Ok, back to today’s featured affair. If you thought that the ceremony was gorgeous…wait until you see the reception that this lovely couple threw!

The event was PURE romance and the photographs only help us to see the absolute, unabashed beauty of the day. If there is one lesson from today’s wedding, it’s this…layer, layer, then layer some more. The bride used this gorgeous garden inspiration as her starting point, then continued to bring in different textures and mismatched layers to create a sense of effortless elegance.

I have absolutely no idea if this bride spent $10,000 or $100,000 on this wedding…everything looks expensive and yet still captures that handmade charm that we love so much on SMP. The look is so organic, using fresh from the garden greenery and simple, inexpensive accents like river rocks, moss and even little pieces of unexpected fruit! This is one of those weddings that I will forever love for it’s personality and intimate styling.
More on the way!
Love the flower garnish on the cupcakes and the mix of silvery greens in her bouquet! Very elegant.
Love the lantern. Where is it from?

i adore these table number cards and the excellent use of moss, rocks and other natural decor. what a great wedding!
thank you to everyone for the lovely comments and to style me pretty for featuring our wedding! shay brown from shay brown events, aria floral, and the crest center made our day completely spectacular and woodward + rick captured it perfectly!
the cupcakes were AMAZING. they were made by christina from the cake guild. she completely listened to us and our desire to have funfetti cupcakes!
the table number cards as well as place cards and programs were all done by paperheartdesign found on the etsy.com website.
Gorgeous photos - I really like the glass candle holders and the blue flower on the cupcakes were a gorgeous addition - Congrats Catherine.
As the mother of the groom, everything was incredible! The bride and groom did an unbelievable job in the planning of the wedding. Being out of state, and working required a good team to help coordinate everything. Catherine and Andrew made excellent choices, with only a few visits to Asheville, to make their selections. In todays use of websites, that was also very helpful in choosing the band, to ordering miscellaneous things. From the artist designed posters as invitations, to the Friday night BBQ, wedding ceremony, reception, and Sunday brunch, it was a weekend to remember, and not easily to forget! The guests are still raving!!!
Love this! Add me to the list of people that adore those candle holders! Where are they from?
Congrats!
Where was your wedding held?
Asheville, North Carolina, The Crest Center.
As the mother of the bride,I can't begin to tell you how proud I was to be a part of this beautiful day for our daughter, her new husband (our son-in-law), our new family friends and old family friends. It was a weekend to remember for everyone. Catherine and Andrew gave a wonderful party for family and friends. For a destination wedding, it couldn't have been more perfect. Thank you to everyone involved in making this such a perfect day for everyone.
