Crate and Barrel Favorite Four!

August 19th. 2009 by Abby Larson | Filed Under | 89 comments

The last couple of days have been a whirlwind for us at SMP. We’ve been putting the finishing touches on the Style Circle, our new and COMPLETELY fabulou social network, so that we could open it up to the public today! So, needless to say, some of our other features have been pushed back a bit.

The one that I KNOW you guys are excited about is this week’s Crate and Barrel Favorite Four Picks! For our newer readers, here’s the low down. Every two weeks, we choose four must-have registry items from the CB line. Then, you comment with your favorite four. At the end of two weeks, we choose one lucky reader to gift one of the products! It’s that easy!

All of this Crate and Barrel love is to support our INCREDIBLE partnership with the beloved brand and the giveaway that just might blow all other giveaways away! (read more below). So, this week’s favorite four are all about my favorite Summertime treat…Margaritas!

crate and barrel favorites

1. First up, the Breville Ikon Hemisphere Blender. A good blender is like gold. One that can whip, whirl, chop, and blend (duh) beautifully will make your cocktail experience so much better. And your drinks so much tastier.  And this one, my friends, is top knotch.

2. Every good hostess needs a beautiful ice bucket. Gone are the days when we store ice in the sink or a yucky old chest that’s been re-gifted to us by our parents. A pretty, perfect silver ice bucket will take your entertaining to the level of fabulousness!

3. This next favorite is more of a tasty treat, less of a registry must have. The Midnight Bar Cocktail Mixes…kick some serious butt. They come in flavors like margarita, mojito and cosmopolitan and are all together delicious!!

4. And lastly, a set of margarita glasses. You might not think of this when you are setting up your registry but take it from one party loving already married…these glasses are awesome and will really bring an air of festivity to your party. Plus, you can also use them to serve ice cream so they really are multi-taskers!

Okay, now it’s your turn! Pick your favorite four must-haves that you are going to add to your Crate and Barrel registry and leave a comment below! Winner will receive the Breville Ikon Hemisphere Blender above!

* * *

Now for the really awesome part. SMP is gifting one lucky bride and groom a FOUR THOUSAND DOLLAR shop card to Crate and Barrel just for signing up for a wedding registry through SMP. It’s so insanely simple, it’s almost ridiculous to not take advantage of this incredible offer. Just click right here to start your registry process! And take it from me…your chances are still really good!

Now this is what I'm talking about. Blender, ice, mix, and the glasses. Thats all you need to get the party going, especially being a newly wed. Invite other couples, set out some desserts, appeitizers, and the party is on. These gifts would be awesome.

  2. Lindsay says:

Margarita night!! so fun :) I just received this ice bucket off my C&B registry and LOVE it, a modern classic. Other things that I've loved on my registry that would top this night off are the "Wine Bar Food" cookbook, Stainless Steel plates, and Delia Vase (I'm a sucker for flowers).

  3. Kelly says:

    1. Zojirushi Rice Cooker- what a genius invention. How lovely to not have to worry about watching the rice when whipping up a scrumptious meal for your hubby or dinner party!

    2. Loving the Hemisphere Blender- perfect for a breakfast smoothy!

    3. Cha Cha Pitcher- perfect for fresh lemonade and sangria :)

    4. Footed Cake Platter with Dome- great way to display baked goods, while keeping them fresh

  4. Julie says:

Everytime I look at Crate and Barrel, I find something else I love. It is kind of torture when you are a college student with a teensy kitchen and little cash. Luckily, we'll be moving to an apartment with a bigger kitchen (not to mention the fact that we'll have full-time jobs!) right before our wedding!

My four favorites: 1. The GreenPan Anodized Frypans-- I would love to be able to cook with nonstick pans, but the fumes are toxic to my fiance's birds. Unless, of course, I get GreenPans, which don't release the fumes! 2. Flare Mango Wood Bowl -- Gorgeous wood that just happens to be eco-friendly and sustainable! 3. Universal Splatter Screen -- I make my own Cincinnati chili, since no restaurants serve it in Minnesota/Wisconsin. This would make clean-up a breeze! 4. The blender in this giveaway! I love to make smoothies and blended drinks, but our blender is terrible and hardly works at all!

  5. Marcie says:

Well, you're right- margarita nights are one of the best parts of summer! Especially on vacation! This got be thinking about my favorite parts of summer vacations... one of which is a good margarita night paired with a laid back summer brunch the next morning. With this in mind, I chose:

    1. The Breville Compact Juice Extractor- What summer brunch is complete without freshly squeezed juice? My fave is OJ but this juicer can make juice out of practically anything!

    2. A Crate and Barrel Ona Pitcher- Such a fun way to serve that freshly squeezed juice (and maybe add some champagne to it!)

    3. The VillaWare Uno Belgian Waffle Maker- My personal favorite breakfast treat is a good waffle- and they're always a hit on vacation!

    4. Barefoot Contessa Ina's Favorite Pancake and Waffle Mix- Because, honestly, a mix will be necessary to make waffles the morning after margarita night!

Thanks for the inspiration! I am promptly putting these items on my registry to hopefully be used next summer after my June wedding!

  6. Kim Cashin says:

I am most definitely putting the ice bucket on my crate and barrel registry. It is beautiful This would be perfect for drink on the deck and pool area that my fiance and I have been working on rehabing all summer long. A night we could hang by the pool with some frozen drinks with friends would be divine!

  7. Marie says:

Looking through Crate & Barrel's website just makes me so happy! I love these giveaways because it gives me an excuse to look through my registry again, to update with new items. I find a new favorite everyday, but today here are my top four:

    1. Cookie Press & Decorating Kit - Every year at Christmas my mom and I make quick spritz cookies using the cookie press she received as a gift at her wedding. It's just not Christmas without these cookies - the second batch always a little burned because we're too busy eating the first batch! This is an absolute must-have in my new, married household.

    2. The Hemisphere Blender featured here - My fiance and I have gone through at least three blenders in the past two years. He loves making smoothies, and we can't seem to find a blender that's good enough. Not to mention my soon-to-be sister-in-law LOVES margaritas. What better way to entertain her?

    3. Ona Pitcher - I love the design of this pitcher. I've been eyeing it for years! The perfect pitcher to serve the perfect drink.

    4. Footed Cake Platter w/ Dome - I am obsessed with baking cakes and cupcakes. There's no better way to display a beautiful cake than on this beautiful platter! It will be a birthday staple for years to come.

    Thanks Abby! :)

  8. Carolyn says:

Now that our current set of flatware is literally starting to fall apart, my top pick for my C&B registry is the Austen silverware!

And always on my list of top picks is the KitchenAid stand mixer. I am so excited to use this one and will buy it for myself if no one gets it for us!

I have also fallen in love with the Claire dinner plates and would love to have a complete set for our home.

Lastly, I would love to receive the Cuisenart food processor! I have a manual food chopper right now, and would love to upgrade!

  9. kim says:

    1. The ona pitcher: so mod and and beautiful. A classic for serving juice.

    2. The caphalon waffle maker-My fiance proposed over pancakes, so breakfast is kind of important to us.

    3. oxo- salad spinner. We have an organic food share and the amount of lettuce and greens that come in spring and early summer is out of control. Having fresh natural greens are great but they come pretty gritty and earthy. Having this would make salad prep much faster.

    4. Colette bed_-yup, this one is stretch and I'm certainly not expecting any guest to buy this but I've bee in love with this classically beautiful bed for years.

  10. Liz T. says:

    1. Chelsea Footed Cake Pedestal - I have just started to love baking and have yet to master the art of decorating cakes, but am making desperate attempts. If the frosting isn't yet perfect, shouldn't the cake plate be?

    2. Swoon Carafe - When I was little, my dad used to make breakfast and he'd serve us fresh juice from one of his whiskey carafes. I loved the idea, it will always remind me of Sunday mornings and blueberry pancakes. I will be incorporating lots of carafes into our reception.

    3. Java Table Lamp - during the proposal, I got a little emotional and excited and jumped out of my seat - knocking over a well-loved (but oh so old) table lamp. I've been coveting this one (well, two of them actually) as a replacement -- what a great reminder of the feelings that we had from day one.

    4. "Plates to Share" cookbook. We like to entertain and have friends come over and cook dinner. I'm pretty meticulous when it comes to food and yet have never been able to get all of the dishes done at the same time. This book is perfect since plates can be served when they're ready and no one will be any wiser about my ill-timed service!

  11. Lanimoz says:

Go big or go home, I always say! So to my registry I am adding a KitchenAid Mixer, a Cuisinart Food Processor, Calphalon convection oven and a Fago Duo Pressure cooker!!

    Congrats on the new launch!

  12. JL says:

I definitely love love love the Cuisinart Digital Slow Cooker... it will be my and anyone's best friend their first year of marriage! Also, the Breville Healthsmart Steamer, because I don't want to gain the happy fat in my first year! ;) And you can't get more classic than the Roulette Dinnerware. Lastly, the Halsted Flatware, it will go perfectly with our Roulette dinnerware. Classic and beautiful!!!

  13. Ashley says:

Right now I'm needed simple kitchen products: Mixer, Food Pro, Toaster, and Microwave

  14. Susan says:

Oh these items are perfect for this Arizona bride! We drink margaritas as if it were water sometimes :)

  15. Susan says:

The hyperlink you have provided to begin your registry gives me this error message "Unfortunately, we are unable to locate the product you are looking for." Can you please repost the link? THANK YOU!!

  16. Sara says:

    Ona Pitcher

    Hemisphere Blender

    Cha Cha Pitcher

    Cookie Press and Decorating Kit

  17. julie says:

What I tried to do on my Crate and Barrel registry was include something from every price range. It was actually a very easy thing to accomplish, because C&B has useful and wonderful things in every category. I am going to list my four choices in price order:

Two Tier Fruit Basket: So useful, looks great, has a wonderful mesh design and is only $19.95

Brushed Stainless Ice Bucket: Looks so " Mad Men" to me. It is a classic, retro ice bucket that would serve us well and be wonderful to put out when guests come over

Bed Tray Palau: Need I say More, Breakfast service in bed on this highly functional tray, FANTASTIC!

StarBurst Mirror: This Mirror is such an eye catcher, it would make a huge statement in any room. It is simple yet pops out at you as a beautifully designed piece. I am really wishing for this item....................

I love C&B, they have the best prices around, and the best selection!
Winning the blender would be amazing.................

  18. Sarah says:

My fiance and I already registered @ Crate and Barrel and here are a few things that we are super excited about:

    1. Breville Ikon Hemisphere Blender - My fiance religiously makes protein shakes and smoothies at least once/day. We have been through more blenders in the last few years than I can even remember! When we registered, he studied each blender, and this was the only one that met his criteria :)

    2. KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer - Probably atop every girls registry and definitely is my small kitchen appliance of choice! I love to bake and know that I would really make good use of this!

    3. Appetizer Plate Set - My fiance and I love to entertain. We would love to serve appetizers on these cute little plates!

    4. Molcajete - I LOVE guacamole. I love going to Mexican restaurants where the make fresh guac @ your table and they always make and serve it in a Molcajete. This would be so great to whip up some fresh homemade guac for guests!

  19. maria says:

Bamboo Tea Bag Box literally, all someone has to do is name crate and barrel and i picture these things! love it!

  20. ljcadv says:

    1. Bake and Store cake pan- a must have since there are only 2 of us, don't want a partially eaten cake to just sit out!

    2. cooling rack- I have one but def need another one for big baking jobs

    3. Cambridge baker with rack- great for parties

    4. Cuisinart Food processor- my mini one just isn't cutting it!

  21. Katie says:

Real margaritas (on the rocks with salt of course) require....

    1. Dizzy Cocktail Glasses (perfect size, harder to knock over after you've had more than one margarita).

    2. Wusthof Utility Knife (for cutting all those limes you will be mixing into the tequila)

    3. End Grain Chopping Board (for cutting all those limes)

    4. Citrus Squeezer (for juicing all those limes)

3 parts tequila, 2 parts Grand Marnier, 1 part lime juice. Mix well. Rim glasses with salt, fill with ice and pour margarita into glass. Careful, these are strong!

  22. Kristen A says:

    1) Set of 12 Bowl w/Clear Lid (to store all the left overs, as well as send them home with to guests!)

2-Mira vase in such a beautiful plum color...how wonderful for my slate and plum bedroom

3-Tea bag squeezer...I obviously love things that are labeled with what they are...the tea cut out is darling

  26. kpoe says:

I'm going to stick with your beverage theme here -- we had a party last Friday night and it became pretty clear what our household is lacking in this area:

    1. party beverage server -- I've been using my sink as a drink tub :)
    2. bar tool set -- yeah, we don't have any of these. And we also don't have a...
    3. cocktail shaker! My fiance spent about 15 minutes flinging water about the kitchen last night as he tested various combinations of cups and glasses for their utility as a shaker. We need a real one.
    4. wood tray with brass accents -- to hold all of the cocktail tools! Or cheese and crackers, or whatever.

Of course, I would love to have all of the things in the giveaway too -- I'm still using grandma's blender!

  27. NYCDawg says:

    Such a fabulous giveaway!!
    1. Crystal Carlisle Vase - because its beautiful
    2. Parker Bowls - because they are a fabulous way to add a punch of color
    3. Jordan wine glasses!! We are desperate for wine glasses as we only have 5 and none of them match.
    4. and finally...that fabulous blender up there. :)

  28. Tina says:

    1. The Pekoe Vase. It's beautiful, stylish, and would go perfectly in my home.
    2. Mango Wood Tray. This would come in handy in my life all the time.
    3. Harvest Bowl. I'm getting married in the fall, and this bowl is beautiful.
    4. Marimekko ® Lehtimaja Shower Curtain. This shower curtain matched my bathroom

  29. melane says:

    1. Pixie Candleholders - gorgeous
    2. Invisible Magazine Rack - great for my living room
    3. Weber Performer Grill - have to something the hubby really would like!
    4. Counter baking mats - I LOVE to bake!

  30. Jenni says:

Ohhh I would LOVE that blender to make margaritas for my mom and I's thursday night ritual of good tv and good drinks! My Fave 4 are, in no particular order....

    1. Kitchaid Stand Mixer. I want this so bad it makes my heart hurt a little to see it in the store and not be able to take it home....sigh...one day my love...one day....
2.The Meridian Large Rectangular Dining Group. Oh, the parties I could throw! :)
    3. The Devika Rug. soooo pretty. It would look beautiful on our new hardwood floors!
    4. Cherise Pendant Lamp. So gorgeous. I would love to hang this little beauty over my desk and get right to work. Simply Lovely.

I'm crossing my fingers and my toes!!! Love you SMP!

  31. Anna says:

    1. I am dying for the Krups Pump Espresso Maker (I may not even be able to wait until the wedding to buy it). Espresso and cappuccino at home is the perfect way to end a meal, plus, the footprint is so small that it will fit in my tiny kitchen!

    2. The Brunswick Soup pot/Bowl/Au gratin, is such a beautiful, handy set that I'd love to have. They're pretty enough that you could cook as well as serve in them.

    3. The Calphalon Tri-Ply Copper Cookware Set would be such a nice collection to cook with, plus they'd be beautiful hanging above the stove as well.

    4. I also really need some large, versatile serving platters like the Madison Large Platter. Any type of food will look amazing on a white platter, plus it could be used to serve any variety of foods: meat, salad, dessert, etc.

  32. Jennifer C says:

    1. KitchenAid Mixer all the way!!
    2. Ona Pitcher 46oz. - how cute is that handle!
    3. Sloane Mhgny Desk/2 Bookcases - AMAZING desk and beautiful bookshelf all in one!
    4. Acacia Wood Salad Bowl - wood, oh acacia wood, you are so pretty.

  33. Kate J. says:

My fiance and I are little bit older and we didn't think we'd be registering for anything for our kitchen since we had so much already. Then 2 things happened: My fiance broke all 3 of the blenders we had between us and we took a cooking class and realized how much we actually still needed. So now I have a registry with many useful kitchen items and the hemisphere blender of course but today's post has me thinking we that we need to work on our bar. So here are my four new favorites:

    1. The Swoon Carafe -- was this named with SMP in mind? It's definitely going to stand out on our little bar set-up

    2. Slate Coasters -- they perfectly match the slate cheese board we bought last year - and with the carafe above we are definitely going to have that wine and cheese party we've been talking about.

    3. The Party Beverage Server - it's sooo much classier than the red cooler we currently use for large company.

4, The Cocktail Shaker - because I've always wanted one and because it will be so much fun to actually use the words "shaken not stirred" in a sentence.

  34. rieditor says:

Abby, that link to start your registry isn't working.

  35. Jules says:

Bodum ® Chambord 32-Ounce French Press -- there's no better coffee than from a french press! What a perfect way to start the morning with my soon-to-be hubby...

Nine-Piece Glass Bowl Set -- a friend who got married last year said this was her fav item from her registry! She said the bowls are super useful and she can't imagine how she cooked without them. Sold.

Microplane ® Box Grater -- grated parm for the pasta, orange zest for orange chocolate chip cookies -- I can think of a million ways to use this well-designed grater!

Acacia Salad-Serve Set -- our salad bowl has recently sprung a leak and I think this set is just gorgeous.

Now, if I can only figure out where I'm going to stash all the goodies I'd like to register for! We have a tiny New York apartment...

  36. Sarah says:

Margaritas are definitely my favorite drink, hands down. (Any time of year, but especially in the summer!) I would love to win the blender since my roommate is moving out soon and our blender belongs to her. My four Crate and Barrel must-haves are:

    1. Nine piece glass bowl set -- then I would never have to hunt around for the right size mixing bowl (or use a pot to mix in when I can't find the right one!).

    2. Recipe box with divider cards -- what a genius way to store and protect recipes while cooking. And eco-friendly too!

    3. A set of All-Clad stainless steel cookware -- so I can finally get rid of the pans I've been using since college.

    4. Wustof Classic knife set -- so that I can learn to enjoy chopping, dicing, etc.

Thanks for another great giveaway! : )

  37. Lauren K. says:

    1. The Weber Green Performer Grill is my new favorite. With easy-touch gas ignition and charcoal cooking, you get the yummy taste without the work--any one can be a grill master, even flame -challenged me!

    2. *Really* become a grill master with Weber's Way to Grill.

    3. The new Classic Century line marries form and function so beautifully.

    4. Display your Classic Century beauties on something worthy of the honor: the Paloma Sideboard.

  38. Tina says:

My soon to be hubby and I both work at a busy nonprofit and bust our tushes all summer long....and those delightful margarita glasses and all the fixin's would be a mighty fine way to end the summer season for us. (Plus - a bonus! - we're throwing a Friday night Mexican shindig on the eve before our wedding to toast all our families and friends who are in town...and they would appreciate the wares as well!)

    My favs on C&B are....
    1. oval martini glass pitcher & stir rod (love a dirty martini!)
    2. the kitchen aid mixer (isn't this everybody's fav?)
    3. the bamboo salad hands (because they're so darn unique & cute to play hostess with)
    4. the cold beverage glass jar with spigot (to serve lemonade to friends on your porch in the summertime)

    Thanks!

  39. Lydia says:

    1) Oh my goodness, ABSOLUTELY the Breville Ikon Hemisphere Blender! I'm still using a crummy hand-me-down blender that can't really handle ice (so what's the point of having one?!).

    2) Techny Flatware place settings -- classically simple.

    3) The elegant yet playful Mara champagne flutes and wine glasses.

    4) The Reversible Double Griddle -- one side's smooth, for pancakes; the other side's a grill pan. Perfect for apartment-dwellers who can't have a real grill!

    ----------------------------------
Lastly, am I the only one who's having trouble following that link to start a C&B registry and be entered into the shop card giveaway? I get a C&B error page when I click it...

  40. Lydia says:

**Nevermind! Found a link that works in the previous C&B giveaway pages. :)

  41. Chandra says:

I enter every time and pick stuff from my own registry that is my favorite that week :) This week I'm loving:

    1. Weber Green Performer Grill- someone was generous enough to buy this for us and we just got it, put it together, and are grilling out tonight! It is amazing and stylish at the same time.

    2. Flair bamboo bowl (comes in a large serving size and smaller individual size) perfect for summer salads.

    3. Atoll Blue dinnerware, which C&B has discontinued therefore it must be snatched up immediately! It has a beautiful blue crackled finish and is as durable as it is chic.

    4. Slate Cheese board- this is my new favorite thing because you can entertain and put out cheese, and write the names of the cheese on the slate board. Genius and fun!

The one thing I forgot to register for was a blender...but I definitely need one!

  42. Leah J says:

My must-haves: Bedside carafe, knives, tea pot, dutch oven

  43. Jessica B. says:

My Crate & Barrel Favorite Four:

    1. Recipe Box with Divider Cards: one promise my fiance and i made to eachother is we would keep the house we move in to together organized and this would be a great start to organizing our kitchen!

    2. 5 Piece Parker Bowl Set: love the colors of these bowls, so fun!

    3. Scarlatti Dinnerware ( 2 Red Dinner Plates): Love the design of these!

    4. Set of Five Multicolored Waffleweave Dishcloths: i'd love to wash dishes with these fun dish cloths, they look very durable!

Thanks for this great giveaway! :)

  44. Lyndsay says:

Even though summer is almost over (tear), I am SO excited to receive the blender and the margarita mixes on my registry. There is nothing better than a pool party with ice cold margaritas during the hot summer months.

My current top 4 registry items... Breville Blender, Party Beverage Server, Zazz Margarita Glasses and the Three Tier Cupcake Stand.

  45. Nicole says:

Oh these giveaways are so much fun! My favorite four include:

    1. Calphalon Tri-Ply Copper Cookware Set - These are absolutely gorgeous to have displayed in the kitchen and would only make cooking dinner that much easier ;)

    2. Olivewood Cheese Board - A wonderful conversation piece that's simply for your cheese! It is so beautiful to have nearly a piece of art to serve upon.

    3. Ona Pitchers - These stunning pitchers would be great to serve beverages in at a one of our parties. I can see a yummy Sangria inside of one of these or even a strawberry lemonade for the future kids!

    4. KitchenAid Professional 600 Stand Mixer - I have been asking for one of these since I was probably ten years old. I am an avid baker and still have my fingers crossed that I will be receiving one of these as a wedding gift from my parents!

  46. Colleen says:

I will do a cocktail theme also because..they are delicious!

    1. Felix Martini Glass - because I love lemon drops

    2. Nola Decanter - reminds me of Jeannie's bottle, so fab

    3. "500 Cocktails" book - self-explanatory

    4. Party Straws - it's the little things

  47. kstrillian says:

    1. Breville Blender - my blender from college days has a cracked base and leaks. I pick a blender based on it's ice crushing power for pina coladas and bellinis! We need an upgrade!

    2. Cookie Press & Decorating Kit - Like Marie up above, my mom always made spritz at Christmas time with her copper cookie press. We always say the appropriate way to make spritz results in the first sheet having burned cookies - we don't know why exactly, but it just always did!

    3. Impressions Pitcher & Glassware - I have a small grip and the little dimples on the bottoms of these make them so easy for me to hold. I bought 2 rocks glasses and love them, so now I need the matching pitcher a more glasses.

    4. Silicone & Stainless Steel Muddler - We've been having a mojito summer with fresh mint from our garden. However, no muddler leaves us using the bottom of a wooden spoon handle. Stainless & silicone will make cleanup a breeze, too! No worries about wood warping if forgotten in dishwater while we drink away the summer evening.

  48. Norah says:

I always have such a hard time with this contest, because, seriously, what does Crate and Barrel NOT have. I keep going through my registry and trying to pick things that I haven't mentioned before. This week, my tops are:

    1. That blender! Because who doesn't need a blender? And as much as we make smoothies, it would be nice to have one that sleek to leave on the counter all the time.

    2. The Stanton Satin Flatware, because it's so stylish and affordable. And how cute is that spoon???

    3. The Leo All Purpose Glasses, because they're so classically retro. I'd feel very Mad Men-esque drinking out of that glass.

    4. The Stainless Steel Measuring Spoons. I know, I know, it's weird to get that dorked out over Measuring Spoons. But these are awesome - super heavy so they won't bend in the dishwasher, just the right handle shape, and super cute to boot!

I love your Margarite theme, I've been trying to drink the "Skinny Girl" margaritas so I can be in shape for my wedding and the blender would come in handy!

I can't wait to register at Crate and Barrel, so many great things! I chose a theme for my favorite 4 also. I'm going to register for all of these - they will come in handy for breakfast in bed!

    1. Palau Bed Tray
    2. Mirror COffee Carafe
    3. White "coffee mugs" with coffee printed on them
    4. Krups 12-cup Precision Coffee Maker

  50. Stephanie says:

Outdoor entertaining is something we love to do. We are lucky to have a deck and yard in our San Francisco apartment and like hosting dinners on the deck or in the yard. With outdoor entertaining in mind and hoping for a mix of bright colors, I chose:
1 - Wide Cylinder Pitcher (75 oz). Would be great for pitchers of summer cocktails.
2 - Zoe tumblers. These are great for outdoors. I like to keep things simple for indoor entertaining, so prefer all white or clear glass pieces. But outside is different and I love the bright colors.
3 - 3-piece Tomato Slice Bowl w/ Lid Set. These are so cute for outdoor entertaining when you want to keep it casual. And no transferring to Tupperware! Just put on a lid! Also great for picnics.
4 - Bucket Grill. Even if I'd cooked dinner inside, I'd use this grill to cook communal s'mores after the outdoor dinner party.

    Thanks!

  51. Anne says:

I love everything - its so hard to narrow it down! But if I must...
    1. KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer in the chrome finish. I don't bake, but I know I would if I had one of these!
    2. Tomato / Mozzarella slicer - 2 ingrediants of my favorite salad and so fresh for summer!
    3. Sullivan Carafe - something about using a carafe makes me feel so established and wordly
    4. Brushed Stainless Iced Bucket - this has the same feel to it

  52. I don't know if you can fall in love with a blender, but I want a divorce from mine. Chops, blends, grates, purees... that's what I expected. My blender came with an extra setting though and it's constantly stuck on sucks. Ice laughs at it and I have to confess... I want to leave my blender for yours.

#1. Breville ® Ikon Hemisphere Blender
    #2. KitchenAid ® Professional 600 Stand Mixer
    #3. 68-Piece Buffet Flatware Set
    #4. Avalon Extension Dining Table

These would make my kitchen such a better place...

  53. Brittney says:

I love C&B, actually registered there for our wedding last year (before I knew that StyleMePretty was having this awesome opportunity). We've been married for 3 months now and a blender was one of the things that we did not get... so this would be awesome.

My fav 4 C&B finds are:

    1. Cypress Dinnerware: I love this color (it was in my wedding). It can be dressed up for Christmas or it could be super cute for a Summer Dinner

    2. Impressions Pitcher: I got the Glassware set for our Wedding, now I just need the pitcher to complete it :)

    3. Mira Vase: how elegant is this vase!? just put some flowers in it and call it a day! love me some purple too! (purple and green were our wedding colors

    4. Veggie Peelers: these are very inexpensive and super cute... I may just go buy some myself

  54. Adele says:

My fiance and I have lived together for over a year, so our registry will have items that we need to upgrade or special items we haven't splurged on.

    1. Roulette White Bowl 12": These bowls would be great for a big bowl of soup or pasta. I love how wide it is!

    2. Rustic White Platter: I've always liked to use white platters when entertaining. They go along with everything! I love how simple this platter is, but it's so unique with its rustic edges.

    3. Bedside Carafe 23oz.: I've been looking at this carafe for years.. but I've never bought it. I love having houseguests and it's really important to me that they feel at home. This carafe would add a great touch to the guestroom.

    4. Cuisinart Wine Cellar- 8 bottle: This is another item we have wanted for a long time but we haven't treated ouselves with it. It would clear up space in the fridge and keep our wine the perfect temperature!

  55. Lauren says:

I actually just had my shower this weekend and my 4 favorite gifts from Crate and Barrel are:
    1) Stella Vase (it is so pretty and I can't wait to fill it with some hand picked daisies)
    2) Ice Bucket (it is so sleek and shiny!)
    3) Acacia Wood Salad Bowl and Bamboo salad hands (I just love this bowl's shape and the cool salad hands, it makes me want to eat salad every night just so I can use it!)
    4) Windham Storage Tote (this basket is so spacious and really sturdy, the color is beautiful and it is bigger than it looks on the website, perfect for storage and decoration!!)

    I heart Crate and Barrel!!

  56. Marita says:

Oh, that blender would be the best for making slushy drinks for our annual West Indies Day Parade party! Russ and I love buying up tons of Jamaican street food and having friends over to sip iced beverages and watch the parade from our fire escape. My poor 10-year-old blender has worked very hard over the years and deserves to enjoy its retirement.

    My newest four faves are:

    1. Henley floor pillows: for glamorous coffee table dining with our friends.
    2. Belmont dining table: so that we can eat in our eat-in kitchen and not have to resort to coffee table dining. Plus, since it's so tall it will make for a much more convenient work surface. And it has so much built-in storage! It's a winner in so many ways.
    3. Wooden plate racks: invaluable for getting our chaotic pot lids into some kind of order.
    4. Ricci room divider: Russ is a musical theatre composer, and it's really important for his writing process that he has at least the illusion of separate working space, even if it's just a subdivided corner of our living room.

  59. Pips says:

    1. I adore the Logan Short Table Lamp! What a pretty, functional design!
    2. The Stainless Steel Place Card Holder - these are inexpensive, but absolutely adorable - I thought about using them as table number holders at my wedding, but they're great for dinner parties too.
    3. Love the shape of the Samara vase, though the petite-version "Tall/Wide Flat Vases" are on sale at the Outlet - same shape for a stunning $5.95! Yes, I'm a bargain-hunter!
    4. Arden Candleholders - these are just so slek and thrilling; a really nice update to the old fashioned candle holder.

  60. Debbie says:

Now that summer is coming to an end I can't help but gleam at the onset of fall.. and with that in mind it has inspired me to update my Top Four Picks —

    2. Mira amethyst vase. Like #1, perfectly colored! Plus it's my birthstone color, can't get much better.
    3. Meat tenderizer. Apparently C&B is the only store left that makes good, old fashioned, hammer-style meat tenderizers. We searched high and low to find it.
    4. Delish cake platter. All the better to display my gluten-free, baked creations. :)

    3. Sifter. OMG How many recipes have I ran into where it requires sifted flour?! Eek, I need one of these bad.

Fun, fun, fun - I love Crate & Barrel! We are so excited for our fall wedding and happily passed the two-months-and-counting mark last week. We are both looking forward to some quality downtime following our big day, especially the chance to relax with friends and family at home in some of that free time we have been missing of late. Fall is definitely my favorite season – the perfect time to make use of those cozy, inviting registry items.
    1. Lima Alpaca Throw in Persimmon. So plush, so pretty, so fall.
    2. Leaf Platter. I am already craving the mix of cheeses, nuts, and dried fruits we would serve on this!
    3. Cuisinart 9-cup Food Processor. We are lucky to already have many of the other small appliances we need, but this is a must-have for us. The thought of all the pasta sauces, soups, and breads this will help out with is really, really exciting. Really.
    4. Individual Round Au Gratins. I love making individual sized servings – perfect for a night at home with friends. Plus, these will be beautiful with our new red dishes.

    3. Mini Serving Tong looks elegant on the side of plates and prevents sticky fingers
    4. 2 piece chip and dip has a clean, modern feel to it.

Would love a new Ikon Breville Blender that would halve my prep time in the kitchen.

  85. Kate says:

We spent many an hour in Crate and Barrel finding the perfect items for our gift registry. I consulted with my fiance as to what OUR favorite four items were as a couple, as opposed to what our favorite items were individually. After an exhaustive conversation, a drum roll please .....

    4) Bed Tray Palau - What better way to encourage us to surprise each other with breakfast in bed or take care of one another when sick than will these gorgeous wooden trays that fold flat for easy storage.

    3) Bamboo Dish Rack - I refuse to wash things that are "hand wash only" out of principle (dishwashers were invented for a reason and I promised myself after college that I wouldn't ever hand wash anything once I bought a house with a dishwasher) and my fiance willingly steps up to take care of these items. So, the dish rack makes his job easier, which encourages him to hand wash, which keeps our sink clean. This leads to us both being happy!

    2) Mezzaluna - It's just awesome! We cook a lot with herbs to add flavor, and this is the perfect tool for chopping them up! We can't wait to a) get it and b) use it!

    1) And our NUMBER 1 FAVORITE ITEM is ... the Bamboo Bar Board. It's eco-friendly, dishwasher safe (see # 3 for the importance of this) and the perfect size for both cutting AND using as a serving piece for cheese or other appetizers.

  86. Amy L says:

My four most RECENT Crate & Barrel loves are these:
    1. Their wonderful coffee/espresso maker
    2. Their panini maker
    3. Their punch bowl set
    4. And of course, the blender shown above

How can anyone narrow down their Crate & Barrel favorites to just 4?!?!?

Okay, I'm going there right now!

  87. maria says:

finally got to c&b with the fiance this weekend. i'm loving 1. Lindsey Paisley Bed Linens 2. Collapsible Cookbook Stand 3. Invisible Magazine Rack 4. Bamboo Tea Bag Box
