For those of you thinking of doing the butterflies, I have a few hints. Because the slippers were soft leather it was difficult for them to adhere. Neither Elmer’s, Crazy glue or hot glue worked. I finally found a glue that shoemakers use called Barge Cement. I clamped them and let them dry. The feather butterflies were from Hobby Lobby but Michael’s has them too. I wasn’t happy with their pink color so I painted them lavender. The barrettes are easier to do if you use plastic ones. It was fun and as you can see it was well worth the effort!
