Thanks so much for mentioning our summer dress feature from Brides.com. We loved picking the dresses. I thought this season was so much about the details rather than a big bold statement dress.
One of my favorite details from the dress photos above is the thin ruffled back straps on the Reverie dress–top row, third photo. So lovely & light!

I agree with Lilamoe’s comment about it’s nice to see sleeves on some of the gowns. The strapless wedding gown has had more than it’s far share of it’s “15 minutes of fame.” I’m all for putting some new styles in the mix.

I’m calling these fabulous details “First Lady frills” inspired by Michelle Obama’s Inaugural Ball gown. I seem to be buying every T shirt, blouse and dress in site that has these fabric details- even shoes and a hairpiece for my own wedding this August! LOVELY!!!

It’s so nice to see dresses with sleeves. I took a friend of mine shopping for a wedding dress the other day, and it seemed like alllllllllll the dresses were strapless. These are beautiful (even the strapless ones, but after spending 3 days looking for ones with sleeves I’m a little biased!).

Jcrew is having a sample sale this week in NYC and they have many dresses marked down to around $300! and TONS of bridesmaids, shoes and flower girl dresses. I was there this morning.

I noticed awhile back that the JCrew dress on the middle row never actually “came out” for sale. All the others from that 2009 collection already have. I was hoping for this dress for my wedding….love the detailing!
