There is only one word that appropriately describes today’s featured affair…lovely. Absolutely, positively lovely. On SMP, we tend to highlight a ton of weddings that are heavy on charm but few that are simple in their traditional styling. Sometimes, the best weddings are the most traditional…where simple, elegant details add up to a spectacular affair…

From the lovely bride, Grace…
I wore a silk satin Melissa Sweet gown that had been described with words like “couture” and “old Hollywood glam”. Looking back, it was really the dress that set the tone for all that followed. The glamorous Hollywood divas of the 1930’s and 40’s era became my source of inspiration. My talented stylist, Christal Saville, was responsible for the classic updo and pin curls that you see in the photos. She also provided the pearl and rhinestone hair accessories which complemented my look perfectly.
Her Dress is beautiful! The back especially in the picture on the stairs.

I have a veil very similar to yours. Mine did not come with a comb to attach to my hair. Did yours? If not, can you tell me how it was attached? Thanks.
Her dress is gorgeous. I love the dress-on-the-bed-shoot :-)
I love the atmosphere - all of the trees and greenery really set the stage for a wonderful event.
Thank you all for your comments! Angela, my veil was a Bel Aire Bridal veil that came with a comb. It worked really well with my hairstyle and stayed in place for the entire afternoon. Perhaps your stylist can provide suggestions for attaching your veil.
Hi Grace, this is Annie from Logan and Lisa's friend. I was on Style Me Pretty because Andrew had a featured video yesterday on this blog and when I went to it again today, I saw the two blog entries on your wedding. Congrats on getting your wedding featured on this website. It looked like a beautiful wedding.
If you want to see Andrew's video, it's here, http://www.stylemepretty.com/2009/06/29/wedding-magazine-behind-the-scenes/ .
Gorgeous shots, I love the setting - congrats
Hi Annie, it's so wonderful to hear from you. Thanks so much for your note and providing the link to Andrew's video. Congratulations, I think this is a great example of his talents in cinematography. Can't wait to see the actual spread in Bride's magazine!
Grace, Andrew worked with Lisa Lefkowitz on that video so you two have something in common. I just saw the other entry of the reception, the details were simply gorgeous. It shows that you put a lot of time and thought into every aspect of your wedding.
I love the atmosphere - all of the trees and greenery really set the stage for a wonderful event. thanx for you
