We are chatting with Viola at Chewing the Cud today and she is blogging about one of my all time favorite topics…details!

My favourite quote from designer Charles Eames is “The details are details. They make the product…It will in the end be these details that give the product its life.” In addition to designing invitations, I often collaborate with brides, planners and designers in designing and executing the details on their wedding day: from unique favors, welcome totes, hand-drawn signs, to the styling of vignettes and dessert buffets.

I love this favor packaging that we did with the couple’s initials printed on mini wood tiles. The monogram tiles added such a personal touch to the gift.

This was an incredible Woodlands Dessert Buffet that I styled in collaboration with planner Kathryn Kenna of the Wedding Resource. The colors and textures were inspired by the bride’s gorgeous invitations…

We have an absurd amount of eye candy on the way from the lovely Viola at chewing the cud. In the meantime, I just wanted to take a second to completely brag about the fact that, as we speak, I am sitting on a panel with the unbelievable Michelle Rago and the fabulously talented Randy Fenoli of Kleinfeld. And in the Cayman Islands to boot. I am not going to lie, I feel a little bit famous. Ha!

Hi all, this is viola from chewing the cud. Thanks for all your lovely comments. Andrea, the moss was provided by the florist but you can get them in sheets from floral supply stores. Anne, I got the wooden tiles from a local art store called Arch. http://www.archsupplies.com/ Enjoy!

Where did you get the glass candy jars with the lids? I am looking for something similar for my Orlando, FL wedding in November; fabulous!

What a coincidence! I'm in the Cayman Islands right now too on vacation and I saw the wedding planning event at the Ritz that you are attending! It looked like fun!
