A very belated response re: our cake… it was made by Renata of Lovely Cakes in Norwalk, CT. (www.lovelycakes.net) She is FANTASTIC. And I can’t even describe how wonderful it tasted (we chose chocolate and peanut butter.) Renata recently made a mini version of our cake for our one-year anniversary. Adorable!

Thanks for the love! It’s so fun to relive our wedding day on SMP! Vanesha and Laura, Daria’s comment above details how I made the cocktail flags. It was a relatively simple project and definitely worth it when we saw the results at cocktail hour. One thing to note, when you go to your venue ask them which glasses they’ll be using for passed drinks during the cocktail hour. Get the measurements of the glasses, so you’ll know what length to cut the bamboo sticks.

Hi Vaneesha and Laura,
I just nabbed what Brandi had to say about the cocktail sticks from Brandi + Marty’s previous SMP blog post….
“I actually made the cocktail flags. The yellow paper is from PaperSource, I printed them on my home printer, cut them and then used double-sided tape to affix them to bamboo skewers.”
