Family Style Wedding by Spruce, III

So if you’re just now joining us, we are featuring the oh-so-lovely wedding of my very own wedding florist…the FABULOUS (and that is putting it mildly) Sarah Matteson of Spruce. Her wedding was a lesson in all things gorgeous. An effortlessly elegant style with simple but perfect details that are both warm and totally inviting. In a word…LOVE.

More from Sarah…

Flowers were abundant( as you can imagine) mostly un-colors like chalky, pink, sand and gravender… garden roses, sweetpeas, succulents, sedum, vintage hued-carnations, scabiosa and poppy pods- regular Spruce staples. Birch sleeves wooden boxes and unglazed ceramic peppered with mercury glass gave everything a modern, but weathered feel.

"Gravender"... is that a combination of "gravel" and "lavender"? Or is that a real word???

  4. Colleen says:

Gorgeous! What type of flowers are those, in the second picture?

  5. those feathery proteas are so amazing! the florals for this wedding are simple and stunning.

    thanks all!

Colleen - the flowers in the second photo are a type of protea. The variety is called "Blushing Bride".

Tegan- Funny you should ask. Everyone makes fun of me because my favorite colors are all variations on grey and don'thave real names, so I make them up.
Gravender is grey-ish lavedner, Grink in grey-ish pink, Greige is greyish beige, etc...
    Silly, I know...

What type of fabric are those table runners? It looks like burlap. They're beautiful! Did you DIY? :)
