Fashion Shoot by Carla Ten Eyck

I love, love, love our New England vendors. They collaborate on SO many fun projects and always let each other’s creativity and style really shine. My mom was actually poking around Carla Ten Eyck’s site the other day and just happened upon this incredible fashion shoot that so many of our vendors worked on…and I knew that I had to share!

We have the full list of vendors coming up next, but I did want to quickly mention that SO many of our Little Black Book members helped to style this event. The oh-so-lovely Candice Dowling of Jubilee Events, the AMAZING Beth Chapman of The White Dress by the Shore, Blush Floral Design, Flower Upon Flour and Tom Morlock at Vantage Point Films…ALL incredible vendors that we love very much here on SMP.

I love how these pictures look like they were taken in the 1940s!! Does anyone know if there is a setting on a camera or maybe on photoshop that creates this vintage look with the photos? Just let me know!! I'm hoping to get a nice digital camera in the near future and wanted to learn as much as I can!!

I love love love this old school, vintage looks. And my favorite color is pink so it's already got a place in my heart.

For the vintage photo look, I believe you can do this through filters in Photoshop. I'm not a Photoshop expert, but I believe you could apply a graininess filter and/or a de-saturate the colors. -- in order to get the look of the third from the last photo. Just play around with the filters to see what works. The other photos are just different lighting. The second photo is just focusing on the foreground so that the couple is out of focus.

  5. I love the china. the mix matched look. gorgeous

I adore the Marie Antoinette movie with Kirsten Dundst. The colors are magnificent and the dinnerwear and colors in this shoot match the same feel of the movie. I LOVE it!! What a wedding it would be if stylized after the movie. Decadent and dripping with candy colors.
