Colorful, Chic Los Angeles Wedding III

Love, love, love today’s real wedding. I say that a lot…I know. BUT, I have the sheer pleasure of getting to pick the weddings that I put up on SMP, so it’s pretty fair to say that I love them all. This one though, is especially great as it’s filled with so much personality. So much style. It’s hard not to be smitten!

And to be honest, if it’s pink and it includes paper poms…there is a good chance that I’ve fallen head over heels. To make the feature even better, the beautiful bride, Gwendolyn, is stopping by to share some of the details!

We wanted everything to feel like an intimate gathering and once we saw the Marvimon (the first and last venue we visited) we knew it was the right setting for us.  Everything just fell into place one we knew our venue.  With the marvimon having so much character we wanted to take that chic feel and add some color & vintage vibes. Matt & I put all of the details together on our own right down to putting every button on our invites while our family across the country was helping us collect milk glass for the flowers.  Thankfully our families came into town a few days early to help with the poufs and the final items!  We couldn’t have pulled it off without friends & family.

  1. Love the grey BM dress with the grey pumps. And beautiful flowers!

I may be biased because my best friend is the bride, however, it was one of the most beautiful weddings! Gwen and Matt have so much style and it showed through every little detail....from the amazing food and adorable cupcakes to the decorations to the guests. If Gwen wanted a different job..she could certainly be a wedding planner!

  3. I love the flowers and colors. Everything looks fun and chic.

  4. To Gwen and Matt's carbon credit, for their wedding, they wanted organic flowers that were locally grown. Literally, those flowers traveled all of five miles from where they were grown in Silver Lake to the Marvimon. Whenever I see pink ranunculus I always think of Gwen. I grew them from corms (bulbs) planted in the Fall of '08 specially for her wedding. It was a real joy working with you Gwen and Matt. Love and best wishes to you both. Tara xx
