I just visited the Crate and Barrel near my house and couldnt get enough of the bamboo topped candles! I'd walk away and come back and walk away and come back again! Its definitely a clean and light scent, perfect to have near the bathroom or even the entry way of my home!

  4. Ashley says:

I'm pretty much addicted to Crate & Barrel. I've spent so much time shopping there for wedding decor, that they actually know me by name now! My wedding isn't until July 2010, so I still have some time before I get to register, but myy favorites of the fall collection have to be the Rowan Candleholders, Lume Candleholders, the Fossil Marble Cheese board, and the Tristen Table...it's to die for!

  5. Shannon says:

I LOVE the Rowen 18x18 Pillow to spice up my couch and to give my living a new look. Also love the Tamara Linen Shower Curtain and really all of that Tamara patterned stuff they have for the bedroom and bathroom. And Table in a Bag - Red, PEFECT for tailgates and picnics! And to go with my table i'd have to get the green wire Picnic Basket! LOVE it ALL! So cute. Thanks for the option to win these towels.

  6. Michelle says:

Those glass candleholders are what we are using for the wedding! We bought tooooonns of them for all of the tables! I can't wait to put them all over my house afterwards!

  7. Jenni says:

Oh goodness I love Crate and Barrel!
    1. The stand mixer. Sigh...hellow lover...
    2. The glass beverage jar for all those yummy sangria cocktails
    3. The Loop bed. GORGEOUS! It would look amazing in our bedroom. :)
    4. The Boka Table Lamp. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the green!

  8. JD says:

    1. Sloane Leaning Bookcase (I'm not sure how they'd bring that to the reception!)
2.Belmont kitchen Island (if our new kitchen is big enough!)
    3. Brighton Storage bench with cushion
    4. Bud vases, classic and indispensable!

  9. Lauren says:

I was just at Crate & Barrel the other day buying something for a friends wedding and was having to talk myself out of quite a few items. I love the Bravada Hurricane holders, the Ankara Chair, the tomato slice bowls, and the Mirabel Decanter. All unique yet classic and fun!

  10. Heather says:

It's unfortunate that we registered at C&B months ago :( What a fantastic prize!

We're having a cocktail reception and all of my "centerpieces" are a mixture of those candle holders. They're gorgeous!

  11. June says:

I love crate and barrel and think it's the perfect store to get ideas for jazzing up our new home. Here are four of my favorites:
    1) Boka Persimmon Table Lamp (great accent piece for a girl who loves that orange)
    2) Flare Mango Wood Salad Bowl (looks so organic and perfect for our big California farmers' market salads)
    3) Staccato Creamer and Sugar Bowl (so sweet!)
    4) And I've actually been coveting those Organic Turkish Bath Towels since I started my registry--loove being able to indulge and do good by the earth all at once!!

  12. Courtney says:

    1. Edge Flute. There isn't a cooler champagne flute out there.
    2. Parsons Floor Mirror. I love how mirrors open up a room!
    3. Oslo Crystal Candle holders. really cool and beautifully modern.
    4. Mesa Leather Recliner. I normally hate recliners, but this doesn't look like one and is so comfortable that after sitting down in in at the store I had to do some serious willing to get myself back up!

  13. Molly says:

I absolutely love C&B! I could probably spend hours there....and spend my lifesavings! Here's my four favorite's for outside the kitchen:

    1. Rustic Fireplace Tool Set - I have a fireplace in my condo, but have been poking at it with grill tools....embarrassing, I know!
    2. Sedona totes - these are versatile and fit into the decor of every room!
    3. Duncan Chandelier - why not register for a chandelier for your new dining room?
    4. Outdoor Umbrella - I'm dying for an outdoor umbrella stand and cover!

  14. Heidi says:

    1. Mesh Bulletin Board. Wow this could come in handy in my office.
    2. Carmen Plum Pillow. I love the texture and color on this pillow.
    3. Ingrid Candleholder. I love the lines on this candlestick.
    4. Marimekko Lehtimaja Bed Linens. Wow, just wow, these bed lines are to die for.

  15. Megan says:

The first thing that caught my eye was the Cyrille Rug probably because my fiance and I have been trying to find a rug that we both can love. I love it because it has the exact colors of our dinnerware, and it has a stylish touch without being too girly. I also love the Carmen pillows... The texture would add such flair to our living room and complete the look. I also love the Organico Bed Linens; they are so pretty. It makes me feel fresh and clean just looking at them. I would be scared to put them on our master bed, but they would be perfect for when parents come to visit in the guest room. It would make them feel cozy, and they might just think I was a good housekeeper :) Another product I like is the Fabienne Mirror. I think it would look so good in the dining area or living room. It has such a natural elegance without being gaudy or stuffy. I love the Bath Towels, too. There is nothing like getting out of the shower and wrapping up in a clean, plush towel. Thank you for this opportunity. It was fun looking at all the Crate and Barrel things, anyway.

  16. Mary Beth says:

I have been waiting all summer for the Brunswick bowls! We love making French Onion soup in the fall, and these bowls are perfect. Other items that make me excited for fall include: the "Sunday Soup" recipe book, sure to give us other excuses to break out the Brunswick bowls; the Josephine Bakers, which would be perfect for making chichen poty pie or lasagna; and the Krups 4-in-1 Multi Cooker is a compact appliance great for other fall favorites like oatmeal, stews and chili!

  17. Daniela says:

I love love love crate and barrel too. I could spend forever in there unfortunately I'm in Canada and there isn't one! Unless there is and I don't know about it....which I don't think would happen heh.

  18. Hannah says:

    1. OMG as soon as I saw this post, my eyes went straight for the bamboo topped candle! It makes me think of being on a beautiful beach in the South Pacific, which then makes me want to start singing "Bali Ha'i" and "Happy Talk" and book my honeymoon at the same time. And to top it off, fresh linen is my favorite scent. It's perfect for bathrooms, bedrooms, everywhere!
    2. Definitely the Cabria Honey Brown Buffet. This would be perfect for holding all our china that we will *hopefully* be receiving as wedding gifts. We love to entertain and buffet style is the way to go, so this tabletop space would be crucial as well. Plus, I love that it holds 8 wine bottles and is made of mango wood (which happens to be both of ours and our vizla's favorite fruit).
    3. Classical Symmetry Print Set. I love the fact that these prints make me think of ancient civilizations and modern design at the same time. The colors are all bright and uplifting...perfect for our living room.
    4. Glass Salt Cellar with Lid. I know this is not a large item that people would notice and ooh and ahh over as soon as they entered our house, but I definitely still love it! All of the Food Network stars have salt cellars, rather than salt shakers, so I'm beginning to feel like I need one. And I love the vintage feel to this one.
Thank you for this opportunity to waste a little time at work looking at beautiful things and to win gorgeous towels. They look incredibly plush, and a mile above the two year old Wal-Mart towels we are currently using.

  19. Liz says:

I think it's fantastic that you're reminding people to look outside the kitchen! 1. On our registry are items from the Sedona Bath Collection - I love the dark wicker basket look of each of the items - and they're all small touches that will really pull the bathroom together! 2. I've been coveting the glass canisters - I would love to display a group of them with different color/scented bath salts, with cute little scoops! Too bad we dont have the shelf space for them right now. 3. I've always been a huge fan of hanging decorative mirrors in the bathroom rather than just plastering a huge one on the wall and I really love the Feathered Mirror. It would definitely stand out against our taupe-colored walls. 4. And to finish the room, the Surana Sconce - just the right amount of candle light to spread the romanticism of a warm bath, fagrant smells and the calmness that a bathroom should exude.

  20. Carrie says:

I love crate and barrel and am definitely registering there for my April 2010 Wedding. There are so many items from that place that I love ... right now I have my eye on the Corva bed linens and I am loving the Marimekko sheet sets --- all in green which I think would be so bright and refreshing for a bedroom. And there is tons and tons of furniture I want right now. I am hoping for lots of C&B gift cards for my wedding so we can buy new furniture. I am definitely saving $$$ for the Simone Daybed.... in red! I'm going to move into the kitchen for my fourth favorite product -- the Cuisinart hand blender. it is SO useful and stores easily in small kitchens with little storage space

those towels look amazing! thanks so much for the contest opportunity and for this wonderful blog :)

  21. Kristi says:

    1. 3 Piece Glass Canister Set
    2. Down Duvet
    3. Leaf Metal Soap Dish
    4. Organic Turkish Towel Set

  23. Emily says:

I love the woodrow curtain panels -- desperate need of those right now. The cupcake stand, the cali vases and the weber grill. I love the color of the grill and the hubs is dying for one.

  24. Tegan says:

Just a note... I love C&B and those towels feel sooo great... until you use them and then they leave lint all over you and don't absorb water well, even after a bunch of washes. At any rate, it just goes to show that sometimes reviews are good to read before you make a purchase! Here are a few of my FAVORITE things at C&B though...

    1. the Rabbit Wine Opener (a serious must-have for anyone who enjoys wine)
    2. the Prof Mixer (hubba hubba)
    3. the Footed Cake Platter (great for sooo many things!)
    4. the Wide Cylindar Pitcher (75 ounces!)

  25. Sally says:

There are so many wonderful items at Crate and Barrel it's hard to pick just 4! I find myself constantly adding things to my registry much to my fiance's dismay. Here are 4 new items I am swooning over.

    1. Carlota Magazine Basket - For all the wedding magazines I've collected
    2. Mira Vase - Adds a bit of warmth to any room
    3. 3-Piece Sugar and Creamer with Tray Set - I love afternoon teas and this would be such a cute addition.
    4. Herb Keeper - Brilliant idea! My herbs are always dying before I can use them all.

  26. Liz says:

I'm obsessed with all things bathroom and love to accessorize the space (strange, I know!). I started purchasing pieces from the bamboo collection about 2 months ago as an engagement "present" to us, and the bamboo topped candles would accent beautifully! Along with those GORGEOUS candle holders...perfect for cold winter nights in the mountains!

  27. Jen says:

    1. Acacia Bowl and Salad Servers
    2. Working Bowls with Lids
    3. Oleander Bowl
    4. Sloane Leaning Bookcase

    I love Crate and Barrel!

  28. Heather says:

I love, love, love the gingko pillar holder. i love its contrast between aqua and brown, it matches the decor of my house beautifully. I also love the Hunter trunk for its versatility and antique feel. The bosque hurricane candle holders go so well with the brown of the trunk. Lastly I love the Shaye Table lamp for its uniqueness and modern feel. It was hard to choose just 4 things as I love crate and barrel!!!

  29. melissa says:

Oh how i heart crate & barrel!

    1. the stand up mixer - I can't wait to whip up some shortbread cookies (my fiance's favorite) using one of these beauties

    2. reef glasses - i love this modern glassware, beachy and fun but so classic

    3. carmen pillow - any of these would look gorgeous on our couch!

    4. birch platter and plates - love this woodsy trend!

  30. Mary says:

First and foremost on my list would be those Turkish bath towels! The look simply luxurious. Next, the Rabbit wine opener. I've broken so many cheap corkscrews over the last several years, so it would be lovely to have something like it instead. Third, all of Rachael Ray's cookware. My Mom has a set and the cook everything so well, and I love their color. Finally, the Mesa leather recliner. My fiance wants a recliner so bad, but all I can picture are those ugly monstrous poofy things whenever he talks about one. The Mesa isn't like that at all - it's beautiful! It would be a great wedding gift from me to him. Thanks SMP and Crate and Barrel for the giveaway, and best of luck to all!

  31. Cristina says:

Narrowing it down to four favorite items is so tricky, but I love a challenge!

    1. Lyle Side Chair from the Furniture collection. Absolutely amazing - I love mixing metals in with thick wood and vintage accents - so gorgeous!

    2. Olive Jars. Sigh, this looks like it came straight out of an Italain garden! I really love its weathered look!

    3. Birch Platter. Such a great piece! One can never have enough serving platters, and I love that its unique but yet could fit right in with a classical piece/platter.

    4. Placecard Holders. I love how a detail so small can add so much when it comes to entertaining, which is why these placecards are so wonderful. They are simple, modern and a perfect addition to any party!

Thank you so much for offering this giveaway!

  32. Amanda says:

Finding 4 new favorites items every so often is so fun!! Especially when there is always new things available.
    Right now I love...

    1. Jepara Basket - so cute for firewood!
    2. Mendocino Pillow - colorful, but mostly green, love it with neutral couches!
    3. Agave bowl - I am a sucker for interesting shapes. And can you tell I like green?
    4. Ramekins - With the weather getting cold I am thinking and craving soup! I love making french onion soup but don't have ramekins!

    Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

  33. jessica says:

I just love the new gingko leaf pillar holder, it will go great on my Thanksgiving table! the Dubois mirrors are just to die for!! I would love to have about 10 of them covering my entire bedroom wall!! The wire pedistal and tray are quite fun as well, Ive seen similar pieces at Panera Bread and have always been envious of them! I also love the Nabre platter - so unusal and it would be such an amazing addition to my somewhat plain collection of white platters.

  34. Jody says:

There are so many choices when it comes to crate and barrel... I almost get giddy..
I was in the store last weekend just taking it all in.. the glassware... the small appliances
and of course the bedding!!! That store is a dream....its like lays potato chips... cant eat just one!! :)

  35. whitney says:

I just love Crate and Barrel! Its difficult to choose just 4 of my favorite things from there but they are:

    1. Flare Mango Wood salad Bowl
    2. The outdoor umbrellas
    3. The mesh bulletin board
    4. Brunswick bowls

  36. maria says:

here's my top 4: 1. Lindsey Paisley Bed Linens 2. Collapsible Cookbook Stand 3. Invisible Magazine Rack 4. Bamboo Tea Bag Box

  37. Jamie says:

We were really excited to get the new fall catalogue- so many pretty things! Our newest registry favorites are:

    1) Claudia 18 x 18 pillow. I think I finally talked FI into liking the idea of decorative throw pillows with this one. :)
    2) Mira Amethyst Vase. It matches our cordial glasses. SO EXCITING! And I love the color.
    3) Meat Tenderizer. Didn't really it would be so hard to find one, which makes it all worth the wait. Go C&B!
    4) Kirby Cordials. I love the idea that they match the vase. Plus, they're just my size! So cute!

  38. ljcadv says:

    my current top 4:
    1. Merimekko Tamara Sheet Set
    2. 3 piece glass canister set
    3. Trix Candle holder
    4. Jax wall Sconce

its so hard to just pick 4!

  39. Olga says:

Here are my favorites from the Fall Catalogue
    1. Tetra Dinnerware
    2. Tambe Walnut Coffee Table
    3. Talin Wall Clock
    4. Meryl Floor Lamp

  40. Kate says:

How can I choose only four? May current favorites are:

    1) Nilsson large pitcher
    2) Kai decanter
    3) Marimekko Tamara bath towels
    4) Essex bar cabinet

Thank you so much for the giveaway!

  41. sarah m. says:

I love the new spider web runner for Halloween, the Lume candleholders, the square rim platter, and the compost pail!

  42. Leah J says:

Thinking decorative and functional this time...

    1. Organic Turkish Towel Set
    2. Mira Vase
    3. Merimekko Tamara Sheet Set
    4. Bamboo candles

  43. Krystel T says:

    1. Oh wow, those Organics Turkish Bathtowels just seem heavenly! I love sumptious, thick towels. I'd definitely get these in Ivory.

2.The 9-piece Glass bowl set. My fiance broke my large glass bowl through overzealous packing when we moved. It had doubled as a nice serving dish for large salads and fancy popcorn. My parents have a set of these and they work so well for various prep and can move right to the table.

    3. Dinnerware storage set and dinnerware protectors. We just picked out our fine china, but until we move until a larger place, they will have to be stored in between uses. I love them and want to make sure they're protected by something cleaner and nicer than wadded up used newspaper!

4.KitchenAid Mixer Pasta Roller and Cutters - My fiance started making homemade crackers awhile back and they're delicious! He's so funny because we have the mixer and when I suggest registering for this, he thinks it's too much money and he might not make crackers again. I remind him that maybe he'll go on a fresh pasta-making binge. He really would enjoy using this rather than fighting to roll that stretchy cracker dough by hand, even if he won't admit it.

  44. Kayla says:

One of the things I'm looking forward to the most when my fiance and I get our own place is setting up a guest bedroom. I love having company, and entertaining, and talking with friends 'til the wee hours of the morning. My favorite things at Crate and Barrel to keep my guests cozy and welcome:

1-6 piece lume candleholder set-how pretty would these be on top of a dresser, lit up for my guests to curl up in bed with a book?

2-Mira vase in plum-filled with fresh daisys, this vase would look darling in a guest room

3-Bexley throw-also in plum, for curling up with on cold New England nights

4-Collapsible slotted magazine rack-To keep wonderful magazines for my guests

The towels that look so comfy would just work to complete that guest bathroom ;)

  45. Morgan says:

I've been entering all of these giveaways faithfully and I'm not going to give up until I win!!

Here are my favorite four for this round, inspired for all the rooms in my house aside from the kitchen:

    1) I'd love to update our bedroom, and a simple way to do that would be with the Marimekko ® Lehtimaja Bed Linens. So lovely!
    2) Our bathroom could also use a makeover, and I'm loving the matching Marimekko® Lehtimaja Shower Curtain.
    3) It's always difficult for me to find pretty, modern lamps, but I love the Breck Table Lamp in Sage.
    4) The Pixie Candleholders would be great not only for my home (I especially love candles in the bedroom), but for my wedding reception as well!

  46. Alicia says:

My favorite Crate and Barrel items all say hospitality and provide that extra detail that makes guests feel welcome when visiting – whether for a dinner party or for the weekend!

    My picks are:

    1) The Carlisle vase – fresh flowers are a must, and even inexpensive blooms look fabulous in this gorgeous crystal, but modern, vase.

    2) The silver cube placecard holders – an easy way to make a dinner party very personal, and they can be switched out to hold photographs, too!

    3) The Organico blankets – SO soft and luxurious – perfect at the foot of a guest bed.

    4) The embossed sugar and creamer set – no sleepy houseguest will miss them over morning coffee with the cute “sugar” and “creamer” printed right on them.

Thanks Crate and Barrel and SMP!

  47. Jenn K. says:

I love the Octave Mirror it would be perfect in the entrance of our apartment or on the wall in our dining room. The bronze coat rack is a great way to invite our guests to stay a while and keep our home a little less cluttered. 5 or 7 pillar candles would look great on a table in our living room, it would be nice to come home to a room full of candle light. Finally I am loving the Talin Wall Clock every day we get ready and ask ourselves in the middle of it what time is it? This clock is so stylish I would have a hard time not looking at it.

  48. Sarah A. says:

I LOVE the towels! We are registered for a complete set of 4. Fingers totally crossed- right now we're using the towels I got for my freshman year of college 8 years ago!

    Our other favorites include:
-Organico bed linens (can you tell I work for an environmental organization? pesticide-free cotton makes a difference! plus, these are totally adorable)
-Declan Table Lamp (is it weird to like the texture of a lamp?!)
-Antiqued Bronze Mirror (I love the look of mixing metals. this mirror would look great anywhere)
-Weber Performer Grill (we've lived in high rise apartments for all of our "adult" lives and we can't wait to have our very own outdoor space where we can grill. my fiance loves that this grill has gas and charcoal and i love that it looks so cute!)

  49. Marita says:

C&B has so many wonderful items, I could fill a registry over and over and over... I just love their stuff! A few of my registry must-haves for bed and bath are:

    1. The Sedona Hamper (time to replace that pop-up mesh bag from college :) )
    2. The Marimekko Lehtimaja blue shower curtain and matching hand towels (a joyful pop of color, and the perfect compliment to lush white turkish bath towels!!!)
    3. The Abigail Paisley Bed Linens (I love green and paisley - but any grown-up bed linens will do!)
    4. The Organico Blankets - lovely and organic! And nice blankets are a must for couple living in the New England!

  50. Nikki says:

How can I pick just four?! I am totally in love with Crate & Barrel after my wonderful husband-to-be took me there to gawk before we registered!

    1. Meryl Floor Lamp - How gorgeous would this lamp be over the amazing Steele sofa (in an adorable tweed, of course!)?? I'm seeing a giant ivory shag rug... Era glass coffee table... amazing city skyline behind huge floor-to-ceiling windows... SO 1950's Hollywood glam.

    2. Tilia Flatware & Serving Set - I am seriously obsessing over this flatware set right now. I even dream about it. Every night. And so does my future hubby... :}

    3. Birch Platter & Plates - I'm into all things natural and woodsy inspired, yet kitschy and chic - items that look like they belong outdoors, but they strangely fit in a downtown apartment. These plates DEFINE that.

    4. Veranda Teal Coverlet with Bexley Teal Throw - How can I not choose this coverlet and throw in my favorite color? And seeing as I'm a Chicago girl living in Florida (hottest place on THE EARTH), I can't deal with anything on my bed heavier than a coverlet. Night sweats? No thank you!

My favorite part about registering at Crate & Barrel was the excitement we had finding things to make our new house a home. Since we both are living with our parents until we marry, we SO enjoyed the time we spent together, mixing our styles, and finding our unique sense of "home". I can't wait to come home to my soon-to-be husband!

  51. Ringo says:

I love Crate & Barrel! I can spend hours in there.

    My new favorite four are:

    1. Krups 4-in-1 cooker. I think it's great that you can slow cook, make rice, and steam your vegetables all in one appliance.

    2. Compost Pails. It's a nice eco-friendly way of disposing trash.

    3. Bio Bags. It's amazing how much of your trash can be composted and these bags are perfect for it.

    4. Herb Keeper. A cool way to keep herbs fresh!

  52. Raffaella says:

Crate & Barrel's new and innovative designs with chic and stylish lines and textures never seize to amaze me.

My favorite four are inspired by unique shapes and textures to dress the home.

    1. I love the texture and warm rich tones of the New Havana Chair. I love the lines and versatility of the cushion color to dress up whatever space you are using these chairs in whether it be a covered patio or your dining room.

    2. The Casablanca Placemat in either round or square is absolutely beautiful. The beautiful espresso color and handwoven pattern is so elegant and sophisticated and a beautiful addition to dress the dining table.

    3. The Samara vase. I love it's shape and the beautiful blue color makes me think of being on the island of Santorini in Greece.

    4. The Carmen pillow is such a fun and frilly accessory to dress your sofa or bed giving a touch of color and texture...has a very playful feel to it, but yet trendy.

  53. Amy L says:
