Crate and Barrel Favorite Four!

July 27th. 2009 by Abby Larson | Filed Under | 102 comments

Guess what time it is!? Time for another round of Crate and Barrel Favorites! You know the drill…I will share my latest Crate and Barrel loves, then you pick your new top four products, listing them in the comments section. At the end of two weeks, we’ll pick one lucky reader to win one (or more) of the products listed here. Pretty awesome right?

Well, my latest must-haves are all about the Summer…and the perfect, Summer picnic!

crate and barrel

1. The AWESOME table in a bag. It’s kind of the coolest invention I’ve ever seen and is absolutely ideal for a sweet, but elegant summer picnic with your hubby. I would just keep this baby in my car and whenever the inspiration strikes, pull over and set it up.

2. Candle in a bucket. Nothing ruins a picnic faster than a slew of mesquitos. This citronella candle will keep them all at bay, so you can kick back and enjoy the evening without distractions. Love that.

3. Just because you’re sitting in the grass dining on KFC, it doesn’t mean that your picnic can’t be all about the pretty. I LOOOVE these glass plates that will add such a special touch to your dining alfresco!

4. What’s a picnic without a little vino! This wine carrier hold two bottles of standard white or red and is insulated so your whites stay nice and chilly. It’s an absolute MUST HAVE!

* * *

Summer is hands-down my favorite season, so I am eating these little treats up. Plus, a picnic is such an inexpensive way to bring the romance back. And to thank your hubby for the hours upon hours of wedding talk! So, this round’s winner will receive…the incredible table in a bag, plus the picnic blanket that you see in the picture AND the wine carrier! Just leave your four favs below!

And if you haven’t already, make sure you set up your wedding registry for Crate and Barrel through SMP to enter to win $4,000 smack-a-roos! Take it from me, your chances are still really, really good! Click here for all the deets!

  1. Jenni says:

Oh my goodness I have never seen that table in a bag but that is by far the coolest thing I have ever seen!!! I love picnics, but with our new puppy she doesn't like us sitting on the floor with food unless her snout is stuck right in the potato salad! I would LOVE to have this. We could go to the park with friends and bring her along without fear of eating dog hair! So I suppose that will have to be my number 1.
Number 2 is of course still, and always will be, the Kitchenaid Stand mixer. I just can't help myself but to light up at all of the beautiful cupcakes and cookies I could make with the use of that BEAUTIFUL machine...sigh....
Number 3 is the cold beverage jar because what's a picnic without a big jug of lemonade spiked with mint leaves? Not to mention its absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
And last, but certainly not least, is the Jackson Bed. What a beautiful bed that would easily become an elegant place to sleep, and a conversation starter to anyone who sees it!

...sigh, if I could only live in the rooms in the Crate and barrel catalogue!

  2. Colleen says:

Just an FYI -- The link to the $4,000 is broken ... I'll be back later with my four favorites!

  3. Lauren says:

What fun things! I would have to rank them as follows:
1.Wine carrier - because it would be perfect for toting wine to Jass in the National Sculpture Garden on Friday nights
    2. The plates are super cute and would look great serving along side the white bone-china I registered for at C&B
    3. The table in a bag is too fun and matches my table cloth!
    4. Bugs are the worst at a picnic, eveyone needs a citronella candle, especially one this cute.

  4. Shelley says:

    1. LOVE the table in a bag!!
2.The Cuisinart food processor is a must!
    3. DēLonghi ® Healthy Indoor Grill
    4. The Azure dinnerware set so we can get rid of all our old, ugly dishes!

  5. Amy M says:

How fun! What a clever idea to have a picnic table all rolled into one easy grab - leaves our hands free for the goodies we bring to the picnic! My four summer faves are a piece of cake (literally!) to name! One, the Kitchenaid Mixer (it's so dreamy, isn't it) for a little picnic cake and Two, the Ice Cream Machine to make that cake a la mode! Number Three is the Glass Beverage Carafe with Lid for the sun tea we make outside and number Four is the Concerto Wine Saver for all that wine that summer begs you to drink! Thanks, SMP, for such a fun giveaway!

  6. Michelle says:

I have that table in a bag!! I LOVE it! It comes in handy for so many things besides picnics, like having girlfriends over for pizza and movie nights!

  7. Nicole B. says:

What an awesome idea! I agree with you that it is one of the coolest inventions hands-down! I live in Texas and my fiance lives in Seattle right now. I'm moving up there in 2 weeks (the wedding a month and a half later) and we are driving my car all the way up there. We have a 6 day roadtrip planned (a mini pre-honeymoon if you will) and ths would be perfect for all our stops through Denver, Salt Lake City and Oregon!! Plus, he doesn't have a car right now, so when I bring mine up, he's already planned little day and weekend trips all over Washington State for us so that I can get used to my new state -- isn't he the sweetest?! So this item would definitley get A LOT of good use for us! Therefore, for my top 4 Crate & Barrel items, this table in a bag would have to be #1. Remaining items include:
#2 - The Pannini Grill: until I find a job, I dream of having my fiance come home for lunch breaks and there I am, in the kitchen, making the perfect sandwiches for us to enjoy on his lunch break! #3 - Krups Combination Pump Espesso/Coffee Maker: I'll definiltey need a good coffee machine in Seattle! and #4 - I am ridiculously excited about the Acacia Chip and Dip set. I imagine us settling down for movie nights and snacking on veggies and dips or chips and salsa ... the perfect evening in!!

  8. Stephanie says:

I love the green plates! Also the Cuisinart food processor - I need one of these! To have a KitchenAid Mixer would be a dream (hahah) and a beverage jar! I would love any or all of these :) Your blog is really great, thanks!

  9. Monica says:

That picnic table rocks! I cannot wait to get one for summer Concerts on the Square here in Madison WI!

That pick inspired me to think about other 'tabletop' ideas and here are my top four picks --

#1 is the Palau Bed Tray - I would love to use this for entertaining, tea, and especially to bring my hubby breakfast in bed (it would be an excuse to beat him out of bed for sure!)
#2 is the Caliope napkins which was so bright and cheerful
#3 Mimosa Flute: what BnB would be complete without Mimosa? and this architectural glass seems like such a manly way to drink it! PLUS, I could use them for a little bud vase as well.
#4 is the splurge that I don't think he would ever allow me, but I know he'd relish in when I brought him BnB: one of the exquisite Breville Venezia Espresso machines :)

  10. my fiancee and i were just registering the other day on crateandbarrel.com
a few things we just loved....

Cast Iron Square Grill Pan and the grill press for panini's - my man's been talking about it ever since wondering if we can get registry gifts early.

    The
Champagne/Wine Stopper sounds like an awesome addition to my kitchen. we usually drink about a half a bottle of wine and it's never really the same the next day.

we also really loved the Tomato Slice Bowl Set of 3. totally has some retro appeal and utility.

we've been dreaming of a picnic lunch, so any of the items in this post would be a stellar addition to our kitchen.

    xoxox~~~

  11. Colleen says:

    1. I am in dire need of a KitchenAid Stand Mixer before the holidays, and I love them so that will be my #1 even after (hopefully) I receive one. 2. Then I love the Green Performer Grill, it's the perfect tool for outdoor cooking! And we grill a lot down here in Texas, it's too hot to turn that oven on May-September! 3. the Oxo Pop containers, I swear these things are awesome. You can keep anything in them forever and it doesn't go bad, I want them all. and 4. the wine carrier, we go to BYOB places all the time and this would be great! I love being able to go places and bring our favorite wines without having to pay and arm and a leg to get them! So handy!

  12. Elaine says:

My kitchen is lacking two essentials, a food processor and KitchenAid stand mixer. i love making things from scratch, and am very particular towards baking. Third, any storage for my baking pans is a must, so my oven will no longer be a storage unit. Fourth, more ramekins, my friends love my pumpkin creme brulee and i'd hate to deprive any of them of its fabulousness because of a shortage on ramekins :)

  13. Lauren says:

I just love the table in a bag idea! My fiance and I just bought a house by a park and we take our dog there weekly for us to enjoy the sunset and our chocolate lab to enjoy the pond (he's practically half fish) My registry must-haves are 1. The Ona Pitcher, its so fun and chic, 2. All Clad Lasagna Pan, you could use it for almost every casserole/lasagna/roast you make 3. The Wüsthof Ikon 8-Piece Knife Block Set, for everything you'll ever need to chop and they are like jewelry for your kitchen counters! 4. and i just love the Tomato bowls! you can use them to serve your food or to keep them in the fridge without getting more dishes dirty, i love them!!

  14. Gabrielle says:

I love the table in the bag (1) -- I hope they keep that in stock for next year too :) Some other favs are the Calphalon NonStick Pans (2), The OXO Pop 10-piece set (3) and the Verdura Platter (4)
    Thanks for the chance!

  15. Amanda says:

My top four are 1. The Cusinart Griddler, love that it has both grill and flat plates! 2. The Cusinart Food Processor 3. The green plates you chose, and 4. The Radcliffe Mirror. 2 kitchen essentials, 1 meal essential, and 1 decorative item :)

  16. Melissa says:

The table in the bag is amazing! I also like the Carnavale Picnic Tote, 5-Piece Parker Bowl Set, and the Hathaway Swivel Glider. I added all of these to my registry!

  17. Lindsey says:

Because my fiance and I are notoriously known for spontaneous getaways, the table in the bag is AMAZING! We have always kept a piecemeal basket together but this is such an adorable and practical thing we would use all the time! Following that, I absolutely love the Maremekko Lehtimaja bedding set (so beautiful for all seasons in our new bedroom!), the Breville electric wok (for all of our stir-fry parties!) and the Cuisinart electric fondue pot (can I just say, chocolate covered strawberries?!). C&B has the most amazing things!

  18. Laura says:

My top four registry must-haves are...1. Roulette everyday dishes 2. Kitchenaid mixer 3. Grill pan 4. A nice knife set.
I love picnics! Don't have any picnic stuff though so this would be a great one to win! : )

  19. Chandra says:

My fiance and I do picnics in Malibu all the time (it is even where we got engaged) so I would LOVE this prize!

My current 4 favorite things are: The Pizza, Calzone & Focaccia cookbook (yum!), the Flair Bamboo Salad and Serving bowls (probably counts as 2 items but will group as 1) because they are functional and stylish, the champagne and wine stopper (so you don't have to waste what is left in a bottle of champagne!), and I have to pick the wine carrier too because of our love of picnics and wine and/or champagne. And it is no longer available online :(

  20. Angel says:

"It's on the list". That's the response I give multiple times in one evening whenever we entertain friends and family. Right now my fiance and I have a mish mash of kitchen supplies from our college days (needless to say, very low quantity and none of it matches!). Anytime our guests ask for something we don't have, "it's on the list" is always the response they get. As in, it's on the list of things we need to buy/register for. Some of those items would include: 1) the Cambridge two tier server with plates -perfect for easy yet stylish food presentation. 2) Fluted dishes - these are deeper than ramekins and would have been perfect for the brownie a la mode we served last night! 3) Chelsea footed cake pedestal -what hostess wouldn't want to display their baked goods this way!? 4) Cuisinart classic toaster -yes ladies, it's true, we are even without a toaster at the moment. Ah toast...how I miss thee!

  21. rachel says:

    1. classic century dinneware... SO PRETTY! 2. Starburst Bowl (to match the mirror we already have hanging about our sofa). 3. DēLonghi ® Perfecta Coffee Center - what would I NOT do for a coffee-shop-quality drink every day?!?! 4. Bucket Grill (it does go perfectly with the table in a bag, even if that doesn't make my top 4... this week...)

  22. Katie says:

I agree that those green myrtle plates are to die for, I saw those this weekend and am very tempted to add them to my registry as soon as I finish this. I also think the birch platter is very fallish and would be great for those dinner parties that one may host. Love this piazza hurricane glass holder too with the glass bottom and three pillar candles. hmmm hard to choose just one last favorite. I think my other favorite for fall/winter that they have just added is the Rustic Botanical Fireplace, it would look beautiful on that first day you start up the fireplace!

  23. Lindsay says:

C&B has such an amazing assortment of products I'm finding it really hard to narrow it down to just 4 "must haves", but I'll try. 1st I love that wine carrier with the glass holders! so cool. 2nd- I'm in DIRE need of a food processor. 3rd- I've registered for the stainless steel charger plates and really can't wait to receive! 4th- toss up between Kitchen-aid mixer and king size set of Pima Cotton sheets. Oh the list is endless really...;-)

  24. ... I LOVE this set!

Ok.. my top 4 are... 1. Starburst bowl.. LOVE. 2. The big mega mixer! (Kitchen-Aid) 3. Chelsea Footed Cake Stand.. LOVE LOVE LOVE this! 4. Sad to say.. but kitchen towels! A girl can never have enough kitchen towels!!

    Thanks again!

  25. Kim B says:

I had no idea they made table in a bag, how cool! It's perfect for a picnic or... tailgate party! I also love the picnic wine set, I'm in AZ so can barely step outside until October but could see using this with my fiance all winter long :)
My other C&B must haves: 1. I am loving the design of the Granite Cheese Board with Hammered Handles, and accompanying Artisan Cheese Tools. The Baking Stone With Handles for yummy pizzas the gorgeous Flare Mango Wood Bowl because it looks like it would make any salad taste amazing!

  26. Marisa says:

The table in a bag is amazing. We have a fabulous outdoor concert venue nearby; my fiance and I love to pack a picnic with wine and sit on the lawn to see shows there. This would make our picnic complete. Thank you for the chance to win!

  27. Kristi says:

Oooh, love the table-in-a-bag... I've never seen one quite so much fun as this. My top four must-haves are: 1. OXO Pop Container Boxed Set of 10, 2. Couture flatware, 3. Claire Ecru bedding set, and 4. The Pullman Bench for the bottom of our bed in the hopes that one of my two giant dogs would sleep on it and one would sleep under it (instead of both trying to sleep on me!!)

  28. Kate says:

    1. Mimosa champagne flutes - so functional, modern, and finally! a glass for my favorite drink!! 2. baking stone with handles (with handles!!) - we make our own pizza all the time...our classic "date night" activity, and our favorite get-together with friends activity. A pizza stone would definitely be awesome! 3. classic century salt and pepper shakers - OK, not so super exciting, BUT everywhere else we have looked we have found overpriced, not-so-great looking, acrylic salt and pepper shakers...then we found these! Say good bye to the shakers we nabbed from the dorm cafeteria! 4. Kitchenaid mixer (surprise!)

Table in a bag - how cool is that!!

  29. Stacy says:

Oh! The table in a bag is perfect! We are always hauling our pups around with us but hate having to keep an extra eye that they don't knock over our food or drink while out picnicking! A little table would be perfect!

  30. Jess McCann says:

    1. The Ona Pitchers – These pitchers just look beautiful filled with ice tea, sangria, mojitos, or any summer time cocktail. They would be a beautiful addition to our outdoor summer dining.
    2. Leather Totes – They come in three gorgeous bold colors that I would love to just fill with fresh summer fruits and vegetables from the farmers market. Every summer we spend so much of our weekend at the farmers market in Wooster Square New Haven buying baguettes, cheese, and strawberries this tote could double as our picnic bag.
    3. Kaleidoscope Napkin – These napkins are perfect for a tacos night, or are just as fun for a summer sushi and fondue dinner party.
    4. Individual Butter Dish – Everything for us revolves around food lol It is the way to my heart. I love to throw dinners all year around and I am just in love with these individual butter dishes.

  31. Jill says:

Summer picnics--so romantic! Love the supplies... what a dreamy afternoon that would make.
My top picks would be the Paprika quilt, the Kali rectangular tray, a Bodum assam tea press, and a few of the cute bud vases--all just perfect to make our own decadent breakfast in bed! I could see the two of us making a habit out of this (although I may be the one in charge of the cooking!). Thanks so much!

  32. Brittney says:

I love all of these things - too cool. The table in a bag is really unique - but I LOVE those green plates - they are perfect. My wedding colors were green and I love it! That candle would also be neat for a night in the backyard :)

  33. Libby James says:

I am in the middle of a bedroom redo and was so inspired. I love love love Marimekko ® Lehtimaja Bed Linens, Marimekko ® Lehtimaja Shower Curtain, Samara Vase, Carmen Pillow and a million other things! I think blue is so soothing

  34. lynn says:

How fun! That table in a bag looks like so much fun! My choices are 1. Table in a bag! 2. Oxo 10 piece pop container set 3. Storage jar with clamp 4. the Birch plate

    Thanks, this is fun!

  35. # 1: I love picnics and local VA wine festivals, and my husband is sweet enough to indulge me quite often by packing specially cheeses, baggers, with my favorite fruits. The table in a bag would be perfect to set out all our goodies that he packs. #2: We could also easily use the wine carrier on our excursions and make it easy to carry everything. #3: We love Sangria, and have the perfect white Sangria recipe, that we serve all the time and was the especially drink at our engagement party, the Ona Pitchers, would be perfect to showcase our special drink during summer house parties. #4: The Citronella Bucket Candles are cute and functional, great for any summer deck party.

  36. Angela L says:

Thanks for introducing the Table in a Bag. I am wanting to do more outdoor events and have a couple of pinics.
The items that attracted me from the site is 1.) Genie Dessert Plates (very bold and colorful) 2.) DēLonghi Healthy Indoor Grill ( I had allowed my parents to use the one I have but I never got it back) 3.) Cuisinart 4qt. Digital Slow Cooker 4.) Pekoe Vase (love to have it on my coffe table)
    Thanks for this giveaway :)

  37. Stina Dallons says:

OMG I would love to win that table in a bag. We eat at the park all the time, plus we have tons of guests come over and we have a little backyard. And the wine holder is another great way to transport your fave vinos from place to place. I really want a picnic basket too but we didn;t register for one....I have never ever seen that table in a bag thing before. I'll have to check that out on the registry now. Then again, I HAVE seen a playpen in a bag so it's the same mechinisms.

Anyway, my most wanted on the registry keep changing because people keepm sending gifts
    1. my waffle iron
    2. the griddle top. OMG then we can make more than one pancake at a time. How nice to be able to eat warm pancakes at the same time (gasp)
    3. our plates. I can't wait until we finally have matching, non chipped, pretty plates to eat on.
    4. My cake pans. I love to bake!!!

  38. annie says:

how fun! i came here to get some wedding planning tips but came across this fun contest.
so i found a pretty well priced candle website (www.zestcandle.com) to buy some centerpiece decorations from, but what else can i put as a centerpiece?

    any ideas?
    thanks in advance!

  39. Allison says:

I love the picnic in the bag! The candle bucket is useful and nice as well.

  40. Meredith says:

How awesome is that table?! My top 4 are: 1. KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer 2. DeLonghi Healthy Indoor Grill 3. Mario Batali Dutch Oven and 4. Cuisinart SmartPower Blender. Thanks for the contest :)

  41. Megan says:

Oh my gosh I think you're right, that table-in-a-bag is one of the coolest inventions I've seen! My fiance and I live near a reservoir that's surrounded by park land so we love to go picnicking there! Now that I know about this, I'd have to say it makes my top 4 registry! So the whole list would be: 1) Table in a bag! We have a set of plates and silverware we always take with us, and it would be lovely to use that on the table! 2) Matching towels - we have a black and white bathroom but our towels are all mix and match random bright colors from our college days or hand me down beach towels - I would absolutely love to have the Marimekko bath towels (in mist gray, to match the black and white!) 3) a Cuisinart slow cooker! I can't wait to come home to dinner simmering and ready 4) any and all Calphalon pots/pans! Our IKEA ones are slowly falling apart! Thanks for the fantastic giveaways!

  42. Katie says:

Table in a bag = pure awesomeness!!! I am also in LOVE with the cute/classy candle as mosquitoes seem to devour me whenever I'm outside. As for my fav four...

    1. Ona Pitchers: an innovative take on a water pitcher. The sleek design is rad ;)
    2. Rectagular Plates/Bowls: Their sleek shape and clean white color are sure to compliment any/all colorful meals served at fun dinner parties.
    3. Parker Bowls: fun, colorful, and inspire a perfect batch of chocolate chip cookies :)
    4. Simple human slim step trash can: I am always in search of an incognito trash can, this one certainly does the trick!

  43. Caroline says:

My crate & barrel wish list at this very moment would be as follows: #1 Cold Beverage Jar - (this would add the perfect touch to any outdoor party and also gives off that vintage feel. Perfect for lemonade and would look so nice with sliced lemonds floating around....yes, I've envisioned this)! # 2 McCallister Wine Wall Unit - I mean c'mon...how fantastic would it be to have one of these in your house!? I can't fit all of our wine glasses in the cabinets...so this would be perfect addition and brings such sophistication to a home (in my dreams). #3 Double griddle two sided. I just made eggs and man would it make it easier if I had a griddle! :-) #4. The green plates in your post. They would go magically with my green Anthro wine glasses. Such a vintage look!

And I must say...I am TOTALLY purchasing that table in a bag for myself and others. Great gift idea!!!

  44. Natasha says:

My FI and I have two wonderful kids (boy 2 years old and girl 5 months old) and we love to take them out doors to play and it also gives us two some time to enjoy eachothers company while our sone plays. With kids sometimes it could become a little too much with the packing getting ready etc... My choices would make our family outtings easier 1. Table in a bag is handy and great for the kids, 2. Carnavate picnic tote is colorful, fun and great for storage 3. Bucket grill for yummy BBQ its compact great for packing, and looks like if its easy to clean 4. Salad spinner easy and helpful. Thank you :)

  45. Great! A simple touch of elegance for picnic. I believe that my daughter will really enjoy this set.

  46. table a-go-go... such a great idea!!! you're right it's the coolest invention!

  47. Peanut says:

My fiance and I are both grad students, so our cupboards are filled with mismatched and hand-me-down everything! Needless to say we were very excited to register! Here are our top 4 Crate & Barrel items:

    1) Claire dinnerware 4-piece place setting: how luxurious would it feel to eat dinner off fine china every night? Plus it's dishwasher safe no so arguing over who is going to do the dishes!

    2) Stemless wine glass - perfect for everyday use, and can serve as water glasses in a pinch. These are also dishwasher safe (notice any trends?), and we plan to use these when entertaining larger groups - easy cleanup!

    3) Reversible double griddle - we can make breakfast on the griddle, then flip it over and use the grill to make burgers for lunch!

and last but not least ...

    4) the KitchenAid Stand Mixer - every bride's favorite registry item!

  48. Angelica says:

Our friends and family have been giving us there hand me downs. Trust me we have appreciated everything they have given us. We are very simple people and trying to be eco-friendly. We found some items that fit our style and needs. This is our top four products. First, is Bamboo Bath Accessories. Second, Melamine Bamboo Dinnerware. Third, Bamboo Bread Box and Fourth, Bamboo Dish Rack with Utensil Holder. Thanks a bunch...

  49. Kellie says:

I thought I'd put my name in the hat, so to speak. Well, I usually don't even temp myself by looking at Crate & Barrel. Their stuff is always so great...and I would love to register there for our wedding. But it is completely impractical when you live in WY. I'm not even sure where the closest store would be. Not convenient for our guests.
I love the plates. Love them. Green is my favorite color and one of the colors for our wedding. Its the perfect happy, serene color. The plates would be great to use inside or outside. I can see us using them on our soon-to-be-build patio. Or inside while sitting in our new dining room. I also really like to candle too. They look great together. So the candle would be good to keep the bugs away when using the beautiful plates outside on the patio!
Thanks for all you do for us stylemepretty fiends. :) Love the site and I am addicted to it. THe give-aways are just icing on already delicious cake. :)

  50. Monica says:

My fiance and I love coffee and tea and two of our top must haves are the Chambord french press and Uplife Brushed Stainless Steel teakettle. I am also obsessed with the OXO pop containers! Our new #4 is the Shun knive set - apparently Rick Bayless loves these knives, so this is a must have for my fiance/chef :).

  52. Leora says:

  53. Kate says:

I love this contest because I have two out of the four on our registry but haven't received either yet and they were my faves we put on the list!! - the two were 1. Table in a Bag, and 2. the wine bottle and wine glass holders. I have to say, I really really would love the table in a bag. We have a wonderful music festival located 2 blocks from our house that happens in August every year and this bag would be PERFECT for it. Plus it would be great for almost all other summer activities!!! Our wedding was 2 days ago, so chances are, if we haven't gotten it already, we will have to buy it. Crossing my fingers, love it!!!

  54. Damia says:

Ooh! #1: We have that table in a bag on our list! since we do a fair amount of camping/roadtripping it'd be perfect to add a chic touch to our impromptu picnics.

#2: the Vinturi red wine aerator is so perfect for us. It's easy to have a great-tasting well-aerated red at the ready even when you're on the go. No more decanting and waiting!

#3: for a larger gathering, I'd love to serve drinks (mint tea or maybe sangria) in the cold beverage jar. How great would it look with floating slices of lemon or fruit on a hot summer day?

and last but not least, #4: the weber performance grill. My fiance loves that thing and we would get so much use out of it. (Runner-up is the oh-so-cute bucket grill that could travel easily with us).

  55. sabrina says:

summer is my favorite time to BBQ and picnic. Even though I live in midtown, we have so many parks that my financee and friends just like to hang out outside. The wine bottle and glass holders are my favorite thing as it is always a risk to have your wine bottle or glass tip over every time you move on the blanket. I would have loved to have them in college since in Milwaukee, Jazz in the Park used allow you to bring your own alcohol (our choice being wine) so we could picnic while listening to awesome music.

  56. Crystal says:

I love the Crate and Barrel Favortie Four because it gives me new ideas for registrey items. My favortie four are the KitchenAid Stand Mixer, the Bar Tool set, Cuisinart SmartStick Hand Blender and the Couture Flatware. Thank you for another wonderful giveaway.

What great favorites!!! My favorites are all for an outdoor picnic. The park by our house has these great outdoor concerts, so I would love to be set up to host friends joining us at the concert! Therefore, my top 4 are (1) Table in a bag, (2) bucket grill (it's portable!), (3) On the go grill tool set, and (4) the wine carrier! Such a fun giveaway!

    2. DēLonghi Six-Slice Toaster Oven
    3. Bamboo Dish Rack with Utensil Holder

  59. Ashley says:

Thanks for the great giveaway! I love the kitchen aid stand mixer, indoor grill, Aluminum Magnetic Knife Holder (when you live in a small condo, anything that saves space is a fave!), and the Footed Cake Platter With Dome (not really an "essential" item, but looking forward to receiving one none the less!). Thanks again!

  60. Kristin says:

Your summertime picnic faves are all great! In fact, they inspired me to hunt around c&b.com for my *new* fave 4! Here they are:

    1. Weber Performer Grill. My fiance absolutely loves to grill with charcoal (he even makes me grilled portobellos as I'm a vegetarian!). He would use this grill all the time, and it's such a cute green color I might even start grilling too!

    2. Bucket Grill. While we're on the grill kick, why not pick up a teeny bucket grill to take tailgating at our favorite Brewers games? Love it.

    3. Marimekko® Lehtimaja Sheet Sets (green). Since I love all things green, I love this sheet set. Seriously, I might have to drop everything and re-do our bedroom like STAT!

    4. Trace Vase. If I'm re-doing our bedroom in greens and whites, this deep brown geometric vase would accent the room perfectly :)

    Thanks again!
    KD

Oh man what an amazing giveaway! Dave and I head to Maine for vacation in a few weeks and I've got outdoor picnicing on the mind! This would be so perfect for our trip. So my top four are sort of in keeping with the summer outdoor dining theme...(1) the bucket grill (it's cute and portable and Dave's a total grill master...perfect for bringing up to Maine with us), (2) On the Go Tool Set (compact but comprehensive--great for on-the-go island grilling), (3) Savona Stripe Table cloth (perfect pop of colors for dining on the deck), and (4) the Green and White tray outdoor serving platter (my mouth is watering just thinking about it!). Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

  63. jenny says:

  64. Jamie says:

Top 4 New: 1. Carmen Pillow - love texture and available colors 2. Mango Wood Tray - love smooth finish, dark wood and clean lines 3. Bamboo Pot Cleaner-Scraper - if this can truly save me from scraping potatoes and chili from big pots with a scrubber, then I'm in 4. Dawn Mugs - love the handmade feel

  65. Victoriah says:

I've been lurking at crate and barrel as much as I have here (which is A LOT)...love this contest!

we love C+B. i shop there even when I'm not looking at a registry or finishing up my own! my top 4 would be the candle in a bucket (we have 4! always room for more), Footed Dessert Dish, Oxo Pop Containers, Silver Travel Mug!

  67. Katie says:

This is my first Favorite Four contribution. I always thought Crate and Barrel was too ritsy and expensive for us to register with, but after so many Favorite Fours I just couldn't stand it anymore! And come to find out, Crate and Barrel has the coolest stuff in our style, AND it's affordable! I'm in registry heaven! My top four as of today are:
Gingko Tabletop Pillar Holder. this will be perfect on the dining room table (once we get a table, haha)
Table in a Bag (perfect for picnics in the mountains next to serene waterfalls)
Lume Pillar/Taper Holder Set of 6 (great to decorate a fireplace or low dresser)
Acacia Wood Salad Bowl (i love the natural wood bowls! so gorgeous and timeless! perfect for serving my mom's cabaage and almond salad!)
Thanks, Style Me Pretty, for introducing a bride on a budget to the perfect registry!

  68. TandM says:

C&B is dangerous... I always come out with an armload (or trunkload) of new things. On my list of current faves: KitchenAid mixer, wide top glass canisters for keeping all my baking supplies handy, the mix mirror set to add visual interest to our entryway, and the simone daybed for lounging in our little reading nook.

  69. Krystel says:

    1. Love those new birch plates! now I want both the plate and platter so I can stack them with a real birch log section in between to make my own tiered platter. 2. Oh, those molded glass prep bowls! That lip would help when I'm trying to pour into my mixer. 3. Creme brulee dishes! My fiancee and I love creme brulee and it's the only 'eggy' dessert he'll eat. 4. The Impressions pitcher - we have a few glasses like this that I like to drink mojitos out of. A pitcher and we could make a big batch!

  70. Dana says:

oh i love this store- it's too hard to choose just 4 things. BUT i love their Marimekko bedding in any color and pattern, i love them all! I love the Avalon Extension table in white. I love the Camille Dinnerware set. and i love Ankara chair. That is the best looking chair!

  71. Allison says:

Wow! Though my fiance has told me that I'll have to do my camping with his nieces and nephew while he stays in a nearby hotel, I might actually convince him to experience the great outdoors with such chic outdoor accessories!! Anyways, my four favs from Crate and Barrel: 1. Kitchenaid Mixer (I mentioned in the last giveaway I hoped I'd get one at my shower so I can use it to make the wedding favors!!), 2. Cold Beverage Jar with Spigot - now that it's finally summer in New England I envision this sitting on my counter filled with lemons, limes and water - yum 3. the Herb Keeper - keep that mint fresh for mojitos! 4. Panini grill - because winter will inevitably be here again and we'll want warm and melty sandwiches....
    Thanks for another amazing giveaway!!

  72. Stephanie says:

Crate and Barrel is like a playground for me. I could spend hours perusing (and buying). At the top of my list right now? #1 The Agave Bowl: What a beautiful serving dish? I would serve big family style summer pastas in this dish, or maybe a big salad. #2 I NEEEEEED the Yasmine Rug. It's perfect for my dining room. I would get an 5x8. #3 Breck Table Lamp! I would put 2 in my living room. The orange color is repeated throughout my house and it would look so nice! #4 The Anju Bed Linens would be gorgeous in our bedroom. The whole room is Asian-inspired so this subtle pattern and rich color would fit right in!
    I LOVE this giveaway!

  73. Julie says:

I agree with the other comments -- I get giddy every time I go into Crate and Barrel. Lately, I've been somewhat obsessed with creating a bedroom that is very relaxing and serene. With that in mind, I've been inspired by these products: 1) the Marimekko Lehtimaja Bed Linens in that mist (soft gray) color, 2) the Organico Blanket, 3) the Cherry Blossom pillow, and 4) the new Marimekko Lehtimaja Bath Towels in the same mist color -- because I can't resist matching with the bedding!

  74. Lillindy says:

    Love, love love these things:

    1. The Moonflower Rug (this would be beautiful in the family room of our new home!)
    2. The Pascal sideboard/hutch (it matches my new last name so it's sooo perfect!)
    3. The Table in a bag (after all the hard work on our new house, it would be nice to use this for a little date)
    4. The Dinnerware Storage Set (would be awesome to keep my new dishes safe when move into our new home)

  75. Elisa says:

The Celebrate Brooklyn! concert series is a summer staple in our NYC borough, and we try to hit up as many events as possible each year (the sponsoring organization, BRIC, is the beneficiary charity for our wedding registries). Whether we're out on our own or with friends, we love to pack a dinner, smuggle in a little vino, and make an evening of it. The giveaway items would be the perfect way to class up our adventures and keep children from trampling our tuna salad-- especially the ingenious table! My favorites are steadfast from the previous contest: 1. Quality knives like the Wusthof Ikon block set to speed up my kitchen choppy-chop. 2. KitchenAid Pro 600 mixer, mostly for my fiance, who is the baker of our operation. He makes a mean pie, and we're baking mini cheesecakes together to give as wedding favors. 3. The Ricci Room Divider screen, to give my fiance private space at the piano while he's composing, mask the music gear-filled living room corner when he's not, and pretty up our space in the process. 4. The Metropole Chair: There is nothing like a big, squishy leather chair to curl up in while reading a book, snuggling the cats, and listening to my fiance play killer jazz. Thank you for for organizing these giveaways!

  76. alyssa says:

Love, love, love the table in a bag! We are getting married this fall and hoping there are still a few mild days left after the big day. A picnic is a wonderful way to slow down and celebrate in any season! Most definitely my #1!
2: A set of cotton napkins in Marigold. We are working really hard to use cloth napkins all the time, so expanding our collection would be really helpful. Love the gorgeous fall color and the oomph they would add to any outdoor entertaining.
3: The 4-piece round storage bowl set. Clean and simple and so useful. And a good eco-friendly option for that picnic!
4: Two Gallery Trays. For when we don't want to be anyplace but home.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  77. Liz M. says:

I love everything on our C&B registry, but this week I am especially coveting:

    1. Mario Batali red individual casserole 2 cups - I see the two of us eating individual pot pies or some other yummy comfort food on a cold night out of these cute cast iron pots.

    2. Cuisinart Smart Stick hand blender - I am a huge fan of blended soups in cold and warm weather (LOVE gazpacho). A tool like this is 100 times easier to use than a ladle and a traditional blender, which generally results in a big mess on our counter!

    3. White footed soup tureen and soup bowls - how pretty would a green pea soup look in these lovely dishes?!

    4. Cuisinart wine cellar - we also created a registry with our local wine store. A little wine fridge like this one would give us a great place to store special bottles.

    Thanks!

  78. Laura S. says:

    LOVE CRATE AND BARREL!

    1) Black Belmont Kitchen Island because I have the perfect spot for it in my fiance and my BRAND NEW HOUSE!

    2) The Madison Large Platter for all those big family dinners we can now have in our BRAND NEW HOUSE! (Can you tell I am excited about our brand new house?!)

    3) The Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer because everyone should have one of those glorious pieces of heaven.

    4) Shesham Wall Mount-Stacking Wine Rack because I love wine, you can pick the size and it MOUNTS ON THE WALL! Beautiful.

    Thanks!

  79. Ruth says:

LOVE the table in a bag and the wine bottle and wine glass holders. What fun! I also love the duboise mirror (I have a serious THING for mirrors!) and the Three-piece glass canister set. Mmmmm.... I love the clean lines of glass jars and mirrors. And bottles :)

  80. Kathryn says:

    1. Finley dinnerware - one of the main reasons we registered at C&B!
    2. Crepe pan - why not?
    3. for the fiance - Donegal beer mug
    4. Weber Performer Grill

  81. Clementine says:

Hands down the best item in the "ravinia" table. that is what my friends and I call it. I got one for my bridal shower and my hubby and I use it all the time!!

  82. Andrea says:

Thanks for highlighting such perfect summertime picnic picks! My all-time C&B fave is the perfect Petrie, hands-down, but this beauty is too grand to fit in our conservative SF apt! As for my four fave items of immediate use, they are as follows: 1.) The Candle Lanterns! I'm obsessed with lanterns for our wedding, these instantly set the mood, adding romance or warmth to any occasion. 2.) On the lighting tip, I also love the Piper, Pixie & Trix vase candle holders. They would actually be perfect with a citronella candle on the deck - so modern and pretty! 3.) The Emma and Marimekko Pillows are absolutely adorable and would look amazing on the patio, adding color and fun. 4.) Finally, I go with your pick - the table in a bag! Instant picnic! I only hope it's not too heavy.

  83. Marita says:

What a great idea to include some fun items for summer entertaining, because that is the most fun time to have friends over, and it's awesome if your registry has some things to help you achieve great summer fun! I've seen that table-in-a-bag in the C&B store, and it really looks nice! So that definitely makes my list: (1) Table-in-a-bag; (2) The Three Piece Tomato Slice Bowl & Lid set - this is great because it has 3 functional mixing bowls, with lids (must-have), and they are a cute summer-inspired design for outdoor serving as well! ; (3) The Acacia Salad-Serve set is just beautiful for entertaining indoors or out, and its an important staple item! ; (4) The Acrylic Margarita Glasses - because nothing says summer deliciousness like a Margarita! I'd say to get at least 6, but you could 8, 10 or even more if you have a large outdoor space for having people over, or if you plan to soon!

  84. Amy L says:

So my new thing right now are the 1) little aqua plates. They come in red as well and I'm not sure if they come in other colors. I think they are adorable and want to buy like 50 of them. Unfortunately, even though they are only $5 each, we don't have any C&B gift card money left! :( Maybe a straggler gift card will show up on our doorstep in the next few days and I can go buy some. I think they're so fun for parties and sweet breakfasts and they are just an adorable decoration. :) Love all the summer stuff that you have in this post. 2) I've been drooling over all their cupcake stuff--the cupcake holder, cupcake mix, even the hand towel with cupcakes on it. Too stinkin' cute! 3) Cheese grater with box...greatest invention. That was on my list of things to get with my leftover giftcard money but the giftcard money ran out. :( And last but not least, 4) definitely the candle in a bucket. I mean really...how much cuter can you get? That is adorable. I saw it when I was in the store. All the colors are so summery and sweet. I LOVE C&B!

  85. Debbie says:

Summer is by far my favorite season! Here are our summertime C&B must haves:
    1. Herb Keeper for fresh summer salads,
    2. Leave In Meat thermometer for checking meat on the grill,
    3. Bucket Grill for portable grilling on the beach,
    4. Lettuce Print Market Bag for strolling along the Farmers Market

All of these fun and great accessories are just PERFECT for warm weather! Thanks SMP and C&B-- you are fabulous! :)

  86. JD says:

There are so many things that I could list. Here's 4. 1. Marimekko Tamara Bed linens (ours are getting pretty shabby) 2. Glass digital scale 3. Matilda Vase 4. OXO Uplift Teakettle (because my old kettle had to go. It was rusty.)

  87. R says:

I love Crate and Barrel! Favorites (of the moment) = 1)Cove Place Settings 2) Table in a Bag 3) Multicolored cloth napkins, and 4) French Press.

  88. Geri Wolf says:

    1) Chelsea Footed Cake Pedestal 2) Alfie Candle Holders 3) Piazza Hurricane 4) OXO Mandoline

  89. Laura says:

In terms of new products, my four favs would have to be... the birch plate and platter, so chic. The wine carrier, LOVE! And, the Organico Wave Bed Linens.

  90. Kim says:

I love the picnic set. so cute!

  91. Carolyn says:

I love Crate and Barrel -- my current favorites are:
    1) the Tripoli Server -- gorgeous and looks perfect for cupcakes or pastries; 2) Reversible Carve-Serve Board; 3) Zamora Centerpiece Bowl; and 4) the Carnavale Picnic Tote -- I love this idea!

  92. Tina says:

#1. The Ringo Rug, since we just painted our living room red and ripped up the carpet to expose the hardwood underneath, this black and white rug would be the perfect finishing touch to our new room!

#2. The Nodder Antique Fish Print, the FI has an obsession with fish. He just loves them, ever since he was a little boy. To this day, when visiting a new city, the first place we have to go is the aquarium. He would love any one of these fish prints.

#3. Hamish Table Lamp, We don't like the harshness of overhead lighting, and prefer lamps. The only problem is--our lamps are all old hand-me-down lamps and super ugly. This lamp would literally brighten up our space.

#4. Herb Keeper, This handy little gadget would be perfect for us. The FI and I both love cooking with fresh herbs, but we can never seem to use them up before they go bad. Hating to waste, we've stopped using fresh herbs. Maybe this little device could bring some freshness back to our kitchen!

  93. Morgan says:

    1. Vincenza Curtain Panels as we have an east facing living room and desperately need curtains to block out the sun and protect our fading furniture!
    2. Ophelia Mosaic Mirror, I love the romantic, antique yet modern look of it.
3 & 4. The Basque Java dining table and & matching chairs to replace my fiance's ugly bachelor pad table & rolling *gags* chairs.

  94. Michelle C. says:

My fiance and I love food so our top four are still kitchen related. 1. Le Creuset french oven. I love that this can cook on the stove and in the oven. I've learned to make yummy roasts from my roommate and can't wait to make it for my love!!! 2. Ona pitchers. We looking forward to hosting together and these pitchers are great for serving drinks. 3. Calphalon Tri-Ply stainless steel cookware. When we first went to start our registry he didn't want to get a 2.5oz, 6oz, 8oz pot. There was too much! But now he's excited to get the set and cook for our dates at home. 4. Tray. I'm excited for breakfast in bed! And hope to get a tray to bring food to eat in bed. : )

  95. Anjali says:

I love that picnic table - a friend of mine has it, and has brought it to many an outdoor concert....I completely covet it.. so that's my #1. #2 is the Cove dinnerware - I love the blue of these dishes and they complement the dishes we've both already amassed in our single lives. #3 is the olivewood mortar and pestle - my soon-to-be-husband is an avid woodworker and we both love the grain in this piece. Useful AND gorgeous, what more could you want? Finally, #4 is the Cambridge 2 tier server - we entertain quite a bit, and nothing is better than sharing wine and tasty bites with friends. The server would be a step up from serving directly from the cutting board! Thanks for the giveaway!

  96. Lindsay says:

I like the Genie dessert plates (so colorful), the GreenPan fry pans, the GreenPan wok (for my soon-to-be hubby to make me his awesome stir fry), and the mini mortar and pestle. Man oh man why did I ever look at all this stuff? Now I guess I'll have to add "register at Crate & Barrel" on my to-do list. *sigh* Thanks for the opportunity to win though!

  97. PDXBride says:

So funny how much of this is already on my must have list (aka my registry!)
    1. Table in a bag
    2. Wine Bottle and wire holder stakes
    3. Acacia Platter
    4.Acacia Wood Chip and Dip

I love to entertain, but I need some necessities for those wonderful summer backyard bbqs!

  98. Janet says:

Ahh sweet summer! My favorites are: 1) The weber performance grill. I love the color and the flavor of charcoal on my burgers. Plus we just bought a house with a pool so it would be awesome to fire up the grill for a pool party! 2) Table in a bag! Perfect for the trips to the beach. I hate sandy food. 3) hazel 20 piece flatware set - the first thing I made a beeline to scan when we set up our registry. 4) Compost pail - to help my first attempts at growing something. I'm growing peanuts!

  99. FC2SF says:

Do San Franciscans ever have a summer??? It's always so foggy here, but we would love the Corn Zipper before our local corn season ends! What truly would make us excited would be the Cuisinart Electric Fondue set for our chilly evenings along with the a glass of white biodynamic wine in a Nora White/Rose glass...Oh and we can't forget an Ona Pitcher.

  100. Julie says:

My four favorites: 1. The GreenPan Anodized Frypans-- I would love to be able to cook with nonstick pans, but the fumes are toxic to my fiance's birds. Unless, of course, I get GreenPans, which don't release the fumes! 2. Flare Mango Wood Bowl -- Gorgeous wood that just happens to be eco-friendly and sustainable! 3. Universal Splatter Screen -- I make my own Cincinnati chili, since no restaurants serve it in Minnesota/Wisconsin. This would make clean-up a breeze! 4. Delia Vase -- Whenever my fiance brings me flowers, I have no place to put them other than one of my water glasses. This vase is beautiful, but simple enough to not distract from the flowers.

  101. Kate says:

First thing my fiance and I did with a shower visa giftcard was take a "wedding-free" picnic, so this giveaway is perfect for us. Our favs go right along with some of your selections above. We went to our favorite winery for the picnic so #1 the wine carrier shown above for all our future picnics, #2 is the Mirabel Decanter for the wine we collect on our picnics #3 I lust after the Lodge Skillet and look forward to years of seasoning my own cast iron skillet just like my mom's and #4 simple and cheap - Poach Pods (we love brunch at home and poached eggs are required!)
