I am on a whimsical kick today…featuring affairs that don’t take themselves too seriously, that are filled to the brim with spirit, spunk and charm. So when Jeremy Lawson sent me this particular soiree early today, you know I scrambled to get it right up! It’s absolutely adorable and anyone who is looking to have a little fun with their wedding will seriously fall in love…

The wedding was held in the bride’s backyard at her parents house on Lake Geneva. Even Jeremy said that there were so many details, he felt like he was on a scavenger hunt. I love that! And to be honest, any bride that serves fries at their wedding is A-OK in my gook!

And I la la looooove that guests threw colorful confetti as the bride and groom made their way out. SUCH a cute little gesture of celebration. There are so many elements of this wedding that remind me of a birthday party and the confetti is one of the best. I love the pure and honest nature of the design, the spunky approach to wedding planning and the all out personality that just shines through every image. Jeremy did such a great job at capturing the day!

Thanks for sending my way, Jeremy!! To see more from this wedding, click right here!
You are 100% correct....this is the cutest, most personality-filled wedding I have ever seen. This bride obviously knocked herself out for months creating all the charming details for her special day. What a complete pleasure!! I was lucky enough to attend this magical wedding. I am the bride's mom.
Adore the candid shot of the man making a shade out of the program.
This wedding is too much fun and so beautiful!! I absolutely love the table numbers!!
This wedding is so whimsical and fun! Love it. I especially love the idea of writing a message on the chalkboard at the "photo booth" and the table numbers are adorable too. Too much fun! Almost makes me want to do it all over again.
LOVE the use of the Heather Bailey fabric as a background. That chalk board idea is the CUTEST!!!
So fun! I like the dad's "I'm paying" shot at the bottom right. Lol.
I love this! It's so adorable and fun. I love the table numbers with the little birds and the fries...yum!
Not a detail was missing. Cuteness at every turn! The entire day was filled with love for the creative bride and groom.
Awww...I love the photo of the very elegant older lady (grandma, perhaps? :) wiping away a happy tear...so sweet!
Thanks for all the sweet compliments, ladies! I'm so happy and flattered that people liked our wedding!
YAY Wisconsin!!!! I LOVE the corn-on-the-cob favor! TOO good!!! And the "I LOVE CAKE" girl looks like Benni...? LOVE the little birdies and the old man with the program on his head (LOL!), and the chalkboards with pretty fabric, and, well, ALL of it! What's the story behind the tiger head? And why hasnt anyone else asked that yet??
Thanks, obsessed! The tiger is because I went to Princeton for college and the mascot is a tiger. We had a Jewish wedding and it is a custom at more traditional weddings for the guests to "entertain" the bride and groom and make them happy by doing silly things. My wonderful cousin was a great sport and rented a complete tiger costume and wore it for some of the dancing at the party. It was a big hit and he definitely succeeded in entertaining us!
how fun! i adore the chalkboard and fabric background for the snapshots :O) it looks like it was a very enjoyable and unforgettable wedding. and, you know, those are the very best kind!
Oh my goodness! This looks like such a happy day!
What a beautiful fun wedding. Congrats Hannah!! Can you tell me where the bm dresses are from?
Amanda-- The bridesmaids dresses are from J.Crew and the color was "sunflower." I loved how they looked!
Well, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! :)
Such an adorable couple! My fave pics are of the dancing. It was clearly a joyous celebration for everyone involved.
I love the bride's dress! I am so glad that dresses with straps are making a comeback (are they?). Any idea on the designer? I'd love to know!
Jennifer-- the dress was designed by Augusta Jones, a British designer. Hope that helps!
I love everything about this wedding. I was even considering the same Heather Bailey fabric for my photo backdrop!! Love seeing it "in action". Beautiful wedding, absolutely adorable details.
Oh my, the fabric backdrops and chalkboard are brilliant! The color and creativity are displayed so lovingly here!
Great details shots. Love the lighting and the softness!

I love the picture when grandma cried. Nice shots!
This is a great example of how each bride can put her own personality into her wedding and make it a very memorable event! Whether fancy or simple make it your day!
GREAT picture of the Dad! "I'm Paying" Hahaha.
WOW!! I don't think you hear from guys often, but I had to let you know this was the most creative wedding EVER highlighted on SMP. My partner and I can't wait to copy all your brilliant ideas. Just fab.
mmm. french fries. I LOVE the idea of giving away corn as favors...I am located in VT and that would work well here as well!
This wedding looks like it was an absolute ball of fun! I burst into peals of laughter at the very last photograph ("I'm paying"). Congratulations to the newlyweds!
Oh Hannah!! Your wedding was gorgeous. Your wedding: genuine, fun, filled with love, laughter, family and friends. It was not cookie cutter, or filled with pretense. How charming! I adore it! So Amélie!
Eeeeep! I had the utmost privilege of being the Wedding Coordinator for this wedding and let me tell you!!! FUN FUN FUN FUN!!!! It was a coordinator's dream come true for finally having a bride that jumped outside of the "traditional" box and have it all come together so wonderfully. Jeremy Lawson did an amazing job catching the atmosphere of this marriage and event. And I mean, really, what other coordinator out there got to arrange piles of corn for favors!?! Congrats Hannah on being featured on Style Me Pretty!
Looks like a lot of fun, very happy and fun day!
where are the table numbers from?? in love!
Chris, I made the table numbers. If you're interested I can explain to you how I did it!
lovely post
Wow Hannah, I'd love to know how you made those table numbers! Looks like some great woodworking skills maybe?
This looks like sooo much fun! There needs to be more fun in weddings.
For anyone who is interested-- for the table numbers, first i ordered wooden numbers and spray painted them the colors i wanted them to be. After they were dry, I glued these little L-shaped metal brackets to the back bottom of the numbers (to make them stand up). Then i took little cheap tupperware containers (like gladware), turned then upside down and spray painted them dark green. When those were dry, I glued the numbers to the top (really the bottom) of the tuppeware containers by gluing the metal bracket bottom to the tuppeware (now one side of the L is glued to the number and one side is glued to the tupperware). I had to tape the bracket to the tupperware to secure it upright until it dried-- once they were dry, they stayed on their own. After this, I glued moss all over the tupperware. (I bought the bags of moss and the wooden numbers from a website called "crafts etc.") After the moss was dry, I glued my little birdies onto the moss and the numbers. I forget where exactly i ordered them from, but i just googled "feather birds" and a bunch of places come up. I think maybe part of the name was "floral trims?" That's it! There's a lot of steps, and they're sort of delicate once they're done, but it's not too hard. The only annoying part was dealing with the moss, which was very messy-- and it was hard to evenly cover the tupperware. But they turned out OK. There are probably lots of other ways to do it, but that was the easiest way I could think of to make the numbers stand up and the cheapest/simplest base I could find.... I hope that is clear and helps anyone who was interested!
Hi Hannah! I love love love the fries! I'm dying to have fries at my wedding (my mom thinks they will get soggy :(!....where did you get the vases / jars? for the flowers? they are exactly what I am looking for!!! You did a fabulous job!! Love it!
Hi kelly-- the fries worked out fine, and were a big hit, i think. But I hear you on the sogginess,,, we also had funnel cakes, and I hear they got a little soggy because the guy was pre-frying them. Oh well. For flowers, we used blue glass mason jars and vintage milk bottles (wisconsin... dairy... that was the thought). We just collected them at different antique stores/flea markets around chicago and wisconsin. Sorry I can't be more specific-- it was just a lot of hunting and gathering, really. But we did find some stores and flea markets where we were able to get a lot at once. Good luck! I have a friend who used all milk glass vases for her flowers and she found almost all of them at goodwills around boston for ridiculously cheap-- like 50 cents a vase..... Ours were usually a few dollars per jar/bottle. Hope that helps!
thanks Hannah!! What are you doing with the vases now? Would you be interested in selling them to me? i love them!!
I love this wedding! The chalkboard idea was very clever.
Some great ideas here. Wish I had seen the chalkboard one before my own wedding. Glad I stumbled onto this site.
[...] it! I recently spotted this photo booth over at Style Me Pretty that was set up during this whimsical wedding. A bright fabric backdrop + a chalkboard = my NEW favorite version of the photo booth [...]
Hannah I love your headband. Where did you get it? Your wedding looks fun!
Briana, I had the headband made by a local dressmaker out of lace from my mother's wedding dress. I gave her a plain white satin headband from J.Crew and she used that as a mold and covered it with the lace and added ribbons. Hope that helps!
Kelly, the mason jars/vases are sort of all scattered now. A lot of friends and family took them home from the wedding.... I'm sorry I can't be more helpful on this!
Just about fell out of my chair with the level of cute-ness going on here!!! GREAT JOB!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the photo area with the fabric behind it! Was it a DIY thing? I've been searching for DIY photo ideas for my reception and this is adorable.
