Charleston Wedding From Calder Clark Designs

Today’s delightful wedding is from Charleston’s Calder Cark Designs.  Alice and Jeff’s wedding celebration was planned around a few key elements … a cool French blue and crisp khaki color palette, natural and preserved boxwood fixtures and greenery, vintage crewelwork graphics and Charleston charm … of course!

SO many of our favorite weddings are in Charleston! Alice and Jeff’s spring wedding took place at the William Aiken House.

A “Mason Dixon Station” was set up … a signature drink consisting of local Firefly sweet tea vodka blended with lemonade and garnished with a lemon wheel and served in mason jars tied in whip-stitched French blue grosgrain ribbonMmmmmm … such a sweet touch! If you’re going to do a signature drink, this is the way to do it! FILL it with ice and you’re pretty much set for the day.

“Take A Wish ~ Make A Wish” stations  were a huge hit!

Calder Clark Deisgns incorporated so many special touches throughout the day …

The ribbons on the chairs is such a great idea! I will have to remember that one.

I love how you hung the laterns from the oak tree!!! The location where I'm getting married has oak trees and I think this would look beautiful. Where did you find the laterns?

This wedding is so charming. The soft blue & yellow. The venue is also beautiful- I love the colors in the reception space - they are so bold.

I found the idea of wishing wells really nice. The guests could write a congratulating thought for the couple, but they could also take a good luck wish as a thank you for taking part in the celebrations ... That's very thoughtful!

Also, I loved how the French blue ribbbonns were incorporated in the design: for the chairs, tree adorned candles. Really inspiring!

    Congratulations!

Gorgeous! I love the color palette, it's so fresh and crisp. The flowers are stunning, the Mason Dixon Station is very cool, I love how it was set up on the table with the napkins. The lanterns in the trees are a great touch also.

    Dear beautiful bride,

I hoping that you'll share your "mason dixon" signature cocktail recipe with me?! I've been looking for something similar for my wedding and this is absolutely perfect!

    Thanks!
