Okay! Today’s wedding feature is awesome. It’s a little bit modern, a little bit traditional….a lot gorgeous. It actually reminds me a little bit of Kathleen’s of Twig + Thistle’s wedding that we featured a while back, with modern styling and details that will make you completely and totally swoon.

From the gorgeous bride, Audra…
I’ve been obsessed with SMP since the moment of my engagement. Admittedly, I haven’t known what to do with myself since the wedding and all my free time which was once spent on wedding blogs. As a graphic designer I saw my wedding as an opportunity to showcase my style and personality, to brand us as a couple, in a sense. I found the best way to let my personality shine was in the tiny details. Everything from the programs to the cake topper I thought about in great length. Also, being on a budget, most of these projects required a DIY execution, which also helped to give my wedding a unique look and feel. Overall, Id say the style outcome was contemporary with an eclectic sprinkling.
As for the fashion…I purchased from J Crew and had a seamstress add the flowers, an overlay, and a train… I had a vision, and she really made it come true. The bridesmaids and groomsmen also wore J Crew.
which jcrew dresses were those....love the color :)
where are the clear candle holders from? i love them!
the clear candle holders were purchased from crate and barrel.
I love the gents green ties - where did you find those!! We are using that same shade for "pops" of green in our black, white and "pops" of green wedding!
ties were just purchased at macys. And the ribbon around the flowers matched perfectly and was purchased from paper-souce.com
I am so impressed with this wedding! It seems this bride and i have lots in common (colors, DIY projects, obsessed with SMP)
The flowers are incredible (looks very expensive)
What is in the book/ envelopes? Where was this wedding?
What flowers are included in your bouquet? I am thinking about doing some sort of white on white combination for the flowers at my wedding and would love to know what you included and which florist handled the flowers at your wedding. Thanks!
love that idea for a guestbook-super cute and allows guests to be thoughtful with their messages (without feeling like they're putting it out there for everyone to see) very genius.
love it! :)
Audra,
I love love love your idea of purchasing from JCrew and then making it your own. Genius! Beautiful wedding and I am digging the color palette.
Amanda
Sarah,
We bought the flowers for the bouquets for the mothers, grandmothers, myself and all the bridesmaids for about 400 dollars total. we just bought ribbon and pins and florist tape and put them together the night before the wedding. WE used peonies, hydranageas, green fillers, hypernicum berries, etc. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
I love this wedding - it's a similar color palette to what I'd aiming for. Perfect modern/traditional combo. And I love how beautiful the flowers look and the fact that they were handmade!! Well done, Audra!
Such a beautiful wedding!! Where are the bridesmaid dresses from? So cute and I love the color!
The flowers are beautiful - I love all the diy touches!
Is this wedding in St. Louis? That looks like the civil courts building downtown....
LOVE that an STL bride was featured!!!
