Hawaii Wedding in San Francisco, II

August 12th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 18 comments

So the best part about this wedding, aside from the perfectly elegant style and totally effortless elegance…is the cupcakes! They were crafted by the aaaaaamazing Sibby’s Cupcakery (and I can honestly speak to just how adorable and yummy her cupcakes are, as I’ve ordered them for my hubby before!) and provided the perfect touch of edible whimsy to the decor…

Thank you so very much to...

Hawaii Wedding in San Francisco

August 12th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 14 comments

Some of you might not know that I lived in San Francisco for 5 years. I actually moved there with one of my besties right after college and it became the city where I really grew up. I got my first job in San Francisco, I found my first apartment in San Francisco. I found my true love in San Francisco. It’s a magical city and I miss it every day.

So, when I saw this San Francisco wedding photographed by the lovely...

Fashion Shoot by Jeremy Harwell, II

August 12th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 11 comments

So, the inspiration behind this gorgeous photo shoot that Jeremy Harwell sent us is a Summer Love Story…

The bride and groom are both Italian. He is a famous architect, she a pattern maker for Valentino. They met on the Spanish Steps in Rome and fell instantly in love. They move to Buenos Aires, get married and have a fabulous honeymoon in the secluded countryside.

LOVE.

More to come in just a bit.

Save the Date Idea!

August 11th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 47 comments

I fell hard for these perfectly adorable save the dates that the hugely talented Marilyn Chien designed. She and her fiance are total foodies and wanted to find a fun way to capture that in their save the dates. Here is what they came up with!

From Marilyn…

The story of our Save the Dates is quite simple. I love baking (especially cupcakes) and my fiance is a pastry chef at Nobu. We’re definitely foodie people and what better way of personalizing that than designing...

Rehearsal Dinner by Details Details, II

August 11th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 8 comments

Like I said earlier, this rehearsal dinner is all about the chic. Unabashed, luxurious, holy-cow chic. I know that something like this is completely NOT an option for many of you, I love that there are so many elements to find inspiration…the awesome color palette, the pops of zebra print, the perfectly fabulous flowers. I could go on and on!

From Jeannie at Details Details, the fabulous firm behind this...

Colorful, DIY Eco-Chic Wedding, III

August 11th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 20 comments

You all know what a nut I am about the details. It’s those perfect little touches that make a wedding truly gorgeous in my book…the more original, the more charming, the better. This couple was ALL about the details.

Photography by The Nichols

I love the use of quilts in the wedding decor. Draped over hay bales, cocktail tables, as a backdrop for photographs…it’s so adorable and such a lovely...
