GIVEAWAY!

September 23rd. 2009 by Abby Larson | Filed Under | 720 comments

There really are no words that could possibly do this giveaway justice. Many of the vendors are dear friends of mine that just happen to be the absolute best in their field so it’s a huge honor to have them collaborate on such a massive gift…just for SMP readers to boot.

So let me just get right to it. In honor of all things Napa Valley, and destination weddings at their finest, some of the Bay Area’s insanely talented vendors have come together to gift one lucky reader a pretty fantastic bag of goodies. And by fantastic, I mean $2100 worth of products and services. Yep, you read that right. Pretty incredible!

Oh and the best part is that you definitely don’t have to be in the Bay Area to play!

* * *

First up, the forever talented Alison Hotchkiss is ponying up an autographed copy of the book, Destination Wedding Planner AND a 1 hour consultation with her personally. Alison is the voice behind some of my all time favorite weddings and during the consultation she’ll be able to share style ideas based on your own vision. Priceless.

Next up is Hello!Lucky. If you read SMP, you know that I LOOOVE the girls at Hello! Lucky. They are pure talent and their designs are off the charts gorgeous. And for one lucky bride, they are gifting 100 free destination wedding invitation sets which includes the invitation, envelope, and reply set. Umm, holy cow.

Heath Ceramics, who just happens to craft some of the most gorgeous pieces I’ve ever seen is gifting a seasonal cup set to our winner. Heath’s pieces are organic, they are handcrafted, they are timeless and forever elegant. Personally, they are one of my all time favorite wedding registry spots.

Add to the mix the Bardessono Hotel in Napa Valley who is giving away two free night’s stay valued at $1,000. If you aren’t familiar with this STUNNING hotel and spa, you really need to be. It’s a little piece of perfection in one of the world’s most gorgeous spots and would certainly set the stage for a romantic getaway for you and your hubs.

And while you’re at the Bardessono, you stop by the Bottega Restaurant in Yountville, as they are giving away a $100 gift certificate. Bottega just happens to be Michael Chiarello’s restaurant…which is so cool in and of itself…and is know for perfect dishes that are as warm and cozy as they are completely 5 star.

This next artist is just about as good as they get. Thayer Alison Gowdy, the photographer behind Alison’s Destination Wedding Planner book and the talent behind some of the most beautiful photoshoots you’ve ever seen (including many in Martha Stewart Magazine) is offering a free wedding photography consultation. Based on her RIDICULOUS skills, she’ll tell you how to work with a photographer to get the very best images you can. This is a really, really rare opportunity.

Napa Style is adding a $75 gift certificate so that you can stock up on some of the most gorgeous kitchen and home wares you could ever want. I love, love, love Napa Style and could spend the $75 in about 2 seconds flat. Their products have that Napa flavor that exudes an organic elegance and total style.

  1. Julie says:

Oh, there are so many lovely places I'd love to get married! But I guess my favorite would be where we are actuallly tying the knot: Stockbridge, MA. I love this cute New England town. So charming and fabulous. But I must say, after reading this post, Napa is looking mighty fine!

  2. ellie says:

I am really excited to be planning our summer 2010 wedding in my home town of San Luis Obispo, CA. but I think if I could get married anywhere in the world it would have to be on the Seychelles Islands!

  3. Kristy Shelberg says:

Hello Lucky is so fantastic. I can't wait to order my NYC themed invites. I'm an east coast girl in NYC and wow, does Napa look fab!

  4. Julie W. says:

Napa is a favorite locale of mine! Would love the opportunity to spend a nice relaxing weekend at the spa prior to our wedding day!

  5. Ashley says:

If we could tie the knot in any city in the world it would be Savannah, GA. Everything is so gorgeous and Southern there.

  6. Robin says:

I think the rocky coast of Northern California would be a gorgeous venue! Living on the East Coast now I miss rocky coast lines.
A few photos of Mendocino that inspire me:

  7. Sarah says:

I really wanted to get married in San Francisco actually. I met my fiance there and his family is still in the Bay Area. We decided on a NYC wedding however (where we live now) b/c the majority of the wedding would be coming from the NY/NJ metro area so figured the carbon footprint of a wedding SF would be way too high! Maybe for a vow renewal ceremony...

  8. A-Team says:

Fortunately, my fiance and I are getting married in our favorite city in the world - Chicago! We both went to school there, but now we live in Brooklyn and 99% of our friends and family don't live there. We are so excited to share this amazing city - where met and fell in love - with our nearest and dearest! Thanks for the offer!

  9. Kelly says:

I have been dying to take my future hubby to Napa! What a great place to plan a wedding- and use great resources such as this giveaway! Thank you stylemepretty!

  10. Jessica says:

Boston has a special place in my heart (it's where both my fiancee and I are from) but New Delhi is a spectacular place to have a destination wedding, and the weddings themselves are amazing.

  11. jenraffel says:

I would LOVE to be married in Anguilla. I once saw photographs taken at a beautiful resort there and have been hooked ever since... and maybe one day it will happen, maybe not... but Napa Valley might be a better option since it's in the states, especially since my beau and I love wine.

  12. Jeanna says:

OHHHH -- I have always wanted to get married on the Coast of Maine -- love, love, love the rustic charm of the seaside and smell of the ocean air! mmm

  13. Jaime says:

If I could chose ANY city in the world?! It would be in Sorrento, Italy. It's AMAZING. A coast town in southern Italy, guests would love the beauty of the location, and then we could honeymoon throughout Europe!

  14. Heather says:

My dream destination would be New York City (in the winter) for many, many reasons. Although NYC isn't a sunny, tropical, typical "destination", for me New York stands for everything romantic, vibrant, and cultured. It is where my fiance took me on a whirl-wind, mid-week, day-trip and suprised me with an engagement - by far the best and most memorable day of my life! In the winter when the snow is sparkling against those skyscrapers, it is more romantic than anywhere I've ever been...I'm almost getting goosebumps thinking about it!

The city is so alive with its architecture, food, and people, that we both get a feeling there that we get no where else in the world. We are both huge foodies...reading about and researching chefs and restaurants, trying to learn how to cook like the masters, and where better to experience the best of the best?

I have a love affair with New York. My fiance and I enjoy the city and our weekend trips there so much that we both find ourselves missing it if it is too long between visits! I think that a destination wedding in New York would be the ultimate destination for us because we consider it "our" place and has been part of so many of our most cherished memories.

One more note - I can't believe Hello Lucky is a part of this giveaway!!! :) Their blue chandelier invitation is my favorite invitation in the world, and that part of the prize alone would make me a very happy bride!

  15. Kelsey says:

This giveaway is amazing! I absolutely love everything! The Napa honeymoon retreat would be particularly amazing!

  16. Sharon says:

My fiance and I actually traveled to Napa a couple years ago and both agreed that it would be the perfect place for a wedding. Unfortunately, the logistics didn't work in our favor (all of our guests are east coasters) and we're planning a North Carolina mountain wedding.

  17. slimm says:

I would go to Korea so that my grandmother and mother, both who haven't been back since coming over to the United States almost 40 years ago can return to their homeland and see what I have seen in my time being back in Korea over the past few years and see how their country has flourished and advanced. Also, I would love to have my mom's childhood best friend who acted like a second mother to me when I lived there be able to attend since they haven't seen each other in almost 20 years. Lastly, my fiance is Jewish and I am always telling him about my culture, but I would LOVE for him to see it for himself and gain further insight into myself and my family and my people. I hope I win..keeping my fingers crossed;)

  18. Paula says:

If we could tie the knot at any city in the world it would be Cartagena, Colombia. It's a beautiful city which has both European, Latin and Caribbean influences, and most importantly, incredibly warm people. I think the old churches and cobblestone streets are really romantic and, while neither of us is Colombian, I would love to introduce friends and family to this beautiful spot.

  19. Katie says:

Rocky Top, TN!!! Seriously- I live in East Tennessee and am having a mountaintop wedding...and can't wait to share my pocket of the world with a boatload of international guests (my fiancee is European). My second choice would be Goshen, VA- only because it's the birthplace of my great-grandfather and I've grown up spending summers there. I'm all about travel and foreign places, and we had a ton of options to choose from but decided that a location with personal and family meaning was the way to go for us.

  20. Jenni says:

My dream wedding would be in London, hands down. A ceremony at any of the gorgeous churches and cathedrals here with a glittering reception at The Dorchester hotel. I live here but can't afford to get married here!

  21. Heather says:

My dream destination is Capri, Italy! My fiance and I got engaged on the nearby island of Ischia, and a few days later while in Capri we saw a really beautiful wedding right in the main piazza. I took photos for ideas. It's such a romantic place!

  22. Alyssa says:

My fiance and I are planning to get married in Dallas, TX but wish more than anything that we could be married in Vail, Colorado!!! We love the mountains and are hoping to move to Denver as soon as we finish our Master's Degrees in Texas.

  23. Jenny says:

My dream wedding location would be a private estate anywhere on the west coast. A great view and room for all of my family and friends would be all that is required. I am currently searching for one in my price range for summer/fall 2010.

  24. Anne says:

What a beautiful and inspiring giveaway!

My favorite wedding destination would be in the Swiss Alps. We would serve S'Mores, have a bonfire, hot toddy', and beautiful lights reflecting off of the mountains. I love the mountain, earthy, rustic weddings featured on smp.

  25. Danielle says:

I would pick Puerto Vallarta, MX, where my very own destination wedding will actually be this March!! I love the old world feel of the town (with its modern amenities) and the truly warm and beautiful people that make this part of the world come alive. Our guests are scattered all over the US and Asia, so it only made sense to break outside the mold for a destination wedding... not to mention the food, oh the food!!! :-)

  26. Kelsey says:

we're getting married in 17 days and moving to the SF bay area in 6 months! so many exciting changes! our wedding is on the east coast just outside philadelphia where we currently live- but if i could get married anywhere......? I'd love to have an outdoor wedding in Seattle in the middle of summer- maybe on an island in Puget Sound.. a ferry ride for guests, pine trees and wild life, sail boats, and fresh flowers and salmon from Pike's Market. sounds perfect to me!!

  27. I guess my dream destination would be... my hometown. Venice, Florida... I couldn't imagine getting married any where else. It's small, and a town many just drive through on their way to Sarasota, but it has a distinct southern charm, hometown warmth that I love. The beaches aren't bad either... but friends and family make it for me.

  28. amcati says:

    - I dream of a pretty Martha's Vineyard wedding.. in a grassy spot under a huge tree -ahhh.. however Holly Burns' recent wedding makes me have an urge for a sunny California wedding.

  29. Emily says:

I first went to Italy when I was 18 and fell in love with the country, especially Florence. My mom and I ate at a restaurant right outside of Florence and I told my mom I wanted to get married there someday. When I met my fiance, many many moons ago, we bonded over our love for Italy and how Florence was one of our favorite spots. If we could go anywhere to get married, it'd be Florence, no doubt. We have a limited budget so we've settled on the mountains of Central Pennsylvania as our destination wedding, but it also holds a special place in our hearts, since we're both from Pennsylvania. I've never been to Northern California but it looks gorgeous and like a great spot for a beautiful outdoor wedding!

  30. mary says:

Dream destination wedding? Asheville, North Carolina! A gorgeous mountain destination brimming with natural beauty, eclectic creative people, a sense of history (The Grove Park Inn and The Biltmore Estate!), delicious culinary gems, and wonderful southern joie de vivre! I love it!

  31. Meghan Rose says:

My dream destination would have to be Santorini, Greece. I can just envision it now - a small, intimate wedding in a secluded church yard overlooking the sea, the volcano, and the sunset. The whole ambiance would be perfect for a romantic, ethereal wedding. ::Sigh::

  32. Whitney says:

I absolutely love Napa Valley, but my dream location would probably have to be Positano, Italy. It was there, in the fabulous Ristorante Chez Black (right on the beach!) that my fiance proposed :) After champagne, cherries on ice and much applause from the restaurant, we walked up the winding streets under a canopy of purple flowers and met my parents who were waiting with big smiles. It was the most incredible day of my life and I would love to be able to share a little bit of that with all of my friends and family.

  33. Joanne says:

We've got a long way until our wedding (Sept 2011 to be exact) but I'm already planning it. We're planning to go to my homeland, Vietnam around Dec 2010/January 2011 to hopefully get most of what we need for the wedding (invitations, traditional attires, favors, etc...) as things are still a lot cheaper there than in the US. Since Christmas/NY break seems like the only time that we can go on vacation for at least 3 weeks, I would like to travel to Thailand and Cambobia (my fiance's homeland) pretending that we're on honeymoon. This giveaway gives me an idea to host a reception in Saigon (the biggest city in VN) while I'm in Vietnam as well. My maternal grandma is still living in Vietnam and I hope to have her at the reception then. Gosh now I need to go have a talk with fiance :D

  34. Nevena says:

I guess if I were to pick a city anywhere in the world it would have to be ROME. Although neither of us have been there, we do plan on going for our honeymoon. Rome is filled with history, art, food, culture, & romance. What a sneak preview to all of the good wine in Italy would be to go to Napa. We both LUV to travel and have always wanted to go to Napa.

Back to reality where we will be getting married in Michigan in June of 2010.

Did I tell you that we both LOVE Top Chef, where Michael Chiarello was on TC Masters. What a wonderful prize!!

  35. LibbyJames says:

gallway, ireland. I have never been but it looks so incredible

  36. Amanda says:

My dream destination wedding would be right here at home in Ohio where I'm getting married. I want my family and friends who have been there for me my whole life to witness and be part of my special day. And knowing that a lot of them would not be able to travel for a wedding it only makes sense to stay home close to them. They helped make me who I am today and they deserve to be there. I could not imagine going someplace where many would not be able to attend.

  37. Lindsey says:

My dream destination wedding would definitely be Brazil. Incredible beaches, music, food, drink and spirit.

  38. Sarah says:

A villa with a vineyard in Tuscany would be my pick -- anywhere with a vineyard makes for such spectacular wedding photos, and the food and wine make Italy the ultimate romantic destination. (Because food and wine are really among the most important parts of a wedding, right?!) Somewhere in the Napa Valley (the incredible restaurant Auberge du Soleil comes to mind) would be a close second. We considered Napa briefly during our very long venue search, because I'm from the Bay Area and spent a lot of time there growing up and absolutely love it. Unfortunately, we just couldn't swing getting all of our East Coast family and friends out there. This is an amazing giveaway!

  39. Jessica says:

I would love to be married in Oxnard, CA. I know not very dreamy but in the beginning of our relationship FI and I traveled to California and although we didn't tell each other at the time this is where we both first realized we loved each other. I specifically chose Oxnard because from San Diego we missed our train to LA, rented a car but then were too late that night to check in to our hostel. We then decided to just drive and find a place near the beach to pull over and sleep. In the course of all this we had our first real fight and our first real make up and then finally settled on a random street near the beach in Oxnard having no idea where we were. Whenever I think of our trip I always think of that night.

  40. Liz says:

I would love to have a wedding on a farm somewhere near Burlington, Vermont. In the fall, when the leaves are changing and we could do some really beautiful table scapes with deep reds, browns and oranges. Use apples and pomegrantes and haystacks and cinnamon to jazz up cocktails and really inspire the senses.

  41. Jennifer says:

wow, what a giveaway! My dream destination would definitely be a rustic styled vineyard somewhere... whether it be napa, walla walla, or elsewhere. I really love that cozy and rustic feel.

  42. Liz says:

  43. Michelle says:

If we could tie the knot in any city in the world it would be Paris. We went backpacking through Spain and France in Summer 2006 and it was truly the most gorgeous, romantic place we've ever experienced.
The city is simply magical...the beautiful, chic, independent people, the history, the culture and of course the food. Oh the food!

We are very lucky to be having our wedding at a beautiful venue in Hilton Head, South Carolina in May. I would DIE if I won this giveaway. I am due to have Save the Dates out soon and am seriously considering several from Hello Lucky!

  44. Laura says:

Cam and I have been together for 7 years. We met in photography class my senior year of college and have enjoyed "growing up" together in our 20's. After Cam's father passed away a few years ago I often wondered if I would ever see him smile again. My father being kind gave us a trip to San Francisco for Christmas. We left for the city on the bay the end of February and had an amazing time. I knew that we had gotten our step back when we found our way to the top of Nob Hill and lounged away the afternoon in the park together. If their was anywhere in the world that I would want to marry Cam it would be in that park. That is where Cam found his laugh, that is when I knew we would be alright, and that is where we found each other again:) Looking back we often reflect on what an amazing time we had in San Francisco. It was definitely a turning point in our journey together and has became a special place in both of our hearts.

  45. Britney Sales says:

If I could get married anywhere, it would be Chicago, Illinois (and I think my husband-to-be would agree!). I even found the sweetest invitations by Anna Melcone Bond that would be perfect! Anyway, back to the story. We met 5 years ago at a music festival in Bushnell, Illinois. After talking, we realized we lived in the same state, Missouri, 15 minutes apart, and we soon started dating! Two years later, we went back to Illinois to visit Chicago for the first time; it was our first vacation with just the two of us, and I never knew vacationing could be so much fun! Last October, he took me back there to propose. He recreated the first Chicago trip by taking the train there and staying in the same hotel. Yes, Chicago, Illinois, that's where it would be.

  46. Bethany says:

My fiance, Eric, and I are so thrilled to be celebrating our winter wedding at a gorgeous estate in Central Vermont - Pittsfield, VT to be exact. While there are so many hidden gems in this world, I can't imagine any other locale to enjoy an intimate family gathering. A cozy town nestled at the foot of the Green Mountains, Pittsfield is filled with rustic charm, warm people, and a true sense of community. S'mores, snowshoeing, warm fires and wonderful food ... Pittsfield in December will be utterly magical!

  47. digm11 says:

What a fantastic giveaway! Seriously, everything looks fantastic. We're getting married in Chicago since we live here and it's a very central location, but if I could, I would love to be married in Hawaii (where I spent a significant part of my childhood). But since having friends and family be at the wedding is the most important thing, the mainland it is. (Don't get me wrong; I'm thrilled to be getting married in Chicago.)

  48. Jennifer says:

This give-away is incredibly generous! My fiancé and I would be lucky just to win a part of it!

We will be getting married in CT but my dream wedding would be a rooftop in NYC at night...

  49. Mouse says:

Tucson, Arizona! Warm there in the fall, when we want to get hitched, and the vibe is perfect!!

Or Santorini. But it's just too much money.

    Gorgeous giveaway!

  50. Morgan says:

I think a destination wedding on cape cod would be absolutely dreamy... Rent a great big beach house for the whole family to stay in, get married by the ocean and stay up all night on the beach with a bonfire going and a lot of great food, great cocktails and great company!

  51. julie says:

ironically enough i would have looooved to get married at the one of the wineries in either napa or sonoma. my fiance and i have a great love for wine and wine country! shortly after we were engaged last year we vacation to san francisco, then headed to napa and sonoma. i acutally thought we'd get engaged on that trip, but surprisingly enough i got the ring a few weeks before! :) we just feel in love with the area and people and dreamed of how great it would be to fly all our friends and family out for the big day ( we live in ny) what better way to begin our lives as one than to be surrounded by vinyards, good wine and great company?! unfortunately it was not something we could afford and although we found a beautiful spot to get married at in the tri-state area, i joke in my second lifetime we'd do it the right way our way in vinyards!

  52. Suzanne says:

As much as I love my city of Charlotte, NC, the anglophile in me thinks getting married in London would be "ab-fab"
My parents were ex-pats there for 2 years which afforded me the opportunity to visit them often. I fell in love with the people, traditions and architecture of my ancestors.
My sweetheart and I visited Napa this past May and sadly couldn't score a table at Bottega. :( Would love to have another opportunity to revisit!

  53. I'm a lucky girl, because my dream destination wedding in Napa will become a reality on June 12, 2010!

After two years on the traveling team for the Obama Campaign, I landed in Washington, DC, about as far away from my hometown in Sacramento, CA as possible. It was my dream to return to California to celebrate my marriage to Steve with my friends and family, and there is nowhere more sophisticated and inspired than Napa.

It's not easy planning a wedding from the other side of the country while also working for the White House, but I'm giving it a shot. I could certainly use some help! This giveaway would give me the perfect tools to tackle some of the details I haven't yet nailed down. Many thanks to Abby for pulling these awesome vendors together - whether I win the giveaway or not, I am thankful to have this collection of vendors to reach out to!

  54. Elena says:

Wow, what an awesome giveaway!!! My dream destination wedding would definitely be in Italy! But, since we have so much family and so many would need to travel, we are planning a wedding in San Diego at the Darlington House for next October, very excited!!!

  55. Jessica says:

    Wow. This package looks stunning.

My fiance and I are excited to get married at our dream destination....Jacob's Pillow in the Massachusetts Berkshires. Imagine this: a place packed with phenomenal dance history blended with beautiful rustically elegant buildings. Mother nature also gives us an unbeatable backdrop. An added bonus: our guests are running to our wedding, so excited to spend a weekend in this stunning spot!

  56. Alyson says:

    Holden Beach, North Carolina!

  57. Sarah says:

Big Sur... romantic, wild and independent with a strong dash of community.

  58. cara says:

Tough question, but at least it makes us work hard for this *phenomenal* package! If I could get married anywhere in the world, it would be the Philippines -- okay, I know I should pick a city, but I'm indecisive, so I'll just say Batangas for now! My parents emigrated from the Philippines, and they're the only ones (from families of 7 and 6 siblings each) here in the States -- so I'd love to get married where all the family could attend! Not to mention Batangas is, of course, breathtakingly beautiful -- so I've heard :)

    Fabulous giveaway, thanks!

  59. Nicki says:

Definitely Maine - right on the coast! I went to college there and I miss it!

  60. Julie says:

If I could get married anywhere in the world, it would be on the island of Maui. That would be heaven!!

  61. Carlee says:

I've always wanted to get married at the Roche Harbor Resort, San Juan Island, WA. It's so historic and beautifully situated on a hill over looking a little harbor. Unfortunately our Seattle, WA location is destination enough for most of our guests, so we are going to just encourage them to visit if they have the time.

  62. Kelly says:

I love Napa!!! This is an amazing giveaway. Thank you!

  63. Sara A. says:

I am lucky enough to be getting married in a city that is very special to my fiance and I - Charleston, SC! Although we now live in Houston, TX we are so happy to be getting married in the state where we met - in college at Clemson University. Charleston is so rich in culture and history and I am hoping to bring that into the details of our wedding which will take place at the Gibbes Museum of Art on Memorial Day weekend. I know the ladies at HelloLucky could help us find the perfect stationary to reflect the beauty of Charleston. We are avid travelers (and foodies!) and a trip to San Francisco and Napa is high on our list!

  64. Donna says:

My dream destination wedding would actually be in Napa Valley. My fiance and I are big wino's (watched "Sideways" on my 21st birthday and been hooked since!) and visit wineries on our roadtrips. We've been to wineries in Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas, and some in Sonoma Valley, but never actually Napa. My dream wedding would involve an outdoor ceremony among the vines with a reception among the distillation tanks! But our families were against the idea of a destination wedding so we're getting married in Dallas. But this package would enable us to re-live a bit of that fantasy!

  65. Jodi says:

My fiance and I met while serving together on a federal jury in Rochester, NY. The case lasted 3 months which thankfully gave my fiance enough time to ask me out (he's pretty shy). We started dating immediatly after the trial ended and have been crazy about each other ever since. The funny thing is, we both tried our hardest to get out of doing jury duty. Thank God our excuses didn't work! We are planning a wedding in the Caribbean for this spring and we both think that Jamaica would be the most fun. We're hoping to have the judge that prevailed over the court case upon which we met, perform the ceremony.

  66. Jodie says:

My dream destination wedding is forming as I write! My fiance and I have a small budget but lots of friends, family, and love to make it a wedding I know everyone will enjoy in San Diego,CA. We currently live outside the Bay Area, but have traveled down to San Diego every year we were together (7 1/2 years) prior to our engagement. We love living in Northern CA and often take weekend getaways (on a budget of course!) to various California destinations along Highway 1. So my second destination wedding choice would be at a Bed and Breakfast along Highway 1 surrounded by ocean and tall redwoods! The giveaway is amazing and we would appreciate and savor every minute of it.

  67. Katie says:

B-A-R-C-E-L-O-N-A! I've never been there before but I dream about going with my fiance. I'm always looking at colorful pictures and imagining us walking the city streets and eating papaya. Beautiful Barcelona! Good luck ladies!xx

  68. Mary says:

I think my dream destination wedding would have to be in Tuscany. It has that perfect rustic charm and old world culture that I lust for. The rolling hills, the old stone buildings, the wine, the food, the romantic language... Tuscany has it all!

  69. Kiley Cogis says:

What a fantastic giveaway! I'm so thrilled.

My dream destination wedding would be in a small village town in Italy! Never been, but I can imagine how gorgeous it would be to get married there.

  70. Daniella says:

This is amazing! You guys are incredible, what's crazy is that i was JUST looking at that destination planner in the bookstore the other day.. it is full of great tips and SO organized! I'm not engaged, lol... but i've been with my favourite person ever for 5 years and this summer we've been in/to FOUR wedding within like 2 months! With all the craziness, I could definitely see myself having a little getaway celebration... somewhere gorgeous in France would be the ultimate location!!!

  71. Ashley says:

My dream destination would be in the Australian outback! :) My fiance and I are pretty adventurous and have always talked about going to Australia. We love the idea of wide open land, and the serene feeling!

  72. Emily says:

This is a dream giveaway!! If I could get married anywhere at all, it would probably be Florence, Italy. The city oozes with romance and you can't go wrong with the food! Instead, we'll be getting married in CT, the state my fiance and I are both from. I am giddy with excitement over this entire process!!

  73. Amanda says:

Love it! Love anything that deals with warm weather, sun, sand and can we please mention the best part about Nappa? Hellllllllllloooooooooooo Vineyards!

  74. Jenn says:

It would be between two destinations: Healdsburg or Paris. What a dream!

  75. Jessica says:

As a displaced Southerner in New York City, my dream wedding location would merge my two worlds: traditional Southern charm with a contemporary edge! I actually found my DREAM destination wedding right here on Style Me Pretty:

    http://www.stylemepretty.com/?s=Wickliffe+House&x=8&y=14

The location actually boasts my last name- how perfect is that?

  76. Lindsey P says:

Santa Barbara, CA!! This is my favorite place to be! I met my fiance here while in college and the city is so special to us! He also proposed here and we are currently trying to plan our wedding day in Santa Barbara!

  77. Abby says:

Well, if I could get married in any city in the world it would be Rio de Janeiro. My fiance is from Rio, and we have both spent a lot of time there. We are getting married there next summer, and though we don't live there anymore it's totally my dream to get married in the lush-ness of Rio's very wild rainforest, surrounded by amazing views of the sea.

  78. Libby says:

My dream destination wedding would be in Chicago… let me explain

My fiancé and I met almost 2 years ago to the date. I was living in Alabama and he lived in Rhode Island. On Sept. 19th, 2007 I traveled to Chicago, for one night only, to attend the furniture show in the merchandise mart. Meanwhile, my future fiancé, was in Chicago for one night to attend a business conference in the merchandise mart. After the furniture show my co workers and I went across the street to a little piano bar. As soon as I saw him I swooned. After a little liquid courage I approached him. We talked all night. At one point he actually said to me ‘you seem like the type of girl I want to marry’ (which of course at the time I assumed was a pick up line haha). The next morning we text back and forth all morning. We both had departing flights around the same time in the airport. He came to find me, but by the time he got there I had already boarded the plane. He called me every day for 6 months. He visited twice and I visited him once. After six months he flew down, we packed up my things, and I moved 1200 miles to the tiny state of Rhode Island. Our wedding is next May and things could not be more perfect! Whether you are a believer in fate or not, there is no denying that something was right in world for us to meet. I would love to go back to the city since it holds such a special magic and take our vows in the place where crazy fate brought us together.

  79. Kathleen says:

    Count me in to win!

  80. Jennifer says:

    London!

  81. I definitely wanted to get married at a winery...but the few wineries by us were either too pricey or too far. We decided to do a local wedding. Honoring my grandmother who recently passed and having the ceremony at her church. I was baptized there and also went to preschool there. Then off to a women's club for a fun evening of dining and dancing.

Napa would be a dream wedding -- or a really nice low-key honeymoon. it's in the mix for our honeymoon options. Obviously, this would be a nice boost to our trip.

    Hope we win!!

  82. Elizabeth says:

My dream destination wedding spot is in Greece! My girlfriend is getting married in Napa next year and I can't wait to go!

  83. Kimberly says:

It would have to be Hawaii...where my fiance and I are getting married next year. I always pictured a romantic wedding on the beach :)

  84. Helen says:

Probably Greece! I've always really wanted to go but haven't had the money or chance.

  85. Michelle says:

I know this is a bit odd, but Zanzibar Island, Tanzania in Africa strikes my fancy. Beautiful beaches, historical churches, villas, etc and a magical moroccan touch to it. Supposedly you have the most beautiful view of the stars there.

  86. Carly says:

My fiancee and I live in Arlington, VA but are planning our wedding in my hometown of South Florida - so it's a destination for us! :) In the three years we've been together, since we met on Halloween 2006, we've had the wonderful opportunity to travel to a lot of places, and growing up in the foreign service my hubby-to-be has been to a lot of places - so it's hard to surprise him with somewhere new! But of all the places we've been to California ranks as a favorite, and if we could move we'd pick Northern California for sure. I think if we could plan a dream come true destination wedding we'd want to have a wedding on a sprawling, lush vineyard in the crisp, cool Napa Valley air. We loved it for the vibe, the food, the WINE, the color and the beauty of the surroundings. Keeping my fingers crossed!

  87. Caroline says:

Oh my gosh! What a FABULOUS giveaway! My jaw was open as I read each component....all of it sounds so fabulous and relaxing and delicious!!
Although I love our wedding venue -- think: big oak trees, white fences, garden house with big chandeliers -- if I could big a destination wedding, I'd pick on the coast of Greece. My fiance is Greek, but I haven't been to Greece yet! The beautiful coastal line, with all the white and blue houses would be an absolute dream. Everything would be airy -- especially the dress!
Thanks for this give away - certainly allowed me to daydream for a bit!

  88. Courtney says:

If I had an unlimited amount of money I would have my family fly over to Byron Bay, Australia. Have a small affair in a quaint beach town outside of the city of Brisbane…. with a ton of wine and fresh seafood! However, that is pretty unrealistic considering my fiancés one of 8 children so I would keep it where we are now, in New York… in a small beach town outside of the city…same feel, just on the other side of the world minus the tropical climate!

  89. Noelle says:

We are actually getting married in our "small-scale" dream destination, at an incredible, modern chapel in Minneapolis. However, if money was no object, we would be flying out to northern Norway to get married by the majestic fjords - if you need a city, then we would specifically pick Tromsø :-) I studied Scandinavian culture in college, and my fiancee's family is Norwegian and Swedish through and through (his mother's maiden name means "forest" in Norwegian/Swedish, and his last name means "the hill" in Norwegian), though sadly neither of us have had the opportunity to travel there yet.

What an INCREDIBLE getaway! Thank you!

  90. Michelle says:

My dream wedding would be in Istanbul, Turkey. I lived there as a child and the architecture and history are would make a memorable destination for our guests. I'd love to be married in a city than spans continents and centuries.

  91. Kacey R. says:

Bald Head Island, NC--the place where it all started! The little Chapel is beautiful and full of significance for us. It was there that he confessed his love for me two years ago, and it was there that I said "yes!" a month ago!

  92. Kim says:

I just got a little weak in the knees, this is an amazing package! A girls got to dream right! If Benny and I could get married anywhere, I think it would have to be Paris, he lived there as a child and we have always talked about how romantic the city is, cliche as it is.

  93. Ana says:

Our dream would be to tie the knot in the La Rioja region of Spain. Our story started in southern Spain where we lived for a year and has blossomed over the past 5 years with strong roots both there and in Barcelona. We love the outdoors, savor good wine and embrace the relaxed appreciation of life's small graces that abounds in that area of the world. Though we crave travel and welcome any opportunity to delve into Spanish language and culture, our family and friends are scattered along the west coast and we are therefore looking to find a similar haven in our home state of Washington or California. A vineyard would undoubtedly capture that sense of celebration and serenity that we continue to seek in our busy lives.

  94. betty says:

Malibu! Gorgeous landscape, wonderful food...what else could you ask for?

  95. Nicole says:

Swoon - this is just what I need!

If I could get married any place in the world it would be in Grand Teton National Park in the summer. It is so beautiful there.

Thank you for this great give away!!

  96. This giveaway is amazing! I love love love Michael Chiarello, I am such a fan of his show and loved him on Top Chef. Our dream destination was Carmel, and we got what we wished for.

  97. J says:

My dream destination wedding would be in Fiesole, Italy, a hill town that overlooks Florence. The views are lovely and of course there is great wine! And it would be the perfect excuse to get our families (both have Italian heritage) to Italy.

  98. Rory says:

My dream would be a gorgeous vineyard in California, especially one that has a wine cave and a ceremony spot in the vines.

  99. Jesi says:

How awesome is this giveaway! Napa is so gorgeous and I would love the chance to visit again, mmm...wine.

  100. Zom says:

My husband and I got "married in a fever" and did a quick, easy, small ceremony with a solemn vow (in addition to that other, life-long one) that we would have a "super-wedding" with everyone one we know once the dust settled and we had saved a sufficient amount. In 2011, we will be hosting a moderate sized bash with maximum sized fun and theme. See...it is really going to be a SUPERWEDDING an event as chic and well-designed as a super-hero themed wedding can possibly be and not at all cheesy or dorky. Our destination location (our guests will be swept into town on super-cool super-cars) is Chicago...if it is good enough for the most recent Batman movie (The Car chase was filmed in the underbelly of the lakefront) then it it is good enough for our...SUPERWEDDING!

  101. whitney says:

What a dream giveaway! If I could get married anywhere it would be in Greece. San Francisco sounds pretty nice too!

  102. Amy M says:

In 2004 I spent a semester studying in Rome, Italy and had the best time of my life. The food (oh, the food...), the wine, the language, the culture (how do you not blush a little when a handsome train ticket operator interrupts you to say you have beautiful eyes?). Rome was magical.

In April of this year, my then-boyfriend and I traveled to Italy (his first time) for his sister's wedding. On the second to last day of our two-week trip, and late at night after the most delish dinner (did I mention how good the food is?), he dropped down on one knee on a little side street off the Spanish Steps, and asked me to be his wife. (I know, it sounds surreal...)

Ahh, if only things really did come in 3s. My dream destination wedding would be in Rome where I went to school, and where my now FH and I share a new memory.

    It's nice to dream, isn't it :)

  103. Pritsana says:

I'd have to say that my dream wedding would be in both Indonesia and Thailand! My fiance is from Indonesia, and I am from Thailand - we both haven't had the opportunity to travel to each other's country but plan to within the next few years. We'd love to share the memories of having traditional cultural ceremonies with our families across the world.

  104. Tobie says:

Not very original, but I just love Hawaii.

  105. May says:

If we could tie the knot anywhere in the world, one city would be Chicago (which we are doing for our ceremony but not our reception - we met here, went to college here, and currently live and work here) and the other would be...oh anywhere in Scotland, France, or Greece. I imagine those cities would be so beautiful and intimate...and probably less stressful than planning one at home (our guest list doubled and now we have to change rooms and the look of the decor :( Sorry, just a little sad about it! I love and hate the planning process).

  106. mLee says:

I've actually always wanted to get married in Napa! It's so beautiful there. I just love the look of wineries and all the fields as you drive around. It's also so peaceful and cozy at the same time. A great place to celebrate the big day or even a weekend getaway if you live in the bay area. That's where I got engaged and so it will be a special place for us for forever.

  107. Katie says:

I love Napa - we're tossing around the idea of a "destination" Napa winery wedding :)

  108. Dana says:

I don't have a specific place in mind, but I would love to get married somewhere deep in the woods. Autumn leaves scattered everywhere, sunlight shining through the branches above us. Surrounded by family and friends, and feeling completely contained and away from city life...

  109. Allison says:

Cortona, Italy. A small, medieval walled city in Tuscany. It has beautiful views, and the town itself is amazing.

  110. Erin S. says:

Hmm. Dream destination? Loire Valley, FRANCE. Although Yountville is pretty rad... It is also the home of The French Laundry. So much goodness in one small place.

  111. Rachele says:

Me and my fiance originally planned for an elopement but then my mother begged us to have a traditional wedding here in NJ. Our fantasy elopement-wedding was in Hawaii. We wanted our ceremony to take place on top of Mount Haleakala at sunrise. People say its the most breath-taking site in the world to see the sun come up through the clouds. What a better way to start your lives together, standing in the clouds!

  112. Alicia says:

My dream wedding takes place on the island of Mallorca, Spain where Chopin and George Sand played out their love affair.

The ceremony would be in an old church and the reception would be in a villa set above the Mediterranean in the village of Valdemossa. We would dine on figs wrapped in bacon and goat cheese and dance under the Mediterranean sun. Paradiso!

  113. Brit says:

    Would love that Napa Trip!

My dream destination? Santorini, Greece. I have loved that place since I was 11 and have adored the white buildings with blue roofs and shutters.

  114. Pamela says:

My fiance and I met in Belize in Feruary, I moved to Holland to be with him in July (he's Dutch) from NYC. He proposed in Austria, on top of a mountain. We are getting married in NYC in Fall 2010 so that all of my friends and family won't have to travel so much - Central Park and then renting out a space in DUMBO for gorgeous views of the city. We talked about doing a destination wedding to Aruba but we may move there in 2012 as well. We are racking up those frequent flyer miles so any way that we can cut down on our expenses would be fantastic!

  115. Rachel Ciufo says:

We are planning our upcoming nuptials in March of 2010 in VEGAS baby and we couldn't be more excited about it! We can't wait!

  116. Alexis says:

Getting married at a winery (Napa, Italy...anywhere) would be our dream, but it's just not possible living in Chicago. We have always wanted to take a trip to wine country. I suppose our dream wedding would be on a winery in Napa followed by a honeymoon in Italy and France. We love wine and food more than we should. What a lovely giveaway!

  117. MrsJG2Be says:

My dream spot is Providence, RI. Its a beautiful city and its wear my fiance and I met and fell in love!

  118. Kimberly says:

My fiance' proposed on the top of a mountain on the Kenai Penninsula in Alaska...it is one of the most beautiful places in the world. If it weren't for the expense of traveling to (and staying in) Alaska I would absolutely LOVE to tie the knot in the little coastal town of Seward on the Kenai Penninsula. We could rent out all the cabins at http://www.angelsrest.com/Home.php and get married right on Ressurection Bay!

  119. Sarah! says:

I'm speechless about all these wonderful vendors! I was just in Napa visiting my college roommate and it took my breath away. I love how the vendors who so graciously volunteered truly seem to showcase the rustic beauty of the region. My fiance and I have considered honeymooning in Napa, because we're planning on moving from the Midwest to San Francisco as soon as we get back from our honeymoon! Being able to drive "back home" (ahhh!) would certainly ease the transition.

Thank you again for offering this wonderful opportunity!

  120. Alexa says:

Our wedding will be in Seattle- which will be a destination for quite a few of our guests. However, if I could pick anywhere in the world it would either be Catalina Island, CA or a private beach in Thailand or Malaysia (we're both SCUBA instructors too so the local is perfect at any of these locations).

  121. Kailie says:

    Cinque Terre, Italy- so gorgeous!

  122. FALLON says:

WOW! Can you say amazing! What a package! Napa is so romantic, this would definitely be my top city in the US to get married. In the world? Hands down PARIS! :-) Why? It is the most romantic city in the world. Thanks for this awesome giveaway. Good luck to all of the contestants.

  123. julie says:

My dream destination would be to be anywhere my fiance is. The day my fiance and I hit the hundred day mark from our wedding I felt a huge shift in our lives. I felt as though we needed to be together to feel complete. I am not one to normally feel this way about anything. I have been a very independent person since I was 17 and moved away from home. My profession has taken me away from my family since I was very young, so being alone was never an issue for me until now. I feel as though wherever my fiance is, is where HOME is for me now.

If I had to choose a destination it would be Paris. I used to think it was a cliche to think of Paris as the most romantic place in the world, that was until I spent three weeks there alone. I never understood the allure of the city until I immersed myself in the life of the city.

Paris at anytime of the year would be overwhelmingly romantic and charming. I also love that you would simply use the city as your backdrop and need nothing else to make it look and feel amazing. No amount of decor can compare to the natural sparkle the city brings.

Being married at one of the many small churches in the city, having an amazing meal at one of the bistros, and then walking through the city at night when it is completely lit by those small twinkling lights after you have tied the knot would be amazing.........................a dream of sorts. The waking up to pastries in bed!

  124. Mel K says:

I would have to say that our location would still win - it's at the Rockhouse in Negril, Jamaica. But if it were feasible, Napa Valley or even somewhere in Italy or France in the wine country would be just amazing. Since I live on the east coast, it's much easier for our guests to get to the islands than across to CA.

  125. Hillary says:

What a great idea! I love SMP! I am a bride to be and this web site provides SO much inspiration - makes me want to plan a wedding every year of my life! My fiance and I found an adorable spanish piece of art (while in mexico) that says "te amo" and we now always say "te amo" instead of the english version...I would love to tie the knot in SPAIN and say "te amo" all day long with him :)

  126. Lehua says:

OMG! please please please let it be me. we're planning our wedding for july of 2010 and this would be perfect for us to relax and getaway before the big day.

& i want to say thank you for offering such a fabulous giveaway.
you're absolutely heavenly for doing it.
    <3

  127. becky says:

well all of the above sounds fabulous! napa sounds absolutely wonderful! my dream destination would be in the mountains. vail? aspen, perhaps? intimate and classic is what we dream of.

  128. Mara says:

What an amazing giveaway! Our dream destination wedding would be somewhere along 17 mile drive in Pacific Grove, California, looking onto the ocean.

  129. Emma says:

hmm... dream wedding, PARIS! hands down Paris. When Bubba (the fiance) asked me to be his girlfriend, he woo'ed me with this incredible speech in complete french ( mind you I dont speak the language, ha) We spent a summer exploring the french coast and Paris together and a year later - he prosed, in french, again! We are in the process of interviewing to be bicycle tour guides in Paris this spring - we just feel drawn to the place........ fingers crossed that we can make it back soon and spend months riding the streets on bicycles!

...O! and Thank you Style Me Pretty for this opportunity! What a fun little offer to wake up to on this fabulous day!

  130. TH says:

I don't really have a choice for having a destination wedding elsewhere since my hometown is in Vietnam and most of our relatives and friends are there. I'm planning a wedding there from Boston. It's in November...yup, less than 2 months and I'm not sure where everything stands! I would love to win 1 hour consultation with Alison Hotchkiss! Thank you!

  131. Laura says:

outerbanks in North Carolina. I've always wanted to go, it's so beautiful!!

  132. Nina says:

Wonderful!! I'm not just saying this, but my fiance and I are planning to honeymoon in Napa! Seriously! :) Thanks for this cool opportunity. xo Nina

  133. Christina says:

SMP is such a breath of fresh air! I adore the wedding inspiration and find myself coming to the site multiple times a day just to take in all of the lovely photos and comments!
My ideal wedding destination would be any place where we can be outside, soak in a brilliant sunset and be surrounded by the people we love the very most.
Carmel, CA or anywhere in Napa Valley would be exquisite!

  134. Jessica Hart says:

We're getting married this April, and it will be in our favourite place in the world- our home town of Vancouver, BC.
Even though Vancouver is not a tropical city it encompasses everything about us; its where we met, where we started dating, where he proposed, and where all of our family lives. Even though we don't live there anymore, getting married anywhere else wouldn't be staying true to us.
For us its home, and there's no where else in the world I would want to marry my best friend.

  135. kpoe says:

This is actually pretty tough, as I never considered having a destination wedding... I would love to have my wedding in a stunning vineyard though, so somewhere in California or Oregon wine country would be excellent... or, you know, in the south of France! Thanks for the great giveaway and constant inspiration!

  136. Katie says:

Anywhere that all my family and friends could dance and sing and have a great time being together. It also needs to be some place that is special to me and my man. Currently, that would be half moon bay, CA.... just need to put all of my family on a plane and get them out here from the east coast.

  137. Jessica says:

Our ideal wedding site is right where we are planning it and we wouldn't change it for the world! We are getting married in sunny San Diego where we grew up, fell in love, and live.

  138. Christine says:

I'd love to get married in a remote Caribbean island with just close family and friends. Stress-free planning and fabulous scenery!

  139. Biffy says:

we started planning our destination wedding and (OOPS) decided to move there instead!

Although we have both weathered this crazy economy with jobs intact, it helped us to realize our priorities. See ya, Wall Street; we are Palm Beach bound! of course quitting your jobs in this economy is not the most brilliant of ideas, but to spend more time with each other and have a better lifestyle, it all seemed to make sense.

a free vacation and fabulous wedding invitations would be great, since moving is making our wedding budget non-existent; but all for a life of celebration!

  140. Cristina says:

As much as I am tempted to say that my dream wedding would be on the Tuscan country side or on the edge of the Mediterranean sea... All I can think about is my family in Venezuela and Spain. The future hubbs and I have been planning our wedding for five months now, & I can't express how difficult it has been to know that my entire family will not be able to attend our special day. I'm lucky enough to come from a LARGE family (imagine Italians & Spaniards & native Venezelans together in one room?! This means a lot of talking & lot of goofing around)! Thankfully, my ever-so-wonderful grandparents will be joining us here in Georgia but the rest can't. Therefore my dream destination for us would be in Venezuela with all of my favorite people, either in the mountains somewhere with a spectacular view or next to the crystal clear waters of Venezuelan beaches... perfection at its best!

  141. Laura says:

It's my dream to get married on the beach in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, it's perfection!

  142. Jennifer says:

I grew up in Florida and now live with my fiance in Brooklyn. My parents live in Vegas, my brother in San Fran, and our friends are from all over the place! My hometown isn't really my home anymore, so there wasn't an obvious choice of where to get married. Unfortunately, my father cannot travel very far, and Vegas doesn't really suit our style. So, we decided on SONOMA! It's only an hour flight for my parents and as dreamy of a destination as you can get! We've been wrapped up in whirlwind planning for our July 2010 wedding. It's going to be a small event, just 50 of our closest family and friends. Sonoma is romantic, beautiful, and perfect for foodies like us! We knew the moment we arrived at our venue that this was the place we would be married! Robert is really making all of my dreams come true! I can't believe I finally found the man of my dreams and I'm planning my dream wedding with him. I have to pinch myself every moment! This is so much fun!

This give-away would be another dream come true! I swoon over letterpress and the cool, chic, modern style of Hello! Lucky. It would be amazing to spend 2 nights at the Bardessono Hotel after the wedding to power down and really enjoy Napa! My fingers are crossed!

  143. Suzy says:

My fiance and I were engaged in Napa Valley on 8/8/08 after getting mud baths in Calistoga. Napa will always have a place in my heart : )

  144. Miranda says:

If my hubby-to-be and I were to have a desitnation wedding in any city in the world, I would most certainly choose Paris in the winter. Tropical, warm, laid back? No. Glamarous, chic, and oh-so lovely? YES. I realize that gay ol' Paris is stark in winter time (seen it, done it, froze myself to death!) but I love the bare branches, gloomy weather and overall feel of the city of love. I can see myself hopping out of a beautiful Rolls with a stunning shawl wrapped around me and my simple dress....perfection. Loving this give away, and as always, loving this blog!!

  145. Kendra says:

After going back and forth, and up and down brainstorming hundreds of wedding destinations from Boston (where we live now) to Minnesota (where we met) to the Southern German/Swiss Alps area (where we vacationed once and hiked miles and miles each day) to a tropical location (where we wouldn't have to plan so much) to Paris (our city of love) we have decided that our dream destination city is HOME.

We're planning a sweet/eco-friendly/rustic/local resources/homespun wedding in rural South Dakota (where there are about two wedding vendors in the entire state) because it's home, and we want all of our family to come and celebrate with us. My parents land will be used as the ceremony (by the river bend in the prairie) the dinner picnic style in a meadow, and the party in my parent's barn (that my dad built). We're going to do almost everything ourselves, invitations, flowers, enlist my friend as a day of coordinator, and pray that we can get the outside help we need in advanced to make everything happen. And...we're setting our budget to 5,000. gulp.

    Help. us. please.

We have not chosen a Honeymooon location yet, but I can definitely see Napa Valley as a perfect spot for everything we love, hiking, eating [amazing, local, organic, french, Italian] shopping, spa-ing (okay maybe those last two I love more than anything) and being together. I can not believe how perfect this giveaway is. We would be completely humbled and more than excited to be chosen!!

  146. Kim says:

would love to take my chef fiance to Napa! Boy, do we need a vacation.

  147. Stephanie says:

What a fantastic giveaway! I would be so psyched for any of these!

  148. Iis says:

If I can get married in any city in the world, I would pick Florence, Italy. We would have the ceremony at the Duomo. Right after that we would stroll around the city with all of our bridal party and guests, mingle with the crowd and laugh, stop to watch street painters painting monalisa on the street, clap hands and dance to the music from street performers, then drive up to Piazza Michaelangelo for the celebration dinner looking down the city scenery while the sun is setting. All that, with my wonderful fiance beside me. A dream, indeed.

  149. Kim says:

My dream wedding was 75 people in Napa Valley -- but it would be too difficult to get the grandmas there! we are thrilled with our malibu wedding, but Napa has always been our dream

  150. Liz B says:

I think my FH would really love to get married in Sydney, Australia - where we met and first talked of marriage. I'd have to agree, I think.

Every weekend there would be about 100 wedding parties taking photos at the harbour by the bridge and the opera house. We'd hang around and watch them for a while. We've been back state side for almost a year and we're missing our second home a lot. Our Australian friends have teased they might come to our wedding in the U.S. if it's between school terms.

I also think of London as a second home so I would of course go for that option too. We're hoping we can at least manage a honeymoon in London.

  151. Cynthia says:

My dream location would be Cinque Terra, Italy! It is one of the only mediteranean areas left without the influence of western society...so beyond having the most gorgeous scenery in the world, we would truly get to the most authentic, Italian wedding, which could include a train ride of guest from one town to the other, authentic pesto cuisine, lemoncello, and loads of beach fun in one of the most romantic spots in the world.

  152. Joanna says:

I would have to say Paris is the perfect destination spot to get hitched. It is the most romantic city in the world, in my opinion. Who wouldn't want to get married there??

  153. Jaci says:

I'm planning to get married in my home, the Rogue Valley in Oregon. Not only is the location gorgeous—mountain views, green hills, gardens, wildflowers, orchards, vineyards, and farmland—but it's also where so many people live who I want to be there on my special day. I haven't lived there for almost eight years, but it will always be my favorite destination. And now that I've lived in places far away and varied, I'm excited to give the new people in my life a reason to visit the gorgeous place I call home. Maybe it will become their favorite destination too!

  154. Amber says:

What a fantastic giveaway! You have some incredibly generous friends/vendors.

I would have to say that if I could chose anywhere in the world to tie the knot it would be the city of Amsterdam. It is such an amazingly historic and romantic city. The cobble-stone streets, the mix of traditional and modern architecture, the canals ... and don't get me started on the strop-waffles!

  155. Ashley says:

I am a super girly-girl, but actually have always dreamed of eloping, not the whole white wedding dress spectacle. There is just something exciting and suspenseful about running off to get married. My fiance would have "none of that" though. He has to have family around him to celebrate. So, we compromised and are having 50 friends and family on the beach for our wedding in Cabo San Lucas. We are so lucky to be able to be an a gorgeous setting with the waves crashing and an air of romance (and fun...it is Mexico) and stil have our friends and family around us. So, that is about as perfect of a destination wedding that I could plan...and I did it all without a wedding coordinator. It's fun to see all the details come together!

  156. we got married at Disney which was very fun and magical

  157. Stephanie says:

We're planning on a simple wedding - city hall in SF. :) If I could get married anywhere, and cost wasn't a consideration? It would be on ranch style winery in Napa. There's a gorgeous one tucked up there - the perfect rustic elegant setting.

  158. Shannon says:

I must say Napa Valley, My Hair Stylist was married there in July on a train, and the pictures were beautiful! Looking at the pictures made me feel as if I was actually there.

  159. Allison says:

It's so hard to pick! I think 40 cities immediately sprung to mind and I was stuck thinking "Here, no, wait...here!" But if I were to choose one city in the world to get married, it definitely would be Playa Del Carmen, MX. The multitude of reasons include a love of margaritas, tons of activities, crystal blue water, the laid back atmosphere, and a place where friends and family would have such a great time.

I'd like to not enter the contest as I'm currently not engaged, and there are certainly more deserving commenters - I just couldn't resist answering.

  160. Ashley says:

Honestly, I'm having my wedding at my dream location, I wouldn't do it anywhere else! We're getting married on a cherry farm in northern Michigan. As a destination location for many Michiganders, we love this area because it's where we first fell in love! Leland is beautiful in August and the trees will be full and green. Our barn will hold cocktail hour with a huge chandler that holds ball jars as candle holders. Our reception will be under a tent in the middle of the cherry trees and I'm visioning it to be absolutely perfect.

  161. evelyn says:

i would love to get married in aix en provence. the countryside would be such a gorgeous and dreamy place!

  162. Lacey V. says:

As being a bride myself, and having the privilege to currently work for NapaStyle and Michael Chiarello, this is REALLY a great prize! Bottega is the most EXCELLENT restaurant and here at Napastyle we have the most unique items! With Fall being the most beautiful time of the year in the Napa Valley, Who wouldn't want to get married here???

  163. Hannah says:

Since I grew up nextdoor to Napa Valley, I can't imagine a more wonderful place to get married and my new Fiance and I can't wait to start planning our winecountry wedding. If I had to choose an ultimate destination it would be prague. My fiance and I had the same major in college and our favorite class was Eastern European history. Our Czech professor was such a fantastic story teller that even my fiance thinks that Prague and its ancient history sounds truly romantic. Hopefully some day we will make it accross the pond for a visit.

Since I can't imagine getting married without my family in California, I will have to happily settle on Sonoma County for a destination and would love all the help and inspiartion we can get to make winecountry a little more romantic.

  164. Annie says:

My fiance and are will be getting married in Sonoma County, right over the hill from Napa, next summer. I so look forward to the beautiful winery wedding and just hope everything that is in my head can be translated into reality!

  165. As a Michigan native, Mackinac Island would have to be my favorite! Have you ever seen a wedding done there!? SO many cute options!

  166. Michelle says:

My dream honeymoon is Italy, so I would love to be married in a beautiful villa in Italy somewhere and enjoy the sun and my my family + friends!

  167. Jessica S. says:

This is amazing! The resort in Napa looks incredible. I would absolutely love to stay there. Any bride would be honored to get all this!

  168. maria says:

i'm glad we're getting married outside philadelphia, but i've always wanted to see arizona, so the west coast definitely has its perks! we do not have a honeymoon location yet, so this could be a great option!

    thank you so much!

  169. Ines says:

Our dream destination wedding almost became reality! It's not too far, granted, but still very isolated and beautiful... San Juan Islands, WA! The Puget Sound is the most beautiful region in the Northwest and we both wanted to have a small. open wedding by the water. Instead we get to do it right here in SF. That's not too shabby either and a destination wedding for a lot of our guests... does that count?

  170. oneida says:

wow! this is amazing. i would either say . . . nampa, id on the farm that my fiance grew up on and generations of his family has lived on. he grew up right next to his grandma and his cousins. it is such a peaceful beautiful place and would have made a great place to get married if all of our friends and my family (and some of his) were not down here in arizona.

OR (sorry, couldn't resist picking 2!) for a true destination-y feel, i would pick skopelos. it is an island in greece that my fiance and i spent one day on with friends during a work trip to athens and thess. it was a great break right in the middle of our trip and it was the most relaxing, magical island i've ever been to. it would be amazing to go back there and have all of our friends and family enjoy the quiet water, beaches, quaint shops, and amazing seafood restaurants as well as the little art studio there (we were visiting my friend who was the resident artist at the time).

  171. MaryAnne says:

Wow after reading this post I would definately say that Napa was added on my list of favorite places for a destinations wedding! I grew up near the beach so I always pictured myself getting married either right on the beach or next to it, simple and beautiful, and that is why our wedding will be held in Jamaica! Just me, my fiance, our closest friends and family; it's a definate perfect dream wedding for me :)

  172. Molly says:

Wow! What an absolutely amazing contest! If only I were able to afford of a destination wedding. My fiance and my dream vacation is Australia and Tahiti, so if I were only thinking of myself, I would get married in Tahiti, honeymoon there for a few days after the wedding, then hop a plane to Sydney. Of course, I have family and friends to consider, so having them travel such a far distance isn't feasible. On the brink of another round of layoffs at my company, I'm trying to be incredibly budget conscious for myself AND my guests. Hopefully I can get there some day :)

  173. Kristin says:

what a beautiful giveaway! my fiance dave and i have never been to napa, so it sounds like a dream-come-true opportunity. each aspect sparkles and has a little extra something to make it perfection. thank you for the opportunity to enter!

  174. Lindsay says:

This Jersey shore girl will be getting married at the location of her dreams and childhood: Sea Bright, New Jersey. This was an easy choice for me and my Jersey-born fiance because, as Bruce Springsteen would say,"down the shore, everything's all right!".

  175. Jacqui says:

aix-en-provence. i've been there once and it is the most beautiful place ever! and i'd love to serve authentic french country food at my wedding!

  176. Leah says:

Oh how I would love a getaway to Napa--dream come true!

  177. kim says:

I would love to get married in Montreal. The architecture, the food, the language, the culture - it all seems way to sophisticated and beautiful for words. I'd love to be able to celebrate such a special time in such a romantic place. It seems so far away to be just across the border!

  178. Sarah says:

Wow, you weren't kidding, this giveaway IS amazing! I would absolutely die if I won, this is all the stuff of my dreams!!!

  179. Erin S says:

Napa Valley is by far the most beautiful place I have visited. My fiance and I had our first vacation there and have always wanted to plan a destination wedding in Napa, but have settled on something closer to home due to costs. We stumbled upon Bottega without knowing its famous roots. The restaurant is to die for and the entire giveaway package would be a dream come true!

  180. Sandra says:

Our dream is to get married in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada.

This beautiful region is located 2 hours North of Toronto, and is the picture of wilderness beauty in the heart of the Canadian shield. Tall fur trees, fresh water lakes, granite rocks and wildlife galore....it's cottage country at it's best, and the most beautiful place on the plant during the summer months (yes, I am totally biased)

This is such special place for my fiance and I, as we not only spent many childhood summers at family cottages in the area growing up, but we spent almost every weekend at his family's cottage during our first year of dating .....and it's where we fell in love : )

  181. stacey says:

Anywhere near a beach would be fabulous! Mexico, the Caribbean, Jamaica, Hawaii, Italy!

  182. Sarah says:

Forgot to mention- Napa would be my choice- for obvious reasons!!

  183. Teresa says:

My dream spot to get married would actually just be my home town. We considered it, but passed because more guests lived in my current city. Jensen Beach, Florida, it is. :)

  184. Crystal says:

This is such an awesome giveaway!! My fiance and I dream of our family and friends joining us in italy for our wedding! It seems like such a magical place, warm and sunny and rich in history. Not to mention the food!

  185. Molly says:

Cape May, NJ - it has been one of my favorite spots filled with wonderful family memories. I was just married in Buffalo, NY (my hometown) and thought it was wonderful, but not ideal (I would have loved an intimate wedding and reception on the ocean, especially at a place that has been so special throughout my life). We didn't get to go on a honeymoon, but I'm definitely going to suggest a vacation in Napa Valley - it looks wonderful!

  186. Lily says:

    mallorca! hands down.

napa is amazing as well though. this looks fabulous!

  187. Brandy says:

It would probably be Napa. The weather, the vineyards, San Francisco. It would be perfect.

  188. Anhelina says:

If I could get married anywhere in the world it would be St. Lucia, on one of the highest mountain peeks. The place is beautiful, and exotic!

  189. Emily says:

I'm perfectly content with my autumn Michigan wedding, however, if I could get married anywhere... it would have to be in Reykjavík, Iceland. (And in this dream world, all of my grandparents are able to fly over and attend the wedding too!) The scenery would be absolutely breathtaking.

  190. katherine says:

Oh I would have to say Paris, France. Gorgeous, luxurious, stylish, and so so chic! I would have a small intimate wedding with a restaurant reception! tres fab!

  191. Danielle says:

If I could pick anywhere in the world I think it would be overlooking the beautiful blue waters of Greece. The breathtaking photos, the history, and the Mediterranean flare would be truly special. It's too bad that 200 of my closest friends and family could not come with me :)

  192. LM says:

I would love to plan and/ or have a wedding in Napa, on a farm or vinard, how amazingly beautiful and perfect that would be! There is no better scenary than that of Napa Valley, super romantic and my fav pic for a destination!

  193. Leah says:

Well, my partner and met in the bay area, so we dreamed of having a gorgeous wedding at a small vineyard in Napa owned by a friend of ours. A year ago, we moved down to San Diego so that I could attend law school, and have been aching to return to our San Francisco home ever since. Unfortunately, after Proposition 8 passed in November 2008, my partner and I both have faced the harsh and very painful reality that we will most likely not be able to legally marry in California in 2011. This has been devastating to us, since we were both born and raised in California, and have always dreamed of "making it official" near the city where we fell in love. Since this happened, we have decided that instead of waiting for the voters of California to change their minds, that we would get married in a state that supported our union. We have decided to wed in beautiful Vermont, surrounded by lush green hills, and fall colors for our late September 2011 wedding. I have always loved the idea of having a weekend wedding at a quaint lodge where our family and friends could enjoy a pseudo-vacation of relaxing and leaf-peeping in New England! So our dream destination is Killington, Vermont, at a small lodge right next to beautiful Kent Lake! While California has always been our home, we look forward to getting married (and contributing our business) to a state that is beautiful, quaint and accepting!

  194. Lauren says:

My fiance proposed to me in Napa Valley while wine tasting, and we celebrated at Michael Chiarello's other restaurant, Tra Vigne! So now our Alabama wedding is including all kinds of wine country details. I can't wait to go back.

  195. Anne says:

    Mackinac Island!!! ahhhh :)

  196. Michelle says:

I would love to see Napa for a few days. I have always wanted to explore that area!

  197. Stacy W. says:

If I could get married anywhere in the world, I would go to Palau. It's a small island in the Pacific Ocean, east of the Philippines and south of Tokyo. That place is sooo beautiful and peaceful with the surrounding water.

  198. DW says:

Hmmm, the Maldives maybe. Oooh, or Chicago. Very different cities, I know. :)

  199. sarah says:

An ideal destination wedding for my fiance and I would be Portland, Oregon. We met in college 6.5 years ago and have been in love ever since. Portland has a special place in our hearts because that was our first get away together, although we were poor college students the memories and adventure we had there do not fade.

  200. Jenny says:

Love Hello, Lucky!, Napa, beautiful photos...
Ok, I love it all. That's easier.

  201. Sarah says:

If I could really choose any place in the world I would love to get married in Santorini, Greece. I love the architecture and the white buildings with vibrant flowers and the ocean! Not the mention the wine and food! I can picture my family and bridal party walking down a cobblestone alley to the church and then to the reception. dinner and dancing by candlelight... gorgeous!! maybe my groom would drive us away on a moped at the end of the night... :)

what an amazing giveaway! thanks for the opportunity!

  202. Jacqueline says:

WOW. If I had the opportunity to get married anywhere in the world, it would be a toss up between an autumn wedding in New York City or a vineyard wedding in Northern Ca. I am very happy to be getting married in Laguna Beach - near my home, but a "destination wedding" for ALL of the guests! Ironically, I have a soon-to-be-brother-in-law getting married 4 weeks before I do in NYC :-)

  203. Jess says:

FI and I have been discussing honeymooning in Napa! This is a FABULOUS giveaway!!!
I love love love that we are getting married in our hometown in Western Colorado but considering we are planning our wedding with a bit of a 'Tuscan Country' flare I guess it would be truly a fairytale come to life if we could actually get married in Tuscany (or anywhere in Italy for that matter.)

  204. Jessica says:

My dream wedding destination would be Washington's Yakima Valley. I have never been there but I hear it is beautiful wine country with lucious orchards and fields that go on forever. I imagine that it is breath=takingly beautiful and would be the perfect place for the perfect day.

  205. Holy cow, what a giveaway! I guess I would have to say Prague, Czech Republic. My FH is from Prague. And he and I have never been an what a great way to celebrate his heritage and my future children's by getting married in what is suppose to be a beautiful city.

  206. Jennifer Marie says:

I would love nothing more than the opportunity to get married in Italy, for so many reasons. Much of my fiance's immediate family is from Italy, and my grandmother as well. We have such a love for everything rustic and Italian and even if we cannot afford an Italy wedding, we plan on incorporating it into our wedding somehow. Getting married on the island of Capri, in a beautiful castle or vineyard, or just outside a gorgeous villa would be simply amazing. Italy exudes so much romance and history that the thought of getting married there is just breathtaking.

  207. Maggie says:

Kiawah Island, SC! It is the most beautiful and serene place I have ever visited. Even though it's located just outside of Charleston, SC, as soon as you enter the island {which happens to be a wildlife reserve}, you truly feel like you are in another country! It is my absolute favorite place to be and I would choose to have a wedding there over any luxury resort in the world. The ideal wedding spot on the island is located at "The Sanctuary"...the name is absolutely fitting.

  208. Diana Ponce says:

My dream destination wedding is ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. I have been engaged for 5 years now :O( and still no specifc wedding date... you might be asking why... well we have just been no so lucky trying to plan our wedding.. we both want to celebrate our wedding with our family and friends but at this moment we are paying medical bills off... Also most of my family is in Ecuador so is very difficult for them to come... I know... I have FAITH that in 2010 we will finally get married :O)... and if i could pick a specific place... to tell you the truth I wouldnt be picky as long as my fiance, daugther and those who loves us would be there for this special date in our lifes.

  209. Raffaella says:

our dream destination is in Greece. We got married in Athens this past July. We would have preferred to get married on the island of Santorini, but it was not convenient for most of our guests and would have cost them a lot more as it is an expensive island. We hope that one day we can renew our wedding vows there :)

  210. Katie says:

my dream destination wedding is actually where we plan on getting married... Los Gatos, California. I grew up in the bay area and am a true California girl threw and threw. I am insanely giddy and jumping for joy at the possibility of winning this phenomenal napa package. The cool, crisp, cleanliness Napa represents will surely be present in our wedding too :)

  211. ash says:

My fiance (wow!) and I just got engaged in August, we are looking to plan a small destination wedding with only our closest friends and family - on a very average budget. However, I like to dream big - my ideal place for a destination wedding would be to have the wedding at the Villa Balbianello on Lake Como, Italy. Everyone would stay in Bellagio and then we would water taxi them over for the wedding. They have a "take your breath away" loggia that would be the perfect place to exchange vows, with gorgeous views of the lake and mountains in the backdrop. I've dreamed about this place, but realistically - wherever we decide to get married will become the perfect spot.

  212. Jax says:

LOVE! I could use any and all of these prizes!

  213. Diana says:

WOW! What an amazing giveaway! My dream destination wedding would be a weeklong celebration in Europe. With my wedding & wedding photos taken at the Eiffel Tower.

  214. Sara says:

What a lovely giveaway! Simply a dream!

I would absolutely love to get married Napa Valley, but we have found our own destination wedding in a nearby town of Virginia City, NV. My fiance propsed to me in Virginia City and we can't think of a more fun place to get married! We are so excited to get married in the state where we both were born and in the heart of the wild west!

My bridesmaids and I plan to have the bachelorette party in Napa Valley, so the girls and I will have a delightful time soaking up (or maybe drinking up) all that Napa Valley has to offer!

Good luck to everyone and congratulations on all your upcoming weddings!

  215. Gretchen says:

I would love to be married at Stinson Beach at Sunset on a perfectly cloudless sunset!

  216. Joey says:

I feel as though my life has come full circle. I'm an encore bride and will be marrying the man of my dreams next summer. Our venue has not been chosen yet, but since we are in Atlanta, Georgia and all but his parents live elsewhere, it will be a destination wedding no matter where we choose!

A dream destination would be to have our wedding in Savannah or the Georgia Coast (St. Simon's Island or Jekyll). Romantic and like nowhere else on earth, where moss hangs from the trees and you linger under a canopy of oaks wishing the days there could last forever.

Our first trip as a couple was to Savannah for two days and then to the Georgia Coast for three. One of our favorite memories was having dinner at the Jekyll Island Club resort. While we were waiting for dinner, we took our shoes off and walked hand in hand around the grounds. I especially remember it was the softest grass I had ever felt under my toes!

After exploring beside the river for a while, we came upon the Crane Cottage and saw the most beautiful wedding reception ever. Outside in its fragrant gardens, the bride and groom were dancing. We both mentioned it was such a magical night for a wedding. And we looked at each other, and at that moment I knew..just knew..I had met the one I'd spend my life with!

I found out later he was thinking the very same thing. And the story continues and where we marry is the next chapter!

  217. Kelly says:

the Amalfi Coast for sure! a beautiful coast and delicious food. perfection.

    xo
    Kelly

  218. Jessica says:

My dream destination wedding would be on a vineyard in Tuscany, Italy. I've been to Italy and love the romance that's intertwined in the culture and landscape. My fiance and I both love drinking wine, so it wold be fitting.

  219. Kristen says:

I would want to get married in Rome, Italy.
We are planning to go to Italy for the honeymoon, but don't think I could get married so far away from our family and friends!

  220. jcristg says:

I am actually getting married in my dream destination -- Kiawah Island, SC -- next summer! We'll be married on the marsh at dusk and I absolutely cannot wait.

  221. Lia Capri says:

My fiance and I are having a destination wedding in a dream location: Tuscany, Italy! (We live in Brooklyn NY - also an amazing place for a wedding) My fiance is originally from Italy and his family is there so we said "why not?". It is a gorgeous setting and will allow us to spend 4 days in an intimate setting with close family and friends. All of the giveaways are amazingly awsome and incredibly wonderful and being the first person I know to have a destination wedding outside the Carribean I could really use the helpful tips and resources offered!

  222. Tricia says:

Oh, this is a hard one, and I have two answers: one far away, and one closer to home. The faraway one would be Italy, for the weather and the wine and the scenery, and because the food is exactly the kind of food I could eat every day of my life. Figs, olives, salty white cheeses ... oh, I could go on and on.

The second one would be Madison, WI, since that's where my fella and I met, and because it's a really lively, yet manageable town. Guests could easily walk the whole downtown, and see beautiful lakes and eat delicious food, from French to Thai to food from Nepal. As an east coaster, I was surprised to love Madison as much as I did. And now that I'm writing this, I'm getting nostalgic!

  223. Vanessa says:

I'd love to honeymoon in California ... it would be a great break from the cold, winter weather in the midwest!

  224. betty lee says:

    okay. "comment"

actually, this would be a perfect honeymoon. i'm new to the site but love the daily inspiration. keep up the great work.

  225. Karen A says:

My fiance's (and my future) last name is Kelty. When we were juniors in college, we spent a semester studying abroad together in Plymouth, England, exploring Europe every chance we got. My parents visited one long weekend and we flew to Scotland, rented a car and drove all over. It was so rugged and beautiful. On one of the highways, we saw a sign for a small village called Kelty, We obviously had to check it out. It was so cute and picturesque.

I'd love to have a rustic wedding on an estate in Kelty, Scotland. We both have Scottish ancestors. It would be so special for his family and mine. I'd love to incorporate local flowers and our families' tartans (which we also found while we were there) into the decor.

  226. Amanda says:

Our dream destination for our wedding is Lake Tahoe. On a lakefront lawn. Perfection!

  227. Gabrielle says:

I met my fiance in the beautiful town of Boulder, Colorado while attending college at CU. I must say, Boulder has some amazing things to offer to everyone that visits, and it definitely has a special place in our lives. To have a destination wedding here amongst some of the most breathtaking mountains I have ever seen, the Flatirons, would be a dream come true! We are recent graduates embarking on this journey of life together, and to return to a place that holds so many memories for both of us, would truly be amazing.

  228. Kari says:

If I could get married anywhere in the world it would be Sunset Beach, North Carolina. My fiancee's family has been going there every few years every since he was born with their entired extended family (10 sets of Aunts and Uncles, cousins, grandparents!). I was able to go last year and experience the week of uninterrupted quality family time. It is a small island with a one-lane bridge...very quiet and relaxing and a great break from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

  229. birdie says:

My dream destination IS our wedding destination - New Orleans! I'm happy for the opportunity to bring new people into the city and show them the charm and character that my fiance and I love so much!!

  230. Lindsay says:

Savannah, GA is the most blissfully chic city in all of the South. It also happens to be where we are having our destination wedding next October.
Celebrating the title of "the most haunted city in Savannah", residents take pride in the city's ghostly past and richly historic downtown. Not only is it steeped in haunted history, but it also offers historic/haunted walking tours, pub crawls and trolley tours for our guests to experience. The city is teeming with artist (Savannah College of Art and Design), brilliant photographers and designers, as well as the most amazing food the south has to offer!!!
We really wanted our guests to experience a place most had never been while celebrating the start of our lives together. Savannah has 27 squares that were originally designed to keep the city from burning down. they are now used for art fairs, gatherings and of course, weddings! We are having our ceremony in the lush and quiet Washington Square. Our guests will then be transported by the Historic Savannah Trolley company to the MOST delish 5 star restaurant, called The Olde Pink House for our reception.
Savannah has everything! From historic downtown (with no "open container" law, yum) right on the Savannah River to its beautiful coast and marshland, its the perfect place to create new memories with everyone you love!

  231. Erin says:

My dream destination for a perfect DW would definitely be Richmond, Virginia! Sounds strange, but that's where my fiance and I went to college and, more importantly, where our relationship really began. In my dream world, we'd have a fall wedding at our college's chapel - the leaves would be gorgeous and the temperature crisp, but not cold. The most important feature would be taking pictures at the gazebo on the campus lake, the scene of our first kiss - school legend says if you kiss someone there, you'll marry them; worked out for us!

  232. Lisa says:

My fiance and I are getting married in Lake Tahoe which we are both very excited about but if I could choose ANY destination in the world, it would Perugia, Italy or a similar town in the Umbria region.

  233. Lindsay says:

What a fantastic give away! Amazing. I heart Napa :) My fiance and I grew up together - so it's fitting for us to be planning a hometown wedding. HOWEVER, if I were to plan a destination wedding, I think I would have to do something in the beautiful countryside outside of Charlottesville, Virginia.

  234. Chelsea says:

I would LOVE to have my wedding at a location where they filmed the movie "Il Postino" (1994)... The character who plays Pablo Neruda tangos with his wife along the patio overlooking the water and it takes my breath away every time!!!

The location is seen here at the 2 minute mark: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YarKIwfW4Bc&feature=related

  235. ettiene says:

If I could have a destination wedding i would probably pick Italy. Wine and food are two of our favorite things adn I have heard there is no better place to eat and drink than Italy. I have been dying to go ever since my mom went to a destination wedding there a couple of years ago. It looks like one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

  236. Julie says:

I am super excited to be planning our wedding in the mountains of Colorado, but if I could pick anywhere, it would be Cannon Beach, Oregon. The coastline is so beautiful and the weather there is nearly perfect in the summer.

  237. Alexis Harris says:

My fiance and my dream wedding location would be in Zacatecas, Mexico. While I was studying there during college, we stumbled upon the most amazing old cathedral that had been turned into a museum. It had falled into disrepair, the roof collapsed and vines and grass growing throughout.... gorgeous! This was years ago and even then, when we weren't engaged, we told eachother that "someday" we'd have to get married there!

  238. Heather M says:

I grew up in the Bay Area, just 20 minutes from Napa. My fiance grew up in Philadelphia and went to school in Florida, so many of our guests have never been to California. Now that we both live in Washington, D.C., Napa would truly be considered a destination for most of our guests. What once seemed a dream of getting married in the Napa Valley, is now a consideration for us as we begin our wedding plans. Napa embodies what we enjoy the most--the delicious food and drink and the warmth and natural beauty of the landscape. Napa is classic simplicity and what we hope to share with our guests.

  239. Kerri says:

If we could get married anywhere in the WORLD it would be in Italy! A countryside setting would be ideal and my closest family and friends! Fabulous!

  240. Courtney says:

    What amazing giveaways!

  241. Ivana says:

First of all, I was gasping when I read this and scrolling through the list of the generous vendors! This giveaway has a mix of the most amazing vendors. We have been wanting to go to Napa, too. Beyond magnificent!

If I could dream up a perfect wedding, it would be in our home country Indonesia at the Infinity Chapel, Bali. The Infinity Chapel is such a chic, elegant, modern spot in the middle of the exotic, luscious, classic, and culturally rich Bali. The glass triangular chapel is located on the beachfront and has breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean. Our wedding look would be a blend of our traditional culture and contemporary look and feel. It would be a small family and friends affair, all-intimate and all-laughter. The rehearsal dinner could be a very simple pool party or picnic on the beach. And then the wedding reception could be at the hotel's floating garden, under the shade of the Balinese gazebo, with a beachfront view.

That would be such a perfection for us. The wedding of our dreams! :)

  242. Susan says:

Our dream destination wedding is reality - we're getting married in Lake Placid, NY in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. I grew up summering there and my father grew up there. It has something for everyone - the mountains, the lakes, unique restaurants and bars, and Olympic athletes from every sport! But most importantly, it has exactly what we wanted - it reflects our personalities. We're so excited to celebrate there for many years to come.

  243. Micaela says:

I would love to get married in Cancun, Mexico or any of the beautiful places there! All the destination weddings I've seen featured on here look so beautiful and full of love. Although planning a wedding is so much fun, I think many times the real meaning of marriage isn't captured. It would be so special and neat to have a wedding on the beach where the weather is perfect! To me being in a place like this sets the perfect mood for a wedding. I can only imagine getting married in a place where you feel like everything is perfect and to me it would make you feel so free of everything. My fiance and I are getting married in my small hometown, Snyder Texas!! I can't wait!

  244. Lili says:

Turtle Island in Fiji- we would have the whole island to ourselves and our guests for an entire week. ahhhh....

  245. Lindsay says:

Holy cow this is huge, huge huge!! My fiance proposed in Yontville on our first day in Napa Valley. We are wine and food lovers and this was a dream vacation for us. We fell head over heels in love with the area and were it not for our large family would have planned our wedding there in a heartbeat. Instead we are planning an Oct. 2010 wedding in Boston, but I'm working very hard to try to fit in a suprise honeymoon stop in Napa. I want to suprise my fiance with this gift on the day of our wedding. He has been itching to get back to Napa since we left, and this give away package would make it totally do-able for me. Please, please help me out. This is seriously a dream come true and would make me the most loved bride out there!!!

  246. Christine says:

I would love to get married in Spain at the Alhambra Palace gardens. Surrounded by beautiful landscape and perfectly picturesque mountains, it is the furthest thing from average. Not to mention, when you're surrounded by such natural beauty and decoration it makes it that much easier to focus on the couple instead of other things!

  247. Nakita says:

If I could get married anywhere it would be in Laie Hawaii. I have fond childhood memories from that little town. I wish I could fly all of my family and friends there.
The giveway are simply amazing. Napa is very lovely.

  248. Stephanie says:

I would love to win this! I can barley afford a wedding, never mind some of these prizes!

  249. Kate says:

Oh we would LOVE to be married in Tuscany, probably in the fall. Gorgeous scenery, delicious food and wine and a laid back atmosphere. It would be so easy to relax and enjoy the fact that you are married in such an effortlessly beautiful place. And there would be so much for everyone to do and see! The Italians know how to enjoy life.

  250. Rozzy says:

My fiance Chris & I were engaged May 15th... Living in Kelowna, British Columbia Canada... We call it our "Canadian NAPA"... This wedding package & especially the couples retreat in the real Napa to celebrate our love, would be a DREAM come true for us!

  251. Lauren McGlothlin says:

Well, since you said ANYWHERE - as unrealistic as it is I am going to have to say Lake Como, Italy. What an amazingly beautiful place to be married! I just picture lots of wine, great food, a breezy lake and dancing for hours at my imaginary lakeside boathouse (or something similar... I won't be picky) :)

  252. Stephanie says:

While we are getting married in my hometown of Fresno, California, if I were able to pick any destination it would probably have been Napa, believe it or not! The combination of fantastic food and wine, beautiful scenery and the proximity to the summer camp where my soon-to-be husband and I first met (when we were 15!) would be so perfect for us. We love to hike with our dog and spend time in the kitchen together in our free time, and the chill Napa vibe is just so "us"! Plus, as two native Californians, born & raised, there is no place more beautiful in the world to me.

  253. robert says:

Following the dreams of our destiny / destination wedding....

    ...Anywhere under the skies above,
Could be the place for us to confide our love,

But we choose for our magical day,

Is right there in sunny fields wine country, napa valley.

We've made some plans, many many phone calls,
Picked a venue, bakery, caterier and all.
But still have many more items on our list to cross before that special night falls.

Winning this contest would help with some of the nitty gritty,
And many props for the inspiration dropped throughout our process from Stylemepretty!

  254. Meg says:

Well my fiance and I live in DC now and this is home. So we are planning our wedding here and can't wait to share our city with all of our out-of-town family and friends.

With that being said, we took a trip to Napa a few years ago and went bananas for it! I can taste the Schramsberg now...

  255. Julie says:

My dream wedding would be in Yountville, CA. It is just the sweetest, little town in Napa Valley that is filled with amazing restaurants, wineries and luxurious resorts. The weather is always beautiful and warm about nine months out of the year and the people are so friendly. My fiance and and have often celebrated our anniversary at the Villagio Inn and it holds so many special memories for us. Our families would so enjoy staying there. As a chef, I greatly admire Thomas Keller, and have been lucky to eat at two of his three restaurants there. We are still saving up to one day splurge at the French Lauandry. It would be such a treat to be able to have his food at our wedding.
Alas, the real world sets in, and Yountville is a very expensive little town. Instead, we are renting an old mansion in Santa Rosa and planning a wonderful, backyard, DIY affair. Hopefully, we'll be able to take a little side trip after the wedding to show our visitors around Napa Valley. I heart you, Yountville!

  256. Oh, why can't I be a bride? It all looks amazing!

  257. Kristen says:

If I could get married anywhere in the world, it would probably be at an older manor house in the English countyside. Something like the house in the movie Gosford Park or Remains of the Day. Beautiful grounds. Elegant setting. Very private. Thanks SMP and friends. What a fantastic giveaway!

  258. Ariel Gordon says:

My dream destination wedding is actually somewhere up in the Bay Area. My fiance is originally from San Rafael and he has a lot of family that wouldn't be able to come to the wedding is we had it where we live now (LA). We spent all last night looking at venues online in Napa, Sonoma, and Calistoga and this one is beautiful!! It's just what we're looking for. Fingers crossed :)

  259. Shannon says:

I'm incredibly excited about our wedding location, but all things being equal, the little town of Axpe located between San Sebastian and Bilbao in the Spanish Basque country is about as perfect as it gets! Nestled in a valley between dramatic mountains with charming old stone buildings and a beautiful town square, it's incredibly romantic. Not to mention that Axpe is home to the restaurant where I had perhaps the best meal of my life - Etxebarri!

  260. Amanda says:

Oh my, I would most definitely say Jackson Hole, Wyoming! Spectacular mountain scenery, a great, welcoming, laid-back attitude, and fantastic vendors (like the super amazing Carrie Patterson) would make Jackson Hole a dream-come-true destination for us! My fiance and I are both geologists (and avid mountain-enthusiasts), so the rocks would be a huge plus too! :-) Plus, with the Teton Mountains and Yellowstone just minutes away, guests would have no shortage of exciting things to do! We love it so much there, that we are trying desperately to work out the logistics and get married there next year--wish us luck!

  261. Terra Cooper says:

What a graet giveaway! We are looking at doing a wedding in Germany soon but with a vineyard type feel.

  262. Abigail says:

If I could pick anywhere in the world to get married, it would be where we got engaged - outside of Cascina Garona Winery in the Barbera D'Asti region of the Piedmont area of Northern Italy. It was the most amazing, truely breath taking place I have ever been, and I would love to be able to share it with of our friends and family. In reality it would be way to expensive for everyone involve so we are going to incorporate a little taste of where we got engaged by having a destination wedding at a winery in North Carolina that is owned and operated by an Italian family. One of our favorite activities is wine tasting and learning about new wine regions, and Napa Vallye is certainly next on our list of places to visit!

  263. Michonne says:

Wow, what an idea!!!! Napa is absolutely divine, from the gorgous pictures that you know you will capture, to the lovely weather, and architecture!! If I could have my dream wedding at any location, it would definately be in a historic home, there are a bunch in Phoenix that I would give my right arm for!

  264. Bina says:

My dream wedding would be at the Glacier Point Amphithreatre in Yosemite National Park. The first time I saw it I mentioned to my boyfriend that it would be an awesome place to get married (in general, not specific to us). Two hours later when we were sitting on a rock overlooking Yosemite Valley he unexpectedly popped out an engagement ring and asked me to marry him! It was awesome! Here is the setting: http://emilive.com/viewer/3114/11.html

I am actually doing an opposite of a destination wedding: getting married in my hometown of Morgan Hill, CA, and trying to have at least 80% of the vendors be from Morgan Hill also (it is a small town). I am getting married in an outdoor amphitheatre there, so hopefully will be able to capture some of that special feeling.

  265. Kat says:

If we could get married anywhere, it would be in Big Sur! Love the scenery and amazing views.

  266. Kristen C. says:

I'm pretty happy with my small, rustic Rhode Island wedding (and we're planning our HM to Napa!), but if I had to choose a city, I'd choose Cork, Ireland. Since I have been engaged and planning my wedding, I find myself missing my grandmother, who died when I was 16, and my mother, who died when I was 24, more than ever. As I get older, I catch glimpses of both of them in my own face in the mirror every so often and it catches me by surprise. I have a fantastic father and brother, but no sage older women - no maternal connection - anymore in my life. My grandmother was born in Cork and immigrated when she was 4, and both she and my mom were strong, proud Irishwomen who fought courageous battles against illnesses that took them too soon. And when they were both gone and I had my own cancer battle to fight two years ago, I drew upon my "fighting Irish" strength to pull me through. I'd love to be married in the land where we strong women came from, to experience our heritage firsthand.

  267. For my love and, we knew that there was only one place to get married... Las Vegas. Before we moved to the East Coast we spent the majority of our weekends trekking back and forth along the 15 to steal some moments together amidst the clanking of quarters, staggering lights and equally busy rugs. Not to mention that was where we found ourselves as a couple. Can't wait until next year for our wedding to begin!

  268. Daryn says:

Dream destination? Oh, it's a dream, alright...but I would LOVE to have a wedding in the Tuscan region of Italy. However, after looking at some of these Napa pictures, an old winery in Sonoma or Napa could definitely fill in!

  269. Liz says:

My dream wedding is in Carmel, which is where I am in fact getting married in May 2010. I grew up visiting my grandparents there and was lucky enough to climb the Cypress trees, play on the beach, and look at all of the "gingerbread houses" in town. When my fiance and I started dating I found out that his grandmother lives in Carmel near my grandparents, and his parents had met at a wedding in Carmel and married there. He also grew up visiting his grandparents and climbing the Cypress tress. In addition to all of the charm and beauty of Carmel, it is the one place where we have a family connection (he is from the west coast and I am from the east coast). We are so happy to share such a beautiful place and fortunate enough to have our wedding at our dream destination spot.

  270. sarah m. says:

My dream destination would be Mykonos Greece...it's beautiful!!

  271. Brittany Lindvall says:

I would love to get married in Hestra, Sweden. It is a quaint little town complete with beautiful scenery, long-distance relatives, and lots of good memories. However, any city that has my honey in it is truly where I want to be, so we are having a garden wedding at a gorgeous park in Scottsdale, Arizona. :)

  272. Hai says:

My ultimate destination wedding would have to be in Santorini, Greece. I've always wanted a rustic wedding as well as a tropical one. Santorini would offer both. My fiance and I are big on views and location. Santorini has amazing views and great food. The background would offer beautiful and memorable pictures. It would be stunning!

  273. Karen says:

Our dream destination is Jenner, California, on the dramatic and magical coast north of Point Reyes National Seashore where the Russian River meets the Pacific Ocean. My fiance and I happened upon it by chance last month while travelling for the wedding of some good friends in Sebastopol. We were intrigued by Bardessono when we walked past it the next day in Yountville, and for a split second, we entertained whimsical thoughts of moving there from our home (and wedding location) of Washington, DC. A girl and boy can dream! Thank you, SMP, for connecting your readers with so many fantastic sources of inspiration.

  274. Lane says:

There are so many amazing spots out there to tie the knot but I would have to say my ideal spot would be my parent's backyard. I know it sounds a little cheesy but it truly is one of my favorite places on earth. My parents live on about 5 acres in the country right outside of Fresno,Ca, in a house my mom designed and my dad built almost 30 years ago. For my sister's wedding my dad converted what was once a horse pasture into a lush space of green grass, beautiful trees and old fashion street lights. It is such an fabulous spot full of warmth, love and many, many fond memories. And to share such an important day surrounded by friends and family in such a wonderful spot is why I would choose my parent's backyard over any other spot to tie the knot.

  275. Kristin says:

Oh! What a treat giveaway! Me and my fiance have always talked about going to Napa Valley! We haven't had a vacation in almost 4 years and what a great time this would be! Swooning, here in NJ, ready to hop on a plane :) Not to mention what a lucky lady I would be to get invites from "Hello Lucky" - gorgeous but out of my budget!

  276. Emi says:

I would get married in Bali. The coast, and the beaches there are absolutely beautiful, and some of my family members are nearby in Indonesia.

  277. Heather says:

My dream destination wedding would be somewhere in Spain - someplace beautiful, historic, and rustic. I love Spanish food, and I adore Spanish architecture and style. We're a Southern California couple, so to compromise, we're having our wedding at the Casa Romantica Cultural Center & Gardens in San Clemente. It's a historic, 1920s Spanish style home built by Ole Hanson, who created San Clemente as a "Spanish village by the sea".

What an amazing giveaway! Thanks for sharing this opportunity with us SMP! :)

  278. Sharon says:

I'm actually starting to plan my Napa Valley wedding for next June. I recently made a visit there to meet with vendors and I knew I made the right choice- Napa Valley is everything you'd want for a wedding site: from the beauty of the vineyards to the fresh and local food to the amazing weather. Not to mention- local flowers that would make any wedding goer swoon. I could think of no other place to be married. Being from the gritty city of New York, alluring Napa Valley is my idea of THE wedding site and I can't imagine the most important event of my life to take place anywhere else.

  279. Michelle says:

My dream destination wedding would be on the island of Salina near Sicily at the Hotel Signum. We visited last summer and it is just a beautiful, magical place -- the perfect setting and size to reserve for a long weekend and have a small wedding with your closest favorite people. We would have a fantastic dinner with lots of red wine at the hotel's ivy covered al fresco restaurant, then dance all night on the rooftop patio overlooking the ocean which has an amazing view of the volcano on the nearby island of Stromboli. Just perfect.

We ended up deciding to have our wedding at home in NYC so that all of our family and friends will be able to attend...which is not so bad either! But if we are talking destination, this would be my pick ;)

  280. Katelin says:

These photos are so inspiring! I'm thrilled to be having our wedding in Austin, Texas but if I could dream up any place of choice, I think I would choose the hills of Tuscany. I love the quaint feeling of the unique, small towns, the incredible seas of yellow sunflowers and the local influcences of wine making and food that is to die for! The mix of natural beauty and cultural influence is right up my alley.

This is an awesome opportunity and I would love to be a part of these fabulous treats!

  281. Karlynn says:

What wonderful giveaways! My fiancé and I are planning an outdoor wedding. Having grown up on the bay, I want to incorporate that in some way. Quite frankly I couldn't care less about where we have it as long as there is wind in my hair.

  282. Angelica says:

My dream destination wedding would be right on the beach on the island of Boracay, in the Philippines. My family is from the Philippines and my fiance and I were there last January. We passed a beautiful wedding right on the beach at sunset -- inside a bamboo tent with candles flickering everywhere. The bride and groom were glowing. You could smell the breeze off the ocean mingling with the scent of the indulgent feast of roasted pork and fresh seafood. I would spend the evening dancing in my bare feet in the sand and just drinking in the love of my new groom, family and friends. Aaah... that would be heaven.

  283. April says:

My dream destination wedding would probably be in Cinque Terra in the Italian Riviera. Then I'd finally get the chance to explore my Italian roots -- and wouldn't grandma be happy?! But the Napa Valley winery where we're actually having our wedding next year (the gorgeous V. Sattui) sure does come close and is a lot more convenient since we live in SF. And who knows? Maybe we'll make it to Cinque Terra for the honeymoon instead!

Thanks for hosting this amazing giveaway, SMP! I'll be crossing my fingers!

  284. Mary says:

It would be in Rome, Italy. Classic, timeless, eternal. With fabulous gelato, pizza, and wine. How could you go wrong.

  285. Ashton Variot says:

What a fabulous giveaway! My fiance visited me in France a couple of years ago and we fell in love with the Bourgogne countryside. A summer vineyard wedding with a cocktail hour in a wine cave and dinner under the stars - ah, how magical! We're living on love after graduating with degrees in photojournalism and having our wedding on a farm outside of Louisville - France will have to wait...

  286. Julia says:

I live very close to Napa and couldn't afford my dream wedding here so we are planning it for my next favorite place in the world, Kauai!! The romanticism of an island wedding on a beach with breathtaking views has me daydreaming everyday! I LOVE your website, am completely obsessed with it and have gotten many wonderful ideas from it. THANK YOU.

    ~Julia

  287. Daisy says:

As a young girl, I always dreamed of Napa Valley as my ultimate destination for my wedding (only after seeing "a walk in the clouds" of course). I dreamt of it often and now I'm so lucky and blessed to actually be able to have my wedding in Napa July 2010! The gorgeous vines, the delicious eats, the smell of wine aging in oak barrels... Ahhhh! It's a feast for the senses! I’m only 9 months away and look to SMP often for inspiration from awesome brides. I'm a DIY bride all the way, for my love of crafts and art and because it's budget friendly ;) I will send pics of my Vintage Napa Wedding when it’s all said and done. Thanks for all SMP!!!

  288. Lauren says:

With out a doubt I would choose Positano, Italy. It is the most serene, romantic, and magical place I have ever been and I would love to share it with my fiance overlooking the gorgeous Mediterranean saying our vows. Alas, overlooking Lake Travis in Austin, Tx will have to do for now but a girl can dream!

  289. Tammy says:

My dream destination wedding would be on a beach somewhere. I grew up on Lake Michigan, and would love to get married there, with the reception in a historic building or venue!

  290. Emily says:

Our dream destination wedding would be in Big Sur at the Henry Miller Library! But the reality will likely be a destination wedding for our guests in our new home of Madison, WI in the barn-like pavillion of Olin Park, overlooking Lake Monona! Guests will be coming to the middle of the country from Boston and the Bay Area!

  291. Emma Lou says:

I am so happy to be getting married next summer at a gorgeous little inn on the coast of Maine, where I grew up, but my first choice would have to be the backyard of my grandparents' house in Dartmouth, Mass. Unfortunately, my grandmother sold her house a few years ago as it was too big for her to manage after my grandfather passed, but I still think about it. My grandmother is an amazing gardener, so the flowers were always gorgeous. We had a huge half-moon red-brick patio, roses climbing up the house, a stunning red leaf Japanese maple tree...and a short walk through the woods to the beach. Heaven. I miss that place so much! It is also where my mother and all three of her sisters got married. It would have been too perfect!

Thank you so much for this opportunity; I cannot even express how overjoyed my fiance and I would be to win this!

  292. Megan D. Dick says:

Hands down, Scotland. My family roots are in Scotland, and I have a romantic visions of an intimate ceremony on a hill.

  293. Kait says:

We are having our wedding in my hometown on Cape Cod, I'm so excited to share this special place with my friends and family. This is such an incredible offer for such incredible wedding treats! Thank you!

  294. Katie Cumberland says:

I would absolutely choose a destination wedding in Seattle, WA on Alki beach looking towards downtown. I lived there for a while and always pictured a small ceremony there and the reception downtown..my fiance and I are getting married in New York so all the family can be there in August 2010.

Keeping my fingers crossed for the giveaway, it would be so amazing to win :)

  295. Kim B says:

My almost-hubby and I fell in love in Napa and have been dying to go back. Our first thought was to have a destination wedding there, but it made more sense financially to stay in town and we knew more of our friends and family could share the day with us. We are still incorporating some wine elements into the wedding, including a featured wine from our life changing trip to Napa. We are also avid watches of Top Chef Masters (which Michael Chiarello was on) and would be thrilled to go to his restaurant!

We would absolutely love a trip back to Napa as Mr and Mrs. :)

  296. Carrie says:

I am currently planning a dream wedding in Baltimore, Md. where my fiance and I met and currently reside. But if I had to choose another destination I would pick New Orleans. We are both huge music fans and are especially fond of funk bands and other New Oreans style music. And we have made several trips to the city for the annual JazzFest... which I happen to think is the most glorious event in the world :) This year, however, we won't be attending as it falls on the same weekend as our wedding. But it got me thinking about ways to incorporate New Orleans into our day ... the culture, the food, and of course the music.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to win this fantastic prize. I think Napa Valley would be a dream destination for a honeymoon :) Also thanks so much for creating this wonderful website. I check it about 10 times a day for updates and have spent hours looking through the archives. It has provided so much inspiration for my upcoming wedding.

  297. Adrienne says:

I would love to have a destination wedding on the beaches of Bohol, Philippines. Blue, clear waters, and a secluded beach would be perfect. I came here once during my last trip and I would fell in love with it's beauty. I'd like to share that serenity with my future husband and close family and friends.

  298. Inge Y. says:

I will get married in my FI's hometown in Green Bay, WI. However, my first choice would be by a lake in Madison, WI, where I went to school. Either way, guests will be coming from all over the world and we'll be surrounded by the loved ones. I cannot wait!

  299. Shana V. says:

My fiance and I are getting married in Sonoma in March of next year. It would be so awesome to take a mini-honeymoon in Napa after the big day. We are huge wine aficionados - we live in San Francisco and spend so many weekends up in the valleys. In fact, the rabbi we're asking to marry us asked us what our hobbies are, and we honestly said wine-tasting! And of course - what bride doesn't covet Hello Lucky's invitations??

  300. Alicia says:

Yosemite Valley. The granite cliffs have a way of making you feel very small, yet completely at the center of the world. For a crowded park it is amazing how secluded you can feel. The old lodges give you a sense of history, but have all of the modern conveniences. I would do something small and intimate. Instead of a morning-after brunch, I think I would drag my family and friends on a short hike to the spot where Ansel Adams took some of his most famous photographs. They all might hate me for making them go somewhere so far away from an airport, but Yosemite simply wouldn't work in the middle of a bustling metropolis.

  301. Rachel says:

We are currently planning a wedding in Islamorada Florida and we are so excited! Our first pick, however, and where we would still love to get married if we could afford it, would be at this amazing farm in Pittsfield, Vermont (it's near Killington). Bonfires and fall foliage = breathtaking.

What a great giveaway package! Good luck to everyone!

  302. Lauren C says:

I am getting married at my dream desitnation - the Florida Keys! We will be married next fall on the water surrounded by family and friends. A dinner at Michael Chiarello’s restaurant would be a special treat for my Top Chef-loving fiance Jason.

  303. Fran says:

When I got engaged, my father asked me, "if i could get married anywhere in the world where would it be?" When I told him, "Mexico," he said, "well then that's where you have to do it." I knew that even if we could only afford to elope there, it would be worth it! If it weren't for my dad (they eloped to Hawaii 30 years ago) helping me dream outside the hotel ballroom box, we wouldn't be going for it. So glad we are!

  304. Joanne says:

I am getting married in Napa in September 2010 and so excited. My guests are staying are bardessono so it would be great to win this package!

  305. Amber says:

My dream wedding location would be overlooking the ocean - anywhere in California, they have the most beautiful wedding locations!

  306. Liz says:

My fiance and I are getting married in Vail, Colorado and have friends and family coming from 14 different states! We met in Lake Tahoe so it was important for us to commit to each other in a mountain destination since that is where we began. We are trying our best to pay for the majority of the wedding to help my parents as much as possible so the invitations would be HUGE for us...both financially and creatively because we want these to drive excitement for everyone attending.

The amazing Napa giveaways would be wonderful to give my parents as a 'thank you' for all their love and support during this special time of planning! I can't afford to do much so it would be incredible to give them a vacation of this caliber. I might have to tag along on the Bottega Restaurant date - my mom and I are addicted to all things Top Chef!

  307. Laura says:

We are getting married in my dream destination next October in Oaxaca, Mexico---We fell in love with Oaxaca four years ago, and ever since it has been my dream to get married in this church:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santo_Domingo,_Oaxaca , and this October we'll be there for a whirlwind planning trip. I can't wait--I think Oaxaca is the ultimate dream destination!

  308. Heather says:

We are getting married in my hometown located north of San Francisco but if we could get married anywhere, it would be in Milan. A year ago the FI and I passed this small church with a little garden on the outskirts of Milan which was beautiful. Ours will be perfect though, my home town filled with all our friends and family.

This giveaway is amazing, we would be beyond excited if we won!

My dream destination wedding would have been on a beach somewhere in Hawaii, light flowy dress, casual white shirt and slacks, no shoes with sand at our feet. (I've been married for almost 4 years but love love love going on this site because everything is so beautiful). But enough about me, I'm leaving a reply in hopes of winning for my younger sister who will be getting married on a beach in Hawaii in July 2010. She wants to have the wedding of her dreams but needs a little help because she recently just started working as a Nurse and my mom recently lost her job after working for 20 years so will not be able to contribute. If anyone deserves winning a prize such as this, its my little sister! She's a hard worker and deserves the best of the best!

  310. Nicole Marie says:

Wow, thats quite a giveaway. FI & I are planning a wedding about 6 hours away in Lake Mary, FL. While it's not exotic, its prefect for us!

  311. Sara says:

My fiance is a HUGE wine fan so we toyed with the idea of having destination wedding in Napa. But we soon realized we could not afford it and that it was more important to share it with our close friends and family then to elope (we both wished we had the money just to take everyone!) Especially since our wedding date is my great grandparents, which we choose in memory of them even if it is a Monday!
This is a great giveaway and even if I was to just get the Hello Lucky invites I would be beyond blissful!

  312. Brittany says:

I just started wedding planning and my dream wedding destination is right where we are getting married in Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio! My finance's family lives in PA and mine in Ohio and New York. We have some family traveling constraints and luckily Geneva is the middle point for all of our friends and family. We will be traveling the farthest from Chicago! The fiance loves the water and I love the vineyards making Geneva the perfect match for us.

  313. Mary says:

My dream wedding location would be Monhegan Island. Monhegan is an artists haven off the coast of Maine. No cars are allowed on Monhegan (not the most practical of wedding locations!), the coastline is rocky and the terrain rustic. My family and I used to visit Monhegan every summer and it holds many amazing memories for me.

  314. Pauline says:

My dream wedding destination would have to be in beautiful, rural Kwazulu Natal, South Africa at the orphanage where my fiance and I met while volunteering ! 2nd dream destination is Algonquin Park, in Ontario, Canada which is where we have decided to have the wedding ( at a log cabin in the middle of nowhere!) As my family is from Canada ( his is from the UK, which is also where we live now) it makes it much easier for at least half our guests. One day though I hope we can have a small ceremony in South Africa with the amazing kids who introduced us and who now mean so much to us.

  315. Kate says:

My fiance and I are both from Massachusetts but are living in Los Angeles. I think my dream destination wedding would have to be in the beautiful and vibrant city of Boston so that we could be surrounded by our family and friends without having to worry if they were all able to afford traveling to our destination - they already live there! It's proven to be quite difficult having to decide where to have a wedding when your family lives 3000 miles away. I guess it doesn't really matter where we have it as long as we are with them, celebrating and creating memories.

  316. Lindsay says:

Charleston, South Carolina. I love the old southern history, the people, the architecture. So many pretty pictures!

  317. Liz says:

My fiance and I bought our first house and got married in our town of Huntington, Vermont, so we were so thrilled to find a venue right in town where we could get married. For us, home is the perfect destination!

  318. Tarah says:

This one is easy! Our dream destinaton weddng would be on a lake in the Canadian Rockies. My fiance and I love hiking and kayaking, but due to his busy work schedule, we have never been able to do anything more than a day-long trip. This would be ideal for both a gorgeous ceremony wth our close family and friends (I'm thinking a dusk, candlelit ceremony on the dock) and a relaxing, intimate honeymoon!

  319. Sarah says:

If logistics, $, and my fiance were no consideration- I would pick Paris. My fiance would likely vote for Kiawah Island/Charleston. I think somewhere in California would be lovely- Big Sur or maybe Wine Country (although I've never been to Wine Country- that's where we will be honeymooning.)

  320. Erin says:

My dream destination would be a place where all of our loved ones could come and experience the most exciting weekend of our lives with us. Where ever in the world that may be.

  321. alysha hernandez says:

I would have to say . . .Italy ..specifically chinquatera italy. absolutely stunning and beautiful and the Italians are so amazingly nice. perfect weather and food .. you can't go wrong.

  322. Amy says:

I actually have 2 dream destination wedding spots that I am absolutely in love with. The first would be in Jamaica and the Ritz Carlton. The second would be in Napa Valley at one of the resort spas. I have always dreamt of an intimate wedding that would act as a relaxing vacation for everyone that I love!

  323. rosey posey says:

wooooooooow this looks amazing! who wouldn't want to go to the the Bardessono?!?!

  324. Michele says:

If we could get married anywhere it would be Savannah, Georgia. My fiance and I took a trip there a couple years ago on spring break and we completely fell in love with it. We love the food, the architecture, the people, and entire culture of Savannah. I just imagine a romantic Southern wedding under the spanish moss. We toyed with the idea of a destination wedding but it's just too far for our families to travel.

What a fantastic package to win!

  325. Katharine says:

Wine country was a given when my fiance and I started looking for our perfect local for our nuptuals. Can't wait to see how it all comes together. Loving all of your options and suggestions.
Luckily it's convenient for all of our family members as we are expecting a crowd for the festivities!

  326. KimB says:

Hmm, my dream destination wedding is San Francisco. BTW, I love Heath Ceramics!

  327. Amanda says:

Amazing! Our's would be Santorini Island in Greece. The colors, lifestyle and food just kill me.

  328. jwoldt13 says:

I'm originally from California but now live in Chicago, where I met my fiance. We have just begun wedding planning, and while Chicago is where we're currently looking to get married, Napa would be our ultimate destination wedding! Our last time in Yountville we actually went to Botegga, and Michael Chiarello came out of the kitchen to make sure everything was okay with our order. We would love to have our rehearsal dinner there, and the ceremony at BR Cohn winery. Can you tell that I've already planned my dream destination wedding in my head?

  329. Mehgan says:

Im very excited to be tying the knot in my home town of Minneapolis, MN. But if I got to choose another city, it would be San Francisco where my fiance is from. Its too expensive for us to get married out there and most of our friends and family are here (except his immediate family). We have spent a lot of time out in San Francisco with his family and Ive come to love the city so much. It always feels like home when Im out there. The people are so nice and the city is very alive. We never run out of things to do there. I think a destination wedding in San Francisco would be amazing.

  330. anna marie says:

My destination wedding would be Bali, Indonesia, my home country :)

  331. katie says:

We are smack dab in the middle of planning our destination wedding and the timing couldn't be better, We still need our invitations! Not to mention we don't have a honeymoon planned yet so all these Napa locations could be the answer to our problem!!! WOo HOo.
But to answer the question about what destination is the best, I am going to say Tulum, Mexico. That is where we are getting hitched in January, and although I truly don't know yet if it is PERFECT, I gotta cross my fingers and believe it is, otherwise I need my deposit back! LOL.
Pick me and you'll be on my Christmas Card list for life :)

  332. Katrina says:

  333. Tessa says:

Wow, this is one heck of a giveaway! Yay to the lucky winner!

There are so many beautiful places in the world that this is a hard choice. I think it would be dreamy to get married on California's central coast, especially Big Sur where you can't help but soak in the rugged, natural beauty of the state.

  334. Kevin says:

I would most definitely get married on the shores of Lake Michigan in Chicago. It's so beautiful and temperate in the spring and fall!

  335. JL says:

If I could get married anywhere it would be Malta. My mothers family is from there and I still have distant cousins, etc. who live there. I've seen so many pictures of the beautiful rocky cliffs against the blue ocean and it has always made me want to go there. I don't think there would be a bad picture with that kind of backdrop!

  336. Jaime says:

Our dream location is Boothbay Harbor, Maine. There is an adorable stone chapel right where the front door opens up onto the ocean and you can hear the waves breaking on the rocks. Perfect for an intimate wedding!

  337. Chelle says:

i just celebrated 8 happy years of marriage but, If I could plan my wedding all over again, somewhere along the coasts of Irealand or middle to northern California would be my ideal destination.
You may be asking yourself - she is already married, why does frequent this site for brides?
The answer is simple.....SMP is not only an obsession for brides but for people who value and appreciate good design (that's me).
SMP is clean & classy, full of inspiration and I look forward to updates.

  338. Celine says:

This is so completely amazing! Being half French, my dream is to get married in France, at the Chevre D'Or in Eze, France. What a dreamy place, perched on a cliff, with awe-inspiring, breathtaking views. I can taste the delicious food and wine in my mind, and wouldn't even mind the 10lb I would gain as a result! Thanks for such a gorgeous giveaway.

  339. JulieK says:

I grew up in the Bay Area, but only made my way to Yountville this past summer and it was AMAZING--by far the cutest (and most delicious town) in wine county. Just started to think about wedding locations, but Yountville is definitely at the top of my list!

  340. Sally Yang says:

    Wow! What an amazing giveaway!

If I could get married anywhere, it would be a chateau in France. I love the feeling of romance in France and lets not forget the wonderful food in France. I envision a chateau overlooking rolling hills with my closest family and friends. I would get one of those huge wooden tables for everyone to sit around and enjoy good wine and food.

  341. Abby says:

My dream wedding wedding location would be the V. Sattui winery in Napa. We live in the Bay Area, but it would be major jaunt for both of our extended families, all of whom live on the East Coast. I adore V. Sattui, and I think it is one of the most beautiful wineries I've ever seen.

  342. Katy T says:

Wow, great giveaway! Oooh I'd love to get married in Napa, Palm Desert or Italy! :)
    Thanks!

  343. Sarah says:

Justin and I are planning (well, procrastinating/planning) our May 2010 destination wedding in the mountains of NC. This giveaway is perfect: invites, photo consultation and an hour with Alison for me and some Napa-action for Justin (not that he doesn't love my constant wedding blog reading). But, if I could pick destination, it would be the sleepy Sanibel Island in FL. That's were he proposed...

  344. Stacey Sampo says:

I always thought I would want to be married in Paris - a city that just oozes romance. If we could afford it, I would fly all of our family and friends to Europe for a fabulous celebration, but in the end, I have come to realize that my dream location has really little to do with locale. It's the place where the love of our wonderful family and friends will envelop us on our special day - and that can be anywhere.

  345. Josephine says:

Paris of course! It's just the most romantic city in the world!

  346. Erin says:

My dream destination would be Lopez Island, in the San Juans in Washington. It's just lovely, especially in the summer. My parents got married there back in the 70s on a piece of property they owned and were building a cabin on. I grew up going to the cabin for summers, but by the time I was born they had moved to the mainland.

  347. Jaimi says:

My dream destination for a wedding would be Hawaii -- it would be amazing to have the incredible beaches and ocean as a backdrop to a romantic wedding. I went to a wedding in Kauai two years ago, and it was so beautiful. I would love to do my wedding in the same place!

  348. Liz says:

This is so hard! Probably Paris even though I've never been there it seems like the most romantic city in the world and thats just where I would want to be with my future husband.

  349. Shyra says:

Simple: Florence, Italy. My fiance's mother immigrated to New York City when she was ten; she's never been back to her motherland since then. She talks about her childhood in Florence as if it were a dream. It would be nothing short of amazing to bring the entire family to Italy to celebrate life, history, culture; and to marry the man of my dreams.

  350. Leyna says:

My fiancee and I are avid travelers and have been to 12 countries in the past four-years. We are currently living out of the States as well. Travel is an incredibly important aspect of our relationship...we fell in love seeing new places, and it was in Barcelona that he proposed! I would love to get married in a village in the south of france. Every time we travel through Europe, we stop off in France for a few days because there's a certain aura, relaxation, and vibe that just relaxes us. But the honeymoon? Africa AND Southeast Asia! My fiancee is Indian, and that is one place that we still haven't been together!

  351. klcarr says:

Definitely Greece. My future husband was born there, and I've yet to see it. The ruins would be a gorgeous background. OH-and the Mediterranean cuisine! MMMMM.

  352. Emily says:

If I could get married anywhere in the world it would be Tuscany. There just is something about fresh food, fresh air, endless surroundings, wine and love that make it the perfect spot.

  353. Bethany says:

If I could get married anywhere in the world, it would most definitely be Inish Mor, the biggest of the three Aran Islands off the coast of Ireland. Rugged sea-cliffs, an old stone fort, fields of wildflowers, clear water and Irish hospitality = perfection.

  354. Tricia says:

DINGLE, IRELAND. Hands down. I studied abroad while in college and had the unique chance to visit this charming little town. The town is situated in southwest Ireland - on a natural harbour below Slievanea mountain on the large Dingle peninsula, which lies south of the River Shannon and north of the Ring of Kerry. BREATHTAKING. And the folks in Dingle?? Friendly, witty, and welcoming. The only reason I initially visited? A bad break-up. I had to go after learning that Julia Roberts went to Dingle and escaped the attention of the world’s press after ending her engagement to Kiefer Sutherland in the early 1990s. Smart girl. Great town.

  355. Jessica says:

Definitely Boston in the winter. I love the fairy tale look the city gets when it's covered in snow and the silent, snuggly feeling everything seems to take on.

  356. Lauren says:

I want to travel to Costa Rica and all of Sub-Saharan Africa, but it would be fabulous to get married in DC where I went to school. We aren't far from DC but it works out best for our families if we get married near our home.

  357. Carrie says:

My fiance and I are both from Pennsylvania. However, we began dating when I was in college in Maine (he was in PA). While I was a student, we travelled all over Maine together, and we have gone back every year to camp since I graduated. In particular, we both love Acadia National Park (think Bar Harbor- north of Maine), particularly Isle au Haut. I would love to get married somewhere around there because the place is so meaningful for both of us. Plus, we want a fall wedding - what is better than cool, crip air in September with the foliage in Maine with fresh apple pie?
But, on Napa - my friend recently honeymooned there and now swears by the area. We would love to go - for our honeymoon, a visit, etc.

  358. Julia says:

Easy. My hometown of West Palm, FL. A great destination year round!

  359. Kaitlin Schubert says:

I feel so blessed becuase I am able to marry the man of my dreams at my dream venue...Malibou Lake Mountain Club in beautiful Agoura Hills, Ca! It is GORGEOUS!!!! It is a beautiful garden setting surrounded by amazing mountains and a fabulous lake! Congrats to whoever wins and to all the brides out there, I hope you have an amzing wedding and all your dreams come true!! XOXO

  360. Michelle says:

Love this giveaway. If I could be married anywhere, it would be somewhere GORGEOUS with lots of pine trees and beautiful mountains. Maybe Glacier National Park in Montana, or somewhere in Colorado, Wyoming or New Mexico :)

    Michelle

  361. Heather Haaland says:

I would choose somewhere in the country in Ireland on the amazing cliffs overlooking the ocean!

  362. Paulina says:

My dream destination would be San Miguel de Allende. Their is so much romance and elegance in this quaint little Mexican town. For a hopeless romantic like myself it would be the perfect mix of history, tradition and elegance. Having been born in Mexico City, I could incorporate my heritage into the wedding theme not to mention the acquitecture would make for some AMAZING pictures!

  363. Yael says:

we live in NYC - and to keep things interesting, we're planning on getting married may 2010 in Sonoma - sight unseen... hey, mind as well start our future with some uncertainty and adventure!

  364. Lisa Krause says:

My dream destination wedding is going to actually take place in ten days! My fiance and I will be wed at Stones Throw Winery in Door County, WI on October 3. A gorgous Napa style winery in the very heart of the Door penninsula. The wine and cheese reception will be at the winery in thier beautiful, brand new Vino Vino tasting suite then it's on to The Mission Grille for dinner and more wine! The Mission Grille was once a charming chapel complete with stained glass and a private room for our small wedding party! I couldn't be more excited or happier with our destination wedding (though Napa would have been fabulous!)

  365. Michelle says:

I live in the San Francisco, and while I think the Bay Area is stunningly beautiful, I'd want to get married in Sedona, AZ. This is a place with red mountains, deep green trees, and bright blue skies. It takes my breath away!

  366. we are planning a rustic style wedding in Baltimore but if I could choose anywhere in the world, I think I'd love to get married on a farm in Ireland. My great grandmother was 1 of 2 sisters her parents could afford to send to the states so I have a lot of family left over there and I think it would be so cool to get married on a farm over there... it would be very sentimental and complete my rustic look!

  367. elisabeth grace says:

Amazing! I'm in DC and have never been to California... the hotel would be an incredible first trip West for my fiancee and I and we can use all the help we can get for the wedding.

    It's all beautiful! Besos!

  368. Kathleen says:

I feel like this post was written for me! All the vendors are so amazing. We are planning a wine country wedding. Our dream destination would be Sonoma, CA. We've been to Napa/Sonoma 3 times over the past 3 years and even though we are on the East Coast, along with both our families, we plan on getting married in Sonoma because it reflects us as a couple. Thank you for highlighting these wonderful vendors!

  369. Mollie says:

Without a doubt my dream wedding would be in the voneyards in the Loire Valley. It is such a magical place with castles, winding rivers, and amazing food and wine. Everything about the french country side to me is romantic. I imagine long tables filled with baquette and cheese with soft accordian music wafting the the background. And of course my new husband and I would go to Paris after the wedding!

Since that wasn't exactly possible we are hopeing to be planning out wedding in Sonoma next year, which also feels very magical to me! No solid plans yet, but I am working on them!

  370. Angela P. says:

If I could get married anywhere, I think I'd have a beachside wedding on one of the Caribbean islands. I've never been to any of them, but I love the idea of a warm breeze in my hair and sand between my toes as I say 'I do' to the one I love. Although I won't be in the caribbean when I get married in July 2010, I think I'll be happy saying those vows right here in Nashville.

  371. Katie says:

Any city in the world would actaully be a little tiny town in Wyoming called Dubois. My betrothed has long ties there and we got engaged while on a horseback ride high in the mountains. We would have loved a wedding in the meadow at the fabulous ranch where his adopted family lives. But, sadly, the trip would have been too costly for many family and friends to make. I still dream of walking across that meadow, with the snowcapped mountain where I said yes behind us. Alas...

  372. Tiffany says:

Palacete de Cazulas in Andalucian Spain.... it is an original moorish palace in the hills between Granada and the coast. I can imagine something simple, intimate and personal; just closest friends and family, wild flowers, spanish guitar and the glow of hundreds of white candles.

  373. Audrey says:

We are thrilled to be tying the knot in Winnabow/Wilmington, NC and wouldn't have it any other way. The city's old southern, historic charm has inspired the vintage details we hope to incorporate into our day. Second choice would be the Mediterranean. We are so enamored with this area that we're hoping to honeymoon there.

I am particularly excited about the food/fine dining giveaways in this offer - what amazing gifts these would be for two foodies like ourselves!

  374. Yoon says:

The Emerald Coast of Florida is a beautiful destination!

  375. Anywhere in the world??? In the interest of thinking of my fiancee, I would have to say his family's farm in Riceville, Iowa. There is literally NOTHING there but corn fields, besides an aunt and uncle who are very dear to him and were a huge impact on his life. They don't travel so it would be a way to have them join us in our wedding and have a "destination" wedding all in one.

  376. courtney says:

The Cinque Terre - hands down. That water, that weather - it can't be beat.

  377. Marcie says:

A New Zealand Winery. We are obsessed with wine, wineries, and Savignon Blanc from Marlborough New Zealand. Dying to get there, would be Insane to get married there!!

  378. Whitney says:

If I could get married anywhere it would be a on a big ranch with a huge barn for the reception. It would have to be somewhere the weather would be guaranteed to be sunny though. My fiance and I live in the pacific northwest and have managed to find a great spot with a barn but it's at the beach and we have no guarantees on the weather. Cross your fingers.

  379. Jen says:

My vision was to get married at an Irish castle, spend a week or so there reveling with family and friends (fiance is of Irish stock), and then honeymoon in Greece...

I even did a little research, but we ultimately decided we'd rather have more people attend, which meant staying close(r) to home...

  380. Kelley T says:

My dream would be on the shore at sunset in the Cayman Islands.
It was a possiblity, but we don't want to do a destination wedding because some of our most important friends wouldn't be able to attend.
So we are getting married at Malibou Lake Mountain Club- it is beautiful!!!! Can't wait!

  381. Justine says:

The city of Taormina in Italy would be my absolute dream locale for a wedding -- the ceremony could be held in a church on a breezy hilltop overlooking the beaches and shimmering blue waters, then the intimate group of guests could meander over to a warm and wonderful restaurant along the cobblestone streets to celebrate with al fresco dining and dancing through the night. Our own wedding next summer will be held outdoors right outside of Washington, DC. Not a bad runner-up, I think!

  382. Jessica says:

We are getting married in State College, PA, because we are grad students and have no time or money to plan a wedding somewhere else! But, if we were able to, I would like to get married in the little catholic church in uptown Oxford, OH. It's the town where we first met and started dating.

  383. BVsmurfette says:

Oh this one is easy to answer!
Easy because we're actually getting married at my dream destination! France! My fiance and I will be tying the knot next May in a lovely Chateau outside of the wonderful city of Lyon in France. I can hardly believe that I'll be walking down the "aisle" on the grounds of a CHATEAU (hellooo!), and getting to eat amazing French food in the gastronomic capital of France! Lyon is really a dream come true for me :)

  384. AA says:

My fiancé and I are lucky to be sharing our special day with a small group of our nearest and dearest on a tiny island off the coast of Maine called Monhegan. We discovered this beautiful place on a road trip and immediately fell in love! We’ve been going back there for three consecutive years now to hike and take in it’s amazing natural beauty. We think it’s such a great place and we can’t wait to share it with our friends and family!
    Thanks for the offer!

  385. Katie says:

What a great giveaway! It just kept getting better and better! My dream destination would be Chicago. My fiance and I met in Chicago and we lived there together for four years. About 6 months ago, we loved to LA to pursue some opportunities that haven't been as financially fruitful as we had hoped! Because we met there and fell in love there, he proposed in Chicago when we went back this summer for some friends wedding. When we started planning, we thought getting married in Chicago would be a no-brainer, he's from there, I lived there for 8 years and it's a city that holds a lot of history for us. But because of our guest list and the fact that we're both unemployed right now, we couldn't make it work without stressing about money every single day for the next year. We decided to get married in Iowa, in my hometown instead. The best part is that we'll get to invite all of our family and friends and not be crunching numbers every moment until the wedding, but it would've been nice to get married in a city that means so much to my fiance and so much to us as a couple.

  386. Shari says:

I would love to get married at a summer camp where we could enjoy an entire wedding weekend with all of our friends and family. I also love the idea of getting married at a vineyard.

  387. abbey says:

Wow-eee!! I've just starting to plan my wedding in Sonoma/Napa for July 10, 2010. We have guests coming from all over the world - my fiance is European with friends around the globe - and I can't think of a better place to showcase our lifestyle to them. We're turning the event into a weekend-long party, with a welcome party the night before and a Fika party (a Swedish tradition of coffee and sweets) the day after. I can't wait to blend California wine country with Swedish traditions, and some stylish French flair to make things interesting. Doing all this on a budget is the tricky part - but I've already got some good ideas from Style Me Pretty and other sites.

Great giveaway, I'd cross my fingers but I'm too busy researching welcome party locales. Good luck everyone :-)

  388. dkg says:

Oh, I'm so excited!!! If I could get married anywhere it would definitely be in CA. A rustic/outdoor wedding...a barn and a big mature tree! Wildflowers, bare feet and beautiful weather! mmmmmmmmmm, that's my dream :)

  389. Erica says:

I am getting married in Ohio next summer, but I am going to a Napa wedding next fall and definitely looking forward to that! It looks amazing!

  390. Kristina says:

This is such an amazing give-away. My fiancee (will be husband in two months) are doing a marathon in Napa Valley in March - it would be so amazing to use this package to celebrate our first marathon (and 3 month wedding anniversary). My dream location would be Rome- the history, architecture, & romance of the place is unparalleled.

  391. lauren f says:

I've dreamed of being married in Antigua, Guatemala since I first visited 6 years ago. There are these ruins of a cathedral which are now completely over grown with tropical flowers. The ruins have been enclosed by a functioning church so ceremonies can still be held in the ruins. It's absolutely breath taking. Unfortunately, we don't think that we can have our wedding there due to the amount of travel that it would require for our grandparents.

    Thanks for this great giveaway!

  392. Kristen says:

My dream location is a toss-up between where we are having our August 10th wedding--my hometown of Coronado, California-- or my fiance's hometown, a little village in Austria called Straden. Straden is in the Southeast part of Austria, and it is a small village atop a hill overlooking a valley of other small villages nestled into hills of vineyards. Yes, I'm serious! It is so beautiful!!!

Logistics-wise, it turned out to be much easier to do it in my hometown of California. We figured more family would be able to come, and his family and friends were so excited to come to California for our wedding. Plus, hotel options are limited down there.

Coronado is also a gem, so we feel very lucky!

    Good luck everyone:)

My fiance and I plan to wed in Texas. He's from New York. I'm from Southern California. So naturally, we are getting married on a ranch in Texas, haha. We met in the middle, in Austin, Texas, where we will make our new home, and it just feels right to have the wedding where we will embark on our co-joined life. In some ways, it is a destination wedding for both of us, and definitely for most of our friends and family. The ranch is so serene, and we're going to camp with our friends and family after the wedding. Great prize!

  394. Jen says:

My dream destination would be in Ireland where a ton of my family lives. It feels like home to me and it would mean so much to have them all there. Instead mine will be in NY in my hometown so lots of other friends and family will be there. I have never been to California and have always wanted to go to Napa, what an awesome giveaway!!

  395. Alexandra Cartwright says:

Napa actually was our first choice and dream location for our wedding. We envisioned an intimate affair, with good wine, the romance and ambiance of nature, family and close friends. We have decided, however to have our April, 2010 wedding in our hometown in Texas. It would have been too difficult for my 83 year old gradpa to make the trip all the way across country from Pennsylvaina to San Fransico and Napa. So, when it comes down to it, a dream wedding for us is anywhere we can gather to share our special day with the people who mean the world to us.

  396. Ali says:

Actually, Napa — or wine country in general — was our dream destination inspiration for our wedding we're planning for this May. But since we're on the East Coast in Atlanta, we happily settled for an Appalachian winery wedding setting in Dahlonega, Georgia!

(As long as all our friends and family can be there, the destination will truly be a dream come true.)

  397. Ashley R says:

Holy cow, indeed! What a wonderful giveaway!

If my FI and I could be married anywhere, it would probably be in the Blue Ridge mountains in North Carolina. We share a mutual love of NC and my FI is an avid outdoorsman. The setting would be so lovely! As it is, we will be getting married in our hometown of Dallas, surrounded by family and friends. And isn't that true perfection?

  398. Cherry says:

I've always wanted to get married at a chic hotel in Las Vegas. I'm planning a vow renewal/wedding we never had and this would be such a great opportunity to get some great ideas. Love it!

  399. Lisa E. says:

We're dreaming of another California Wine Country -- Santa Ynez Valley! Our favorite location was supposed to be sending our contract yesterday and instead send an email saying that he's reconsidered and is not accepting our offer. So I could use a new rejuventation in my June wedding planning!

  400. Morgan says:

Hands down my #1 destination wedding spot would be Majahuitas Resort, about 40 minutes south of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. You can only get there by boat, there are no roads, just a very private little cove with fabulous snorkeling. There are 8 private open air casitas (small cottages) and the main lodge, and you can rent out the entire place for your wedding for only the cost to stay there + alcohol! The resort is eco friendly, without plugs for your hair dryer, but is the most beautiful spot I've ever visited in my life.

  401. Cat J says:

I love wine county! Napa, Sonoma, Anderson Valley, or Lake County would all top my list. Amazing giveaway. Plus, Napa Style . . . I always say "Napa Style, no, this is my style!" - Dork I know!

  402. Sara says:

Hello. I love this site and I was very excited to see this giveaway! I'm reposting in hopes that I can have a chance to win this amazing prize! If I could pick anywhere to get married?? It would be where I'm already getting married, Indianapolis, Indiana. Sure it would be nice to get married on the beach or at a private resort (who am I kidding, it would be amazing) but this is where we met, our relationships started, and where we want to plant our roots. We want to start our family here and for me to get married here is like a dream come true. Sounds boring, but it's true!! This is somewhere that holds a lot of sentimental value and I always imagined I would get married somewhere that meant something to myself and my fiance. Thanks to you and all the vendors for this amazing opportunity you've given us all! I love this blog!!!!!

  403. Rebecca Kim says:

I would love to get married on a cliff side of Jeju Island (small island off of the coast of south korea). My fiancee and I are korean and this place would allow all our relatives in Korea to witness our wedding. Also, it has been my parents dream to go to Jeju for their loooong belated honeymoon since they weren't able to have one when they got married. This way they can kill two birds with one stone :) It would be a very extra special wedding for them and for us as well since we would be presenting them with such a great opportunity/gift.

  404. Catherine says:

My fiancee and I are going to be married near near the mountains, about an hour from where we live. But if we could get married anywhere, we'd get married in Italy, to celebrate culture and our families.

  405. Alice says:

My dream destination wedding spot - unequivocally Napa!!! The wine country boasts not only great food and wine, but the beautiful scenic backdrop and the romantic setting of vineyards and wineries are unparalleled in this country!

  406. Amy says:

I've always wanted to get married in Paris. I've always wanted a destination wedding but unfortunately money and family logistics make it too difficult.

  407. mercie bouck says:

i would love to get married on the amalfi coast in italy overlooking the sea. beautiful view, delicious food, and my lovely soon-to-be husband. that would be wonderful!

  408. Susan says:

If we could get married anywhere in the world I would have to pick my grandmother’s tree farm in Pennsylvania. It is filled with so many warm memories from my childhood. From cutting down Christmas trees on her property to cool Easter mornings spent in her back yard searching for eggs, it is by far my security blanket, the one place that I really feel at home and where I can truly get back to my roots. It is so quiet and peaceful, it really gives you the opportunity to just admire the beauty of nature and really let go of any troubles you thought were of importance, but really are not. When I visit, I feel it lets me simplify and appreciate those things that truly are number one – family. It may not be everyone’s destination of choice, but it works for us! Because of the fact that I am from Pennsylvania and he is from California, we decided to host our day where we live now which is Phoenix. East meets West and we met in the middle  We had not planned on taking a honeymoon because of the costs involved so the Napa trip would be a dream come true.

  409. Katie says:

I would love love love to get married in one of the Cinque Terra towns in Italy!! Beautiful :)

  410. jessica says:

our dream location is a barn in vermont, during the fall. we both lived there at the same time, but never met until we both moved to philadelphia. we currently live in california, but vermont is where both of our hearts lie and it would be wonderful to show our families and friends why we are always gushing about how amazing it is. we are still venue hunting, fingers crossed we can make our dream a reality!

  411. Mimi S says:

If we could get married anywhere in the world, we would fly all our guests to the Tuscan countryside and get married in a small, old church! :)

  412. jduck84 says:

Our dream destination wedding would be on the North Shore in Duluth, Minnesota, at a rustic lodge somewhere along Lake Superior. Everything is so peaceful and beautiful there: the air, the smell of the trees, the huge expanse of the lake.

  413. Katy says:

great giveaway!!! Destination wedding dream: Monaco ... the ultimate in luxury and amazing natural beauty and vistas all around.

  414. Kelaine says:

If I could get married anywhere in the world, I would go to India. I lived there for a bit, and it still has a piece of my heart. I would love for my fiance to see it there, and for my family to get a glimpse of one little moment in my life that has made me the person I am today! Not to mention some wonderful wedding attire, food and fun :)

  415. Nicole-Lynn says:

If I could have a destination wedding any place in the world I would choose Jamaica! I just adore reggae music, the beautiful, calm blue water, and have always wanted to visit! My fiance and I are beach lovers and would get married over looking the beach, red stripes in hand at the reception, and dancing the night away to fun reggae music under the stars! I think it would be such a dream!

  416. Ji Kim says:

Words cannot describe how perfect this weeks' post/giveaway is -- my future hubby and i have fallen in love with Napa from our very first visit there and have made it a point to go as often as we can. in fact, our wedding will be in napa at v. sattui winery!! a mini-destination wedding, if you will, since most of our guests are from the bay area. but we're planning on making an entire weekend out of it, packed full of amazing eats, sights, and of course - wine...

  417. Fiance says:

Ok so I'm not the bride - but I am the one who hears EVERY idea my beautiful fiance has for her wedding. She talks about this site weekly - I am even privy to "SMP" - lol. She showed me this wedding posting today and needless to say I read on about the contest offering. Just for the heck of it I will do it - my fiance and I had our first date at the bar where we met - and while it's all not that different or exciting - it was just about the best date I ever had. She was all NYC classy - coming from work from type thing and it was a real dive type bar - she was as cool as anything. I would choose to get married in this dive hole bar and just make the whole place awesome - this way I can see her the same way I saw her the day we met - this time in her wedding dress.
Good luck to all you ladies - and I hope you have as much fun planning your wedding as my fiance does :)

  418. CHRISTY says:

WE WOULD LOVE A LITTLE GET AWAY FROM THE RURAL NORTHERN WISCONSIN HOME WE HAVE.

  419. Wendy says:

Of all the beautiful cities to choose from, the place I'd love to get hitched is not glamorous, not fancy and by no means expected. Nellysford, Virginia. Never heard of it? Not surprising. However, this small town in the Blue Ridge is very near and dear to my heart. I've been going here with my family for nearly 25 years. The memories I have here are so fond and particularly treasured. My father especially adored this area of Virginia, so my memories of him here are very cherished. He taught me how to ski, ride my bike and numerous other essential life skills, in this quaint town. This is important to me because my father passed away from a long battle with cancer with I was 17. While my wedding day will be the best day of my life, not having my father present will be truly heart-breaking. Getting married in Nellysford would be wonderful and help me feel a closeness to him that I will sorely miss on my special day.

  420. Carrie says:

I so hope to win this giveaway! If I could choose ANYWHERE in the whole world to get married, I think I would choose some tiny town in Ireland with a reception at a little pub or something. Although, I AM getting married in my second favorite destination choice: PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA! My fiance and I met there and love it more than anything!

  421. brklynchloe says:

I didnt even haven to think twice if I could have my dream destination wedding it would be in Havana, Cuba. My family is Cuban and I grew up in Miami. Sadly most of my family is abroad and will be unable to attend my wedding. For legal and logistical reasons its impossible to have a wedding in Cuba. It is a truly beautiful island with everything from Beaches to Mountains. The Architecture is to die for and the there something romantic (albeit sad) about the preserved in history quality to some of the cars, places, and buildings. My fiance is from a large Greek New England family. The task ahead of me will be be mesh the two very strong cultures in an elegant formal affair.

  422. Laura says:

We are getting married in Florida where we are from, which is a great wedding location to start with. If we could do a destination wedding anywhere in the world, it would be Lake Oconee, GA where he proposed fireside by the gorgeous lake. It was truly romantic, and a beautiful location we would love to share with family and friends.

  423. Lindsey says:

Our dream wedding would definitely take place on one of the more secluded beaches of the Outer Banks, in North Carolina. I've always dreamt of renting a big beach house for friends and family, and everyone walking to the ceremony along the beach! North Carolina is where we met and fell in love, so it would reflect us as a couple. However, our small wedding in Madison, Wisconsin on the lake will be wonderful (and much more affordable).
This giveaway is so fantastic and incredibly generous. It would be so perfect for us because we've been thinking of planning our honeymoon in California, renting a car, driving along the cost and staying in Napa, and stopping in San Francisco to visit friends. This would make our honeymoon really spectacular!

  424. Carolyn says:

As cliche as it may sound, I've always pictured myself having a quaint vineyard wedding. I have recently visited Tuscany and I would love to share an intimate gathering of friends and family there, it would be just the most perfect and beautiful place to spend such a special day!

  425. Marisa says:

My fiance and I both love Hawaii- beautiful beaches, sunset, and fun! This is where we are actually planning our destination wedding next year. We think each island has its own beauty and charm and are planning to have our wedding in Oahu. Napa Valley is beautiful and makes a great backdrop for a wedding as well :)

  426. Kristi says:

I've always pictured myself having a intimate, cozy, warm, and sophisticated wedding out in a south GA pecan orchid with a reception following in an old, open barn...late October would be the perfect month!

  427. Kristi says:

Funny... Napa IS the location for my dream wedding, and when I was down there this past june, I fell HARD for the amazing and fabulous Bardessono Hotel, where I stayed. Very cool giveaway...

  428. Mandy says:

I'd get married in this old barn near my parents house in NC - it's not flashy or posh but simple and it makes me think of family and old friends. It's in such a state of disrepair right now that it would be impossible - we'd spend have our budget just fixing it up but it really would be the most charming place for an outdoor wedding a reception. If you walk about 500 yards from the barn you can look down over the smokey mountains - it always makes me feel like I'm floating when I'm up there. And what a fun wedding experience it would be!

  429. Michael Ord says:

My late wife and I were married in Edgartown on Martha's Vineyard and if I would ever remarry I believe that Napa would do just fine.

  430. Meredith says:

My dream wedding doesn't have a specific location, as much as it does a specific "feel." Weddings are a tradition, embodied by a ceremony, signifying two people making the most important commitment they will ever make to another person and their friends and family supporting the couple in that commitment and celebrating the momentous occasion. Unfortunately, the celebration is minimized by the stress of planning the whole shindig, and, on the part of the guests, how to get there, accommodations, etc.

That's why my dream wedding would undermine the stress of event planning by underscoring the celebration part. We'd rent a massive beach house(s) for our friends and family. There'd be a big backyard roast on Friday night, after which there'd be a bon fire and hot chocolate (maybe with a little splash of something extra), so our friends and family would have a chance to share stories and get to know each other. Then on Saturday, after a day at the beach, we could all get together for a massive party to celebrate the happiness of two people committing their lives to each other (fine... the party would be preceded by an exchange of vows... but it's really more about the celebration). And then off for a another day of relaxing with friends in the sun before heading back to our real lives (aka work). If I had to pick a beach house, maybe somewhere on Harbour Island because there's something whimsical about pink sand beaches. But honestly, anywhere that my friends and family could take a vacation from the real world and would feel at ease to celebrate mine and fiance's happiness would be just fine.

  431. Jessica says:

I would seriously consider getting married in New Zealand if I could convince my family to fly there! I've never been able to go but everyone I know that has just raves about it. It's definitely on my top ten "places to see" list and I can imagine having a beautiful wedding there.

  432. sarah r. says:

this is too good to be true!! oh, how i wish!!!

    sarah

  433. kat says:

whenever i travel, a part of me always misses my friends and family because i find myself wishing they could all be there to experience all that i am experiencing...for this reason (amongst others!) a destination wedding in the MALDIVES would be my pick! i can just imagine canoeing to eachothers' bungalows for breakfast each morning and days spent lounging together on the beach...all culminating with a beautiful wedding at the end of the week!

  434. stephanie mullins says:

Yay! Napa give away & just in time for my upcoming wedding which btw the location can be easily changed to Napa if I win hahaha! *fingers crossed* Never been to Napa but it was our first choice before we discovered that it would be difficult for guests to fly there from Southern Cali. Im a wine buff and it was an easy destination wedding for me to fall in love with!!

  435. Kelly says:

Hi, Napa valley would be gorgeous. I recently got engaged and looking to have a destination wedding. I am exploring Turks and Caicos, St. Lucia, Puerto Rico, Bermuda.... Anywhere in the Pacific coast (California, Portland OR) or the Caribbean would be beautiful!

  436. Emily L. says:

hmm there's another Emily (11:09 am) who "is perfectly content with my autumn Michigan wedding" and I wondered if I'd already entered the contest (or someone on my behalf... mom?). But then I realized my alter ego dreams of being wed in Iceland. No sirree that is not me. If I could be married anywhere: South Bank in Brisbane, QLD Australia (http://www.maxlinx.com/bcl/images/ArbourDayshot400.jpg ). I did a semester there and fell in love with it. Too bad I didn't fall in love with my fiance there as well. Then I'd have an excuse to go across the world to wed. Still. I'm perfectly content with my autumn Michigan wedding. Seriously.

  437. Kim says:

We're from Oregon, living in Florida and currently planning our wedding in Las Vegas. We're all over the map! But...if we could get married anywhere, I think it would be in Santa Barbara, CA where we lived for a year. Perfect weather, beautiful setting and a sentimental place for both of us.

  438. Erin VH says:

What an amazing giveaway! My dream destination wedding would be at Powerscourt Gardens in County Wicklow, Ireland. It is the most beautiful place I have ever laid my eyes upon! I first visited Powerscourt Gardens during college when I was studying abroad in Europe. The moment I walked through the old mansion and opened the back door onto the gardens, I knew it would be the most magical place for a wedding. The first view is at the top of a tiered hill that overlooks a coy pond with majestic unicorn statues flanking a gazebo. All around are hills of the brightest green you could ever imagine. Even on an overcast day, it exudes a feeling of romance and wonder that one cannot explain.

  439. Claire says:

If I could get married anywhere in the world, it would be at Sand Beach in Acadia National Park in Maine. It's where we got engaged, on just the type of perfect August day that I would like to order up for my wedding. The weather, the fantastic local food, the down-to-earth people, that would be my dream. Then I would go on a long honeymoon to the Maldives, so I could tell my grandchildren about the trip we took to that magical place that probably doesn't exist anymore...

  440. Lindsay says:

Our dream wedding destination is the Rocky Mountains! Keystone, in Colorado, to be exact. This amazing spot is the backdrop to my childhood memories of yearly ski trips, and then, summer trips! I love the idea of all of our loved ones falling upon the mountains, watching us exchange vows among the glimmering aspen trees. The cool, crisp evening air in Colorado is so romantic, I can't stand it!! I picture all of us gathered around gorgeous firepits and lanterns, sipping wine and dancing in the fresh air. DIVINE! If you haven't been, please take yourself to the mountains of Colorado!

  441. Elisha says:

Cap Jaluca hotel in Anguilla! This tiny island will forever hold a special place in my heart. It's where my amazing fiance proposed. We were walking along the deserted beach, looking at the crystal blue water when I saw a seashell resting in the sand. I went to pick it up because I wanted to take it home, and to my surprise it was hiding a tiny wooden box. When I turned around he was down on his knee. I was completely shocked and overflowing with happiness. Anguilla has a great atmosphere--not too crowded, great food, nice people, and amazing beaches. I would get married there in a heartbeat! If you haven't been, you should go visit! Hands down--Best vacation I have ever had!

  442. Cortney says:

On the coast of Mexico...on the beach. Surf, sand, love and tequila...what could be better?

  443. Katie says:

My dream destination would be a little town in Wisconsin called Lake Worth. I used to spend summers there with my grandparents at their cabin on a small private lake. My sister and I spent endless nights bored out of our minds sitting on the dock planning our lives away. We would sit at the end of the dock, toes in the water, and dream of weddings with whomever our crushes of the moment happened to be. We had new crushes every week since it was a vacation resort and families would "change out" on a weekly basis. One week we'd want dresses in fall colors with Joe from Milwaukee, the next week we'd want pastels with Mark from Detroit.

My grandparents sold the resort and I haven't been back in fifteen years, but funny enough my family is from Chicago and my fiance's family is from Minneapolis, so the town is nearly halfway between our homes. I grew up on the lake and I have so many memories from that dock, so I couldn't imagine a more perfect palce for a wedding.

  444. Anna B says:

Napa is pretty high up on my dream destination wedding location because we are both wine lovers and I used to live nearby. In fact for a long time my dream wedding location actually was a vineyard in California wine country.....until I went to Paris in June. Everything changed after that. In June there summer is just getting started so the days are warm but the nights are cool and everyone is coming outside to play. I would have our guests stay somewhere in the center of the city, near the Tuileries and the Louvre so there was plenty to do in the days leading up to the big day. We would have our rehearsal dinner at A Tavola, my fiancee's favorite restaurant when he's in town for work. Then, the wedding would be outdoors in one of the zillions of gorgeous gardens you can find all over Paris - Rodin's house has some of my favorites which I visit every time we are in town because the roses are in full bloom then. I saw a bridal party doing photos there once and just was instantly enthralled (and a teensy bit envious, but in a nice way you know)

Yes, there is absolutely nothing like Paris at that time of year and it would be so wonderful to be able to share that with our family and friends! Alas, we've chosen a location much closer to home (Asheville NC) so we couldn't move the wedding to Napa if we won this contest, but the Bardessono sounds like a great honeymoon idea and we haven't planned that yet....

  445. Teri B. says:

Honestly, my dream destination is Napa Valley. I was surprised with a proposal on a cliff near the Golden Gate Bridge and we spent the following three days of newly-engaged bliss in Napa Valley. I’d always dreamed of a vineyard wedding. To me, it was the optimal setting for a weekend of friends and romance – candles, wine, good food, a mix of formal and casual, and beautiful scenery. Throughout the engagement weekend, while we were wine tasting I was scoping out each winery as a possible venue, gathering wedding information and even grabbing hotel brochures at the adorable B&B’s in St. Helena and Yountville. I was even rambling on to Danny about all of our guests spending the day before our wedding wine tasting for our “welcome event”. And then, it became real when I found “the spot” – Andretti Winery. It had everything I wanted - an Old World Tuscan feel with archways, stonework, lights in the trees, an all outdoor setting and gorgeous vineyards for as far as you can see. Needless to say, I was in love. I was already planning our 1-year anniversary trip to Tuscany, Italy (to tie-into our Tuscan wedding, right?) and buying books on Vineyard Weddings – even our engagement party had a winery theme. Unfortunately, after hours of research and talking with a Napa wedding coordinator, I learned that there are certain restrictions to getting married in Napa and when it came down to it – our budget just wouldn’t cut it. I was so in love with the idea of Napa, we thought about eloping, but decided it wouldn’t be the same without our friends and family.

Despite what may sound like a sad story, I can see that everything happens for a reason and couldn’t be happier. It would be so fun to go back to Napa together and relive those amazing feelings we felt on our engagement weekend – and to do it in-style! This giveaway is heavenly.

  446. A-Lo says:

My heart is in Wisconsin(my parents) and my heart is in LA (his Mom) in Virginia (my brother) in Guatemala (his sister & brother) my heart is also here in Seattle where we live. The best gift would be to simply be together and celebrate our love as a unified multicultural family. A place to laugh and cry no matter if it is a field or beach or barn. The best destination I can think of is anywhere we are together. Thanks, Amy Lopez

  447. Nancy says:

My dream wedding is where I will be getting married in 2010... Napa Valley... My Fiance and I both moved to Napa Valley at seperate times...He moved about 6 years ago and I moved here 4 years ago. We are both from unique places, Chicago and Newport Beach, CA (respectively). Napa for us is our home. Filled with life all around. Even in the winter, when the vines are asleep the soil is busy working preparing the way for the following harvest. People retreat back home for long crisp cold nights with stews and movies to keep them company. As spring comes the vines wake up and the buds break the days get longer and people stay out drinking wine and preparing for the harvest to come. When summer hits the grapes are in full bloom. As Veraison occurs and the topic of Harvest is on everyone's lips. The Valley is buzzing and the air is filled with fermenting grapes... it's the best smell in the world. Napa is so much more of a way of life than rather a place. Understanding the importance of agriculture and how our lives depend on what we grow is what makes this very unique Valley an inspiration.

  448. Helen says:

If I could have a dream wedding ... it would be in Croatia! Dubrovnik, Croatia...so much history, off the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Still a pretty undiscovered country - cheap, near the vineyards of Slovenia.

  449. Felicia says:

I've been obsessed with all things Spanish since my study abroad term in Sevilla, Spain. I can just imagine a small ceremony in one of Sevilla's beautiful parks, the sounds of an amazing Spanish guitar as I walk down the aisle, the delicious and plentiful tapas and sangria our guests would enjoy during our outdoor reception, and as a special surprise in the middle of all the celebrations, a rousing flamenco show.. OLE!

  450. Karen says:

My dream destination wedding location is the site of our wedding... Mackinac Island, Michigan. The island is small and quaint, and all transportation is done by horsedrawn carriage, biking or walking. The island has a very East-Coast-at-the-turn-of-the-20th-century feel. We got engaged there and knew we needed to share the island's magic with our guests!

  451. Erin Carroll says:

I am living my dream wedding because I will be marrying my fiance. If money was not an object and I could fly all my loved ones to our wedding, it would be to the coast of Washington state, where the beaches are miles wide with tide pools, the land is green like an emerald and the mountain are on the horizon.

  452. alia says:

our dream wedding is in honolulu, hi, otherwise known as "home". we recently relocated to california for academic pursuits and are now planning a wedding here. this would make it so much sweeter. thanks!

  453. Lily says:

I'm a Texas girl through and through and would love to be married deep in the hill country. Wimberley, right outside Austin, would be my heart's first choice. My husband to be claims both Alaska and Seattle, where we live, as his homelands. We plan to marry on the waterfront here in Seattle, which isn't Texas, but will be beautiful and wonderful nun the less.

I've never been to Napa, it looks spectacular.

  454. Mary Kate says:

If I could have a destination wedding anywhere, I would probably have it in my mother's hometown of Riga, Latvia. I've never been there, but after seeing so many photos over the years, I think it would be amazing. The coolest part is that my great great grandfather built many of the churches in this capital city and I think it would be incredible to get married in one!

  455. Alison says:

My ideal destination wedding location would be Napa. I went to school in the Bay area and have many fond memories. Napa is beautiful, elegant, and fun all at the same time!

  456. Colleen says:

All these giveaways are wonderful! I would love to get married near the water and somewhere tropical so maybe puerto rico or the bahamas.

  457. Y Kim says:

For a dream wedding destination, the vineyards and vibrant hills of Tuscany, Italy would be the spot! We were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery and culture Italy has to offer the day after we got engaged! What an absolutely breathtaking, gorgeous country.....

However, back to the realm of reality, we are just as excited about our Philadelphia summer wedding coming up next year. Celebrating with all of our friends and family, that is genuinely the most important part of the celebration!

  458. Cassidy says:

I would love to get married just outside of Jenner, CA, near Fort Ross! There is a rental house there that is in a cove, and across the cove is this beautiful piece of land that goes out to a point! It is right on the water, on a rocky cliff, with waves that crash into the rocks below! It is just gorgeous, and it is where my fiance and I are hoping to be married! Hopefully it works out!!!

This is SO exciting! I am actually getting married in Napa next summer, and have looked up several of the locations/vendors mentioned in this post! What a wonderful way to spotlight one of my favorite locations of all time. I think I'm extremely lucky in that we are able to get married in one of our ideal destinations - Napa!

However, if I was to choose another destination wedding location, I would choose Hawaii. I think Hawaii offers everything - fun day/night activities for the younger crowd, and beautiful scenery and relaxation opportunities for the older crowd. Plus, we absolutely love the beach!

  460. Camille says:

Although it is only a few miles from where I live, the Napa Valley is a true dream destination location. The landscape, weather, and romantic charm make it my ideal wedding location. Not only is it home to world renowned wineries and exceptional restaurants, but its proximity to all my loved ones makes it the quintessential location. As I envision it, a sunset ceremony overlooking a vineyard with the loved ones close by, then after enjoying a great meal with even greater wine, dancing under the starts in wine cave would make it a wedding like no other. Much like all the gorgeous weddings featured on SMP, a wedding in Napa would ensure an unforgettable event.

  461. Julie says:

This is an amazing giveaway! I would love to win!

  462. Julie says:

I would love to be married in Arezzo, Italy or Rome. I studied in both and I have very fond memories of there!

  463. Nicole says:

I am torn between a vineyard in Napa, I live for red wine and the amazing views would be unreal. BUT I lived in Colorado for a while and my fiance and I both LOVE to snowboard and seeing pictures of a bride and groom on ski lift just seems sooo unique so in the mountains of Colorado- probably Vail!

  464. Megan says:

    Spain! 'Nuff said.

  465. Jodi says:

we're planning on heading to napa for our honeymoon already...man would this be wonderful!

  466. Laura says:

I would love to get married in Dingle, Ireland or Santorini, Greece. Both locations offer gorgeous seaside views without being too beachy. My fiance and I recently took a trip to Dingle and fell in love with the Irish charm and beautiful town atmosphere that Dingle had to offer - but we decided against getting married there in order to accommodate more family members back in the States, If I could do it over again, I would definitely do it in Dingle. I'm also in love with Santorini - the infinity pools, the wonderful Greek food, and beachside feel without being too Sandals-esque. We're going there on our honeymoon, but how fabulous would it be for us to get married there as well and start the honeymoon early?

  467. Sherie Archie says:

I love love Napa! What a wonderful trip this would be for me and my new Husband!! What a great idea for a giveaway!

  468. JD says:

This was a tough question for sure, but the prizes are amazing (!) so I had to try to think about it. I asked my fiance, and he suggested in a Vineyard in Italy. This would definitely be at the top of the list. Remember that made for TV movie Under the Tuscan Sun? I was glued to the TV watching the beauty of Tuscany.
I have to admit though, my first thought was somewhere in the Adriondack mountains of NY. I spend a lot of time there growing up and love that place. It makes me smile just thinking about it. A wedding at a camp there in the summer would be amazing!

  469. Claire says:

My dream destination isn't too much of a destination at all....we are planning to get married in my home town of Fort Smith, AR. It is a small town where my parents live, and although there are no beaches or or mountains, the intimate location is perfect for me and my honey.

  470. Lisa says:

I've always told myself that I would take a trip to Napa to "chill" with my fiance a few months before the big day and this would be the perfect package! I seriously heart stylemepretty. I think that I am addicted!

  471. junebug says:

This giveaway is amazing! I find Seattle with its mix of nature and urban to be an ideal place for a wedding! While I haven't been to Vancouver, I hear it is beautiful there so I'd add that to my list too!

  472. Lindell says:

I'm a Sydney bride (Australia) so I'm guessing I'm not eligible for this prize but want to share my dream wedding desitination. It's where I've booked my wedding for February 12 2010!!! Church is St Matthew's in Jamberoo (a beautiful little chaple on a green hill with rolling meadow's and diary cow's) and Reception venue is Ravensthorpe www.ravensthorpe.com.au . I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the whole thing and can't wait for my wedding day to arrive. My fiance and I are having so much fun organising our wedding.
We have an old diary farmer from the church who is doing our flowers and her friend Philis (who is also old in their 70's) is going to make our cake. I just love the fact we are using local people who are doing it for the love not the money.
I have some photo's of the church and venue, email me if you want to see them :)

  473. Charla says:

While my love and I are thrilled to get married near our home on Muir Beach, if I had to pick a dream destination wedding spot, my vote would be for Venice, Italy.

  474. musikfaery says:

My fiance and I traveled around northern Germany together a few years ago in February with nothing but backpacks and train tickets, not even hotel reservations! I was extremely apprehensive about weather, etc. but as it turned out it was the MOST AMAZING trip in my life. I would LOVE to return there to a little town called Schwerin for my ultimate wedding. For now I'll just have to make do with sunny CA!

  475. Lacey says:

I would get married in Wroclaw, Poland, just because I'd want to visit the city my fiance loves so much. But Cortland, NY is pretty fancy :)

  476. Jenny says:

i think my dream wedding would have to be in italy...it is the one place that i havent gotten the chance to go to but a close second would be napa...what a dream!

  477. Suzana says:

I was born in Slovakia and would love to get married in Bratislava. Old world charm and wonderfully hospitable people. The perfect location for a destination wedding that is slightly off the beaten path.

  478. Eileen says:

My dream wedding would be the castle that we met in front of in Tuscany.

  479. macarons says:

I would love to get married in Santorini or any of the Greek islands. The sky, the water, it's breathtakingly beautiful.

  480. Laurel says:

I would love to get married on the Isle of Skye in Scotland! I traveled there while I was in college and I think it's the perfect place for a small destination wedding.

  481. Jenn says:

If I could have my wedding anywhere it would be on the lawn on the water at my aunt's house in Onset Bay, MA. We would have a sunset ceremony and a BBQ/Clambake dinner followed by good music and a bonfire by the water. Ah, dream a little dream!

I guess you could say we are planning a destination wedding of sorts....all of our guests will have to travel to us, as we live where the Coast Guard sends us.....right now that is 400 miles one way to my family & 500 miles in the opposite to his!

  482. Delilah says:

    Tuscany!!!
I'd love a wedding in Bar Harbor Maine at the end of August/early Sept.

  483. Mackenzie says:

If I could have my wedding anywhere, I would have it in the place where our love started...San Luis Obispo, CA. Jeff and I met while going to school at Cal Poly, and fell in love with each other, and the area. That city holds a piece of our hearts, much like we hold pieces of each other's. It is a wonderful area of the Central Coast of CA, and an area I feel many people never see because it is "out of the way." By having our wedding there, it would add special meaning to an already special place.

  484. Allison says:

This is ABSOLUTELY incredible! It just so happens that my dream destination is NAPA!

I would obviously never turn down the idea of a city in Australia or Paris, but when I think about my wedding in a place where friends and family could gather in a more peaceful and fun environment, I think of Napa. I love the area and the space as well as the time I have shared there with many close family and friends.

While planning my wedding, Napa is where I have always pictured it, and where I will always picture it!

  485. Michelle says:

I would want to have my Destination Wedding in Paris, France. The city has so much culture and is considered the city of love. I can think of many cute themes and ideas that can come from having a destination wedding there. I think that it would be a wonderful time for the guests but even more so for me and my future husband.

  486. Lizzie says:

Los Olivos, California. It is where my fiance and I fell in love 4 years ago on our first out of town trip together. It is where he ultimately proposed earlier this year and its where we will be tying the knot next year! It is the perfect little getaway for a destination wedding. Little town with all of the rustic charm in the world! Surrounded by acres and acres of grape vines...I couldn't think of anything more romantic. For out of towners, Los Olivos is close to beautiful, beachy Santa Barbara-with all of the big city amenities. What more could you ask for as a bride or guest?

  487. jessica says:

my dream destination is napa valley. i've lived in san francisco for four years am from teh east coast and dream of having all of my friends and family out for a weekend wedding in the napa valley. i'm dreaming of a friday night welcome bbq with country music playing (as my father is from the south) with a whimsical theme - cotton candy, popcorn buckets,a photobooth and even a ferris wheel (although i dont think that will happen!) i would plan the saturday as a spa day and luncheon for me and my bridesmaids, golf for the groom and groomsmen and a couple of activities for our guests (bike rides, hikes, golf, spa, etc.). i want the evening to be a romantic evening with lanterns, a fire pit w/smores, dancing, cigars and more. i think i've gone on too long but napa valley is where i'm planning on having my wedding...although the planning hasnt started although the date is set for aug 7, 2010

  488. christina says:

my dream destination would be on the beaches of vietnam, where my family is from and where i've always wanted to visit. beautiful land and seascapes with our closest family & friends!

  489. Stephanie says:

Our dream destination would definitely be in Italy. When we first met and were friends, we would always joke about someday getting married in Italy. Here we are getting married, not in Italy, but we're striving for our 1st anniversary there!

  490. Nellie T says:

my dream destination wedding! This is such a difficult question for me because my dream wedding is one where all my most important friends and family are with me eating amazing food and completely enjoying ourselves without having to worry about hosting or impressing. It almost seems impossible! But I think a pretty amazing backdrop would be Lake Louise in Alberta Canada. It's secluded and beautiful! What more could you ask for?

  491. amykate says:

California Wine Country! I'm a Bay Area girl marrying an Alabama boy and I can't imagine anything more fun than a vineyard wedding that combines Napa style with Southern charm. We just started planning a wedding here and are hoping we can make it happen. Designing a spectacular weekend for our loved ones in a place that has a special meaning for us would be a dream come true.

  492. Katie says:

Blowing Rock or Asheville NC. It would be a dream!

  493. my dream destination wedding would be in morocco. my fiance and i visited this past spring and fell in love with the the people. place and food!!! not wanting to exclude any of our loved ones from our special day, we've decided to stay put and get married in sunny california... planning our big day has been so much fun!

  494. Laura says:

Getting married on the beach in Key West is my dream destination. With a ceremony in the morning, followed by parasailing for any of those daring enough to try it. I think during the reception, have Key Lime Pie Martini's (yummy!!) and other local specialties. Beautiful sunrises, amazing views, and great personality - just say yes to Key West!

  495. Melissa says:

    Cartagena, Colombia.

  496. Debbie says:

Ok, just picked up my jaw after reading about this giveaway! How amazingly wonderful it is!!

The world is mighty big (yet can feel small sometimes... strangely ironic), but my DREAM wedding would take place in the church where the movie Mamma Mia was filmed-- Skopelos Island, Greece.

The movie itself was just so-so, but the location???!! I can't imagine a more beautiful and romantic sight! In fact, my fiance and I were inspired to plan our honeymoon there after watching the movie. :)

  497. Shawna says:

Oh my goodness, this is amazing.

Dream location for my wedding? That's easy. Nantucket, where I spent my summers as a child. It has so many memories and would be such a perfect place to start the rest of my life.

  498. Erin says:

my ultimate destination wedding is Cambridge, MA where my fiance and I met. It's not Napa and it's not a tropical island, but it's where we fell in love! Thank you to everyone who gave for this amazing prize!

  499. Christy K. says:

When my fiancee and I first got engaged, we immediately thought - destination wedding! We love to travel, experience new places and have incredible adventures together. As we got into planning, we looked at many different places, some with mountainous views, some with cute little historical buildings, and others with inviting beaches. The list was so difficult to narrow down because we loved all of them for many different reasons. We got caught up in the "Place" that we forgot the "reason". And as we get closer to narrowing down our location (Puerto Vallarta is the front runner right now...) I realize that anyplace would be perfect and special, because it's the place I'm going to say "I do" to a very special person in my life.

  500. Trisha H. says:

There is no place like home, but somewhere on the Central California coast would be great too! I love all the quaint costal villages and the rocky coast line. There is something to be said for the small town feel!

  501. Alisa says:

You know...it would be wonderful to get married in Italy or Napa Valley or the Bahamas. But I think my dream location is actually in my hometown of El Reno, Oklahoma. I'm a sentimental girl, and I would love to spend the most important day of my life in the town where I lived for 18 years. There are a ton of memories in that town...the preschool where I met my first friend, the tree where I had my first kiss, and the street in front of the high school where I got my first speeding ticket! I love my little town, and I would love nothing more that to get married outside, on the wide open plains, under a beautiful sunset...surrounded by all of the people who will live in my memories forever.

  502. lisa says:

So many places! Europe (Italy especially), rustic Ontario (Canada), and El Salvador - where I'm actually getting married in January. Looking forward to the beautiful scenery, lovely people, and interesting culture.
I love love love this package! My fiance recently became a sommelier - and we are dying to go to Napa to check out wines and everything else that area has to offer. Pick me please :)

  503. Jamie says:

My dream wedding location would be Napa, I love the beauty and the ease of Napa. Not to mention all the amazing restaurants in the area. How great would it be to have your wedding dinner at French Laundry! It's the most amazing meal that I've ever had. I have been dying to stay at Bardessono, thanks for featuring it!

  504. Alicyn says:

I would go to Greece to get married, if I could. We aren't getting married there and not honeymooning there either, but someday I will go.

  505. Janice says:

My dream wedding would be ... not sure about where I would want the ceremony, but I would want to have the reception at Bouchon in Yountville. Since college in NYC, I've been in absolute love of all things Thomas Keller, and the way he cooks. In fact, my fiance proposed to me in SF, and we celebrated by having lunch at Bouchon! It was the most amazing day...

Although that's my dream wedding, the idea now tentatively is this mouthwateringly delicious hot dog + beer place in downtown Los Angeles (rattlesnake+rabbit, duck+bacon, and the traditional types as well) soooo we'll see. Plans are in motion...!

  506. lilacavenue says:

My dream destination wedding would be a little town in the Irish countryside. My fiance is half Irish so I'd love to be able to feature his heritage. I'm picturing lots of dramatic photos on a rocky coastline, a historic church, reception in a pub with lots of beer and great food.
In real life I get to play host to my fiances English and Irish relatives, with their destination being the US! I would love to win these fantastic prizes to show off our country properly!

  507. Jenny says:

There are so many amazing possibilites...
Living in Chicago and having a job that lets me travel across the country has given me an opportunity to see some great cities. And I must say San Fran would be my second home if possible...it's amazing and I love the weather.

With that said if I were to pick one place, I would love for it to be a destination that I could get away from the fast paced life...to be surrounded by nature and enjoy the company that I am with! If money was not an issue and I could bring my dearest loved ones...it would have to be an:

Africian Safari at any one of the Singita game reserves lodges located in South Africa or Tanzania!
How can you go wrong with a name like Singita, meaning 'a place of miracles'!!!

  508. Jess says:

Some friends of mine just did a road trip of the mid and western US. The pictures they brought back with them are amazing; can't you imagine spectacular wedding photos (and emotions) in the Grand Canyon with those wonderful sunsets?

  509. Sara says:

I would definately get married in Lake Tahoe, CA! We checked out this spot but it wasn't practical for us because our families are located in the Midwest!

  510. Renato R says:

My future wifey and I happen to share the same dream wedding spot and in a lucky coincidence we will be getting there. Our dream spot is Napa. You can beat the secenery, food and weather. PERFECT. My fiance is from NY and I am from the greatest place on earth, San Francisco, so this is a destination wedding for her and her family. It would be nice for to spend her next trip a nice place like Bardessono, instead of rushing around to vendors and Venues. Likely with a place like Napa, its been a labor of love (well I mostly sit back and enjoy the ride). I love you Beba, see you soon @)-;--

  511. Amy says:

Seattle. It's probably my favorite place on earth. So green, so fun, such lovely views of the mountains and water from nearly every part of the city. So many wonderful, creative people. So many amazing restaurants and farmers markets, and such good beer. And someone told me there are more ice cream shops per capita here than any other city in the US. That may or may not be true, but it certainly feels like it. It's everything pretty and delicious and wonderful.

  512. Brittany says:

I'm getting married outside of Toronto and I am really happy about it. The truth is that my dream destination is wherever I am able to get married to my fiance, who is my best friend and soulmate. As excited as I am about the wedding, I think the marriage matters more than the celebration. :) I'd marry him in the middle of nowhere with a Band-Aid ring, so I guess my dream destination is wherever he is!

  513. Renato R says:

  514. angie says:

If I could get married anywhere in the world, it would probably be on a cliff lookout spot in Puerto Rico. My dad's side of the family is Puerto Rican and I would love to my heritage that way. Plus, a waterfront wedding in such a beautiful place would be a dream come true. A destination wedding is a secret desire of mine, as it would fulfill the budget issues, guest count problems and it would ultimately give us the privacy we thrive on such a romantic perfect day!

    Great giveaway! Thanks!!

  515. Carolyn says:

I'm getting married in Italy next year and can't wait to buy Alison's Destination Wedding Planner!

  516. diane says:

I would choose Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. I went last year for the first time (and my first time at a tropical resort!) and I seriously think about it almost every day...I'm itching to go back in the worst way! The beaches are dreamy, the drinks are free-flowing and the mood oh so relaxing!

  517. Brittany says:

I would, without a doubt, get married in Tuscany. If they allowed it, I would get married in Santa Croce in Florence. The reception would be in the hills of wine country at sunset. *Sigh*

  518. While it's not the most exotic destination, we would love to get married on the beach at the Moana Surfrider Hotel in Waikiki, Hawaii as it holds a lot of sentimental value for us. While our family doesn't live in Hawaii (we're originally from Alaska and now live in Minnesota), this hotel holds a special place in our heart. Not only did my mom and dad get married there in the 70s, but in an odd twist of fate, my fiance's aunt and uncle also got married there almost 20 years ago, before he and I knew each other. So when the time came to propose, my fiance took me on a vacation to Hawaii and proposed in the same spot.

  519. trinsley says:

Half Moon Bay, California! I grew up nearby-- we used to take a dirt road (literally! pot-holes and everything) out to our favorite spot on the coast and then my sisters and I (plus our dog) would clammer down the cliffs in order to get to a beach that few people knew about. We were more than a little skeptical when years later they began constructing a fancy hotel on the cliffs above our favorite spot. I must admit: the hotel turned out to be a nice addition, but it still pales in comparison to the beauty of beach below and the cliffs and the fog and the tide pools. Now that my fiance and I are living in the midwest, I think of that coastline often and know that it would be a meaningful place to celebrate the start of our new family. Aaannnd it's helpful that our guests would have a posh place to stay, and a paved road to travel on! Change is good!

  520. Jenny says:

In Banff National Park in Cananda! I am one of the very few people that actually was born there and was lucky enough to spend all of my summers growing up there. Little mountain town charm, gorgeous mountains, unforgettable waterfalls and I dream about it all the time. Such, as life would have it I am getting married in Virginia next month. Going even more locavore in my neighborhood that I now live in. It came down to showing some serious love to my hood and the state I call home now. I have never been to California, and I think Napa would be an unforgettable trip of a lifetime.

  521. Cristina says:

Paris! But only if we could afford to cover the airfare and hotel costs for all of our family anf friends! We would serve mussels and fries and eat chocolate banana crepes instead of cakes. I die!

  522. Eileen says:

My fiance and I live in Chicago but are getting married in Palm Springs, CA next year! Being from California originally, I love any and every opportunity to go back to my home state. So winning a stay in Napa would be a great reason to go back!

  523. Katrina says:

Without a doubt, I would love to get married in Venice, Italy. My fiance (at the time, my new boyfriend) came to visit me while I lived there for a summer doing a project for school. He had just graduated, and since I was still in college and we hadn't been together very long, our future was uncertain. But in a city seeping with passion like Venice, it was hard not to fall in love. Returning to the place that brought us together, 6 years later, and getting married on a quiet night along the Grand Canal with the softly lit palaces reflecting on the water would be magic.

P.S. You're announcing the winner on my birthday - pick me! ;)

  524. calijess says:

We met in Tahoe, where we both lived for years, but we decided that we wanted to get married some place that would be special for that just that reason--because we got married there. I am not sure where that is yet--but it will be in Northern California...Right now my favorite places are Bear Flag Farm in Winters and the Headlands Center for the Arts in Marin...Although doing a bike tour in Napa sounds great too...

  525. Jen P says:

What a fabulous give away. What great vendors. I hope I win.

  526. Whitney says:

I've always wanted to just take of to Greece with just a couple of friends and our parents and just get married somewhere outside with a gorgeous view. Maybe for our 50th :)

  527. Marci Murphy says:

Just got engaged this weekend while on a romantic trip to New Orleans! I am already overflowing with ideas! I've been following your site for a few years now - even though I wasn't engaged. I love love love this site! My dream destination wedding would be in the Los Olivos area of California since my fiance and I love wine. This is such a fabulous giveaway! Good luck everyone!

  528. Ashly says:

My dream wedding would take place in one of the most romantic cities in the world- Portofino, Italy on the Italian Riviera. I have never been to Italy but I dream of going there someday. I think it would be the most romantic experience of my life and to be there with my fiance would be amazing!! This giveaway is awesome! thank you so much!

  529. Julie says:

It would probably have to be Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on the top of Pao de Acucar (Sugar Loaf Mountain) at sunset. One of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. It is overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Gaunabara Bay, the city of Rio, Copacabana Beach, and the Cristo Redentor (Christ Statue). It is purely magical.

  530. Marit says:

My dream wedding destination would be in Swakopmund, Namibia. (No, not because Brangelina gave birth to one of their brood there...) When I started dating my boyfriend, now my fiance, we realized that we had both spent time in Nambia and in Martinique, which is sort of unusual for two run of the mill Minnesotans. (Martinique would be my second dream wedding destination, at the Jardin de Balata up in the volcanic mountains amongst tropical flowers! Maybe honeymoon or anniversary?) I envision a small, intimate wedding with our families on the pier down by the water at sunset. The view of the golden sand dunes behind us and the ocean stretching out before us would be unbeatable.

  531. Jessi says:

I started college as an architecture student in Texas but I quickly realized I was way more in love with the natural beauty of the world then I ever would be with man made designs... so when we first got engaged, my only requirement was that it had to be somewhere breathtakingly beautiful... I think I got my wish... We were married at my parents home in Breckenridge, CO with the mountains as the backdrop for our ceremony and reception.... In my mind and in my husband's mind, it was absolute perfection. They bought the house not one month before our engagement, I guess you could say the stars aligned.

  532. Linda says:

Our dream wedding would definitely be in Phuket, Thailand where we spent some time on vacation. We had an amazing experience and wished we could get married there. Nonetheless, we can't wait to celebrate our wedding locally with our family and friends!

  533. Lynnie says:

As cheesy as it may sound, my dream wedding Coty isn't a city at all. It's the tiny town of lake placid new york.

It's in lake placid where I fell in love with Andy ( my fiancé) over 7 years ago, and the last place I saw him before we lost touch for 4 years right after that. for those 4 years i never settled down, always knowing it would be second beat. I knew he was "the only one" for me.

It was Fittig, then, that lake placid was the place we returned to when we finally reconnected - after what seemed like almost a lifetime in between. And it's where we go now, every year for valentines day.

The high peaks of the adirondacks are special to so many people for so many good reasons. The mountains are spectacular, the waters pristine, and the nature untouched. The adirondacks are the symbol of the simple eauty of the northeast.

For us, though, it's also where our love story began, and where it begins again every time we visit.

  534. Peanut says:

Ever since I was a little girl visiting Turkey during summer vacations, I dreamed of getting married at the Ciragan Palace in Istanbul. It's located right on the Bosphorus, has an amazingly romantic long staircase, and used to house royalty!

  535. Cheryl says:

My dream wedding would be in Cinque Terre, Italy. The paths along the cliffs of the Mediterranean coastline are beautiful and romantic. Saying our vows at the top of a cliff/hill while overlooking the colorful villages, boats, and crystal clear water would be a dream. My college professor took us to Cinque Terre on a study abroad trip, and he said he was taking us to heaven because it is heaven on earth. It is truly one of the most beautiful and unique places in the world.

Additionally, the local food and wine is top notch, and they make both wine and olive oil in the nearby villages. You can't get any better than that!

  536. Sarah says:

My fiance and I are originally from WI but have been living in the Bay Area for over 5 years. Honestly, I would love to get married on a secluded beach spot in Point Reyes - fog and all I think it would be stunning and incredibly romantic. Instead we will be getting married on a farm in WI, which will be just as fun as it represents our upbringing and a major connection we have with each other.

  537. Sarah Lathrop says:

I'd choose the beach, anywhere really! Someplace with beautiful sand, gorgeous blue water and palm trees!

  538. Irene says:

Wilmington, Delaware. I may live in Los Angeles now, but it's my birthplace and I'm a small town girl at heart. Wilmington would be totally unexpected and unassuming. Afterall it's the first state, my first love, and my first marriage (and only of course ;) haha)

  539. Kim says:

Wow!! What a giveaway! Well, I think we've picked my dream destination wedding: Lake Tahoe!

  540. Carolina says:

    Wow!
My dream destination wedding would be in the Neuschwanstein castle located in southern Germany.
Right in front of the castle there is the Alpsee lake which is where my fiancee and I got engaged. . .
The landscape is sooooooo beautiful! with montains surrounding you, covered of snow. . .
hey! you did say dream ;)

  541. Julie says:

A small, intimate wedding in the Caribbean during sunset... ;)

  542. Marita says:

Wow, awesome giveaway! I'd have to say that my dream city destination wedding location would be Barcelona - it's such a dreamy city with plenty of fun for guests!

  543. taloolabelle says:

Well...We tied the knot in one of North Americas most beautiful cities...Montreal...but...our daughter and fresh new fiance (proposed on September 18th) are just back from Maui where he got down on one knee (after asking her daddio for her hand, of course) and their wish is the beautiful Wine Country of Napa and Sonoma. I have been asked to locate the perfect Event planner for them and came across this! How lucky!...No one wants Free stuff more than the parents of the Bride!....so the perfect Wedding spot in 2010 for us is Wine Country but for others....think about Old Montreal....a touch of Europe in North America!

  544. Kelly says:

London is my dream destination for my wedding. The lights along the Southbank with the views of St. Paul's and the Shakespeare's Globe theater in the back is ideal. That is the first place I want to go when I land in London and on a nice crisp fall day, you can't beat it. At night, they light up the streets with fairy lights and it seems like I'm a character in love. No place better to get married and share those vows with my love.

  545. Michelle says:

If I could tie the knot anywhere in the world, it would have to be somewhere in the Bay Area - there's no place like home! We're getting married in SF, but it was a very tough call between the city and a Napa Valley winery...

  546. ckb123 says:

i think the napa valley is my favorite place in the united states: the wine, the scenery, the climate, the restaurants, the sky. it doesn't really get better than that.

  547. laurenp says:

This looks like the msot amazing trip!! I have always wanted to go to Napa! My dream city destination is Austin, where I'm getting married in 2 weeks!

  548. Lauren M says:

My dream location would be the spot on earth where the most of my family and friends would be able to attend. Logistics aside, though, we want to be married waterfront, perhaps in San Diego! Lovely to "meet" your blog, too!

  549. Alex Peploe says:

To be honest my dream wedding destination would be wherever I was marrying my gorgeous fiance Scott!
I live in London so I guess I should be flying the flag for my city however I'm a beach and country girl at heart so my ideal wedding city would be Brighton in East Sussex - we would have our ceremony in the beautiful country village of Alfriston (just a few miles away) followed by a reception in the historic and fun seaside town of Brighton in a venue overlooking the sea and the lights of the pier - fun, kitsch and very retro! I'd be more than happy with that! :-)

  550. Ann says:

I am excited to be planning my wedding in my hometown state of Connecticut, but my dream destination wedding would be in Big Sur.

  551. Lorraine says:

My dream wedding would take place in New York. It's where I lived for 6 years and where we met. We're getting married in Chicago because it's where we live now and where we're starting our lives together, but I still have a place in my heart for NYC. Thankfully Chicago is ten times more affordable, though. I hope I win!

  552. Dana says:

I am a small town midwest girl planning a wedding in Illinois, but I'm a sucker for the tropical, so an island destination would be my dream!

  553. Heather says:

Without a doubt, my dream destination would be Costa Careyes, Mexico. The romantic villas, the blue waters, the seclusion, and the sexy European vibe make this place the ultimate destination location, for me. :)

  554. Coretta says:

The Greek Isles are GORGEOUS, warm, and welcoming! I'd love to stay forever.

  555. Maria says:

Could there be any other perfect location than Paris???? The city, the lights, the food! Everything is perfect for an ultra chic and romantic wedding!

  556. Marie-Noelle says:

Ever since I've seen the movie 7 years in Tibet, I've been captivated by this country. I would love to have the chance to have my wedding there. It just seems like a place full of emotions and breath taking views that it would be a lovely place to tight the knot with my fiance.

  557. Jamie says:

My fiance often laughs because I want to see the world, truly. But our dream destination is South East Asia. Thai and Vietnamese are our favorite foods (plus they're allergy friendly- I can actually eat them!). We love to watch any of the documentary shows (Travel Chanel, Discovery Chanel, Food Network) about that region, and really want to go tour the temple grounds, jungles, ruins, towns, Bangkok . . . I could go on and on. If we could tie the knot anywhere unique, it would definitely be SE Asia.

Both of us graduated this year, and are still looking (diligently and valiently) for work. But for the meantime, our travel dreams will stay dreams. Once we've saved up enough, we want to tour major wine areas in the US, starting with my home region of the Finger Lakes, then Napa. This giveaway would be SOO amazing. SO incredible. Please. Please.

  558. Kaycee says:

Napa would be an absolutely beautiful, ideal location for a destination wedding. I've been trying to think of a place lately and I may have just been swayed in that direction!

  559. msk03 says:

Napa would be incredible but probably the Outer Banks, NC. I have gone there every year since I was born as a big family trip so it has a special place in my heart. Plus it's on a beach -- can't get much better than a beach :)

  560. Stephanie says:

We are getting married on October 2, 2010 in Connecticut - it will be a classic fall, New England wedding which I can't wait for.

BUT, I would LOVE to get married in Venice, Italy. The tiny, winding cobblestone streets and canals hidden around every corner - that city is so incredibly romantic. What a dream!

  561. Jessica Lynn says:

I'm a simple person. If I could do it all over again (since i'm already married) i would tie the knot on the shores of a lake. i spent my childhood at the lake and i feel like its where i belong. My best friend in the world is getting married in Florida next June in her own little destination wedding. She could so use the consult with Alison as well as the invitations! Now, the Napa Valley trip I might save for myself if I'm lucky enough to win!! :)

  562. Rose says:

We are planning our wedding in Boston, MA after moving cross country two years ago. If I could get married anywhere it would be in San Diego, where we first met.

  563. Liz says:

My dream wedding doesn't involve a special destination, just the ones I love around me. My grandparents have all passed on, and nothing would have been more special than to have my grandmother meet the love of my life, Dave. I think sometimes about what it would have been like to look into the pews and see her smiling back at me. She was my biggest supporter, and always knew how to make everyone laugh. Dave and I can't afford to go on a honeymoon, and this package would be a dream come true. Napa is such an gorgeous place, and I can't imagine anything more perfect than relaxing after our DIY wedding in this location.

  564. Mary says:

Oooh! This giveaway totally makes my heart pump faster! The vendors are all angels and I am especially intrigued by the consultation with Thayer Allison Gowdy. Could I even begin to tap into the knowledge and instinct that lies within??

We are getting married on October 2nd, 2010 but have not yet planned a honeymoon due to budgetary constraints (our family has been blessed with 5 weddings next year, mine is the last). The Bardonesso Hotel and Spa retreat would provide us the opportunity to revel in the beauty surrounding that area and the memories we just created with our wedding!

  565. Alaina says:

I absolutely love the idea of a destination wedding. My fiance and I are planning a quasi-destination wedding in Athens, GA about 2 hours away from our home town. But if we could get married anywhere we would pick New York City, where we got engaged. We met due to the downturn in the economy. My fiance had an internship set up in a lawfirm last summer, but since the firm wasn't making any money, they couldn't pay him! So he decided to volunteer for a government position...where I work! At Christmas we flew up to NYC and he proposed in Central Park, in a horse drawn carriage, in the snow! It was the most romantic moment of my life. Our dream desination wedding would re-create that moment in Central Park, carriage and all.

  566. elizabeth says:

I'm excited to get married in Richmond, VA - where my finance and I first met and fell in love! We love the history and beauty of the original capital of the South! If we were doing a destination wedding I would love to return to Napa where we had our first vacation together! There is something special about that California sun, wine, and air that brought us even closer! Its gorgeous out there!

  567. Barb says:

I'm getting married in April 2010 in Charleston, SC. My fiance and I really wanted to get married in Sedona, AZ overlooking the Red Rocks, but since all my guests will be coming from the Northeast (and we live in Boston) we decided to choose a destination wedding locale that was easier to get to. If Sedona was closer to the Northeast we would have gotten married there, but we are very happy about our decision to get married in Charleston. We fell in love with the quaint shops, brick sidewalks and gaslamp lined alleyways. Plus, by having a destination wedding we were able to keep the guest list to our friends and family who have seen our relationship grow over the years.

  568. Muriel says:

My husband and I eloped with our son a couple of years ago. We exchanged vows on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and our little boy took pictures and flew a kite. We have since daydreamed of hosting a marriage celebration that our friends and family could attend a litte closer to home. I guess our dream destination wedding would be here in the mountains of North Carolina, maybe Max Patch, with a huge reception in downtown Asheville!

  569. Karen says:

In an ideal world, we'd be getting married in Panajachel, Guatemala. My mother is from Guatemala and her entire family still lives near the capital city. Pana is a gorgeous village on the Western side of Guatemala right up against an enormous lake. The lake is flanked by three large, dormant volcanoes. It is visually and culturally breath taking. My husband-to-be and I went on our first real vacation together here and it was amazing. I would love to get married in such a stunning area with family still close by to share in our happiness.

  570. Agnes D. says:

My destination wedding would have to be in San Francisco. I've never been there but I am fascinated by all the great things the city has to offer...history, dining, shopping, the arts! My dream has always been to move there and sell my crafts by the sea! I live in a small beach town that doesn't have as much going on culture-wise with art shows and such, but I figure I'd have the best of both worlds in San Fran with the beach and the wonderful craft scene. My fiance is a musician so I'm sure he'll appreciate the rich music scene as well. Its basically why San Fran is on the top of my list. They have so many "scenes," lots to do!

  571. MK says:

    There isn't a question...New Orleans.

Hurricane Katrina forced us to leave and relocate further north, but I've never given up my love for the city. Jazz, beignets, and sweet southern people... I'd love to have a big, raucous wedding down on the bayou and bring all of our family and friends back to the most amazing city on earth!

  572. amandapandaloo says:

Our dream wedding destination would be Seattle, WA. This is where we took our first vacation togther and fell in love with the city. It has everything: the ocean, the mountains, a rainforest (!), beautiful skyline, diverse neighborhoods, incredible nightlife, parks everywhere... I could go on and on. It's too impractical to go to Seattle for our wedding (all our family is in Michigan), but we're making dream-filled plans to move there eventually. Maybe we can stop in Napa on our way!

  573. Lo C. says:

We're planning a wedding close to where we got engaged...Lake Minnewaska near New Paltz, NY (the Shawangunk mountains).

  574. Cindy says:

Hello All! My dream wedding would be in Paris France or somewhere in Switzerland!! I always visualized a wedding in an old city, beautiful natural scenery and a breath of fresh air! LOL! I live in St. Louis and since I wont be able to have my wedding at these locations we are going to base our wedding with a vintage theme! We are going to bring Europe to St.Louis!

  575. MYP says:

I would love to get married at the El Ombu de Areco - it's an estancia right outside of San Antonio de Areco in Argentina. We went there during break from school and fell in love with it. It has such a peaceful feel with incredible rustic, yet elegant rooms and amazing lunches (trays of meats, bottles of amazing wine). We actually brought back a few of their house bottles of wine with us 2 years ago and opened one up when got engaged recently. The memories...

  576. Lexi says:

A tough call, we are having ours where we met almost 8 years ago in Grand Cayman. However, if there were no limitations to transportation and budget I would be torn between Harbour Island, English countryside, and probably something outside of Aix-en-Provence. We travel a lot and always make it a priority to explore everything we can and to be able to share some of those sites with my loved ones would be amazing. I am so thrilled however, to have it in Cayman because we met there, dated long distance there, and are now coming back to share it with lots of friends who have never been before. My groom is English though, so we have somehow yet to make it to the West Coast and are dying for a tour of Napa. Foodies and definite Wine lovers has inspired lots of our travel. This would be an insane chance to see more of the US!

  577. Catie says:

My super sweet and epic destination wedding would of course be in New Zealand! Thaddeus loves to ice climb and I love to taste wine! An outdoor wedding on a farm in New Zealand would really be the ultimate dream. Sheep and bikes and family! We're lovebirds with an adventurous spirit and nature holds a very special place in our hearts. Our families from Lake Tahoe and San Francisco would make the trek quicker than you can say Kaczmarek 3 times fast (my new last name!!).

  578. kaye says:

This giveaway is amazing! I would love to honeymoon in Napa!

  579. Natasha says:

Our dream wedding destination would definetly be Arenal, Costa Rica. We love adventure and Costa Rica has it all: beauty, jungle, volcanos, relaxation and that magical romance you want for your wedding! We would get married at the Tabacon Spa and Resort, my fiance has been there before and says it is to die for. It has gorgeous natural hot springs that you can relax in and at night you can see the volcano as you sit in the warm water. Your hotel room is literally in the jungle and you can hear monkeys and other animals from your room. The best is the gorgeous jungle, we would get married outside amoung the giant orchid trees and then party until the sun came up with our guests. I cant imagine a more wonderful and memorable place to take our family to share in our special day!

  580. paula says:

If I could have another wedding with my same husband - I would do a vineyard wedding. We had an amazing downtown city wedding - and I wouldn't change a thing. But the day was so wonderful i would love to do it again! Wouldn't that be the life.
And I would definitely do it in Napa - at either Solage or Calistoga Ranch on a spring day. I would do a whole vineyard theme with champagne or cabernet colored coordination, outdoor ceremony with lots of greenery and very intimate , in the wine cellar or among stacks of wine barrells! There are several weddings on Style Me Pretty from Solage - and they all make me swoon!
Oh to relive that day again!

  581. Anna D. says:

Wow, this is amazing. It is great to see so many business people come together & produce such a life changing giveaway. Thank you for the oppurtunity!
    Anna

  582. Natalie says:

This is an incredible give away, thanks so much for sharing it with us. My dream wedding would be at Catalina Island, off the California coast south from LA. A view of Avalon harbor from the ceremony at one of the many lookout points would be so memorable. Also, my family is so big, we would take over the whole island and party all night.

  583. kimberly says:

WOW! what a package-- and napa valley looks beautiful. i'm an east coast girl in va but my dream destination is a loft wedding in nyc. if i can't have that, i'm hosting a outdoor rustic wedding here!

  584. Karen Zachary says:

You absolutely can't beat the Bay Area. From the incredible parks along the Oakland Hills, to Treasure Island, SF's beautiful hotels? The Presidio? Muir Woods? And of course, the wine country. I mean, wow. It's just an amazing place to live, play and wed. My vote is for a clear-top tent in San Francisco's Presidio.

  585. Sammy Q says:

I would love the opportunity to get married in Napa... I live in Oklahoma City and am planning a wedding in April of next year. Napa is on mine and my fiance's bucket list of vacation destinations! I couldn't even fathom getting to "tie the knot" there! A Napa Valley wedding would be the most amazing thing to ever happen to us.

  586. Whitney says:

Honestly, if I had to pick one place in the world where I would love to get married, it would be Napa Valley. I have so many fond memories of my parents towing my siblings and I (after a 10 hour car ride) to see one of the "most beautiful places in California." As they sampled the wines, we would get lectured on the density, aroma and flavor of the wine. However, as a 16 year old kid, this meant very little to me...But I do remember looking out at the rolling hills of vineyards and seeing a never-ending expanse of greenery and thinking "I'm going to get married here one day." I would have loved to get married on a point overlooking a vineyard and held the reception in a barrel room, while all of our guests sampled the fine Napa wines and tasted the amazing cuisine.

  587. Karen says:

Next Wednesday is my birthday! I hope I win! I love Napa Valley!

  588. Maggie Scheibe says:

Getting married in L.A. before fiancé goes off to Naval training. What a fabulous give-away package!

  589. Ali says:

My dream wedding destination? Martha's Vineyard...beaches, quaint towns, and very preppy...my style

  590. Erin Harmon says:

We just go engaged last night after 6 years of dating. One of the happiest days of my life so far and I still am tearing up today.

If we could get married anywhere in the world, it would probably have to be somewhere in Italy. I've never been there, so I don't know what city, but I know we both love food and wine and have always wanted to go there together. My second choice would be in Napa. I'm from Northern California and now live in Orange County and miss it up there so much.

We can't wait to get our families together and are trying to figure out a great location that everyone can get too and won't have to spend tons of money to get there. This is a great give away and whomever gets it will remember it for the rest of their lives.

  591. Anne B. says:

My dream destination for a wedding IS Napa Valley. I live in Texas and we vacation in California just about once a year and always make a stop in the wine country before coming home. The weather, the food, the WINE... everything is perfect and I fall more in love with the place every single time I am there.

  592. abmatic says:

My ideal destination would be New Zealand, but alas, it is too far and impractical. I'll have to settle for Sonoma County CA instead (which isn't really settling!).

  593. Kami says:

After reading of this FABULOUS giveaway, my little heart went a-flutter and I giggled giddily to myself! I think the giddiness was a mixture of pure excitement over the DELICIOUS prizes, but also perhaps because it was 3 am. Why was I reading SMP at 3 am you may ask, why because I am an OB/GYN resident doctor currently on the night shift in the labor and delivery unit. At night when I get a (rare) spare moment, I always catch up on the latest and greatest in the wedding world on SMP. So last night I immediately set to work typing my enthusiastic submission, but just as I opened the text box, my pager went off, "Delivery in room 5!" Slightly disappointed, I ran off to deliver my second baby of the night. Now that I am at home and about to go take a much needed nap, I want to say that I would love to win this giveaway because not only is Napa an incredibly gorgeous area, but it is our dream location!! In fact, it is the actual location of our wedding! My fiance and I are going up to Napa Valley next week to pick out the exact location, but the one thing we have officially decided is that we will be married among the vineyards of Napa. The reason Napa is so close to our hearts is because while we were dating we took several weekend trips to our local Southern California wineries. Now, for the biggest and most special day in our relationship, what better place to get married than the most beautiful wine country of all??? We are SOOO excited to plan all the details and I think that this giveaway could give us a bit of a glimpse into all of the awesomeness that Napa has to offer! :)

  594. Lawrence Wilson says:

Give me Occidental, CA. That would make me very happy.

  595. Anabeth Guthrie says:

My dream destination wedding - on a farm in Mississippi, near the Gulf, with a regional theme crossing food, music, traditions, and flowers. I wish I could plan this for myself but it would be long distance to go with much complicated travel for 98% of my guests! To dream...

  596. carey says:

the coast of maine in summer, hands down!!

  597. Erica says:

My dream wedding destination is an old estate in Michigan! Beautiful scenery with a rustic flair :)

  598. Michael says:

    In Manhattan of course!!!

  599. Vanessa says:

I'm planning a destination wedding for next year in Maine. Planning from afar and on a budget is a definitely challenge - these consultations would be of phenomenal help to me! And we've discussed Napa/Sonoma as a potential honeymoon destination. I was there once and truly loved it, but did not get the chance to partake in spas and 5-star restaurants!! This giveaway is pretty amazing ... way to go SMP!

  600. Jenny says:

ooh....love Napa! What a great trip this would be! My dream destination would be a tropical island somewhere. Just a small relaxed beach wedding, but I also love napa! I think a wedding in wine country would be wonderful also.

  601. Eunice says:

I'm loving this giveaway - My dream destination wedding would be in Cebu Philippines. My mother is from there and though she is no longer with us, it would be so amazing to include her family (who otherwise would be unable to travel to the states) and her spirit as well as all of our friends in a contemporary beach wedding. I can only imagine the ridiculous amount of filipino and southern (my fiancee is from texas) food and good times (karaoke, dancing anyone?) we would share.

  602. Lauren says:

I would LOVE to have a wedding in Lucerne, Switzerland. I visited a few years ago and have been thinking about it ever since.

  603. Nicolle says:

My dream destination wedding would be Madrid, Spain. I think it is old, full of tradition, gorgeous buildings and so much culture and life! I studied abroad there in college and always wanted to go back with a husband! I would get married in an old beautiful cathedral and party til the sun came up with all of my guests...and of course we would have tapas for appetizers and churros con chocolate for dessert!

  604. Rosemary says:

If we were having a destination wedding, I think our top choice would be Yosemite. It's a very special place for the both of us -- as native Californians, we both vacationed there a lot as children with our families, and we've shared several special trips there together as well. It's one of our most favorite places to visit. I think it's one of the most naturally beautiful places on earth, and we're so lucky to have it within a day's drive!

This was a tough one though -- so many great places to visit and have a wedding! A close runner-up for a destination wedding (if my parents actually liked flying) would be somewhere in the UK -- either Oxford (where I studied abroad) or Edinburgh (where my fiance studied abroad). Both hold special places in our hearts, and it would be so lovely to have a wedding in an old, old church where all the ladies wore hats and the men were in morning suits!

  605. Ariane says:

My dream destination wedding is where I will be getting married next year, in Chama, New Mexico. My fiance and I have spent many cold springs, wet summers, colorful falls, and snowy winters there at his parents family cabin. It is by far the best place I could imagine getting married and it should be a sight to see! A mix of country, bagpipes, kilts, cowboy boots, and a tattooed bride! I can't wait.

  606. Kyla says:

Kennebunkport, Maine...and I am lucky enough to be tying the knot there! The combination of the ocean and the woods and the general New England charm is enough to make me abandon NY any chance I get. I have been there almost every year since I was 2, and I never tire of it. I also took the finace there right after we got engaged to make sure we were compatible, and he loved it just as much as me. A match made in heaven!

  607. Hillary says:

my fiance and i are getting married outside of austin, tx by the lake...it's amazing how my wedding dreams have changed since getting engaged because i really couldn't think of a better place for us to be married. we love austin and we love being by the lake...though, i still wouldn't mind getting married on the beach in monterey, california. one of my favorite places being originally from palo alto!

  608. Leah says:

I would LOVE to get married in Galway, Ireland...After visiting family there years ago, studying there in college and going back several times, I have fallen in love w/ the city's charm and gorgeous sites.

  609. Jennifer says:

if i could tie the knot anywhere.... it would be anywhere with a cool breeze and beautiful scenery!

  610. Christina says:

The charming town of Lake Forest, Illinois, is where my fiance and I are getting married, but if I could choose any place, I'd have to say it'd be Seoul, Korea—because all my relatives, including my sweet grandmother are there, and it's where I grew up. They can't make it out all the way to the States for such a short amount of time, unfortunately, but my ideal wedding would be right back at home with family!

  611. Amy says:

Like every other soul who sees this giveaway – I would LOVE to win! My fiancé and I are getting married on his family’s ranch in Santa Maria, CA in June. The following weekend, we’re having a reception in my hometown – Longview, WA. The Bardessono would be a wonderful stop on our drive North. Giveaway answer: The wedding we’ve planned is exactly my dream wedding! Personal and memorable.

  612. Elisabeth says:

If I could get married anywhere I would pick Santorini or Capri. Since I'm getting married in chilly Chicago that's just a dream!

  613. Lindsey S. says:

My dream destination wedding would be on Captiva Island in Florida. It is a breathtakingly beautiful and tiny island with dolphins playing in the surf (not kidding, we saw six dolphins on our weekend vacation!), white sand, and some of the best seashell finds in the US. It would be hard to decide between a beach wedding on Cayo Costa, an uninhabited white-sand island a short boatride away, a resort wedding, or one at the tiny island church.

  614. michele says:

my fiance and i are currently planning our wedding in beauuuutiful hawai'i... we are both from the islands, and our friends and family are either on the same island or close by. if i had to choose anywhere besides our island paradise to tie the knot, i think i'd choose santa clara... where my fiance and i met and fell in love. :)

  615. Kayla says:

What an amazing giveaway!! If I could do a destination wedding anywhere, it would be in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. We briefly considered this for our wedding, but because of family that couldn't travel we stayed local. San Juan is so special to us though-it's where we took our first vacation together as a couple, and on the three year anniversary of our vacation it is the same place we were engaged. The island itself is so beautiful and cultured, and San Juan is just such a magical, wonderful place. The magnificent cobble stone streets that rise up to El Moro, with a sweeping view of the Atlantic Ocean is something that takes my breath away every time I visit. The bright, bold buildings that hold so much history, with their tile work and paintings are enough to make you swoon at first glance. The location is the perfect combination of tropical and historical. I can just picture it in my mind-lanterns hung from the trees on the beach, bright colors, local food (mofungo is WONDERFUL)...what a dream :)

  616. Laurie says:

Our dream destination wedding would be Cles, Italy, a small mountain town in the Dolomit Mountains where my stepmom's family is from and still lives there today. Most of the apples in Italy come from orchards around this town. For me, this area is not only beautiful with amazing colors in the fall and enchanting old castles and town squares with an Austrian influence but my fiance and I both have connections to Italy. I've spent most of my life enchanted with Italy, becoming fluent in the language and living in both Florence and Venice. I loved it so much I was convinced I need to find an Italian (since I'm only a wanabee) to spend my life with. Little did I know that living 15 minutes away from me in Los Angeles for 6 years would be the most perfect man I could ever meet and...he's Italian to boot! It took me living in Italy away to make us both realize that we wanted to be with each other forever.

  617. Kellie Ann says:

Actually, Napa is my dream destination. I am from Los Angeles, CA and wanted to get married in an intimate ceremony at a vineyard in Napa, complete with amazing wine, an all organic feast, and plenty of dancing under the starts.

  618. Niki Baker says:

I think our dream destination would be Seattle, WA. That's where our love first blossomed, but it would be too tough and pricey for our families and friends to get there. I know that anywhere we end up will be the perfect spot!

  619. Arin says:

My dream destination for a wedding is Cabo San Lucas! Small, intimate gathering with only close family and friends, and of course, set in Mexico to add to the fun!

  620. Lisa says:

My dream wedding would take place in Healdsburg - Arista winery, to be exact. A gorgeous winery with super helpful staff and they are pet friendly, to boot. Unfortunately, we can't afford it and are doing our wedding and reception in San Francisco - the second best destination in my opinion, even though we already live here. Since we're not originally from San Francisco, this is a true destination wedding for most of our family and friends. We just love this beautiful city so much that we wanted to share it with everyone else.

  621. Samantha says:

Without hesitation, Napa is the only choice for me! The scenery. The weather. The wine. It is absolutely incomprehensible for any guest to choose shot glasses over those delectable and creamy chocolate macaroons from the local Bucheron bakery as party favors. Aside from the obvious, Napa holds a special place in my heart for another reason. My fiancé proposed at The French Laundry in 2008 during our first trip to Napa together. I knew instantly that I wanted to recapture the magic of that moment we shared for our wedding, only this time, with all our loved ones present to witness. We initially decided to have our wedding in Napa this past June. Unfortunately, due to economical reasons, some family members would not be able to attend. A wedding should be a joyous celebration between the betrothed couple and loved ones, so it was needless to say that we postponed it until May 2010. We could have carried out our marriage plans this past summer in our hometown of Houston instead. However, I have waited my entire life for the perfect man, so what's one more measly year to have to wait for that perfect wedding in my dream place--- Napa!?!?

  622. Samantha says:

EDIT: Sorry Mr. Keller, it's spelled "Bouchon" not "Boucheron".

  623. chorske says:

The Napa sounds like a lovely place to visit- we've never been. We still haven't decided where to go for our honeymoon... and those pictures are giving me ideas! We're total oenophiles, so it would be the perfect destination.

  624. chorske says:

I just remembered- there was another place a friend recommended: a resort called Eclipse de Mar, on Bastimentos Island, Bocas del Toro, Panama. You sleep in bungalows on stilts over the water, and the resort itself is located on a nature reserve. Now THAT is our dream honeymoon destination.

  625. Sylvia S says:

Our dream destination is Lake Tahoe, NV. Jason spent summers there growing up and has an affinity to the place and its beauty. Since we started dating we have taken every available opportunity to sneak out of LA and experience the rich variety of seasons and create our own memories at Tahoe. We would love to get married in the summer and invite friends and family out to experience the wonders of the area - from hiking and enjoying the view of the lake at the summit, to swimming, boating and Jason's favorite childhood activity - crawdad fishing!

And I love Tahoe's ever changing weather. Jason and I still laugh about the first time he took me to Tahoe in late June. The entire car trip up he was getting me excited about swimming in the lake, fishing for crawdads and enjoying the warm weather. I noticed the clouds brewing the closer we got to Tahoe, but I wasn't too bothered. But, the moment we arrived and stepped out of the car I saw flurries! We spent the next few days keeping warm inside by the fire and laughing about it. The possibility of snow at a summer wedding would definitely be a kick!!

  626. Holly S says:

This is such an amazing giveaway! I still haven't decided on the destination for my wedding, but it's between Atlanta, Savannah, GA - cities where we both are going to college and Salisbury, NC - our hometown. We love Michael Chiarello and rooted for him in the Top Chef Masters competition (loved it!). Thanks SMP!

  627. Leslie Wang says:

This giveaway is speaks right to my heart, as our dream wedding will be in Napa (Rutherford, CA) next June at Beaulieu Gardens! It's a magical place - full of California sun and Napa elegance, tucked away on a beautiful estate brimming with California French style gardens and a pool. This place is perfect for my fiance and I, who met in SF and got engaged in Big Sur, CA.

Thanks SMP for pulling this lovely package together - many of the area vendors you have pulled together for this package are truly the best in the area (we can vouch!)

  628. Jill says:

My guy and I love traveling together, but I'd actually pick a more-local spot for a destination wedding. I love the glamour of Italy or the Caribbean, but think we'd be most happy with a down-home Maine wedding. New England is beautiful, and I know both our families would be right at home near the beach, with that comfort that just emanates from the area! It would be so much fun to make a weekend of lobster bakes, family time, and the outdoors. Love!

  629. I would want to get married in Santorini, Greece since that's where my fiance proposed. It was a surprise proposal for both of us because I found the ring on accident. It is truly beautiful there and the food would be locally catering with lots of gelato!!

  630. Jessica D. says:

I would tie the knot in the beautiful White Mountains in New Hampshire where my fiance and I went on our first weekend getaway. New Hampshire is such a warm and cozy state which is the exact vibe I want out wedding to have. Now I want to jump in the car and drive 14 hours to a lake in New Hampshire...

  631. Monica says:

Wow what a giveaway! OK now that I can pop my eyes back in their socket I'll answer the question:)
Me & my BF (who are planning on getting married in Feb2011) are from different cultural backgrounds so of course both of us would love to get married in those respective countries, Colombia & Portugal. But you can only have one wedding & since most of our friends & family are in Toronto, Canada where we reside I would be as happy getting married here! On top of that we want a Winter wedding (crazy canucks LOL) because I think a Winterland theme would be gorgeous. Throw in a few cultural elements & we would be happy...now we just have to figure out how to do that but this giveways sure offers alot of help (& yes I have time to plan).

  632. Monica says:

sorry updated my info with correct site address

  633. Caitlin says:

What an amazing giveaway. Out of anywhere I would choose wine country Sonoma, CA. It is so beautiful there and the perfect location for a warm summer wedding. I feel so lucky to have been born in raised in Sonoma County!

  634. Heather says:

My dream destination wedding location would be Ireland. I think it would be so romantic to get married near ancient castles!

  635. Kendra says:

If money were no object, my fiance and I would still choose to get married where we will be having our wedding next year, in Santa Cruz, Ca. We both grew up there, and met there in high school. Our families are there. There are too many reasons to love Santa Cruz to not get married there!!

  636. Ana says:

I think if I could get married in any city in the world it would be in the Tuscan countryside in Italy. I lived there for a year during college and it was just so exquisitely, naturally beautiful. We're getting married next summer in Tahoe, which definitely has a more close-to-home natural beautiful of its own.

  637. Yudith says:

My dream wedding has always been a sunset ceremony on a beach in Bali with just my husband and I. Then we would have a candlelit dinner on the cliff overlooking the ocean with the waves splashing on the background and the gamelan serenading us. Since my husband's parents are older and can not travel overseas and my husband wanted them there, we got married on Mackinac Island (as close to the water as we could get in the Mid West!).

  638. Nancy says:

Sigh. Napa is fabulous, but my dream wedding would be in Florence, on a hillside. With local wine and cheese, and a nice tiramisu for our cake. My fiance's family is from Italy, so that would be a plus! Napa would be a nice substitute, though....

  639. Katey Lund says:

Napa is great, although I've only driven through- I'd love to stay sometime. We're getting married nearby so maybe that will be my chance. :)

  640. Jinnie says:

Napa is where I want to go for our honeymoon, actually. :) We're getting married in Seattle (which I love), but if I had to choose a dream destination, it'd be either Jeju Island in South Korea or Paris. Jeju Island, because our parents are from there and it'd be extra special to tie the knot at our parent's homeland... it's very similar to Hawaii... it'd be a beautiful. Paris, because... who doesn't love Paris? We fell in love w/ everything there when we vacationed & thats where we seriously started talking about marriage... so, It's played a sort of theme in our proposal, too... :)

  641. Kikay says:

I would love to honeymoon in Napa. We're getting married in December but we still don't have plans for our honeymoon!

  642. Kim Turbeville says:

New Orleans has always been a place so dear to mine and my fiance's heart. It was the first trip we took together where we strolled Royal street laughing and dreaming about buying some of the amazing antiques they offer. Breakfast at Cafe DuMonde on an early morning talking about our committment to each other and what our future held. Touring the Garden District on our limited budget. And it is within a four to five hour drive for our friends and family which would make the wedding more affordable in terms of them attending. So New Orleans with all its charm, romance and even crazy fun it has to offer would be our desitination wedding choice

  643. Elle says:

    Hi There!
My fiance and i had originally planned on getting married , this February, in Manuel Antonio Cost Rica. We discovered an amazing villa on a cliff with enough room to house our family which would also hold the reception. The wedding would have been on the beach, at sunset while listening to the strumming of a Spanish guitar. As a recently unemployed fashion designer with champagne tastes and a beer budget my dream destination of Cost Rica is now not possible. Now, we are thinking of a quirky little cabin in upstate NY. Something intimate and artistic.

  644. June Won says:

I'm so excited to have found your blog. You showcase a lot of different styles that I'd love to pick and choose from to create my own wedding in November 2010. We're starting early, but I love your blog! We're not sure where we're having our wedding in Chicago quite yet, but we're on the lookout, because we have a very, super, crazy small budget. I'm hoping we can pull it off!

  645. hello there says:

san francisco or brooklyn. so many good memories for us in both places.

  646. KP says:

Dream wedding would be a castle in Ireland. Napa would be a very close 2nd though!

  647. Veronica says:

Napa is great, but if i could get married at my dream location i think it would have to be Bora Bora it is so beautiful. We are getting married two cities away from our home town we can't wait for March 2010

  648. Jennifer Cohen says:

How fabulous! I just got engaged last friday and just started planning the wedding, we are definitely going to do a destination and have been looking into different locations. I am really loving the Excellence Playa Mujeres in Isla Mujeres, Mexico. I would love to win this wonderful contest. I am loving this blog as well...as I am newly engaged, I have a lot to learn and find online.

  649. Abby says:

My dream location is scottsdale, az- four seasons style. we got engaged at the resort, and with my love of all things succulent, it would be a dream come true! thank you for the opportunity!

  650. Sara G. says:

What a wonderful giveaway! Heath Ceramics, Hello!Lucky, Napa Style? What's not to love? We are lucky enough to be planning our wedding in Sonoma County (neighbor of Napa) where we were both raised and still live today. However, because we are both of Scottish heritage we would love to get married there! We already have plans for he and the groomsmen to wear kilts so why not? :-)

  651. Kristy says:

I'm so lucky because i GET to be married in my favorite place in the world- Key West Florida- on February 13th! Beautiful weather, right along the ocean and a FUN, LAID back locations. What more could anyone want (or at least what more could I want...)

  652. Janine says:

Any city in the world, and my fiance would be happy with it, and my wedding party would all be able to attend?

In that strange world I'd be torn.
Port Meirion in Wales (for ocean, gardens, illusionary statues/etc., and -- of course -- because I'm a total geek who loved The Prisoner)? Or maybe somewhere in either Greece or Malta....

  653. Ashley says:

With all of the memories we have shared in the mountains, standing next to my fiancé under a Colorado blue sky and surrounded by Rocky Mountains, makes the town of Breckenridge our dream wedding destination. We are thrilled to be making that dream come true by celebrating our wedding in Breck next summer and we thank you for sharing amazing inspiration to help us make our celebration perfect!

  654. Miss Lissy says:

I am fortunate enough that my fiancee and I are planning our wedding in our dream destination of New Ulm, MN. I know, it's a small city and out of the way, but it has meaning for both of us and it is absolutely gorgeous. Also, it's a great mid point between my family (from Wisconsin) and his (from Alberta).

  655. Katerina says:

Our dream is to get married in Europe, since we started dating and got engaged there. Seville is our favorite city - I saw so many weddings there when I was visiting, and I felt like the city was really made for me. It was absolutely perfect.

  656. nem says:

I was born in Puerto Rico, but have never been back. I would love to be married and honeymoon there, exploring the beauty, culture and history, as well as my roots. Hubby-to-be loves to scuba, so that would be a nice bonus. Plus, no passport required!

  657. Brittney says:

Ireland would be my dream destination wedding. I've always dreamt of getting married where my ancestors got married. My dream for my destination wedding is to have my family stay in one place (house) together and have an experience vs. an event to go to. I've been engaged for 9 months and I'm still trying to figure out how or when to make this work for us. We're looking at next summer, but at this rate it might need to be pushed a year because it's been so hard to sit and focus on all the details that are involved in planning a destination wedding-especially when you work full time and weekends to save up for the wedding! I'm actually orginially from the bay area and have family in Napa, but still can't shake my dream of an Ireland wedding!

  658. kissakeebs says:

Kiawah Island, South Carolina would be my perfect wedding destination. It is the perfect vacation spot--private, but not pretentious, natural but not unkept. And the Sanctuary hotel is to die for!

  659. uglygirl says:

If transporting all my guests there was not a problem, I would want to be married in the estate where Brideshead Revisited was filmed (the TV seres and the film remake). There is amazing artwork there as well as some fountains and beautiful grounds to traipse around in wearing wedding finery.

  660. Beth says:

If I could choose anywhere in the world for a destination wedding it would have to be Provence, France. The charm and romance of that area is unbelievable and then for the honeymoon just travel north to Paris or south to the Riviera or for that matter both directions would be an unbelievable dream. The quaintness and elegance of France is dreamy, the food beyond divine, and the history and architecture is too fabulous. It has it all and especially if you could go anywhere....

  661. Sarah says:

If I could choose anywhere in the world to get married, it would be Pago Pago, Samoa. I am part samoan, but my father has never gotten the chance to visit Samoa, nor have I ever met any of my cousins from Samoa. I would love to add the Samoan customs into the wedding and for it to have a tropical vibe while it still being totally and completely reverent to my grandmother, whom I wish I'd known for longer than the short time I knew her.

  662. Dave says:

I'd get married in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I'm visiting here for work right now (originally from San Francisco) and it's an amazingly beautiful culture and city (even though I speak very little Spanish). A rooftop in Palermo or or a park in Recoleta would be ideal!

  663. Katie says:

Hmmm.....any place in the world...I would have to choose Clayoquot Wilderness Resort in Tofino, British Columbia. This place is truly divine! Being surrounded by such spectacular natural beauty on the most important day for us as a couple would be a dream come true.
Thanks for the opportunity to enter this incredible style me pretty drawing and congratulations to the winner of such a fantastic prize! enjoy!

  664. Jessica says:

I could think of many amazing beaches we would love to be married on but we decided on where we live - Las Vegas. We knew all of our friends would be thrilled to come here and now we get to really show off our town and celebrate with everyone in style under the neon lights. Cheers.

  665. Jackie says:

If I could choose my dream destination wedding spot it would be in Paris. My fiance and I went to Europe as our first big trip together. We always talked about spending more time exploring the beautiful countryside surrounding Paris.

    Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

  666. Sabrina says:

While I’m so happy to be planning my destination wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic at the Paradisus Palma Real on June 5, 2010, my dream destination would be Havana, Cuba. Since I was young girl, I’ve had a fascination with all things Cuba: vintage cars, beautiful beaches, cigars and its vintage feel. This fascination comes from knowing that my grandmother is of Cuban descent and as a American, I can never see the origin of her heritage. So, my dream location would be to explore a part of my heritage while marrying my soul mate on a beautiful beach in Havana.

I hope to travel there one day if the travel requirements for US citizens ever change. In the meantime, we’ve channeled the island by featuring Chan Chan by the Buena Vista Social Club on our wedding website (http://www.terrenceandsabrina.com )

  667. Annie says:

What a lovely giveaway! My fiance and are are thinking of honeymooning in Napa!

We'll be getting married here in the states next year, but if I could have my dream destination wedding it would be in the Seychelles. Maybe we'll do a vow renewal there someday...

  668. Andrea Steiner says:

My dream destination would either have to be in the small town of Dubrovnik, in Croatia or at the Cinderella-inspired castle, Schloss Neuschwanstein in Germany.
Dubrovnik offers gorgeous architecture with stunning cliffs and reefs and a rich history. It has been described as "the pearl of the Adriatic" with an enchanting beauty. On the other hand, a destination wedding at the Schloss Neuschwanstein castle in Germany, built to resemble a medieval knight's castle with a Romanesque style sits amongst the Alps on a hill. Disney's castle was inspired by this castle in Northern Bavaria, is located on Romantic Road.
Hopefully I will visit these beautiful sites one day.

  669. Loren Rozakos says:

My dream wedding would be at a local winery in Napa, California in the late afternoon on a autumn September Saturday. I love the idea of incorporating the natural rustic landscapes and earht colors throughtout the event in the smallest of details.

Thanks for the chance to enter your fabulous giveaway!

  670. Lydia says:

I think my dream wedding would be in the middle of nowhere, by a mountain lake in Canada. It seems like it would be so dreamy and romantic to be married with mountains, and reflections of mountains all around! I can just imagine myself walking down the grassy aisle with my Dad, surrounded by the people I love, toward the man of my dreams! There is a slight breeze, and the scent of autumn is on the wind, and it's perfect.

  671. Laura Stewart says:

    great looking stuff !!

  672. HPS says:

If I could fly all my friends and family anywhere in the world, I would tie the knot at my partner's ancestral home on the beaches in Goa, India. Beautiful!

  673. martha says:

If I could be married anywhere...I would be married at my family's farm in the old cotton gin...I am too paranoid to have an outdoor wedding though! God Bless the brave brides, the risk is worth the reward! (although I'm still too chicken, not to mention a tent really isn't in my budget!!) :D

  674. Amy says:

My dream wedding is going to be in Bali, Indonesia. My fiance and I have made our home in Singapore, but I'm currently working in Mexico; my mom is in LA; my dad is in Shanghai; my two best friends, in New York and Beijing -- so Bali will be a wonderful, retreat for everyone to finally reunite and unwind. Then we're going to have our honeymoon in Napa, where my fiance and I met!

  675. Jodie says:

Ideal Destination wedding would HAVE to be Greece..we absolutely love the people, beautiful architecture and natural beauty! We are planning to honeymoon there after our wedding next summer.

  676. Mary says:

I would get married in Cashel, Ireland, at the little abbey down the road from the Rock of Cashel. I visited there when I was 12, and was instantly mystified with the area. It helps that my family came from a teeny tiny village near there. I imagine them traveling to the "big" town of Cashel before they ultimately immigrated. It would be a dream to get married somewhere so breathtakingly beautiful, and so closely tied to my roots and my passions for celtic music and culture.

  677. Elisa York says:

What a beautiful give away! The absolute dearest place to have a dream wedding would have to Beynac France for me. I've seen pictures of it over at Stephmodo.blogspot.com. It has a countryside that is beautiful, an old castle and a medieval town with quaint shops. It is a romantic little village with alot of history. Thank you!

  678. Debbie says:

You are so incredibly generous. I know this will make someone out there feel very lucky and blessed. I love how classy this give away is. My parents would love it. My fiance would love it. My grandmother would love it. Everyone can take part!!

  679. Jenn K. says:

We decided against a destination wedding because it was really important to have our friends and family with us. However, if we had unlimited funding and could help our family and friends make a trip we would get married in Italy. Probably some place like La Cinque Terre. Our wedding would be full of Italian charm with a family style dinner and lots of wine and cheese. I would love to walk with the entire wedding party and guests from a charming little church through the town to the place we would have dinner and dancing, how romantic.

  680. ann says:

My sister and I are both engaged, so one of us winning this would be awesome! My dream wedding is on a mountaintop meadow in Colorado.

  681. Kolby says:

My destination wedding would be in the redwoods forest!

  682. Kimberly says:

I realize I could pick a location anywhere in the world, but having been raised in the US and met my wonderful fiance in the US, it would not feel right to leave the country to be wed.

However, I would definitely leave the state of Oklahoma (where we both live) if I could have it any way. I would love to have it in San Francisco, CA. Specifically, Chinatown. I am Asian-American and my fiance is all-American, and it would be a great location to do a traditional Asian wedding, where the groom's party would have to walk to the bride, bearing gifts. The photography would be gorgeous, especially since it's naturally decorated with all the colorful and beautiful clothes stringed across all the buildings of Chinatown.

  683. Kim says:

I would get married on the beach close enough that all of my friends and family could come. Also with an endless budget so we could eat maryland blue craps and filet mian.

  684. Julie says:

If we could get married anywhere in the world it would have to be the chapel of Aghios Loannis on Skopelos Island in Greece! This is the amazing and beautiful chapel that was featured in the movie Mamma Mia. It's such a unique and stunning place and getting married there would just be magical!

  685. sonya says:

I would be married where I grew up spending summers on the coast of Salmon River , Nova Scotia. The coast is untouched and the smell of the fields and sea are so close to my heart.

  686. Brianna says:

I'd love to get married in one of the little town churches in one of the villages in Cinque Terre, Italy. He proposed while we were visiting that region in May! (Yeah, I've got a good one.) Actually though, we're planning what will be a destination wedding in Seattle. (For my side of the family at least, and since we might be moving soon, it might be a destination wedding for us too!)

  687. Kieran says:

What a hard thing to narrow down! I think the best place I can think of to get married would have to be Prince Edward Island. Even the parking lots there are beautiful! I would love a wedding in the country near the shore line.
However, the likelyhood of my actually affording a destination wedding is very slim, so I am happy to have my wedding on my parents' land, here in Texas.

  688. Hannah says:

Honestly, if I could get married anywhere, I'd still choose our actual location. My dear boy and I met during college and spent much of our time involved in campus ministry. We are getting married in the church where we prayed, served, and fell in love with each other. The campus church has gorgeous stained glass and fond memories tucked away in the stones. <3

Thank you for offering such an amazing giveaway and thank you to all the vendors! What a gift!

  689. Michelle says:

When I was 12, I told my mom that I wanted to get married on Jeju-do island, which is off the southern tip of South Korea. Ironically, now that I'm living in Korea, I would love to get hitched on an island of the U.S. (my home country)... Maui, Hawaii. Although Napa looks so charming as well, from these beautiful sites/vendors. I am loving Heath Ceramics!! As always, thanks for the great tips, design/style ideas... everything!

  690. Jasmine says:

If I could be married anywhere, I would one of the five towns in Cinque Terre, Italy. Located on the coast in Northern Italy, the ceremony would be held by the shimmering water of the Mediterranean Sea. Food would include fresh seafood cooked perfectly. Every meal would be finished with delicious Italian gelato. The beauty of Cinque Terre is that there is so much to do as a group. Beyond eating and drinking, we would hike the towns together, enjoy the beaches, and soak-up the sights of each town.

  691. DJ says:

I agree: Napa! (for wine, anyway). Of course, Williamsburg VA figures prominently as well..

  692. Ruby says:

If I could have a dream destination wedding anywhere...where all the people I loved could attend... hands down it would be the island of Santorini in Greece! This location exudes romance with fairytale-like villages, shimmering turquoise water and remarkable sunsets. I also love that the Greek Islands show a representation of contrasts (like a true Gemini I am always pulled in two directions) such as the new and old world, fantasy and reality as well as being the middle ground location of where the east meets west in the world (since I am from Asian decent and my fiancé is from Western European descent). I also love the theory that the crescent-shaped island was originally full moon-shaped and that the missing part of Santorini is thought to have been the legendary island Atlantis or as many would say the "lost paradise." What a dream it would be to look into my fiancé’s eyes on our wedding day knowing we were starting our life together in such a magical and special place!

  693. ilse says:

My dream location is actually not far from the beautiful (read: amazing, lush, gorgeous...) Napa valley. San Francisco. I love San Francisco because it is so personal to me; I grew up two hours south of here and it ended up being the city I fell in Love in, 4 years ago. It is surrounded by such natural beauty with the crashing waves, expansive bridges across the bay, and the lush parks in every area of the city. I love that it feels like a city, but still is broken down into digestible neighborhoods. I always say that it is big enough that you can get lost in it, and small enough that you can be found. There is so much energy in San Francisco, and I absolutely love that there is also so much heritage. Even if they are slightly touristy to some, I find great charm in the Cable cars, the Saturday Farmers' Market down at the Ferry Building, and a great pizza in North beach. I think it is the perfect city for a wedding because there is so much love, and to be loved, all around. Thank you SMP for such an amazing giveaway! Incredible as always.

  694. Rina Mae says:

My dream wedding location would be Bali, Indonesia. As a San Francisco Bay Area native currently residing in the Netherlands, Bali would be an exotic place that would definitely be a lifetime experience for all our American and European guests. Bali a place that not only resonates nostalgia, but where time hides away and beauty is gradually revealed through its picturesque vistas, friendly people, and gourmand delicacies.

As the photographers of the gorgeous wedding stated, "the visual communicates far more effectively than the written word". Enjoy!

  695. Leanna says:

My dream wedding would be where both are families (and friends) are all together to share in the special day with good food, good music and just surrounded by lots of love. I am from Texas, he is from Connecticut and we live in NYC so finding "our perfect spot "was difficult but we did it. Our perfect spot is in the Catskill Mountains of New York in the autumn when the leaves are turning and the scenery is just majestic. Most of our family can stay on site so it will really be a family affair from the beginning of the weekend on Friday till the departure on Sunday morning. We would of loved Napa but it would be so far for all of our family and friends we decided that is where part of our honeymoon should be! I am so excited to relax in the wine country after the wedding w/ lots of yummy wine. Thank you Style me pretty for being a constant inspiration during this crazy thing called wedding plannig.

  696. 3tobe says:

My dad is ill, so my dream wedding is when and where he is recovered and himself again, and able to enjoy sharing in the start of our new life together. The rest is gravy.

  697. stine_white says:

My dream wedding would be anywhere that I could get both families and all of our friends to travel to and celebrate with us. As it is, we will be having two celebrations because we won't be able to get visas for all of his family and a lot of my family and our friends won't/can't travel that far. But I guess having multiple celebrations just makes us lucky. :)

  698. lizawynne says:

There is a small town in Northern England - in the peak district - called Wildboarclough. When my fiance told me we would be spending our first new years there with his family, I didn't believe him. It sounded like a place from Narnia, and when I arrived, sure enough, it lived up to its name. This is where we have spent every new years together since and where he proposed last January. It is simply a magical place, that I truly wanted to share with my friends and family on our wedding day. However, due to the remoteness of this location, logistics became too difficult and we had to find a new location. Luckily, we both had a backup in mind, Harbour Island, Bahamas. Also remote, rustic and cozy - we have settled into this new location quite nicely. Logistically things still remain difficult, as I operate on "U.S. time" and they operate on "island time," but with the ideas and inspiration that I have found on Style Me Pretty and all the Web sites you have suggested, my mom and I have become our own wedding planners with life size inspiration boards currently taking up half my living room!!

I would love to get married in England quite honestly...but if I had to stay in the U.S.....well then...I'd probably either pick here: KY or go to maybe Massachusetts.

Ever since I posted in here about San Francisco, I have had it on the mind; why it is the perfect city to get married in. I think what brings me back to it is that it is so unique. While there is no shortage of hotel or "venue" spaces, there are also so many truly San Francisco locations waiting to hold a wedding. The Presidio, which has such old world charm, would give your guests a true sense of San Francisco heritage, and a side less visited by tourists, as would Golden Gate Park, or Foreign Cinema, which projects old movies onto a wall. Above all, it is such a romantic city. What a great city to be in love in! I can really picture an SF wedding..Thanks again SMP, if for nothing else, the Wednesday morning daydream of my perfect San Francisco wedding! (it's top of my list:)

If money were no object (and my grandparents didn't refuse to fly!), I would definitely get married in Granada, Nicaragua. This is where my fiance's family is from and I would love the opportunity to learn more about their culture. The city is filled with some of the oldest and most beautiful churches in the world, and would be the perfect setting for my dream wedding. I also know it would mean a lot to my fiance for us to recognize his heritage at our wedding, and what better way than to start our lives together than in the birthplace of his family!

  703. Anna says:

Ooh, hope I'm not too late for this one. I have to go with the Provence region in France...possibly the most romantic place on earth!

  704. Sara says:

I'm happy that we're getting married in Chicago, but if I could get married anywhere I would have to say Paris. It's the ultimate romantic city. I'm picturing a vintage-themed wedding with a pale pink, cream and gold color palette. Le sigh.

  705. jc says:

The dreamiest place to get married would be on safari in Kenya. Tents, fires, wild animals, rugged terrain and African cuisine would be a wedding to remember and an amazing experience to share with loved ones.

Yowza, what an amazing giveaway!!! My finace and I have spent the last 2 months going round and round about where on earth to get married. And by earth, I really mean earth. From Palm Springs, CA to Croatia, from Kyoto, Japan to the coast of Maine. Napa Valley was definitely one since I live in SF, but also Blue Hill Farm in upstate NY. Also Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Hawaii and Vermont. Help me! Ack!

  707. Shelley Jourdan says:

NAPPA VALLEY HANDS DOWN! I'm from Louisiana and the closest I've been to California is the wonderful pics posted on this website. All of my favorites seem to be somewhere in Southern California. Reminds me of that movie..."A Walk in the Clouds."

  708. Carrie Griffith says:

Grand Canyon or Sedona Arizona. Both places are absolutely beautiful and the scenery would make for amazing photos!

  709. Fitri says:

Bergen, Norway. I find the Scandinavia very fascinating, and Norway's rustic charms are simply perfect for an intimate wedding.

  710. Amy says:

My dream destination would be Charleston, SC. Absolutely beautiful!

If I could tie the knot anywhere in the world, it would definitely be in Filadelfia, Italy. It's a small town close to the tip of the boot. I have family there that I have never met, and apparently my grandfather and his brother own vineyards and land there! It has always been my dream to visit, and if I could have a romantic vineyard wedding as my first trip, I would be thrilled!
