billy balls were perfect touch to the centerpieces and wedding decor.
The colors are beautiful and Cori did an incredible job. Love the boutenierre too. PS the dress is awesome!
Now I love this dress two times over! Abby posted another bride who wore the same dress. It always looks fantastic: http://www.stylemepretty.com/2008/12/16/real-wedding-nicole-grant-ii/ Or just search Nicole & Grant. Nicole also purchased her dress at I Do. The dress is by Jaquelin Bridal.
Marci-
I attempted to send you an email two nights ago but it didn't go through. I'm thinking the pictures of the dress that I am trying to send you are too big. Is there a certain part of the dress you are really interested in seeing??? If not, I will try to send you a couple different emails in order to get you some pics. Let me know : )
Jenn
Jenn,
I love your ideas! I am using the same colors for my May 2010 wedding. What did you use for favors?
Thanks :)
Hi Erin!
My maid of honor and I found some REALLY cute glass jars from World Market that had a lid that closed with a latch. We filled them with bright yellow colored M&M's, and then tied navy ribbon around them and attached a little piece of circular cardstock with our initials and wedding date on them. If you send me your email address, I'd be happy to send you a pic! I'm really glad you liked my wedding! Congrats on your upcoming nuptials, and "yay" for Navy and Yellow!!!
Jenn
Jenn,
That is such a cute idea! I also love what you did for the aisle, lemons are such a great idea! My email address is love2teach93@yahoo.com
Thanks again!!
Erin :)
Jenn,
Your wedding is beautiful!! I just LOVE everything about it. One quick question, where did you find your bridesmaid dresses?? They are so simple and elegant, just the style I've been looking for for my wedding. Gorgeous!
Thanks!!
Annabelle
Hi Annabelle,
The bridesmaid dresses are from JCrew. They fit the girls amazingly and were fantastic quality. My girls were soooo excited that the dress had pockets because they were able to carry around lip gloss, tissues and even their camera's without anyone noticing. They were perfect! Thanks for asking : )
Jenn
I love the yellow and navy combo. This post is serving as an inspiration for my own yellow and navy wedding in April. Where did you get the navy and white striped ribbon? Thanks!
Jenn- I LOVE everything about your wedding. I actually just ordered the same bridesmaids dresses from JCrew... I was wondering if you could give me your experience with them. The dresses came in but the bottoms were very wrinkled and for that reason very full! Do they calm down at all once pressed? I find that they are making some of my girls look big or frumpy but they aren't at all. I think it just has to do with the wrinkled material?
Alyssa - The dresses DO need to be pressed and they do "calm down" once pressed. My poor mom actually spent much of the evening before the wedding ironing my sisters dresses...I'm pretty sure she even starched them. None of my girls ever expressed feeling frumpy and they all LOVED them. I think the cinched waist helped to avoid that feeling of looking "big". They expressed loving the dresses most because of the pockets...they held lip gloss, tissues and even their cameras in them! They wouldn't have been able to do that without the bottoms being relatively full. Hope you enjoy them!
Hi Jenn,
I am also planning on using navy bridesmaids dresses from J Crew. I love the vibrant feel of the blue in your dresses...do you remember if the color was called "Classic Navy" or "Caspian Blue"? They are really similar in color and I'm having trouble deciding which one to use. I LOVE everything about your wedding! So beautiful! Thank you!
Alexa - Thank you so much! I'm so happy that my wedding could be an inspiration for yours...that's amazing to me! The color of my bridesmaid dresses was the "classic navy" color. I hope that helps! Good luck with your planning!
Jenn,
Your wedding looks stunning! Fun, flirty yet chic! I love it!! I'm getting married in October and also using Navy and Yellow - I would love to see a few more pics of your wedding - like your favors (I read about them above and they sound PERFECT!), centerpieces, etc! Would that be possible??!
Hi Stephanie! I would be happy to share more pictures with you! Do you mind giving me your email address? Good luck with your planning!
Great! Thanks so much!! It is scornelison84@yahoo.com - I look forward to hearing from you!

Hey Jenn,
I'm sorry to bother you but I never received any emails from you with pics. I just wanted to follow up!
Thanks!
Stephanie
Hi Stephanie,
I apologize that you haven't received an email from me yet. My computer that has all of my wedding pics on it has been broken. I just found the cd given to me by photographer recently and am planning on sending some pics to you this afternoon. Sorry for the delay.
Jenn
Hi Jenn,
Awesome wedding! Im getting married in July and have navy blue and yellow as colors too.
We bought cotton cady jcrew classic navy dresses.
I'd love for you to send me some pictures you are sending Stephanie and the other girls on here.
That would be awesome! Looking at your pics here makes me excited for my wedding in the summer!
My email is phoebedoxie@yahoo.com
Thanks.

Hi again, Jenn. I sent you a message a little while back about your bridesmaid dresses since I have the same ones. I have another question regarding your ribbons- I have no been able to find navy and white striped ribbons anywhere- quite frustrating! Where do you find them?
I would love to see some more pictures- do you have a link? If you could respond via email at alyssaandmattk@gmail.com I would greatly appreciate it- our wedding is just under 6 weeks away!
Thanks,
Alyssa
Jen,
I am so glad I found these pictures of your wedding! I am doing Navy Blue and yellow as well, and almost rented black tuxes because it has been really difficult to rent 8 tan suites! I am now going to continue my pursuit to find them. They are just what I pictured in my mind. If anyone needs bridesmaids dresses with sleeves, I got some from JenClothing and love them! Would you mind sending me an email of some more pictures of your wedding like you did for Stephanie and the other girls? natalieblack10@hotmail.com
Thanks for sharing your wedding!
Natalie
Hi!
I LOVE everything about your wedding from what I can see. I am planning on doing the same color palette for my July 2010 wedding and was wondering if I could maybe see some pictures of your favors or any other cool ideas that you had. You would be a lifesaver!
Thanks for sharing your wedding!
Hi Nicole!
I would love to share some more pictures with you, and I am so honored to know that my wedding inspired you! I have a few additional pictures of our day on my blog: http://jbpapier.wordpress.com/2010/06/04/the-knot/ . Hope this is helpful and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
Jenn
I'm currently planning my yellow and navy wedding as well. I love the navy bridesmaid dresses, but I'm curious as to what color the mothers' of the bride and groom wore?
Beautiful wedding!
Alyson
Hi Alyson,
Great question with regards to mother's of the bride and groom attire. I will admit the "mom's" struggled a bit at first when contemplating color choices (my mom wanted to wear navy until she realized that I was using navy as one of my primary colors). So, my mom ended up wearing a shade of light eggplant (on the verge of a raisin color) while Adam's mom wore a shade of baby blue. Hope this helps!
Jenn
I just love this color palette... how does everyone feel about using it for october though?
Jenn - I would very much love to see more photos of your wedding as well, if you are willing to share!
hatch1536@yahoo.com
Thanks!!
Heather
Hi there! Beautiful wedding! May I ask where you found your yellow vases? They're beautiful!
Hi there! Beautiful wedding! May I ask where you found your yellow vases? Thanks so much!
Hi Amy!
I found all of the yellow vases at various antique and thrift shops over the year of planning our wedding. None of them were matching and all had a personality of their own...I love them! You could easily probably find something similar at a Goodwill, thrift or antique shop in your area. Good luck with your search!
Jenn
I loved the use of Grandmother's earrings as brooches on the bouque - clever AND beautiful. How wonderful to see old things given new life - and meaning! Beautiful wedding - congrats to everyone.
